My take is that Aran isn't always able to tell what exactly someone is saying, but he's gotten really good at picking up on tone.

And besides Soda being able to give compliments but being terrible at receiving them. He also tends to give complements in Russian with the intent that the reciprocant won't really catch that he's complimenting them.

First impressions matter. They get along better nowadays though.

This is them trying to not be recognized in public. I do think that Don Flamenco eagerly welcomes attention and praise most of the time, but everyone needs privacy every once in a while. Bald Bull just wants to be left alone.
