Brand new Huntr/x just starting to get used to each other. Barely eighteen-year-old people pleaser Zoey trying desperately for these new people to like her and just going with everything they say as a result. No opinions. Way too agreeable. Barely contributes anything of substance to conversations unless its directly tied to their work, because she HAS to contribute to their work because she has to be useful or else they won't like her. But one day, one of them mentions turtles or something else she's really passionate about and she. starts. YAPPING. Just automatically. She is telling them every little thing she knows, talking at a million miles an hour, and they have no idea what she's saying but this is the first time they've seen her this excited about anything so they're happy to let her go off. After a while she starts to think she's being annoying but they won't let her apologize. They really like this side of her that actually has her own thoughts about things. It's far more endearing and easier to bond with than someone who tries to be a blank slate to fit everyone's needs.

She doesn't really believe it at first, but they keep encouraging her to open up until she gets more comfortable. She never really stops subconsciously trying to please them and stay in their good graces, but she begins to accept that they do actually like the real her, and it's the most at peace she's been with any relationships she's had in years.
