sylus is impossible in the beginning, not making it easy in the slightest to be wielded. from the moment i pick him up, it's a struggle because sylus is stubborn, unyielding, sharp-tongued, and awfully proud. not because he is cruel, but because he needs to know i'm strong enough to handle him. he is aching to be tamed—but only if i earn it, and prove to him that i can be stronger.

the desert eagle is a perfect fit: too heavy, too powerful, a recoil like a punch to my very soul. he wants to resist. he wants to break me. but that's what makes him so tempting. because when i finally get past the walls, when i do tame him? he won’t just be mine. we will be unstoppable.
