"Wow, your very own crybaby. Aren't you lucky?" he teased at his own expense. Dropping his hand to rest on Noctis's waist, Prompto hummed. "Don't worry. Doubt it'll be anything but happy tears with you." He couldn't imagine anything else. Noctis was good to him, much too good for the tears to be anything but happy.

"Anything I want, huh? Sounds like you don't want to be in charge of planning." Yet another tease. "I don't know of anything else but like, the arcade or ice cream or whatever. Not like I've had to think of dates before."

“Maybe I’ll surprise you with a kiss.” As brave as he’d been this past few minutes, he felt it waning as Prompto snuggled close and gripped his shirt. Noctis averted his eyes. “Y-Yeah… No problem!” So much for being honest and confronting his feelings.

Shaking his head, Prompto let out another wet laugh. "Turns out I'm just a big crybaby, huh? But hey, it's not on you not telling me with this whole thing. It's all my head's fault. You're always good to me." Even when he didn't feel he deserved it.

"I think I can get onboard with a kiss as a reminder. It'll be a pleasant surprise. Definitely couldn't get it confused either." Granted, he had nearly gotten the intention of the earlier kiss confused. So maybe that wasn't a given.

"it really sucks that you're grounded now. I mean, it sucked before but now it really sucks. Can't go out for anything fun together."

"I think twenty is a pretty good number. I'll have to thank you for other gifts too and I don't think I can thank you for every gift all the time until I die. I mean, I could try." It was much easier to ramble on about hypotheticals than to fully process and respond to what Noctis had stated. He hardly considered knowing himself as anything that positive, but he wasn't going to argue it.

"How about we just commemorate it and break it in with some pics together before I spend the rest of the day taking a thousand of you."

He laughed. "Prompto, you're such a crybaby." Noctis pinched his cheek. "It's cute, though. Don't worry about it, alright? I got a discount. It pays to be a prince." Or rather, to have worked part time at a camera shop and knowing the owner.

He couldn't even find it in himself to be annoyed at the pinch given to his cheek, too busy grinning through his misty eyes at the camera in his hands. It was absolutely incredible. Prompto had never imagined he'd get to lay his hands on such a nice camera outside of the demo models at the store. And now, he had one all his own to keep and use for years to come.

"This is the best gift ever, really. Thanks again, Noct. I might be saying thank you for the next twenty years for this, actually. Hope you're okay with that."

(( honestly the easiest way to rp with me ever is just to send a meme in. idc if we haven’t interacted before and it’s a shippy meme etc. if one catches your eye, send it in. i can’t guarantee i’ll answer them all but i do tend to try and answer most of them. beyond that, my IMs are always open for figuring things out prior and plotting if so desired. but, again can’t guarantee any quick responses, especially since the rpc seems to come alive right when i’m getting to bed ))
