With a relieved sigh, you held up the new updated menu for Sho’s food truck to admire your work. You lost track of time working on it, but your sleepiness spoke for itself.

“Hey, Sho?” you called as you walked over to the garage where he was working on his bike. “Is this okay?”

“Looks great! Thanks, senpai,” he answered calmly, a soft grin pulling at his lips as he grabbed the menu from you and put it away. “You hungry? I promised I’d treat you for helping me. I can whip something up real quick.”

“No, it’s okay. Maybe tomorrow after class? I’m tired, so I’m just gonna head back,” you admitted wearily as you headed for the door.

“Hey, hey, wait,” Sho chased after you, grabbing your shoulder, “I’ll walk you back.”

“Alright,” you easily agreed as you opened the front door of the Vagastrom dormitory… only to find a whole thunderstorm outside. “Dammit…” you grumbled to yourself as you took your first step out the door, but before you could leave, Sho pulled you back.

“No way in hell we’re walking through that.”

“Why not?”

“Because we’ll get soaked? Plus it's pitch black. It’s too dangerous.”

“Well, what am I supposed to do then? I have class at 8 tomorrow…”

“Stay here? I can walk you to class in the morning.”

“Like, sleep over?!”

“Yeah, why?”

“Because, I'm not prepared! I don't have any clothes or toiletries, and won't the other students notice?!”

“You can just borrow my stuff. Who cares about the other students? They can think and say whatever they want. I don't give a shit.”

“But–”

“You’re staying over. No arguments,” Sho demanded before proceeding to close the door and drag you up to his room. Willingly, you followed along seeing how insistent he was and that you wouldn't be able to easily change his mind.

Stopping in front of a seemingly random door, he unlocked it and hastily let himself in. Meanwhile, you got smothered in an invisible cloud of his scent, and frankly, it did weird things to you. You were really about to sleep over in Sho’s room, huh?

You didn't notice how long you'd been standing there until Sho’s voice snapped you out of it. “You can come in y'know?”

“Oh…” you replied with a nervous laugh as you stepped inside, Sho shutting the door behind you.

“You can wear these after you shower, but I'm gonna go first,” he stated as he handed you some of his clothes, “I'm dirty from working on my bike.”

You only nodded in response, slowly shuffling towards the edge of his bed to seat yourself whilst he disappeared into the bathroom. Sitting awkwardly with your hands stuffed in your lap, you only scanned his room briefly when the intrusive thoughts struck: “Would he think it's weird if I smell his bed? Or what if I just walk into his closet real quick? No… of course he’ll think that’s weird!”

As you facepalmed at yourself, it dawned upon you that some of Sho’s clothes were already in your hand. With a giddy squeal you stuffed your face into them and inhaled so deeply that you almost felt high off his pheromones; you needed more. Since Sho was still in the bathroom, the best moment to get a face full of his sheets was NOW. You knew that the longer you waited, the higher the chances of getting caught, so without a second thought, you belly flopped onto his duvet, only getting one whiff before you heard the bathroom door open.

“Shit!” You mumbled to yourself as you quickly recollected yourself, but by the time you did, it was pretty obvious he’d already seen. To make matters even worse, when you looked over at him, you were met with a half-baked Sho, covered only waist down with a towel.

“Were you just… smelling my bed?” He asked with a smirk, his tone judgemental but simultaneously teasing.

“Uhh…” you sputtered as you tried to think of a way to change the subject, “No… B-but why are you only wearing a towel…?”

“Tch…” he clicked his tongue as he turned away and beelined to his dresser. “I was so busy grabbing clothes for you that I forgot to grab clothes for myself…”

You couldn't help but stare at how the muscles on his back moved as he rummaged through his clothes… and before you could really admire his backside, he turned around revealing instead, his chiseled abs.

“What’re you staring at…” he asked in a low voice, brows furrowed.

Your lips parted to speak, but nothing came out. Instead, you sat there blankly looking at him.

“Pft,” he scoffed, a smirk tugging at his lips, “Cat got your tongue?”

Is he… teasing me? You thought in observance of his playful aura. The butterflies in your stomach and your pounding heart were definitely NOT helping you think straight. You swore you only blinked, but when you opened your eyes, Sho's body was no more than a foot away from your face.

how affectionate they are.... i'll be sorting them into categories with notes where necessary since if i tried to write them all out individually i think my RSI would finally beat me and that is not a battle i can afford to lose. psa these are just my interpretation and there's a lot of nuance that i am not the right person to capture at length </3

literally showers their partner in affection everywhere and anywhere whenever they can from the get-go: TOWA, zenji, haru

think they're genuinely being super affectionate but actually have walls up that gradually get melted away and when they do it unlocks a whole other layer of affection: rui, ed (needs some time to get settled bc of his whole 'anomalies and humans cant coexist' mindset. assuming the one hes in a relationship with is a human. if not then it's literally just bc he'll keep saying he's an elderly man until it starts getting old the longer the relationship goes on and he eventually gives in)

Unfortunately for Sho, Halloween always came back each year.

He knew that you wanted to laugh. It was obvious from the way you bit your lower lip, leaving it red and slightly swollen as you contained the laughter, not wanting it to mess with your pulse and ruin the lines you had already drawn on his face.

"Why am I always the girl..." Your boyfriend grumbled under his breath, earning himself a harmless slap on the shoulder.

"Shush, you'll make me mess this up."

The albino looked up at you, his hands tightening a bit where they held your waist as you straddled his lap for easier access to his face. He was frowning, but it was hard to take him seriously with his face painted a greyish-blue, lips a bright red as you tried to keep your hand steady while drawing another black line from the corner of his mouth to his cheek, adding a few shorter, vertical ones to give the impression of stitches.

"You know, I should be the one who's angry. You look better in a dress than I do!" Sho's eye twitched, but you soon guided him to close them before he could glare at you, gently pressing the pencil from his eyebrow to his jaw. "Maybe that's why Leo keeps asking you to be the girl."

"Asking?" The ghoul scoffs. "That guy doesn't ask, he just blows my phone until I agree."

Every time there was some trend with costumes, Leo would drag him to dress-up as well. Sho wouldn't mind that much if it was a more normal costume, but he didn't exactly enjoy being filmed while dressed as a girl. Unfortunately, his friend was someone who didn't stop until he got what he wanted.

He suspected that it was also just to mess up with him. You were here now, after all, but Leo had still asked him to wear this costume instead of you. And it didn't make sense, the guy had posted pictures of you without your consent before just for the drama.

"It'll just be for a few hours, then I'll help you take this all off, okay?"

Sho sighed, trying to find some comfort in your words and ignoring the fact that while it would be for a short time, there would be pictures and videos that Leo would definitely keep. Instead, he focused on you.

The only good thing that came out of this was having you this close, at least you were the one helping him with the makeup. It was getting a bit hard to stay still, however, when he noticed just how focused you were on him as well, although for different reasons.

Having your gaze fixated on his lips, a pencil contouring them for a better look, was making him feel a bit warmer than he should in this outfit. He had been behaving for quite a while, so why not bother you a little?

As soon as you pulled your hand away from his face, Sho leaned forward, claiming your lips in a kiss. At first, you let yourself melt onto him, before remembering about what you've been doing for the last half hour or so and quickly pulling away.

"Sho! Ugh, now your lipstick is all smudged..."

The ghoul let out a snort, blue eyes zeroing on your now red lips. "I'm just helping you out, you're going to put some makeup on after finishing with me, right?"

"Well, now I have to reappl—" You were interrupted by another kiss. "Sho!"

"Can't help it if you look so cute pouting like that, senpai." He shrugged, a strong hand moving to the middle of your back to gently push you closer to him. "You sure you aren't doing it on purpose?"

Your cheeks heat up at the expression on his face, his raised eyebrow, the mischief in his gaze, the grin on his lips... Even all the makeup didn't stop him from being so unfairly handsome.

This time, you don't resist when he presses his mouth to yours, one of your hands moving to his shoulder and wrinkling the fabric under your fingers. His lips move slowly, like he's savoring you, before his tongue asks for entrance, which you give almost instinctively.

The hand he kept on your waist moves up, tangling in your hair as he pulls you impossibly closer, tongue brushing against yours and swallowing any sounds that attempt to escape your mouth.

It's like he's pouring all of his frustration about the situation in the kiss. By the time he pulls back, you're left panting, lips a mess of red and some black lines on the corner of your lips, the same ones on his face now completely smudged.

Sho looks quite smug, his thumb tracing your lower lip as if trying to clean you up, but only smears the lipstick even more. He prefers a more natural look compared to heavy makeup, but seeing you like that wasn't a bad sight at all.

The hand on your back slides lower, fingers slowly sneaking under the hem of your shirt. He knows he has you now, there are no more complaints, no attempts to get back to what you were doing before, you're waiting for him to continue...

Only for the sound of a notification to startle both of you. At first, Sho thinks about ignoring it, but then it pings again, and again, and again... Leaving him no doubt of who was trying to rush him.

"Uh, we should finish this before Leo gets mad." You clear your throat, reaching for your bag to look for the items you'd need to fix his look while your boyfriend replies to his friend's messages, telling him to chill before putting his phone away with a click of his tongue.

At least he finds some amusement in the way your hand is less steady than before, how your eyes keep dropping to his lips, and on the mess he had left on your face.

Just a few hours, that's all he had to wait.

9. Is there a character that follows you? Like, a character that always appears when you're trying your luck with another character?

Yes it's always Yuri! Not sure why but I always seem to get Yuri cards. Lucas haunts me too.

15. Which episode was your favorite so far? Why?

I'm not all up to date with the episodes yet (I'm on episode 18) so as of now it's episode 17. I liked how the episode featured an interhouse squad as opposed to only featuring a single house since I like to see all of the ghouls interact with one another! I love Rui and Haru's dynamic but also Ed and Jin was a very interesting combo imo?? Jin is very cold so to see him pair up/spend time with someone good at reading people (Ed) was interesting.

I won't lie to you, I unironically watch trashy reality tv shows (I genuinely get invested in the drama and outcomes sorry!) so it was kinda fun seeing the MC partake in a dating show with the ghouls. The concept of MC giving the bottle to her one true love did make me feel a bit conflicted but it was interesting to me.

The ghost anomaly was so valid and I don't even blame her for crashing out (I do not fw cheaters).

I feel like this'll change though when I catch up because I've already seen/heard of the Sho x MC moments in episode 19 and yeah Sho is one of my favs

❥ I was actually really close to pairing you up with Towa instead but as soon as I read over what you look for in a relationship and your ideal dates, I figured that Towa wasn’t your most compatible match. When it comes to relationships, you like introverts (which nicely balances out your extrovertedness) and someone who’s a bit intelligent, which I think Subaru perfectly reflects. You don’t necessarily seek out emotional intelligence in a partner per se but you like to grow and learn with them. It seems to me that you’d like someone who’s very open with communication, values boundaries, and someone who is willing to compromise when necessary and I think that Subaru fits this description very well. Subaru is very polite and always cautious as he doesn’t want to break anyone's boundaries, which leads me to believe that he’d be very open with communication in a relationship with you. You also look for someone who would support you in all of your endeavors and someone who’s a bit more calm than you are and I think Subaru meets this criteria. 

❥ Personality wise, you’re the more outgoing one so you might take the initiative and get the ball rolling but after that, I think your cheerful and caring nature would mix well with Subaru’s polite and gentle one. Subaru often speaks down on himself and doubts his own capabilities, often blaming the successes of his missions or other endeavors on his peers namely Haku, so I think he’d need someone who’s caring and supportive to bring him up. He believes that humans are more cruel and vile than anomalies, which has led to people calling him “pro-anomaly.” Subaru may not outright tell the Darkwick institution about these feelings but given how insistent he was about releasing Lyca, I’m inclined to believe that he’s very passionate about this topic. He definitely questions the system and has his own opinions on those sorts of matters, therefore best fits this standard of yours! 

❥ A lot of your hobbies consist of indoor activities, such as reading and card games, and this works out perfectly because I think you and Subaru would spend a lot of quality time indoors. Subaru isn’t super talkative so once he gets comfortable with you, he’d enjoy just soaking in your presence. You guys could be doing completely different tasks while in the same room and he’ll enjoy it. He’ll brew up some tea and bring some snacks while you read. 

❥ I think Subaru would enjoy the theories that you brew up, especially if they relate to anomalies although he’d find any theory that you conjure up intriguing. Subaru isn’t overly touchy but I do think he’d give you the physical touch that you look for. He’d really like holding your hand and given that he’s the king of consent among the ghouls, he’ll always ask for permission to touch you first. I also think this works out because while physical touch is one of your main love languages, you don’t enjoy being touched when you’re upset so it would be important to have a partner who asks before. 

❥ I think Subaru would be into more relaxed sorts of dates as opposed to more exciting ones, like theme parks. He’d enjoy going to cafes with you (he is more accustomed to tea so he’ll likely get that over coffee!) and just enjoying your presence. He’s the type who prefers dates where you can get to know each other, like cafe dates, as opposed to dates where you just sit back like movie dates. Given the fact that Subaru was sorted into Hotarubi, he does appreciate the arts and even possess exceptional artistic talent (drawing). ❥ Not going to lie, this one was harder to come up with just because I really wanted to give you Towa as your platonic matchup. Although I don’t think Towa would be the most compatible with you romantically, I could still see you guys being pretty compatible in general. You guys share a mutual love for stars and flowers plus your upbeat and cheerful personality would mesh well with how carefree Towa is. I didn’t want to give you the same character two times though, so I thought about who else would be a good candidate for your platonic matchup. Given how close Lyca is to Subaru, I felt that he would also be close to you! 

❥ Since Lyca spent a lot of his time locked up and devoid of human interaction, I think he would get along the best with someone who’s a bit outgoing. Someone who is willing to put themselves out there and someone patient is an ideal friend for Lyca, which I think you fit! You’re caring and for someone who can be reckless or impulsive like Lyca this is perfect. He might find it annoying depending on how much you look after him, but he does need someone to keep him out of trouble.
