what i meant by it changing the story significantly was like. well, consider this. if sonic is a bad guy from the start but anti-sonic isn't...what about tails? tails doesnt get his big brother who saves him. he has to learn to fend for himself, or find other support. what about amy? she has no one to help her when she's threatened by eggman on little planet. what happens to her? what about the chaos emeralds and knuckles? who uses the emeralds to fight chaos? how does the thing with chaos even happen now? and what about shadow???

the fucking butterfly effect taking place by swapping two characters' roles is so insane to me. genuinely
