Wearing their jacket because they insist it will be warmer than yours, despite just wanting their jacket to smell like you

Wandering around the mall together, playfully arguing over whether you should go to Cinnabon

Going to book stores together and losing track of time

Getting so caught up in the relationship that you forget to tell anyone about it

It is a thing of indescribable beauty to linger and ponder upon the traces of this stranger’s anecdotes, as if his intended crooked pencil highlights were hidden messages left solely for me to decode— his intimate overture for me to drink from the fascinations of his soul, to undress the consuming depths of his heart, and to explore the labyrinth of his mind. A tryst in which his past and my present entwine in the browned pages of a Russian classic.
