with a fire for every experience & an obsession for freedom that terrified me to the point that I couldn’t even talk about it...and pushed me to a nomadic point of madness that both dazzled & dizzied me ✨

if your “home” can just be taken from you in the blink of an eye, was it really ever your home?

“Our goal should be to live life in radical amazement … get up in the morning and look at the world in a way that takes nothing for granted. Everything is phenomenal; everything is incredible. Never treat life casually. To be spiritual is to be amazed.”

It's the wrong conversation
To have while we're wasted
It's two in the morning
So I'm not gonna say it now
It's been six hundred days and
Some were good, some were wasted
But something is faded
We got a little off-beat
Somewhere there you lost me
You were always so clear to me
We got a little off-beat
Somewhere there you lost me
You were always so clear to me
Now you're not
I'm not gonna sleep for a while, eat for a while
Laugh for a while, love for a while
Then I'll be fine, then I'll be fine
You might want me in your sheets for a while, creep for a while
Won't get what you need so you'll get hostile
But then you'll be fine, then you'll be fine
This is not how we planned it
And we don't understand it
How we lost what we had, oh
And I don't know where it is
You filled up the spaces
With the light of a million stars
Got caught in your gazes, mm
We got a little off-beat
Somewhere there you lost me
You were always so clear to me
We got a little off-beat
Somewhere there you lost me
You were always so clear to me
Now you're not
I'm not gonna sleep for a while, eat for a while
Laugh for a while, love for a while
Then I'll be fine, then I'll be fine
You might want me in your sheets for a while, creep for a while
Won't get what you need so you'll get hostile
But then you'll be fine, then you'll be fine
Then you'll be fine
Then you'll be fine
Then you'll be fine

“Summer doesn’t want to be your enchantress anymore. Summer doesn’t want to get out of bed today. Summer wants to write a book about naked branches and empty beaches. Summer doesn’t want her skin to char and peel. Summer wants to slash the nostalgia from the pit of your greedy belly. Summer wants to incinerate your stupid polaroids. Summer is tired of three month romances. Summer wants you to love her for the rest of the year too. Summer has a stomach ache from your honeydew and watermelon. Summer thinks your lemonade tastes like sour vinegar today. Summer wants a piping cup of coffee and a warm body to sleep next to tonight.”

Loving you is like carrying a lifeless body in my arms. It is heavy, it is nauseating, it is dead weight. I carry the body to work, I gently tuck it into bed, I take it to the grocery store. I walk it to the corner of our favorite restaurant, to that one spot we’d always sit, with that one waiter we both loved. I carry it to the edge of the universe, to the middle of a black hole, to the center of a dying star. I am inconsolable, I am insatiable, I am nothing but crumbling bones and thin skin. I grieve even though you are still alive. I grieve until I collapse to the floor. I grieve until I can’t grieve anymore.
