His head slumps against his desk, forehead resting atop his crossed arms. Last night had been wild, and he remembers only bits and pieces after the gig he’d played. Lots of alcohol; Miles hooking up with someone unseen and disappearing from their little group for an hour or so. So much alcohol.

After barely picking his head up to look at her, eyes bleary and hair even more wild than it usually is: ❝ Say, ya got any tylenol? My head’s poundin’ like a kickdrum... ❞

❝ SURE! ❞ Smoking is one of his least favourite things to do when it comes to the party scene, but he can’t lie, it looks cool, so he always keeps a packet on him. The fact it’s mostly full as he flips the lid and offers it to her speaks for itself. ❝ Are you out here by yourself? Mind yourself on the street corner is all. There’s a weird dude lurkin’ around lookin’ to bum more than smokes, if ya catch my drift. ❞

Eyes flit from the rambunctious crowd that’s formed within The Hideout before they land back on Eddie. With his guitar slung over his shoulder, face-paint now removed and hair wild, he looks very different from the person that had been on stage — yet his energy is the same, that bright, twinkling look in his eye, coupled with that ever-so-slightly smarmy smile.

❝ No way, ❞ C replies, thumbing to the cluster that had just listened to CDZ shred for half an hour. ❝ Obviously they’re here for Corroded Coffin, dude. Who else? ❞

His own notes currently lay at the bottom of a very deep dumpster around the back of the school, and though he doesn’t buy into the hierarchical bullshit perpetuated by Hawkins High, he also knows that it’s social suicide to be caught neck-deep in garbage. He’s not above bin-diving — he’s just above bin-diving when there’s a potential audience.

❝ Heh, how did you know I’d need to borrow them, though...? ❞ He’s scratching sheepishly at the back of his neck now, red-tipped fingers evidence of the show he’d played last night. ❝ Am I just wearing the bullied loser look that well? Maybe I should start charging. ❞

❝ I respect it. ❞ He’s very much the same, only instead of scrunchies, it’s earrings and finger paint. He gets some funny looks for the way that he expresses himself, but hell if he gives a fuck about it. Hawkins can take a collective seat atop his middle finger for all he cares. ❝ There’s a different vibe every day, and all you can do is go with the flow. If ya fight the tide, it’s super noticeable. ❞

He looks at her current scrunchie with an exaggerated lean back, taking in the green before immediately coordinating it with her cheer uniform. He doesn’t need to ask why she’s chosen that one.

He’s still riding the buzz of his latest performance, guitar slung over his back as he leans against the bar. The Hideout is one of his favourite places to play in; it seems to attract the other ‘freaks’, and it makes him feel at home. Though he’s since shed his wig and on-stage get-up, he still very much feels at peace.
