now that seunghan officially debuted as a soloist, i can comfortably? consume riize content again? it'll be a whole adjustment personally and i know that i can never go back to how it was like before but there is something in me that still wants to try maybe? this isn't to say that i'm putting behind all the horrible things the seven of them went through and how those "fans" and SM have treated them in the past two years. i've been a fan of SM groups for more than a decade now, which is why my trust issues with that company are extremely high. when they announced he was going solo, i never believed any of it until i see it actually happen, so until then i took a break from the fandom. hearing this from seunghan made me emotional, proud and relieved that he's doing well. i'm happy that he's able to mention his former members and i hope that riize can be the same too. it's wishful thinking, but i do hope that they will be able to interact freely since they're still friends/brothers. my take is that, if you're truly ot7 then you'll either support or boycott both xnghan&xoul and riize, not one or the other, because if you choose, then you're either a solo or ot6 especially if you bring either of them down. for ot7s, no matter how painful the reality we're in, both seunghan and riize are still under SM Entertainment, bound to the same company that separated them in the first place. we fought very hard along with people who are not even fans, and i'm proud of us since we did everything that we could as briizes. maybe this is SM's way of making up to them and the fans, but we'd have to accept the current situation, as that would be what the boys would want. it's a bittersweet closure, but if you stay, you'd have to either support both officially, therefore, still supporting SM or continue in boycotting which is mentally and emotionally taxing. the alternative option is to leave the fandom like most fans already did for their own sanity. i love you shotaro, eunseok, sungchan, wonbin, seunghan, sohee and anton. riize will forever be seven in my heart 🥺🧡
