In the sims I'm trying to make bedding more appropriate for my characters, and also just more interesting in general tbh.

Currently I'm working on bedding for the Quads, or rather, the two sets of twins: Fox & Dean and Raven & Jade. I thought it would be easy, they've each always been specifically season, element, and color coded;

Fox: Lightning/Electricity/Autumn, Yellow and dark blue

Dean: Fire/Summer, Black and Red

Raven: Ice/Snow/Winter, Light Blue and White

Jade: Earth/Trees/Spring, Green and Brown

I'm surprised with how difficult it's been to find fabric patterns that fit Raven and Jades themes!. Especially Jades has been difficult, everything is too floral and not... Earthy enough. Probably doesn't help that Jades theme is so broad and vague. Raven is more than just snowflakes and snowmen, and he's certainly not Christmas themed at all, so it's been rough finding things on brand. I've had some luck looking up fractals and geometric wallpaper though, but the poor boy is going to get mostly solids.

Sexualities have been coming up a lot lately on my dash and it's been making me think about my various OCs, specifically the ones who identify as straight because of preferences but are actually bisexual.

Blackwood is the first to come to mind, just simply because he and Oliver have been on my mind for a while. Blackwood is pretty open about being bisexual, or at least he was until his current girlfriend. She's the jealous type and he found early on in their relationship that it really was for the best that he not divulge that he had ever fooled around with men, and has spent the last three years identifying as a straight man. He does admit to Oliver, several months into their survival exercise while realizing their shelter was ill built to defend against the cold, that he wasn't uncomfortable "cuddling" for warmth and that he had had a steady boyfriend in college. Though, he only came forth with the information because Ollie was teasing him about having to be in such close contact with a gay man (Oliver himself is openly homosexual and is used to men being extremely uncomfortable being touched by him for any reason)

Severin is next on my mind, and though he has almost equal attraction to fem and masc individuals, his repulsion in his gay brothers behavior resulted in fairly intense homophobia and a denial of his own sexuality. His brother, Toph, is very flamboyant, effeminate and, in their teen years, was pretty open about his sexual exploits, reveling in the drama that was being labeled as a slut. This sort of behavior disgusted Severin, mostly due to teasing, mocking and bullying he received from his teammates(rugby) for having a "raging f*gg*t" for a brother. The intense bullying he received as a result of his brothers actions made him resent not only his brother but his entire family, and in the end he turned against all of them and went no contact. His story takes place 10 years later and pretty much revolves around rehabilitation and eventually trying to make amends with his family.

Next up would be Lao who is much less dramatic. He has a very strong preference towards women, and only a passing interest in men so he never considered he might actually be bisexual, even though he did experiment in college. Until he was almost 50 and had a run-in with Kim, a wanna be criminal brought to Laos hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Kim had successfully won him over after months of pestering and borderline stalking. The relationship didn't last as Kim was, unsurprisingly, very toxic and a danger. But it did open Laos eyes to the fact that he had enjoyed being in a relationship with Kim, or rather had enjoyed the company of a man romantically. As traumatizing as being with Kim could be, it did allow Lao to realize his lifelong interest in men was more than just aesthetic, and he's adjusted his Cinder preferences accordingly.

Finally I think is Jack. Jack married young and the truama of loosing his wife broke him. He's been much too aggressive and obsessed with revenge to acknowledge any attraction to anyone, much less consider to what gender he is attracted. That said, it doesn't mean he doesn't feel it at all. The fact that he does feel attraction and emotional interest in the man he blames for his wife's death (Rowan, who is actually completely innocent btw) despite everything drives him further into insanity. He is much too busy hunting down the man and trying to kill him at every opportunity to recognize the homoeroticism in their banter and fighting. Rowan is fully confident in his ability to thwart Jack, and as with all their "enemies" and sparing partners, is incredibly flirty. Moreso with Jack perhaps as they suspect Jacks interest. Mostly, Rowan and their siblings just want Jack to get into therapy without being arrested.
