Hi, Mo Du fandom! I had this plan in mind to organize all the "extra/extended" scenes in the Audio Drama that I appreciated more and I thought it was good to share with you all!

The post will be reblog everytime I remember something else or someone else points out their favorite scenes. In this way we will love Zhoudu a bit more!

The translation is mostly automatic but in some scene I was helped and I'll quote the source when needed.

Let's go (I tried to summarize the scenes in chronological order):

1) When Luo Wenzhou cries in front of his mother at the hospital because of Fei Du.

LWZ's mother: "Son, the person who saved you..."

Luo Wenzhou tries to narrate what has happened but his voice trembles: "We were still inside......The situation was sudden at that time...The moment the explosion hit, he threw me to the ground. He used his body to block the impact, but he didn't have time to block the car door. His back was hit hard by the car door that rushed towards him.

I..." his voice is broken and he starts to sob.

"Mom, if he... if he..."

LWZ's mom: "The heaven assists the good ones, so everything will be fine."

2) - at the New Year night, when Luo Wenzhou asks to Fei Du when he plans to make official the relationship and Fei Du gives the spiral ring. Lwz is startled and then starts to kiss him fiercely and pushing him towards the bedroom.

Luo Wenzhou provoking: "who did you call old man again?"

Fei - little brat - Du: "why? I'm not right?"

LWZ: "Fine then. This old man is not going to let you out of the bed until next year." Moral of the story: the old man devours the little brat

3) - After this passionate night, Luo Wenzhou wakes up with Fei Du beside him still sleeping and he takes time to admire him.

LWZ: "He is sleeping so soundly." He remembers the early night when Fei Du gave him the ring. "hey you are still not awake at this time. Did I not control my temperament last night?"

Fei Du then asks in his sleeping: "Shixiong, what time is it?"

Luo Wenzhou replies tenderly: "stay at bed, it's 8 o' clock"

Fei Du: "hmm, thirsty"

"Well I'll get some water."

And then LWZ takes a glass of water, he drinks and mumbles to Fei Du to come closer. Before he realizes it, Luo Wenzhou is giving him water mouth to mouth. Fei Du dumbfounded coughs a little while Luo Wenzhou laughs delighted for his surprise attack.

Luo Wenzhou: "so are you awake? Uh? Hey are you okay?" And then provokes Fei Du deliberately: "who said you should get up at 6 for morning excercise? Uh?"

Fei Du smiles provocatively and he lies down again: "aren't there many kinds of morning excercises, Shixiong?"

Luo Wenzhou grabs him: "You brat. Can you please be honest this early in the morning? Don't-" and then Fei Du stops with his mouth. There are sound of sheets, rubbing, and kissing, until they hear a knock at the door. Luo Wenzhou curses Xiao Haiyang 😅

4) - when Fei Du is investigating with Zhou Huaijin, Luo Wenzhou drives him to the place where they are supposed to meet. Before Fei Du leaves the car, Luo Wenzhou calls him.

"hey Fei Du, didn't you forget something?"

"uh? what-?"

And then LWZ grabs him and kisses him deeply. Fei Du lets him kiss him with pleasure. After they separate, Fei Du whispers "shixiong". Luo Wenzhou makes him promise that he will not drink alcohol and that he must be careful.

Fei Du seriously: "Mn. Got it". (about not drinking alcohol he will keep his promise!)

5) - When Fei Du lets slip about the attempted murder (on the taxi) and tries to downplay the danger and LWZ just smacks him for not telling him before. The scene here is a bit longer.

LWZ: "you brat! You kept something so important from me?? Uh?? Asking for a spaking aren't you?"

Fei Du tries to soathe him but Luo Wenzhou puts him in a corner: "you little bastard. Didn't you solemnly swear to me that it was all alright? And I fucking thought I could trust you!"

"But everything was fine *kinda*"

"You brat!"

Fei Du can't help to soathe him with his ruffian voice: "Shixiong, dont...don't be mad..." He is trying to calm down his anger and coax him (and then he will do something that's going to make him even more scared and angry 🙈).

LWZ eventually calms down a bit but they don't have much time to talk about this: "I'll deal with you when I get back ".

But then Fei Du stops him (he is trying to cling to Luo Wenzhou a little while longer, maybe because he already has his dangerous plan in mind but can't help to cling on Luo Wenzhou and reserve for himself a little tender moment before he dives headfirst into danger.)

Fei Du calls him: "Shixiong"

LWZ stops: "what's up?"

And then Fei Du walks to him and hugs him with a deep sigh. Luo Wenzhou has already gives in and reassures him sweetly: "Hey. What is it?". Fei Du smiles a bit: "it's nothing. Shixiong.." (and when Fei Du calls him like this we can hear Luo Wenzhou startling a bit, he's so in love and attentive 😭) "..be careful" and Fei Du gives him a little kiss.

Luo Wenzhou already relaxed and irremediably in love: "Alright. Wait for me here. Don't go running around"

Fei Du holds off on answering for a couple of seconds. He breaths heavily: "Got it"

Luo Wenzhou lets out a sigh of relief and caresses him: "I'm going now."

"Mn"

When Luo Wenzhou gets out, Fei Du sighs heavily.

6) - When Luo Wenzhou realized what Fei Du has done (he was just kidnapped).

"Fei Du, you crazy!"

"Impossible... impossible..."

7) - When Fan Siyuan imposes Fei Du to press the bomb and Fei Du remembers his mother screaming: "you cannot yield! You cannot surrender!" And even though he can't breath he repeat these words.

8) - Luo Wenzhou is crying and sobbing for Fei Du after he saves him at the end of book 5 😭 he's so hearthbroken.

When Fei Du says "All the monsters have been cleaned up. I am the last one... Can you let me be locked up in your house?", the scene is extended here.

Luo Wenzhou through the sobbing replies: "I will not only lock you up, but also lock you with me... for the rest of your life!"

Fei Du repeats with harsh voice because of his condition: "For the rest of your life..."

Luo Wenzhou continues to talk despite his sobbing: "I have already said that you are mine. Even if you breathe, it has something to do with me. You must follow me for the rest of your life. You are not allowed to run anywhere." and crying and crying.

The scene ends with Fei Du trying to repeat what LWZ said but he falls in coma.

9) - Fei Du sees his mother in an allucination after he passes out at the end of book 5 (before Luo Wenzhou says "I came too late").

He sees a younger version of himself at the beach who plays with his mother, a fake memory.

Fei Du thinks: "The sunshine, the waves, the sound of the piano and also her smile... I have never seen her smile like this."

His mother comes and talks to him: "is it all over?"

"It's all over"

"That's good. Fei Du, the road that you walk after this is still very long. You have to live well."

Fei Du laughs a bit: "mom, I'm doing very well right now. I met a person... a person who I can spend my whole life with."

"That's great. This way, your mom's heart will be at ease. Fei Du, do you see that light? You must remember: always walk towards the light"

"Towards the light..." and he has a flashback of every moment Luo Wenzhou caring for him. (The translation of this scene was helped by pearl_milkteas on X)

10) - When Luo Wenzhou is scared because he doesn't find Fei Du in his apartment on the novel extra and he runs through the stairs and then in the basement. After he hugs Fei Du desperetely and Fei Du sees how LWZ was scared for him, Fei Du tells him: "Shixiong, I'm alright. You don't have to worry"

11) - After they bury Fei Du's father and talk about his mother and Fei Du cries for the first time in front of Luo Wenzhou, Luo Wenzhou offers to carry him on his back down the hill.

After Luo Wenzhou thinks that he can never stop loving him and that he has fallen into the hands of this bastard, Fei Du attracts his attention by calling him.

Luo Wenzhou: "mn?"

Fei Du: "I love you too" with a beautiful and romantic soundtrack in the background.

12) - When Fei Du has just taken Fei Qian, Luo Wenzhou calls him and we can hear an extended conversation:

"What do you want for dinner?"

Fei Du: "dinner... I want baked prawns!"

Luo Wenzhou: "oh perfect! There's a new seafood place just outside our house, why don't we-"

Fei Du: "no! I want to eat your cooking"

Luo Wenzhou sighs: "but it's finally weekend. Can you let me slack off this once? You know there's an opening promo, 20% off"

Fei Du being super brat: "no!! I'll only eat your cooking"

Luo Wenzhou sighs and chuckles: "I don't get you. Every time we have shrimp, you just open your mouth. You don't even eat unless I peel them for you."

Fei du: "hmm how about.. this time I do the peeling and feed you? How does the sound?"

Luo Wenzhou laughs content and amused: "fine!"

13) - Fei Du is talking with LWZ about Zhou Huaijin who is working hard everyday, often overtime at Fei Du's company. He even sleeps on the sofa in the office. Luo Wenzhou suddenly sighs as if he was sensing something and says softly to Fei Du: "hey come here." Fei Du accomplishes.

"Fei Du?"

"Mm?"

"Do you... do you ever have those days?"

"What days?"

"Not wanting to go home. Lonely. Not willing to talk to people"

Fei Du sighs and chuckles a bit: "No. Because I never had home."

Luo Wenzhou listens silent for two seconds and then says tenderly: "hey..."

Fei Du: "but Shixiong... since I have you wherever you are is my home"

Luo Wenzhou stops breathing and he inhales a deep "fei du", inable to say much because too many feelings and hugs him 💝 (he is still so overwhelmed everytime Fei Du shows with honesty his love!)

14) After this scene later we can hear the cats fighting behind the room and Fei Du stops whatever him and Luo Wenzhou were doing (🤪): "wait a minute wait a minute. Those two brats seem to fight again."

LWZ: "Let's them fight. I don't have time to take care of them. Mr Fei, why are you still distracted?" (Luo Wenzhou is a flirt too!).

15) - At the end of extra we have a recap of Luo Wenzhou and Fei Du through the years. At the beginning young!Fei Du and Luo Wenzhou were like dog and cat, Tao Ran insisted they should take care of the child but Luo Wenzhou played tsundere.

Luo Wenzhou once sighed dramatically and said to Fei Du that in winter he should wear more clothes. When Tao Ran wasn’t available, Luo Wenzhou once cook for Fei Du but the child didn't quite appreciated.

Fei Du: "I'm full"

Luo Wenzhou: "what? You only ate two and you're done? I cooked dumplings for you and you're still being picky"

Fei Du sneers: "you call these dumplings? These are noodle strips boiled with meat filling"

Luo Wenzhou: "you! Brat. Take it or leave it"

And then we have Luo Wenzhou trying to learn how to cook better in his kitchen. The first step to become Daddy Luo.

16) - This is a new extra. They are cuddling while they are talking about food.

Luo Wenzhou: "okay let get this straight. This kind of food is a nope. Spicy food is a nope. You are really hard to sustain."

Fei Du: "But shixiong, i'm very easy to keep" (the mood is like Fei Du is referring to himself as a pet)

LWZ: "since when??"

Fei Du: "I like to eat everything you cook 😇"

LWZ: "you only know how to cajole." But he can resist to his charm and gives Fei Du a long kiss.

Fei Du is out of breath: "shixiong...if one day you were to leave me, my heart would die." This words are not just to flirt. He's really vulnerable and sweet in his true feelings.

Luo Wenzhou reassures him: "Don't worry. I won't leave you. We have our whole life ahead of us."

17) - A new silly extra

Fei Du is trying gently to wake him up: "Shixiong come on, get up. You will be late again."

LWZ: "honey, it's still dark outside. Let me sleep a little longer. 😴😴😴"

18) - They are trying to train together 😅

Luo Wenzhou complains that Fei Du is a stupid brat and he is doing wrong positions. Fei Du whines too that he has delicate hands and that it's Captain Luo who is doing incorrect positions. Luo Wenzhou is manhandling him 😎

Fei Du: "Wait what, where do you want to take me?" Luo Wenzhou lifted him in his arms.

"I teach you how to lift someone properly. You've never had a coach. That's why I'm here 😎"

19) - New extra: Luo Wenzhou is trying to use a new app and Fei Du is there sitting, enjoying the scene. I didn't quite get the context but basically LWZ was arguing with the mechanical voice of the app because he didn't understand shit.

LWZ: "What are the best congratulations for rotten rice heads!"

Fei Du can't help but burst into laughter by seeing his old man fighting with an app. Luo Wenzhou after listening his lover's bright and precious laugh starts to babble. "Wh-What are you laughing at? I can’t keep up with the times?"

Fei Du still smiling: "Yes yes, you can... This game is a lucky game".

In the background Luo Yiguo judges them

20) - Post canon Zhoudu is cuddling and Fei Du says: "shixiong, I have a lot of money, but all my luck in this life have been used to meet you."

Luo Wenzhou as usual is a bit startled at first but replies with a decisive "brat" and can't help to hug him. Translation helped by Iangqiao on X

21) - This is a bonus extra.

One day Luo Wenzhou goes to Fei Du's office to make him a surprise (he finished work early and Fei Du in previous days was recovering from a cold ) and everyone at Fei Du's office knows who Luo Wenzhou is and whispers about him.

22) - Another extra scene. The voice actors do a skit.

One day LWZ had nothing to do and was feeling playful. He covers Fei Du's eyes from behind. In falsetto LWZ provokes him: "heyyy guess who?"

Chinese LOTM Fic Recs

I was asked about this, so here we go! (rubs hands together =D)

A few things to know:

I'll only separate by site (either AO3 or Lofter) and whether it's gen or has a ship. None of these recs have smut as far as I remember, as I rarely if ever read it.

I am not Chinese and know nothing about the Chinese language. I've read these fics through the browser translator. Likely there are errors in the translated English titles provided, please feel free to correct them.

For Lofter fics, I'm using the blog url (x in "x.lofter.com") as the writer's name, though idk if that's how it should be done.

Also for Lofter fics, I've linked the first chapter for multi-chapter stories. The rest can be found by going to the user's archive, or (with a bit more difficulty) by clicking on one of the tags at the bottom and going through that.

(all ships present are mainly in the minds of the Tarot Club :p)

(*according to this post, "Shura Field" is a phrase used to refer to an intense struggle on a battlefield but also for shows where multiple characters are in love with the same person)

Danitz, Anderson and the rest of the Golden Dream get to see another side of the crazy adventurer. (incomplete, ongoing)

【诡秘之主观影体】我于神明 / [The Lord of Mysteries] I am in the gods, by xiayanzhangxiangyi: Tianzun tries to use the transmigrators to take away Klein's anchors. In order not to lose, Klein is forced to reveal the truth of his life to several people close to him, as well as the transmigrators. (post-Book 1, viewing fic)

【观影体】如果神弃之地的 "游戏" 被围观 / [Movie Watching Body] If the "game" of the Forsaken Land of the Gods is watched, by muleyi62440: While Klein is in the Forsaken Land with Amon, the Tarot Club pray to him. But rather than not getting a response, they are pulled into the gray fog and get to watch the struggles he's going through. (viewing fic)

Mithrun and the changeling shapeshifting

This isn't directed at anyone in particular, but I see comments about Mithrun and the changelings/shapeshifting mushrooms a bit and I think there's some misunderstanding about what the shapeshifting does. Spoilers for the manga for chapters 51-the end/volume 8-beyond, and the Delicious in Dungeon World Guide: Adventurer's Bible (first one) below the cut. (Also yes, I know it's partially played for laughs in the manga, but I think Kui also does some neat stuff with it, particularly in Mithrun's case).

The shapeshifting emphasizes different racial traits, and that's going to be defined differently by each race, like how each race has different beauty standards, abilities, and puts on muscle differently (e.g., Senshi is maybe beautiful by dwarven standards, and his beard is huge, so as an elf he's beautiful by elven standards, but his beard is too powerful to shapeshift, so he has a mustache despite the fact no other known elves have facial hair). Kabru, for instance, is a sort of smaller tank, and is kind of waify as an elf (possibly because elves are just kind of waify generally, though this might also be due to his losing weight after being revived; he also doesn't have much magical ability: he has even less than Laios does, versus Mithrun, who's maxed the magic stats chart).

The most muscular elf we know of is Lycion, on the left:

Lycion still looks "skinny" in a way, but he's strong and muscular, just not Hollywood bulky. He matches a race that doesn't put on thick, bulky muscle, at least not easily. Compare this to Mithrun on the right, who isn't as naked as Lycion so we can't quite see what he looks like as an elf under his clothes, because the clothes give him some padding. The closest we get to modern him as nude as Lycion is, is that shot in his cabin in the Adventurer's Bible:

It's hard to tell, but his arms are decently muscular for an elf (also one-armed push-ups are hard, that's not something you do on a lark). His whole thing since Milsiril talked him into getting back into shape to go to dungeons has been solely that: getting back into shape to go deal with the demon, and he's had to build up his body to be able to walk on his own and stay alive long enough to deal with the demon. Given he's also a powerful magic user, but he seemingly doesn't have those abilities as a human (or at least he wasn't using his magic on the door), it might be his human form is also compensating for that. This is Mithrun's stats chart:

"Though he's an elf, both his strength and stamina are excellent. His one weakness is his terrible sense of direction." p.73, Chapter 01 / Characters, Delicious in Dungeon World Guide: Adventurer's Bible. Dudes' beefy even for an elf, even if he doesn't precisely look it. But compare Mithrun and Lycion here:

Mithrun's shorter, and the clothing is probably making him look bigger than he is, but they're somewhat similar, comparatively, once you compensate for the height differences.

We also get some shots of him in motion and wearing that tightish shirt/dress.

Clothing can of course make your bust look more defined than it is, but it's notable that we get some obvious muscle definition to him in the chest area (for an elf), and his lower chest/trunk is rather solid-looking, rather than the thinner forms of his female companions. He seems to be a bit thicker in his mid-section than Pattadol, for instance, who's only slightly taller than he is, and she and Cithis have similarly-sized waists (actually Cithis might be a little thinner? Which would make sense as her focus is on casting).

His focus is movement and physical interaction more than the other casters in his party (he has to touch stuff a little to teleport it), so he builds up his body accordingly. Which also makes sense for how he does one-armed push-ups in his ship cabin in his spare time.

I think a big reason Mithrun is viewed as weak/tiny is because he's often around Kabru so we often compare them physically. Mithrun is thinner and six inches shorter than Kabru, who is not in the best physical shape due to his revival, on top of, at this point, not having a great meal regimen due to neither of them being good at gathering or apparently making meals.

Kabru is more muscular, but not the bulkiest for a tall-man (he's smaller than Laios, even accounting for the height difference, though still tanky in his own right, I mean he grabbed Falin pretty easily, and Kabru and Falin are the same height; Laios is just big).

(I know Laios' armor makes him look bigger than he is, especially when Kabru has his off, but, ignoring the height difference, Laios is broader than Kabru, seemingly, particularly in the chest and arms).

Yeah, Kabru lost weight after the first revival, so he's not the best comparison, but if Mithrun, an elf, doesn't look rail thin even next to Kabru, who's not that skinny for a tall-man (skinnier than he used to be, but not skeletal), it kind of also says something about Mithrun. He's not like... bones. He's thin, but not rail thin (we know because he was shown rail thin in Daydream Hour during his recovery, and he put on muscle since then). And shots of him, while variable at times - sometimes he's drawn thinner, sometimes thicker, often in comparison to who he's sharing a shot with, e.g., Sissel - often emphasize how thick his arms are, even near Kabru, who is broader and more muscular. I think my best description of Mithrun is "mostly solid for a dude often running on fumes".

And we see him moving fast and hitting hard a lot. Whenever he fights, he's running, jumping, punching, or kicking something. Being lithe would help with that, but he'd need muscle too, especially for how fast he is (an easy comparison is a ballerina or a track runner, both of whom have to build up specific muscles for their craft, and regimens for both can be grueling). And he's not just teleporting people, he's smacking them hard.

He also was (and is) still notably good-looking for an elf. He has nice hair (that he doesn't pay as much attention to as he used to, but still is nice), a good body (even without half his ears, which seem important for elves), and would be considered attractive by a lot of people.

So yes, he's possibly still stringy-ish for an elf because he's likely exhausted due to lack of proper sleep (the bags under his eyes, his noted issues sleeping while in dungeons without aid), and doesn't eat regular meals (while in dungeons). But he's still muscular - to an elvish degree, anyway - and strong, particularly in terms of magical power, so it makes a lot of sense that that the guy on the left would become the guy on the right when shapeshifted into a tall-man to become a race that better creates bulkier muscle and has to compensate for Mithrun's magical abilities (also looks kind of cliche handsome, maybe mimicking how Senshi looks as an elf).

I mean obviously there are strong human magic users, like Falin... and she has stronger stats all around than he does/roughly close in some places, so it makes sense he'd be as tall and bulky as she is.

Mithrun is, canonically, way more powerful than Kabru, as well, (at least against monsters), hence probably part of why he's seemingly bulkier than Kabru as a human. Mithrun is the one who deals with almost all the monsters for a reason. It's only when Mithrun is distracted or tired that Kabru gets one over him (e.g., in Sissel's house, or when Kabru grabs Mithrun at the dungeon entrance). Notably, when Mithrun crawled out of a spider and got knocked out by Kabru in chapter 76, Kabru was pointing out that Mithrun needed to rest. He was at his most wet cat moment then... when he was exhausted. So to me at least, this shapeshift makes sense. Normal Mithrun isn't really a wet cat most of the time. He's strong. He just runs himself ragged for various reasons.
