Some gems from this week’s Hopplandslaget podcast:

Basically two hours of Clas, Johann, Daniel and Halvor sitting around a table and talking about stuff. Unfortunately y’all don’t speak Norwegian, otherwise I would recommend that you listen to the whole “hoppcast”, but here are at least some of my favorite parts from this week’s episode. (I haven’t listened to all the previous episodes yet, but I’m sure there are lots of gems there too.)

Lol Stjernen and the other Norwegian commentator pronouncing “Kos” like the Norwegian word for “cozy”/”cuddle”. It makes Kos sound very adorable🥰🙈

The Norwegian commentators are cracking me up though. Pronouncing Kos like /ku:s/, which means “cuddle/hug” in Norwegian, so they were literally shouting “CUDDLE!!!”

Edit: Is this a good time to mention that the Norwegian commentators also pronounce Kot like /Ko:t/? Idk if it’s correct or not, but it literally means “horny” in Norwegian…

andrzej: i don’t want to talk about jumps today, i just want to thank everyone, especially i want to thank maciek maciusiak (poland’s team B’s coach) for …. *holding back tears* you know, you know for what. dawid: i will dump talking about the jumps on peter because he is late. kamil: first of all, i need to thank andrzej he pulled us by the ears towards these medals. it was his debut and he showed great courage and experience. piotr: *screams sth* what? what is going on? ooh wound myself up so much today. i was so wound up for that jump, it was cool, cool, cool, very cool. my skis drilled a bit but i was like - aah whatever. i’m flying further. (*skis drilled - i have no idea what he meant by that ;)) coach doležal: *this team needs parental supervision*

the fact that stękała got himself back to the top after having such an awful seasons. being out of the national teams. he worked so hard to get back there; training and working as a waiter at the same time so he could afford jumping. his story is just amazing and i’m so proud 💗 he’s such a good and funny guy too, you just love to see it
