i feel like such a stupid girl. doing everything i could to make him happy, hoping i'd get one fraction of my love back. the first time i've ever fallen for someone, the one time i chose to let a person see me this close, this intimately — and he breaks my heart every time.

crying myself to sleep every night we argued, thinking i was the worst person alive for having boundaries and wishing for his love and understanding, while he probably didn't even think twice about me. calling him as soon as i thought i did something wrong so i'd be sure i didn't hurt him.

explaining and over-explaining how i felt, how my heart ached, how tired i was. waiting on him to knock at my door to say he was sorry. to give me a minuscule piece of his appreciation. i know wanting to feel loved is not stupid, but my hopes around this relationship have been, and i feel like the ultimate fool.
