Um, yeah since I was 7 - I’m still the one - only one of my friend that is “left behind” I don’t feel that way. I don’t hate the idea of having kids … I hate the idea of dealing with other parents!!! Same with my dogs, and same with my horse! I have different expectations than you -obviously- but I have to deal with awful children raised by people who don’t believe in discipline or manners because they are “expressing themselves”. Fuck that. I like MY dogs, they don’t jump on people and are trained. I like MY horse whom everyone wants to love on and ride - yet when I discipline them or correct them, people are shocked! “She’s so sweet! You shouldn’t do that!” As if my mare behaves that way naturally?! Um no - I make them responsible for their actions and learn which is why you love them. Then you make me out to be the “bad guy”. For east and MINOR corrections. I can't imagine these kind of issues are conducive for animals let alone children. No thank you.

I find it fascinating that people who choose not to have children are generally assumed to feel really strongly about not having children (or even to feel really strongly against children, anyone’s children, in general). I am probably not going to have children, not because I REALLY REALLY HATE the idea of having children, but because I don’t really really love it. Out of all the major decisions I will make in my life, this one is the only irreversible one. I can sell a house, quit a job, divorce a spouse, whatever. I cannot unhave a child. I cannot opt out of being a parent once I become a parent. I can’t even take a step back for the sake of self-care or whatever, or else my child will suffer.

So for me, having children is fuck yes or not at all. The default will be to remain childfree. Having children should be an opt-in decision, not an opt-out one. Until/unless I develop really strong feelings about wanting to have children, I won’t have them, even if that means I never end up having them at all.

On some real shit, I do not fuck with people who ride those boat things at the carnival. People who get on those do not give a fuck about life, they don’t care about you, ya mama or your kids. They literally have nothing to lose. You don’t care about life so there’s no need for me to fight you because you’re not going to give a damn about my face.

The Jorvik Warmblood

From the moment we entered Jorvik, they have been here for us. We ran our first races on them, we stopped our first GED scheme with them, and while we may have moved on to prettier ponies, they faithfully wait for us to return to them.

And now, it’s time we give a little back to them.

Citizens of SSO Tumblr, in collaboration with @allison-nightstar, we would like to formally invite each of you to the Jorvik Warmblood Appreciation Meetup! This is your chance to flaunt your very first equine partner and give them the love they deserve!

Date: Sunday, March 12th

Time: 5 - 8pm EST

Server: Frost Valley

Location: the field by Conrad’s house, where we first spied on GED

What to bring: Your lovely selves, your Jorvik Warmblood, and treats! Clothing and tack are entirely up to you, but bonus points if you commit and arrive completely in starter gear!

As with some previous meetups, this one will be exclusively in non-Star Rider areas, so that everyone can attend! We can hang out, play games, have a barbecue on the beach, and give our horses all the pats and treats their hearts desire! Hope to see you all there!

This is Eastspell - the foal I raised. I gave him to Odette (level 6) to help with getting around faster and am so thrilled with him. Went to the mall and found the most ridiculous outfit for Odette but it had the highest stats available lol so I guess I get to wait for a higher level to look posh instead of homeless XD

Hello! I’m Haley Oldland, 19 years old, and residing on the Norwegian server Misty Valley. I’ve been playing SSO for exactly four years now and have been lurking in the shadows of the tumblr community a bit, so I decided it was time to make an account myself!
