Pearl is good about redstone safety and always makes sure to use her gloves and respirator whenever she's working with the stuff, a holdover from when she worked with dangerous redstone waste products as the cleaning lady. She's a model citizen when it comes to redstone ppe, much to the annoyance of the redstoners she spends time with who believe ppe is a suggestion at best.
