“People think I’ve been to the moon, they think I’ve met an alien. [because I’m friends with her.] [….] Most songwriters, most artists are insecure, dorky nerds who feel misunderstood by the universe. They all started out writing little songs about their hearts in their bedrooms, every single one of them. I think Taylor is one of the best lyricists, she manages to get a listener inside a world and feel like they have a confidante and a dear friend who gets them. And how does she do that? By writing great f***ing songs. So yeah, I learnt a lot from Taylor Swift.”
— Matt Berninger to The Times on his friendship and working relationship with Taylor (x)

maria-interview-wikipedia, hi! do you have a post with all of taylor's interviews or a place to find them? thank youuu
hii! @taylor-on-your-dash actually made a spreadsheet with all the ones you can actually find. there’s some radio stuff missing, and some interviews have all but turned into lost media at this point, but it’s easily the most comprehensive list I’ve seen.

I can’t get over how genius the whole rollout and twist of the first part of the project has been so far. The music speaks for itself, but the wider rollout is actually hilarious. She is fully sticking a middle finger up to a lot of the fanbase and forcing them to engage with why and how they consume her, not just her music but her as a figure
And the material in the album itself is maybe her tightest and craziest yet thematically? Instant love
Taylor the mastermind is on full display here
