Spam/Phishing/Fraud attempt alert. I’ve got a LOT more of these than usual as have some friends and associates. I mean there’s always tons of these, but lately seems to be an uptick in this type of fraud.
However.... Welp, like most sensible people I do NOT attach the webcam to the computer and for stuff I can’t rip it off of, like my Samsung Tablet well I cover it with a square of black electrical tape. My phone is in a case that covers it when not in use.
Thus - the claim of these emails of us during a … stress relief moment … at a website embarrassing/illegal or whatever - just plain is false.
But there are lots of these out there. They use something the internet allows - advertising in the extreme... For the price of mailing 100 letters if you do it by hand you can mail 30 MILLION people. Somewhere there’s someone in the right/wrong state of mind who’ll panic and rush to buy bitcoin to send to them, then the next one and the next one will appear... Just like the “Ambassador in Exile of Nigeria...” Not bashing the internet, just a change of pace that a fraud that is very rare and almost impossible to pull of in RL works so good on the net.
The reason I’m posting this is that if you get these, please report them to your Internet Service Provider - and to the FCC. The government has a setup where lots of times they rely on complaints before taking action. I want to be respectful of our government, lots of dangerous people they need to actively look for. However, a pile of complaints and hopefully this dishonest person will get a knock on the door with a warrant before they get someone’s money unfairly.
Do NOT be embarrassed to report this thing... No way does this hacker know anything about you - he’s sending it to millions of people at a time... But our public servants and local ISPs need a nice heads up from us the citizenry to help allocate resources to look into this!
End public service message - please forward this freely and email it, re-post the graphic - permission of original inbox holder is granted if used in spreading the word.

http://www.sykodelic.dreamhosters.com/2starscroll.htm page on classic StarScroll - long lasting but now gone type of horoscope vending machine. Used to like these, more for the Aesthetic, as a kid. The machines were functional works of art, the table trays you often saw at store impulse areas neat too. Now the old machines sell on ebay though nothing is really made for them, have come close to buying one myself, but it would be clutter and even if I could find some sort of horoscope in that format I’d have to change all the art to avoid Copyright issues though I bet it’d sell like the original ones used to.
