jpn v ned thoughts:

COACH???? who is this guy??? im so clueless on rosters oh god. it's only been like 4 games and im always like "?? NEW COACH???" girl go read the rosters 😭😭😭

jpn defense insanely great as always but wada and yoshino are hitting so so well and kojima on back row is holding the line. im still not over sarina koga retiring but ishikawa is doing such a great job as captain. we all saw that coming and i really think there was no one better to take koga's spot. now everybody say THANK YOU AIRI AND SHIMAMURA WE LOVE U AIRI AND SHIMAMURA. now everybody say seki the woman that u r...........

ned again very young team and actually doing very well on defense. first set i do agree it was their serving that did it. jpn is such a great passing team and ned made sideout too easy.

you're always hearing abt jpn defense and passing but they have some real firepower in wada yoshino and ishikawa now and attack has been so balanced. cant help but think though koga retiring was losing a key piece of their offense they have ultimately come out stronger on the pins. the errors that ned is consistently making are just some rookie ones on serve receive and else that will no doubt be ironed out with time and im so looking forward to seeing them progress bc they have been playing so smart in attack and it's a team with so much potential.

this game has been so much fun!!!! JAPAN SWEEP LET'S GOOOOOOOO 💯 but netherlands defense was so good in that last set. jpn on podium again i KNOW it can happen

did not manifest thailand sweep hard enough that was my bad i will light more candles next time.

cant complain though!! i think we all expected this result with poland being so dominant on serve and block but thailand put up SUCH a good fight and i cant wait to see how they keep playing this first week. chatchu-on particularly bc shes my favorite PLEASE let her on the court but also pornpun and hattaya and achjaraporn who were doing soooooo good. to have a 24-24 was insaneeeee what. and pimpichaya you will ALWAYS be famous. top scorer helloooooo. i remember that win against turkey can they do it again..............

i miss wolosz so much augh but czyrnianska and lukasic were amazing. and stysiak of course. so many teams are getting young players on the court which is what the vnl is for and it's just great to see. especially with so many people retiring after the olympics.

what the hell was up with the stats though. 19, 22, 25 opponent errors???? no there werent 😭😭 they seem to have fixed it now in ned v jpn but i didnt watch china belgium so im not sure what was up in that one.
