Paimon had reasons why asked that. Unohana had been gone for bit longer since the time she was being banished by the 'stars'. She can't blame them for her being disappeared for very long. It proves that even the longest hibernating denizen can return here as well by one eclipse.

Was it a relief coming from them? Surely, it is. Until something came up to her mind. Unohana had to be updated on what was going on around here. Stars, be doing something in her absence.

"I know i've been gone for too long, so i ask something." She sighs as she continued. "Are there anything happened while i was gone?"

She had to be sated with answers. It's alright if not, she's not going to hurt anyone... yet.

that was a sentiment the Traveler had been all too accustomed to hearing — friends of nations once trailed would speak the very same words when a festival or commission brought them back into the vicinity. and Spirale was no different — in a city so huge, Lumine presumed some time could roll by easily before connecting up with someone again. or, in this case, outside forces had intervened for reasons unbeknownst.

"it has. I wondered if the Stars intended to bring you back or not. there doesn't seem to be any pattern in who they decide to extract and who stays. or why some come back".

Paimon recoiled at the sight upon turning to face the greeting, taken aback so fiercely a squeak escaped her tightening throat. that unease did not diminish just because they were speaking with someone known — if anything, it gave her more reason to fret. ✦you just... disappeared one day. and there was no trace of you in the condo, like you'd never lived there! you aren't.... mad, right? we don't have any say-so on anyone moving into your room, and we didn't sell anything!✦

Unohana had no idea what this one is yapping about, hence the offering of skewers. Not hungry but not poisonous either so she took one with no hesitation. This one, she wondered.

Is that being a Hollow? Arrancar? Quincy is out of the question.

"And what kind of being are you? You almost remind me of an Arrancar..." Neutral tone as said, she hoped not a threat.

"I was surprised to see that they were making snacks pretty similar to how they did it back at home." Granted everything was much more "modern", almost to the point that if Rose thought about it for a few more minutes her brain might fry. But food was food at the end of the day and if passed both the smell & taste test then who was she to deny trying it out.

"Did you want one too?" She said, holding out one of the skewers up towards them. "The stall gave me a few extra since they had too much. And well not to sound rude but you might have been staring at me for awhile. So I just took that as your hungry."

Passing through the same ward which is Golden, there lies Paimon and Lumine. It was been a long time, so perhaps a neutral approach would do nicely. She does know about them since the mists and such.

It was a surprise.

"Oh, it's you two. Been a long while, perhaps." Literally of how she says 'hi' while looking creepy neutrally. Don't scare them now.

"I'm no longer Captain. Isane is now Captain after i was perished just to awaken his hidden potential. I should have joined if it wasn't for Kyoraku." Unohana only sighed after letting herself die because of a sacred rule. "After all, whoever wishes to be 'Kenpachi' must kill the one who holds it." She was the one wielding that title before she got here as leaving that to Zaraki. In Spirale, she is now once again as 'Kenpachi', meaning she have lots of targets right in all directions. Local or not.

The switched sides however, made her want to know.

"You contributed to the Shinigami's side, why defect?" Defection has a bad exchange which is death, if that's how Yhwach keeps an eye to his soldiers. Giselle too was a soldier to Yhwach.

in a city so devoid of spirit energy, this woman's presence was like a tidal wave. Giselle felt her before she saw her, hesitantly rounding the corner where she had heard a commotion. curiosity had drawn her closer, but she truly wished she hadn't just wandered into a "curiosity kills the cat" type of situation.

being immediately identified didn't sit well with her, but she supposed it was only natural.

"And if I said yes, Ms. Shinigami Captain," a complete guess, based on her reiatsu, "would that get me in trouble? I ended up helping your side a little bit, you know."

One thing's a close or not too close resemblance is someone only this orange-haired girl knows. Unohana isn't a type of an interactive towards strangers due to her duty-bound lifestyle as 'Retsu'. The girl does almost resembled Orihime, even in body wise, it was not.

Only thing Unohana do is look at her, wondering what does this one want.

"And what you want from me? Here to kill me and claim the title of 'Kenpachi'? Or something else." Grip of her wooden sword holds tight but not drawn.

Unohana never seen or met this one before. Even in the Battle of Fake Karakura she was there but here was the first. Never seen from the war and literally everything indeed. Of course, he reeks of violence, almost like Zaraki.

Folded arms aside, she only found him because of his 'reiatsu'. Was 'reiatsu' here in Spirale a thing? Unohana doesn't care.

"Your aura almost reminds me of Zaraki. You must be an Espada member, under Aizen." She had dealt with crazies before, she's cautious on what will he do. Know his behavior, even.

"I have never encountered you before. Let it be Retsu herself as well."

Back at this place again, it was already like home than at her world's 'Hell' where the strongest captains died. While Minazuki is still isn't present, possibly hoping a miracle coming for Unohana, there was something familiar in reiatsu but something not mutual or never encountered since the war strikes by.

"A quincy?" The outfit, color scheme were a dead giveaway that this one is indeed serving under Yhwach, not a surprise but she really wished she had at least fought one. She was holding the thug's shirt and shoves him elsewhere and back to her once again.

"You were present at the war, right?" Unohana wonders as she was busy that time underground.

"I hope you can." In a further distance, there is that 'one' person who was filled with malice and murder on her mind, armed with a blade.

Unohana sighs as the assailant was not looking at her directly but at Danny. Perhaps a penchant to kill that's weaker, especially stripped off by the stars. The assailant talked first.

"Well aren't you looking so cute~ Let me kill you, alright?" Right when she was supposed to kill Danny, it was effortlessly countered by precisely grabbing her arm, twisting and dropped her weapon by Unohana.

"I don't normally save anyone but you're an exception." Kicking Kronya off along with her weapon, she'd face the assailant with merely a wooden sword and they clashed by toying her movements.

"Stay there or she will kill you for real."

        wary blue eyes tracked over the strange woman as danny took a step to the side—not quite moving to or away from her, but slanting the angle of his gaze to better watch her from. as she asked her question, though, his head tilted slightly, the space between his eyes furrowing gently as he frowned. did he have any weapons? technically, he supposed, the answer was no. he'd been stripped of most of his abilities, his ectoblasts included, and even the fenton thermos had been taken from him. but... still. he wasn't going to admit that to her.

    ❝ Oh, uh, yeah, of course I do. Trust me, I can take care of myself. ❞ well, that wasn't usually a lie.

"High-schooler..." Secrets meant not to be discovered but sooner it will be slipped by a long run. Humans are good at hiding it much to Unohana's concerns, anyway. Everyone's powers from the very start landing here would be disabled and weapons taken away as Unohana got used to this.

Perhaps, he was too young in the shinigami's view. Younger than a normal infant.

"I see." She will play along with that respond he had said. "Do you have any weapons, at least? Majority of the people here weren't as normal as you because some were demons disguised as humans and so on." That tone was serious as she had seen things in her stay.

        as the other spoke, danny couldn't help but eye her skeptically. she felt... odd. off, in a manner danny couldn't really explain. his mouth felt cold, in the way it did when his ghost sense went off. but even when he let his lips part it remained, and no ghostly mist slipped out—like it couldn't quite decide if it should warn him or not. it made danny frown, shoulders tensing with wariness, but he forced himself to keep a neutral expression. she'd been nothing but peaceful so far, and like hell he was going to start a fight if he didn't have to.

    ❝ Uhhh... a high schooler? ❞ true, although danny wasn't stupid. he knew what she was really asking; he just wasn't willing to hand over his secrets to everyone that asked. ❝ I know the boys' locker room is pretty toxic, but I didn't think it was something that lingered, ❞ he quipped, offering a crooked smile.

It's no surprise that others merely think Spirale was a prison but he's right. It is a prison with a guise of a whole country with varied spots. She felt something akin to her kind as a shinigami but merely different to her kind but... same in aspect? She's not sure.

The only thing Unohana do is stare at him neutrally even with a cold gaze.

"This is 'Spirale', as others would have said." Hip on hand aside, her tone is quite neutral. Something was kinda off on this boy. This intrigues Unohana to ask him about what he really was... or something.

"I felt something strange on you. What kind of a being are you?"

        if anyone were to ask, danny would never admit to being lost. after all, he'd started out just fine. a normal-looking city, all things considered, had unraveled beneath his feet as he'd wandered. but almost before he knew it, the streets and alleyways got sketchier and darker, and before long, he was in a... canyon? was this really a canyon? danny could almost hear tucker's maniacal laughter at the situation he'd somehow managed to get himself into. lost at the bottom of a rocky canyon, in a weird death-trap city, totally alone and without access to most of his ghost powers. but, a small voice whispered in his mind, tucker would still help you afterwards. but tucker wasn't here. and neither was sam. danny felt a pang shoot through his heart at the thought.

    before it could grow into something worse, though, the scuff of a shoe snapped danny's attention to the path ahead of him. around the bend, he could seen a person approaching! a person who probably knew where he was!

"I would but..." Unohana only retaliates if attacked. She only does that to anyone strong and she's not one of just yet. Perhaps being 'Retsu' which was her alterego should be the one talking but seems everyone here can be hostile, newcomer or not.

Perhaps, this one looked strong. Might be interested to see this one's ability of using a sword.

"For some reasons, i would like to see your capabilities of using a sword. Would you like to spar, perhaps?" She's only holding her wooden sword that's not sheathed.

she didn't like the feeling of this woman one bit.

looks are always deceiving, the truth hidden beneath shadow but she did not need the ability to "see" to know that something wasn't right about her. it wasn't her time as an operator that told her this, nor her arts, but her years of experience fighting just to survive. there was a barely restrained bloodlust begging to be released. the slightest hint of provocation and that thing string pulled so taut would be snapped within a second.

she had long tossed aside that flimsy wooden sword they gave her, choosing to buy a simple dagger from the underside. Ines had no intentions to get into a fight but--

Returned back with a simple stare on the other, well, taking mind off or something like enjoying might be the possible answers. Unohana had her share on Winterfes but at least, Ichigo and his friends can enjoy it. She saw a balloon flew away and heard the child crying, she ignored it.

"Could be the first option you have said, or the other. Maybe both." Perhaps both indeed for her. "What else this festival offers than this?"

"I was just admiring the songs that's all. Though forgive my rudness but this doesn't seem like a place you'd enjoy too much." It was an aura she was particularly used to at this rate. The one of an individual who knew nothing but fighting. Common in the worlds Mélusine had been in but considering the time of season now, felt strange.

"Are you actually trying to enjoy yourself? Or just take your mind off everything else?"
