"We just don't see it being applied to us often."
This is the problem, this is the exact point of the post.
Patriarchy isn't nuanced, at least not in the way you assert it is. It gives power to ALL men. In just about any situation, whatever a man is going through, if he were a woman, she would be going through it worse. Adding trans to the equation DOES NOT change it.
"There is no structural benefit given to trans men for being men if we are not actually seen as men by society at large."
I'll assume we can both agree that in any case where a transfem is seen as a woman and a transmasc is seen as a man by society, the man has power over the woman.
What you don't see is that trans men absolutely have structural power even when they don't pass, either because you don't understand the shape it takes, or because you refuse to acknowledge it. A trans man who does not pass is given grace from society compared to the trans woman who does not pass. A trans man who doesn't pass is a freak, but at least an honorable one, trying to so something as correct as becoming a man. And he might have been manipulated into it, making it not really his fault for being such a freak. A trans woman is a pervert, a pedophile, a sex pest, and probably the person who 'corrupted' those trans men.
Both of these responses are full of bigotry and hatred. But you can see how one allows for some grace, whereas the other calls for extermination.
For any possible example you could come up with of a trans man suffering, I could bring you a trans woman with the same problems but worse, because she's a woman. Patriachy is nuanced in HOW it shows its privelege to different groups and people, not WHO it shows those priveleges to.
I don't know if this post came off as rude, but also I don't particularly care because "All men benefit from patriarchy, yes even those men" is the most basic, milquetoast stance if you don't have some sort of interest in excusing a group of their need to reflect.
we can't even get a basic "all men structurally benefit from a misogynist society" to pass on this website without a bunch of queer men shooting themselves into a panic cause they get too uncomfortable about the idea of being culpable to self reflect. "feminist" website
#heres my nicest attempt at writing this out for you#you seem like someone willing to learn#so please do better#the most marginalized man in existence would hold power over a woman version of himself

Like I mean sure often trans men are included in lesbian spaces when trans women aren't because they don't see trans men as men right. I'd absolutely say that's the more common situation. but I really think it'd be nice if people could acknowledge the other thing here which is that plenty of people are more than willing to accept any "complicated relationship to lesbianism" and tme gender and sexual identity under the sun but not trans women. like sometimes people are just transmisogynistic actually, that's not super incompatible with supporting other groups of trans people.
I mean hell even other trans people act like that and willingly go along with "unique afab solidarity" type shit, plenty of people willingly play into it because it benefits them. being shocked that sometimes people are accepting about one thing while also being transmisogynists just makes you kinda an unhelpful ally tbh and conveniently obfuscates your relationship to "victimhood" in this situation.
the whole "we're the real victims here because maybe we're not being entirely respected in the space you are almost always categorically barred from" thing is just old at this point.

people talk about how showing someone your boyvoice is really special and intimate but i think the opposite is also deserving of a lot of reverence and care and tact. when a girl who has a flat lower voice tries out her training voice around you that shit is so vulnerable and so special. that is her exploring who she could be and giving you a sneak peak of her beautiful future
