how is this run so awful that i can't even enjoy eddie and the symbiote being a genuine team and working together, like, i'm normally able to do that regardless of how bad a story is, but here, the surrounding context is such a mess that it's way too much to be able to ignore

why are they looking out for each other like a true team it doesn’t make sense

either 1. they're looking out for each other because it's actually an "abusive codependent relationship" or some bullshit like cates said which is such a mess because why would their relationship literally go right back to the exact way they were pre-abyss when the whole point of the abyss was supposedly for eddie to realize it was an abusive codependent relationship and move on for the better

like, at the very least, we should have eddie and the symbiote having some internal conflict as eddie goes "fuck you symby i wouldn't have you here if i couldn't help it"  they should not be this in sync together

2. they're looking out for each because cates forgot the abyss happened and just wrote them as a team because venom is inherently a team which may or may not be worse than #1 depending on how you look at it
