this whole paragraph is great. i LOVE this paragraph. i love that it starts with "the streets are empty" to show how disconnected everyone in this suburb is. sure they're about to die, but did they ever really exist in a way that matters to begin with? you could say a lot about this but i want to keep it brief for now

i also love how Desolation is both capitalized and shown to be an musician. it's very poetic
