Bardock's First : The Flaw Of Nature

Saiyans get shipped off to different planets from birth for the sole purpose of destroying them...so I am assuming Raditz never got the chance to meet Goku when they were children. Goku may have been his kin but in Raditz's eyes he was just some other piece of trash that needed to be taken out. All Raditz knew was how to follow his saiyan instincts, he was fully lead by his destructive nature. ....and his death would solidify the chasm between himself and Goku...

Bardock's Second: The Triumph Of Nurture

Just like his brother Raditz, Goku was shipped off from birth to a "weak" planet so that he could destroy it. However, things did not go as planned. Goku lost his memory due to injury and fell into the hands of Grandpa Gohan.

He was meant to be a brute saiyan but he was nutured and cared for as if he was human. Goku became kind, loving and caring...he met people he wanted to protect, he became the complete opposite of his brother Raditz whom he offered a chance at redemption. And so he resolved to take his brother's life for the sake of a world he was meant to destroy...
