The Essence of Life: New Beginning.
Mankind looks at the stars and sees infinite possibilities. Few look at the same stars, and see war and chaos. Those few know the truth. Humans are not the only race in the universe. Races that inhabit planets and have for billions of years. These races are different in every way but one. They all crave power, and they will stop at nothing till they are the one and only species in the universe. War between countries is one thing, but war between planets is another. Advanced species fighting to the death, and conquering planet after planet. Earth has been invaded many times, but never conquered. Many would wonder how that is possible. It is because of a powerful and intelligent team. A team that has been fighting since the earth was created. A team that fights in the shadows to protect the human race from aliens and keep the secret of their existence. Welcome to the world of S.U.I.T.
The engine of the hover ship roared as it started descending down the tunnel. The hatch to earth's surface starts to close. The light of the sun shines one last time on the metal of the never ending passageway to the culmination of earth's secrets. As the hover ship lands the vortex of gravity underneath the ship disperses. One of the ships doors starts to rise. A man appears from the darkness of the unlit ship. As he starts to stand his tall and athletic body becomes apparent. A fedora covers his head, but a few jet black hairs frame his face. A face which showed both maturity and youthfulness. He casts a powerful shadow across the walls. His lips part as he commands the hover ship to open all doors. Soon his shadow is joined by five other distinct figures. Each one carrying themselves in a very unique way. Each one a cog in a machine. One of the most unique machines known to man.

Chapter Four: March 11th, 2024 2:23 PM
Eli’s eyes were pointed at Neal’s. He then realized, he couldn’t say what he was thinking. It would jeopardize everything he cared about. Eli knew what the markings meant; he was just too scared to admit it. It was a part of the history between him and Neal, and he wasn’t ready to face the repercussions of their past.
Neal hesitantly said, “I think I’m going to take inventory.” He started toward the cold stone chamber that is the inventory.
“That was done only three hours ago. It isn’t time for another check. None of the cages or boxes have been opened yet,” said Grace.
“Either way, I think it deserves one more check.”
“Whatever. What ever keeps you busy.”
Neal started to walk to the back of the chamber. He walked at a slow pace, to avoid attention. As soon as he was out of sight, he started walking quickly. It was as if he is trying to escape his memories. The inventory was a dark room with big stone walls, almost like a cave. At the end of the tunnel, there was a huge wall of safety boxes filled with peculiar ancient tools, different extraterrestrial mementos, unearthly technology, and things the team had collected. To get to the boxes he had to walk past caged creatures from alien worlds— creatures that weren’t worth killing, but they could hurt the Earth. Each one very different from the other. Neal first walked past a Crexton woman, with a white skin and clear holes throughout her body. A naked creature from Treline, oozing purple slime. Finally when he got to the end he saw a  broken robot that is made of clear glassite. Neal walked to a section labeled with various dates from the year 1856. He opened the first box. Inside, there was a book about a man’s journey. The next box contained a piece of paper, ripped out of a journal, with a drawing of a medallion, the same symbol that was on the victim’s hand. He looked at it carefully, and it brought back a memory.
……………….
It was three weeks after Eli and Neal had met. Neal had finished the book ten days ago, but he was too afraid to go meet this man again. Something about Eli made him feel anxious. He couldn’t quite put his finger on it. He was ten to fifteen years older than Neal, who was twenty years old. He had also heard Eli was unmarried, and that he has never been with anyone. This left Neal curious. He sat on the porch and watched the clouds move in a dance of light. He worked up enough courage to get up and walk to town. It was a bit of a walk. Neal thought of what he would say to Eli. He knew whatever he had rehearsed didn’t matter; there was no way of knowing what Eli was going to say.
After reaching town, Neal stopped a woman to ask Eli Stone’s address. She directed him, “If you walk straight ahead, for about a mile, you will see a very big mansion. You will not miss it.” Neal started walking straight ahead. A gust of wind brushed against his face, while the sun shone down on his body. It was the perfect mix of hot and cold. Each step brought him closer to Eli. As he approached the front gate, he read, Stone Residence. He was quite sure that he was at the right place. Neal took a moment to observe the people working in the yard. One man was cutting the grass, and another was trimming the bushes. He saw a woman who looked nicer than the others. Her clothes were cleaner, and she was very beautiful. He looked at what she was doing. She was setting out the tea, two cups, maybe she was Eli’s girlfriend. Maybe he got it wrong. Whatever “it” was.
Neal greeted the woman, “Hello, my name is Neal Chatwal. Mr. Stone is not exactly expecting me, but he told me that I could come by any time.”
“MR. STONE! SOMEONE’S HERE TO SEE YOU,” yelled the woman. Neal was surprised by her shout. Maybe she was just a worker.
Eli came out from behind a big bush he was trimming. He smiled when he saw Neal. “Mr. Chatwal. It’s great to see you. Ariel let him in.” The gate opened slowly. Neal slipped through the gate and walked up to Eli. He handed the book to him. “I’m so glad to see you. I was starting to believe you were not going to come at all.” Eli had a great big smile on his face. He was obviously happy to see Neal. “Why don’t sit down and drink some tea, and you can tell me the ending of the book?”
“Are you sure you want to know?” asked Neal. They started walking towards the house.
“I really want to know if the man finds happiness. Tell me what happens.” Eli replied excitedly.
They reached the porch where the tea was set down. Eli motioned to Neal to take one cup, and Eli took the other. They sat in chairs opposite of eachother. “He does. He finds happiness. He falls in love with a woman and marries her just after they meet. He knew he loved her right away, as soon as their eyes had met.” Neal paused.  “But she falls sick soon after they get married. She dies before they could celebrate a year of their marriage. He loses faith in love and life and spends the rest of his years alone, in the darkest crevices of his mind.”
“Haunting,” said Eli hiding his emotions.
“I agree.”
“Why don’t we head to the study. It’s right inside.”
They walked into the house. They passed through a foyer with amazing white columns and sky-blue walls., and down a hallway with paintings he had only read about in books. They took a sharp right and entered the study. The room was filled with antiques and mementos. Brown chairs were faced towards a fireplace. Eli sat down in the one near the windows. While Neal admired the room, and all the things that filled it.
Suddenly, a thing caught Neal’s eye: a medallion. It looked like it was made of pure gold. It’s shape was round, but it had a symbol on it. Two triangles combined, creating eight different points.  Leaving the middle of the symbol its own very special point, but it was a while before he knew what that meant.
“How did you earn such a medal?” Asked Neal.
Eli stood up from the chair and walked up to Neal. “Why, it’s not quite a medal, more of a keepsake. I got this on the day my life changed. I lost someone who fought hard to keep this medal. So I could protect it.”
“You most definitely deserve it. It is just so beautiful. Breathtaking.”
Eli stared at Neal and said, “You cannot not compare a beauty like yours to a medallion, for I see true beauty when I look at you.” Eli looked into Neal’s eyes, and his face showed fear and hope. Eli had gotten lost in his words that he didn’t really understand the significance of what he just said. “Why don’t we finish our tea on the wing at the back by the lake?” They headed outside, and as Neal gazed into Eli’s piercing blue eyes he finally understood what he was feeling this whole time.

Chapter Three:
7:34 PM
Eli sat in his library, staring at books he has already read and the stories in them that he has already encountered. Life seems dull for him. He has already seen the world, experienced all there was to experience. Eli headed out for his friend’s house, Mr. Benjamin Green His house was the social spot for all the men in town. Tonight there was a gathering of the important men in the town, it was a way to blow off steam. As he opened the door, he was welcomed by a beautiful foyer and a crowd of what must have been a hundred men. The room was warm from the heat the bodies made. Eli stood there and took in the beauty before him. He then decided to go over to Mr. Green, to thank him for inviting him.
“It’s my pleasure to have such a presentable man like yourself at my gathering,” said Mr. Green. “Go out and have some fun. I mean as much fun as you can have without a woman.” Mr. Green laughed along with a group of his friends. Eli nodded his head in agreement.
While socializing, he noticed a man who was sitting alone, reading a book. The man was very skinny and boyish. Seized by his beauty, Eli left his friends walked towards the man and sat next to him.
“Well, aren’t you an odd man. A room filled with people, and you would rather read.” Eli initiated the conversation.
“I prefer to learn,” came the swift reply.
“That is very smart of you. I love to read too. It is one of the greatest pleasures in life.” Eli paused to take another look at the man’s face. “What are you reading?”
“A book.”
“I got that. What kind of book?” Eli tilted his head down to try and see the cover.
“It’s about a man who could never die and his search for happiness. He had a full life, yet he was never quite satisfied.”
Eli felt choked. The book was very much like his own life. Eli is a very old soul, with the face of a much younger man. Hundreds of years ago, Eli was born to a human mother and a father from a different world. Death did not scare him, because for him, death wasn’t anywhere in the future. He just never admitted to himself that he wasn’t happy. “Did he ever find happiness?” he finally asked.
“I haven’t finished it yet. You should give it a read.”
“You will have to let me borrow it.”
“I might, but how will I give it to you if I’m not done?”
“You can bring it to my house… when you’re done, of course.”
“How will I know where you live?”
“I guess you are going to have to socialize. People know me. I’m quite popular in this town. Maybe you would know that if you picked up your head from that book.” Eli stood up and started to walk away.
“And your name?”
“Eli Stone.”
“Nice to meet you.”
“May I know yours?”
“Neal Chatwal.”
“Well I hope I hear from you again, Neal.”
Eli walked towards the other men. He shook the hands of the other men, and said his goodbyes. Neal stared at him as he left. The air was no longer warm to Neal, Eli had given him the chills. Why was he so confused? He didn’t know how to feel about him.

Chapter Two: March 11th, 2024 2:23 PM
Light bounced off the silver metal of an atmospheric manipulator. A white lab, with stone walls, gave the place a pristine look. For an outsider looking in it might seem a bit hectic, but it was built for the most efficient workers. At the top of the building was a clear glass balcony with glass stairs leading to the leader’s office. At the bottom of the stairs were the work stations. Every station is in the right place for the team to work. The lab was equipped with technology to defend the planet. It was located in a secret base, with guards at every level of entry. It was the workplace of a special task force funded by the government: a very significant part of Area 51. They were hidden from the world, because if they weren’t, the world would be a very different place. They make sure that the humanity is protected from harm. When strange, alien creatures are found on Earth, this team is the first one on the scene. They are investigators of another world.
Neal, a gifted inventor, whose creations are the tools that keep the team fighting. Alice, a brilliant scientist, making the breakthroughs the team needs. Ella, a tech wizard, her complete understanding of how technology works helps when a new piece of alien tech appears. Reynolds, an accomplished doctor, and a man with the ability to research and care for the different aliens and humans the team comes in contact with. Grace, a fierce agent, who uses her skills for good, Finally, Eli, an excellent leader out of his time, a man whose knowledge and skills help the team uncover mysteries. Alone they are masters in their skills, but combined they become the enemies of earth’s greatest attackers.
The lab was silent, with only occasional low murmurs from the machines. Each one making a unique sound. Each team member had their own work station. Doctor Reynolds was busy at his. Reynolds work station was at the bottom of a small staircase. In the middle was a operation table, and three walls with different tools surrounded him, On his table was a deceased male earthling, brought in by Eli and Grace. Everyone was waiting for him to finish, so they could start working. Each member practically lived in this base. Work was all they had, and since everything was so secret, no one could be trusted to know the biggest part of their lives.
“Is the body analysis done?” asked Alice.
“You know I need my time. Performing an autopsy isn’t exactly my forte,” said Reynolds.
Grace overheard this exchange and decided to chime in with a little rude remark, “and what exactly is your forte?”
“I work with living things.”
“Well it's your job. You should know how to do it.”
Reynolds brushed this judgement off. The doctor continued to work with all eyes were on him. He grabbed his scalpel and cut down the arm. There was no blood, just a black liquid. Reynolds pulled back the sheet covering the chest of the earthling. He measured the size of the hole in the chest. He rushed as much as he could without making a mistake.
“Ok, done.” declared Reynolds.
“Took long enough,” Grace complained.
“Give us the diagnosis, doc,” Alice said with a smirk.
Reynolds started to explain the story behind the death: “The body seems to have been injected with a poison that affects a human body in a matter of hours. It seems to have turned all his veins black. The needle was inserted straight into the heart. It must have been strong. Now moving to the face.” He paused and stared at the blank canvas that should be filled with emotion. “It would appear that the face does not have extra layers of skin, covering up the faces features. The face has just somehow disappeared,” “The weird thing is that it doesn’t seem like the face has extra layers of skin. The face has just disappeared.” Reynold’s moved down the body to the his hands. “The symbol on his right hand makes me believe that maybe they mark their prey... It must have something to do with some kind of alien race. There were traces of extraterrestrial life forms at the scene and it definitely wasn’t the work of any human.” The doctor concluded.
“Maybe they mark them to track the victims. I can run the symbol through the database to see if anything pops up,” exclaimed Alice.
Eli walked to the edge of the top of the glass stairs. He was a tall man with jet black hair. His eyes told the story of his battles. Once he saw the marking on the hand he stared at Neal with fear and compassion. He had seen it before.
