Which honestly I didn’t expect at all but I’m proud of my boy. That was by far the fastest and easiest Game Master battle I’ve done but GOD the EMOTIONS-

   Farore simply watched as Link rose to his feet. She knew of Link– in fact, she knew of many Link’s. However, she tended to avoid them. Usually, no good could come from a Goddess intermingling with humans, but Farore wasn’t about to let him get mauled by a wolf.

   “I get that a lot!” Farore giggled. In actuality, she didn’t. However, the Goddess knew that those who had been blessed by the Triforce of Courage were sensing a familiar magic. It was her essence woven into that piece, after all, “Maybe I just have one of those faces? I’ve never met you before. In truth, I tend to avoid the presence of people altogether.”

    It was true- he could sense something but Link just couldn’t place what. But he was overwhelmed with a feeling of familiarity and security. He was calmed by her presence.

    “I see. That could be it.” He gave a shrug. “You live in the forest on your own? Sounds like the Kokiri but I can tell you’re not one of them.” He knew the Kokiri all too well from growing up around them. The green tunic he still wore was a testament to that.

    “Well, thank you for waking me up. I should get along with my chores. Would you like to join me?”

A Fair has arrived in town for a week! Who does your muse spend their day at it?

Time

Goes to the fair alone and enjoys it by himself. Of course, he sees many people he knows there and greets them all with a smile! He plays all of the games and has lots of fun!

Twilight

Takes Ilia and Shad to to the fair! Of course, fairs aren’t really Shad’s scene so he watches as Ilia and Link have fun. Link lets Ilia win sometimes but Link can destroy anyone when he gets down to it. Purlo still hates him.

Sky

During a small fair in Skyloft, Link joins a group with Zelda, Pipit, Fledge and Karane to enjoy the festivities. He mostly stands around as they talk and only plays a game when someone challenges him. He’s pretty good but not amazing. It’s more about being with his friends.

Wild

Although alone, Wild interacts and talks to almost everyone he meets with a happy attitude. He’s not playing the games as much as he’s watching and eating, but a couple archery games snag his eye and he absolutely rips it.

Dead of Night

For some reason, Scarlett couldn’t sleep. It wasn’t because of her brother’s snoring, she could normally sleep through that. So Scarlett had gotten up and decided to sit by her window to get some fresh air. That’s when Scarlett saw Link, carrying something that was glowing blue.

Making a very impulsive decision, Scarlett decided to sneak out of the house and see what he was up to.

Scarlett rolled her eyes and folded her arms. “I was just wondering, keep your hair on. Not many people are out at this time.” She said, keeping her distance and eyeing the sword Link had attached to his hip.

    Link wasn’t about to apologize for being defensive in the middle of the night, especially with the kind of backhanded people in Castle Town at this time. A woman tried to bait him into a scam once before. He rest his free hand on the hilt of his blade.

    Although... this woman didn’t seem do be doing anything suspicious ( other than approaching him in the dead of night ). “What are you doing in the middle of the night? It can be dangerous even in the town.”

"It's nearly two in the morning, what are you doing up?"

    It wasn’t unusual for Link to be up late at night, wandering the rough dirt roads of Hyrule or the cobbled streets of Castle Town. The night brought chills so Link was bundled up with a cloak instead of his usual tunic. There was a torch in hand and his trusty sword at his hip, just in case.

    The town was quiet at night was nearly no one on the streets minus the shady dealers. It was difficult to do any work at night, so marketers slept. Link was walking up the south wing after picking up a package from Telma. Contained was a stone from a distant for Link’s use. It had no practical uses but it glowed blue even through the paper wrapped around it.

    He hadn’t expected anyone to approach him as he headed out of town with his old steed Epona. Link perked up at the voice. There wasn’t a single hint of drowsiness in his expression.

    “Doing business,” he said as-matter-of-factly. He studied the woman before him before clearing his throat and standing up straight. “What’s it to you?”

Oh look, Kumo’s back with another blog! This one if for a wanderlust-filled Breath of the Wild OC, and a rather peculiar one at that! Braving the monster-filled world was always a difficult prospect for anyone in Hyrule, but…she felt as though she was needed elsewhere. Needed everywhere, to see everything she could, especially once a song and a strange series of sounds began to play in her head.

    T i m e .

    They say that time heals all wounds. Though with time, some may come to discover that it can also bring about more wounds. So everyone lives an endless cycle of getting hurt, healing, then hurting all over again.

    Legends recall the hardships of Link saving Princess Zelda, standing up to the Dark Lord Ganondorf, then the sages finally sealing him away so he couldn’t continue his reign of the world. Many in the future look at Link as a great hero but never consider what it was really like.

    The Link that faced off monsters and destroyed Ganon was only a ten year old at heart. The seven years he slept did nothing to advance his mentality or his understanding of the world. So a ten year old boy who was isolated in the forest for his entire life was forced to understand a lot in a very short amount of time. 

    He was too late to save the being he and all the Kokiri called their guardian and watched him perish. He was told that he was not a Kokiri at all and had a great destiny to fulfill. Link snuck around guards to meet the young princess. He went into an active volcano to defeat King Dodongo and the belly of Jabu Jabu to save Princess Ruto. 

    He discovered his childhood friend was a great sage. He killed a possessed dragon he once saved to free the Gorons. He trampled through a crypt to end a curse and worked to unfreeze the entire Zora population. 

    It’s no surprise that every little thing stays with Link for his entire life. It makes life difficult at times, but Link reminds himself that it was a mean to a good end. It all had to happen for the world to be the way it is instead of a desolate wasteland full of monsters and mummies. A young Link grew up already knowing the horrors of the world and missing his companion Navi, but he pushes through it.

Missing you…

That first night on the Surface must have been a sleepless and somber one for Link. Being so far from home, best friend missing, and bruised from battling monsters…

Just imagining the loneliness made me cry.

🍐 - How many ships have you considered but rejected for your muse?

🤔 Hmmmm… there aren’t many ships I’ve thought of for Link in general, really. Even ZeLink is very meh in all their eyes. Time sees Zelda as the princess and a fond friend. Twilight only knows her by association and has very little connection to her. Sky sees her as a close friend. Wild sees her as a distant friend. 

The only ZeLink pairing that has ever really Worked™ for me is Tetra and Toon. 

Past Zelda? Link has no real pairings. No Wild and Sidon– Mipha maybe. 

🍊 - What are your favourite genres of threads? Fluff? Angst? Etc

For Link, action and slice-of-life roleplays as it lets me explore him as a character and his environment. But he also gets to set off on new adventures and face new adversaries.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is my number two all time favorite game. Ocarina of Time was the very first video game I ever played and beat. I grew up alongside the games and had a special connection to Link. It was like I aged with him as I played the games and he gets older as the games progress (generally). 

I was originally in the Kingdom Hearts fandom for roleplay and thought I’d try my hand at interpreting Link my own way, so I made a blog for him.

    “…You know, sleeping out here is a good way to catch a cold,” Farore murmured as she crouched over Link, “You should at least take a blanket with you. Monsters may no longer roam Hyrule, but there are still wild animals…”

    Link found himself much more tired these days, so much so that in the middle of chores he’d sit down for a rest and find himself falling asleep. He had just started to doze off when he heard the soft voice beckoning him. Slowly his eyes opened and he lazily lifted his head to look at the other. Despite his usual grumpy expression when he woke up, he looked perplexed. “You’re right,” he stated. 

    Slowly he picked himself up off the ground and dusted himself off of dirt and autumn leaves. Link looks down at the other with his head tilted. “I swear to the Goddesses- I know you.” He didn’t know what compelled him to say it but it was true. He was overwhelmed with this feeling of deja vu.
