What should be noted when using skincare products long-term?
Using skincare products long-term is a vital way to maintain skin health, but it’s important to adopt scientific approaches to avoid skin issues caused by inappropriate habits. Here are the key considerations:
Regularly assess skin condition and adjust products flexibly
Skin changes with age, seasons, and environment (e.g., humidity, stress) — for example, more oil production in summer, increased dryness in autumn and winter, or accelerated collagen loss with aging. Sticking to the same set of products long-term may make them "outdated": for instance, powerful oil-control products suitable for younger skin might trigger sensitivity after 30, as the skin barrier thins. It’s advisable to observe skin reactions every 3-6 months (e.g., whether it becomes dry, overly oily, or frequently red) and replace functions as needed (e.g., shift from "oil control and acne treatment" to "repair and anti-aging").
Avoid reliance on a single ingredient and be wary of "ingredient fatigue"
Long-term use of the same functional ingredient (e.g., high-concentration niacinamide, acids, retinol) may lead to an elevated tolerance threshold (diminished effectiveness) or cumulative damage to the barrier from constant irritation. For example: daily long-term use of mandelic acid for exfoliation may cause an over-thinned stratum corneum and redness; uninterrupted long-term use of high-concentration retinol may result in peeling and sensitivity.
Suggestions: Functional ingredients (e.g., acids, retinol) can be used in phases (e.g., use for 2-3 months and pause for 1 month) or paired with repairing ingredients (e.g., ceramides, panthenol) for balance; avoid long-term reliance on a single type of ingredient.
Control dosage and frequency; reject the idea that "more is better"
Excessive use burdens the skin’s metabolism: for example, applying too thick a layer of face cream may clog pores and cause acne; layering over 3 functional serums (e.g., whitening + anti-aging + oil control) may trigger irritation due to ingredient conflicts (e.g., acids and niacinamide); frequent use of exfoliating products (scrubs, acids) (e.g., once a day) can damage the skin barrier.

VIIcode T2 O2.5 Oxygen Eye Cream
VIIcode has two versions of their eye cream, and the one I have is the 2.5 version, considered their entry-level eye cream. Although the price is a bit on the higher side, the experience it delivers goes far beyond a “basic starter” product.
Here are my personal thoughts after using it: the texture and feel are amazing. The soft, fluffy cream has a subtle fragrance and a rich yet smooth texture that spreads beautifully. It’s nourishing with a hint of oiliness, but it absorbs extremely well without any worry about causing milia. It penetrates deeply without feeling heavy or sticky! When you gently press it around the eye area with your fingers, there’s no tugging at all.
After application, the eye area looks plump and luminous, as if fully hydrated, and the fine lines appear blurred. The moisturizing effect is long-lasting — unlike some eye creams that feel good at first but leave your eyes dry a few hours later. It also works great for reducing puffiness. I’m someone who loves drinking water at night, and I often wake up with puffy eyes, but this cream has noticeably improved that issue.
Best season & crowd: This is perfect for spring and summer. If you have more complex eye-area concerns or are using it in winter, layering it with an eye serum will make it even more effective.

Skincare Formula|This Routine Has Saved Me a Lot of Money
Want to stand out and look stunning in a crowd? Stop obsessing over every little flaw on your face. Instead, focus on big-picture improvements that truly elevate your appearance.
Here’s my go-to first-glance beauty skincare formula — subtle but powerful tricks that work:
Skin First Good skin instantly makes you look effortlessly beautiful. Let’s be real — naturally perfect skin is rare. Most people maintain it through consistent care.
My routine starts with generously applying facial oil, pressing it evenly all over the face. Then I use my hands to massage in upward and outward motions for 3–5 minutes. If you have a gua sha tool, even better — it helps nourish the skin and improves circulation. Before a photoshoot, I always do this to reduce puffiness. It instantly slims down the face and gives a radiant look on camera.

Proper Skincare for Oily Skin Can Prevent Breakouts❗️
The most common concerns for oily skin include acne, clogged pores, enlarged pores, and blackheads — all mainly caused by excessive sebum production. To care for oily skin correctly, focus on: cleansing, sun protection, oil control, and antioxidants.
Oily Skin Skincare Routine Morning: Amino acid cleanser → toner → serum → sunscreen Evening: Makeup remover/amino acid cleanser → toner → (clay mask/hydrating mask) → serum → eye cream → moisturizer Note: Use a clay mask 2–3 times a month; hydrating masks 2–3 times per week.
Cleansing: Essential for oily skin — water alone can’t remove excess sebum. Use a gentle, mildly acidic amino acid cleanser to effectively clean oil and dirt without over-stripping.
Oil Control: Regulate sebum production by using ingredients like salicylic acid, which helps reduce oil at the source. AHAs and retinoids also support oil control and skin renewal. For physical oil control during the day, use setting powders or pressed powders.
Antioxidants: Antioxidants can help regulate oil while protecting the skin from environmental stress.
Soothing (for acne-prone and sensitive oily skin): Oily skin issues are often accompanied by inflammation and recurrence. It’s crucial to calm and stabilize the skin.
Sun Protection: UV rays can stimulate sebum production and worsen skin problems.
Lastly, maintain healthy habits: get enough sleep, avoid staying up late, and limit high-fat, high-sugar foods.

Long-Term Love | My Everyday Beauty Must-Haves
As I get older, I’ve become more selective with what I buy. I want fewer, better things — the kind I can use for a long time and keep repurchasing. These are my tried-and-true beauty favorites I reach for daily:
▪️ Chanel Camellia Moisturizing Foaming Cleanser ▪️ CLARINS Double Serum ▪️ Fresh Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask ▪️ Chanel Brightening Oil ▪️ CLARINS Lip Comfort Oil ▪️ Krramel Boar Bristle Hairbrush
To me, long-termism isn’t just about how long you’ve used something — it’s about the quiet joy and satisfaction you feel every time you return to it, knowing you’ll keep coming back.

People who truly understand skincare have let go of a lot of products.
My skincare philosophy: keep it minimal. Especially in the summer — the simpler, the better. I wear light makeup and focus on cleansing + basic barrier maintenance + occasional targeted treatments.
I’m also a bit lazy. I really can’t commit to a 20-minute routine with masks and endless steps every day. All I want is for my skin to stay healthy and fresh — that’s enough for me.
Here’s my current routine, even when I wear makeup:
Daily
Morning: Rinse with water, pat dry with a baby towel, apply moisturizer.
Evening: Cleanser, baby towel to dry, moisturizer, lip balm.
I use very few products, but they meet all my basic skincare needs — and that’s more than enough

Girls who love staying up late, you have to try this...
Lazy girl’s minimalist skincare routine
I’ve been traveling recently, and I only brought these two: SK-II Cleanser + La Mer Treatment Lotion
✔️ The SK-II cleanser is gentle yet effective—perfect for all skin types in summer! ✔️ The La Mer Treatment Lotion is a lifesaver: Whether you’re up all night and still want to look fresh in the morning, or you’re traveling and dealing with jet lag, unfamiliar climates, or redness and irritation— this product soothes everything.
Honestly, when I use it, I can skip toner, lotion, and even cream. It’s that good.

Salicylic Acid + La Roche-Posay B5
How to use acids without damaging your skin? After two months of consistent use, I’ve summed up my experience to share with you.
If you have oily skin, blackheads, clogged pores, or acne, acid exfoliation (aka “acid toning”) could be for you. This classic combo—Stridex Salicylic Acid Pads (U.S. brand) + La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5—is a power duo for beginners.
How to use it:
Prep: Cleanse your face, then use a warm towel to open your pores.
Week 1: Build skin tolerance – Use once every 3 days.
Start with the textured side of the salicylic acid pad.
Begin with your T-zone, avoiding the cheeks at first.
Week 2 onward: Use the smooth side to apply on acne-prone or blackhead areas.
Leave it on for 3–5 minutes, then remove.
Post-acid care: Let the skin dry naturally, then apply a thick layer of La Roche-Posay B5 cream as a mask for 15 minutes. Use a clean towel or face wipe to gently remove any excess. Then continue with your normal skincare routine.
Key tip: Follow up with hydrating and repairing masks for several days after acid use. If you have acne, closed comedones, or blackheads—this routine is totally worth trying. Stick with it and your skin will improve dramatically!

Years of struggling with severe dark circles—I was honestly shocked❕
So many friends have asked me why my dark circles are so heavy... Every time there's a holiday, I can't help but stay up late, often not sleeping until 2 or 3 a.m. It's definitely time to rescue my under eyes.
I decided to give the overnight oxygen eye patches a try, just to see if they’d work. They contain plant-based active oxygen extracts that help improve oxygen absorption around the eyes and boost circulation, which can reduce fine lines and dark circles.
I wore them overnight while sleeping—they're designed to be worn for up to 8 hours. The gel essence feels super hydrating and comfortable. When I woke up and removed them, my dark circles looked noticeably lighter!
Even the fine lines around my eyes were less visible when I smiled. Honestly, so worth it!!

How to Antioxidize Your Skin
Antioxidation is key to slowing down skin aging. Environmental pollution, UV rays, and lack of sleep all generate free radicals that accelerate skin oxidation, leading to dullness, fine lines, and sagging. In your skincare routine, choose products rich in antioxidants like Vitamin C, Vitamin E, polyphenols, astaxanthin, and Coenzyme Q10. Using antioxidant serums in the morning helps protect your skin from external stressors, while applying them at night supports skin repair. Don’t forget daily sun protection, regular sleep, hydration, and consuming antioxidant-rich foods like blueberries, tomatoes, and green tea. Consistent care—inside and out—is the secret to healthy, glowing skin.

How to Effectively Remove Blackheads
The key to removing blackheads is gentle dissolution + deep cleansing + pore tightening. Start by applying a warm towel or using steam to open up pores. Then, use skincare products containing salicylic acid or AHA to help dissolve the oil plugs within the pores. Use cleansing clay masks or gentle exfoliators 1–2 times per week, but avoid frequent use of peel-off nose strips — they can enlarge pores over time. After cleansing, apply a pore-tightening toner (like one with witch hazel) to help shrink pores. In daily skincare, balance oil production, keep the skin hydrated, and always wear sunscreen to prevent blackheads from forming. Most importantly, be consistent and avoid squeezing blackheads with your fingers — it can lead to scarring and inflammation.

Men’s Skincare Routine Who says guys can't take care of their skin? Here's my lazy man's skincare formula—just 5 minutes a day to say goodbye to oily skin, acne, and dullness! Get ready to level up your looks—girls will be calling you clean and fresh in no time!
Step 1: Cleanse & Control Oil
Recommended product: Amino acid facial cleanser (gentle and non-irritating) How to use: Use twice a day—morning and night. Wet your face with warm water, gently massage for 30 seconds, then rinse thoroughly. Pro tip: Don’t use bar soap! It damages your skin barrier and makes your skin even oilier.
Step 2: Hydrate & Moisturize
Recommended products: Lightweight toner + moisturizing lotion How to use: After cleansing, pat on toner and then apply lotion to lock in moisture. Pro tip:
Oily skin: go for oil-free formulas.
Dry skin: choose richer, more nourishing types.
Combination skin: treat different areas separately!
Step 3: Sun Protection & Anti-Aging
Recommended product: Lightweight sunscreen (SPF 30+) How to use: Apply 15 minutes before going out. Don’t forget to reapply! Pro tip: Sunscreen is the first step to anti-aging—yes, guys need it too!
Bonus: Targeted Treatments
Acne-prone skin: Use salicylic acid pads 1–2 times a week + spot treatment serum. Blackheads: Apply a deep-cleansing clay mask regularly, and don’t forget to tighten pores after. Dull skin: Use a niacinamide serum at night—it’s great for brightening!
Lazy Skincare Schedule
Morning: Cleanser → Toner → Lotion → Sunscreen Evening: Cleanser → Toner → Serum → Lotion
Skincare Don'ts
Don’t scrub your face with a towel—use disposable face towels instead!
Don’t pop pimples with your fingers—it can cause scarring!
Don’t skip sunscreen—UV rays are the #1 cause of aging skin!
Stick to this for one month, and you'll notice: ✅ Less oil ✅ Fewer breakouts ✅ Better-looking skin

Lancôme Clarifique Dual Essence and Fresh Black Tea Essence Water
I’m almost done with both bottles, so let me share my experience. I have very oily skin and a relatively thick stratum corneum.
First, I bought the Clarifique Dual Essence earlier. I’ve used it for a long time, and it works great when paired with a moisturizer. The results are amazing—after using it for a while, my skin looks brighter, and my pores appear smaller. It’s really good. I wet a cotton pad with the essence and gently apply it to my face; this helps reduce the irritation from the alcohol. After getting used to it for some time, you can apply it directly to your face. However, for sisters with a thin stratum corneum, I recommend testing it first before choosing, just in case your skin can’t handle it.
When I was almost out of the Clarifique Dual Essence, I switched to the Black Tea Essence Water because the former felt a bit too irritating. Using it long - term didn’t seem ideal, so I wanted a change. After doing some research, I started using Fresh’s Black Tea Essence Water together with Olay’s White Radiance Essence. The Black Tea Essence Water has a black tea scent, which I personally find quite acceptable. It’s not too irritating on the face. At first, it feels a bit sticky, but once it’s absorbed after a while, the face becomes smooth. It doesn’t feel too greasy even in summer.
As for the results, they’re okay. Using it with the White Radiance Essence seems to brighten the skin. But remember to apply sunscreen in the morning!

Oily & Acne — Prone Skin | Streamlined Luxury Skincare Routine, Spend Money Wisely
Oily and acne — prone skin gang, listen up! I’ve curated a luxury skincare combo that’s a perfect match for our skin type. It precisely nails oil control and repair, making sure the pricey benefits don’t go to waste~
Morning Routine: Streamlined Oil Control + Light Protection
· Cleansing: Choose a gentle amino — acid cleanser. Don’t over — cleanse, as it can irritate the skin and cause more oil production.
· Toner: SK — II Facial Treatment Essence. PITERA regulates oil — water balance and renews skin (keratin). Pat more on the T — zone; it’ll cut oil production by half.
· Serum: SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective. The plant — based formula reduces redness and fades acne marks. Gently pat for stability. For tolerant skin wanting whitening, you can add tranexamic acid products later (keep it simple in the morning).
· Sunscreen: ELIXIR Superieur Perfect UV Protector. It offers good sun protection without clogging pores. It can also act as a light base makeup. It won’t get patchy when your skin gets oily later, achieving both sun protection and brightening in one go.
Evening Routine: Repair & Antioxidant + Gentle Cleansing
· Makeup Removal/Cleansing: If you wore sunscreen or light makeup, use a cleansing oil/balm. Follow with an amino — acid cleanser. Don’t double — cleanse, as it can damage the skin barrier.
· Toner: The SK — II essence keeps working to renew keratin and regulate oil — water balance. If your skin is dull from staying up late, soak a cotton pad and leave it on for 30 seconds; your pores will feel breathable.
· Serum + Cream: SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective reduces redness and calms inflammation. Take a tiny bit of Lancôme Absolue Premium ßx Cream and apply it to the dry areas of your cheeks. The rose extract + Pro — Xylane repairs and fights early aging. Even oily and acne — prone skin can have a bright and healthy look (don’t apply on the T — zone; it will clog pores!).
Combo Tips
Don’t go overboard with layering. In the day, “toner + serum + sunscreen” is enough for oil control and repair. At night, if you add cream, just spot — apply. SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective + SK — II essence is a bomb for stability. Lancôme Absolue is a repair bonus; spot — applying is the smart way~
