there's a post on here that's like "the worst thing a piece of fiction can be is mean", and while I agree with that, I think it being insincere is just as bad. nothing more obnoxious than a story that's constantly sneering and rolling its eyes at its own genre in a bid to seem clever and above it all.

There is an impending cyclone heading for my city and it’s gonna hit on Thursday 🌪️

Summer often has wild storms but we haven’t had a whole cyclone this far south in like 50 years. It’s category 2. Our house specifically is not in imminent flood danger…winds we’re more anxious about. We’ve been prepping, moving furniture around, beating the panic-buying rush, putting the native bees in the dungeon, we’ll probably be fine. The people down the hill from us are 100% going to get flooded though

dean would absolutely lose cas at grocery stores and go around asking people "hey have you seen a little guy in a trench coat? 'bout yea high? [hand at his shoulder] peach fuzz, devastatingly handsome? sensible shoes? just kind of a weird, dorky little guy?"

everybody is on the lookout for some short, questionably dressed mystery man and meanwhile cas, 6' tall, shaped not unlike a shot putter, is standing at the checkout scrutinizing the tabloids like "...i'm not sure there's any veracity to these claims" while the cashier's register throws a fatal error bc she accidentally lasered him with the barcode scanner and it saw infinity

I don't really understand why people only consider destiel jack's dads, not just because sam is also there, but also because it's infinitely funnier if Jack says "I have more dads than most people" and means 1. the devil himself 2. the president of the united states 3. a fallen angel 4. that guy's situationship 5. number 4's brother
