It always seems both horrifying and perfectly natural that whenever I write something personal about suicidal thinking or hating and wanting to hurt myself, as soon as I feel the slightest bit better, I turn around and start working on turning that suffering into poetry or fiction that I can share/sell to others. But I guess this is another thing that capitalism does – I can’t even feel something without worrying how I can make enough to afford to feel it. Without even having to think about it, I ask myself, How can I make up for my lost productivity? How can this pain be leveraged to improve my social status? How can I turn my pain into a product?

Do you ever look up your dead name? Sometimes I do it. I google my dead name and each time it happens I experience a strong sense of relief, even joy, at seeing that this name has indeed remained dead, at least online. There’s nothing new happening in the life of dead name; dead name exists tenuously, vanishingly in the past. Eventually – as the old websites fall into disrepair, as they’re wiped from memory of search engines and servers – dead name will disappear entirely. And then my name (my actual, chosen name) will be the only one there to represent me. And if I keep writing enough, my name will be attached to all mentions of me and my life; confirmation that I was the same person all along – when I was born, when I went to school, and when I was able to determine my own life.

new idea: hell chess
all the basic rules are the same like playstyle wise
trash talking is encouraged
you get as much time as you need but if you look away from the board your turn is over
the referee is yelling everything like a sports announcer and you cannot complain
you can take one of your pieces from the board and throw it at your opponents head but you sacrifice that piece
you have to name the king and queen something
fun additives to make the game unique:
a. close your eyes and reach into a bag of about 48 chess pieces to pull out your sixteen pieces. whatever you get is what you play and you must follow the rules of those chess pieces. if you get four queens good luck. if you get no queens good luck
b. the referee can decide to throw in as many checkers pieces as a time as they please, as long as equal pieces are distributed to both players. the players are now not only playing chess but also checkers on the same board.

Good news! My illustrated 30-card tarot deck is finally back in stock now. You can pick it up through my bigcartel store at this link:
>>> http://joesparrow.bigcartel.com/product/tarot-deck-major-arcana <<<
It costs just £15, which sorta equates to about $20 USD (+ postage which can vary). If you’ve been patiently waiting for them to reappear, now’s your chance! I got about 200 of them, so we’ll see how fast they go.
