Normally, V would be wary to go to a place that advertised housing demons that ate his kind. But the allure of what he heard about the place as well as the decor made it difficult for him to resist. Not to mention, V was more than capable of taking care of himself, should the need arise to kill a few demons.
Dark Omen, as the vampire club was called was a place that was tucked away in an alleyway of all things. Cast in midnight-colored brick with a neon red sign that shown the name above the black, wooden door, even the outside spoke well of the place. Two candles on either side of the entrance were housed in glass and give a warm glow to the otherwise barren street.
Knocking on the door twice, a small partition in the door slid open revealing a set of red eyes.
"la Faim Éternelle" he recited the password, and the door opened to reveal a place that looked much more grand than what would belong tucked into the side of an alley.
Gothic archways that divided each section of the club with it's high ceiling. Sectioned of further were black chandeliers with red candles that looked like that they had not been burned down a centimeter gave the same warm glow to the different tables below.
The sound of bass had a pleasant thrum about the place, and it wasn't entirely too loud.

The tone between he and Hanamura was light, as it nearly always was so far. It was something that V could get used to, if he was able to stay that long.
There was a part of him that wondered what his new friend knew about the murders, and how deeply he was involved. Hanamura never really said anything incriminating, it was just a feeling that V had. Call it, 'experienced instinct.'
V chuckled as he heard the conversation between his guide and the reception lady. Had she been closer to his age, he would have tried to put in a good word for him as a jest, but it wasn't something that was that serious and he could see clearly how well it would have went.
He smiled and thanked him for the key as he took it.
"You know, I was serious when I said you could join me on this excursion. Regardless of the price, I would like to thank you properly for all that you have done." he offered.
This was, oddly enough, his first time in a supermarket. Having not been familiar with the human world, he didn't realize that there were conveniences that allowed him to get many things all on one place. The magazine article he had in his pocket advertised such a place called Junes, which he had entered.
Needless to say, it was all very confusing to him. Not to mention, overwhelming with everything just-- everywhere.

A promising aspect, to be sure. V was certainly curious about ancient Japan in concept and had read a few things about it, but being able to experience it in some way would be like a dream, as some would recount.
Yosuke's question was one that he would get sometimes, and it gave him an urge to recite one of the lines from his favorite poet:
"I am but two days old." he responded with a bit of dramatic flare before chuckling.
But now he would have to make something up. His true age of when he was whole was in the lower 50's. However, this body looked much younger than that.
"Just kidding, let's just say I'm in my 20's." he answered, a smirk on his face and mirth about his countenance.

V couldn't help but chuckle at Hanamura's display. He really seemed to be a good soul to be around.
There was a name that he used though. Yukiko. Perhaps it was someone he knew considering the context. And that really wasn't that difficult to believe considering the size of the town. V was sure word could travel pretty quickly.
"It looks absolutely wonderful. I can't wait to see what is inside." he agreed, a bit of awe in his voice.
But then he looked back to Yosuke.
"Oh, the front desk lady, is she your age, or closer to mine?" he asked thoughtfully.

The pair had continued to chat and banter here and there as a way to fill time on the rather peaceful walk to the Inn. It was truly a wonderful thing for the summoner to see a town that was not abandoned or war-torn. He had probably been a child since he last saw something like that.
There was a sense of disconnect though.
Like it would only be moments before something would happen that would devastate the city of Inaba. But it was part of his job to make sure that didn't happen.
But while he was here, and everything was intact, he would take his time and enjoy the pleasantries.
V was sure he had reached where they were supposed to go when an incredibly large, ancient style building had come into view.

Being as they were in close proximity, V was able to catch the mutter. Interesting, perhaps Hanamura would be even more useful to his job as well as everything else he was already doing. But that would be enough of that for now.
His companion's youth showed in a few ways, and his stuttering was certainly one of those ways. It made him chuckle.
"Yes," as he rose from the bench. "I should be good now, let's be off." he agreed.
"And you will be fine with me here even if they show themselves." he stated plainly.

At Hanamura's reaction to what he said, he looked to him with a confused expression. He had heard of humans fearing demons, but never denying their existence.
"I do like to read all sorts of books in the pursuit of knowledge, yes, but I am not a novelist." he iterated then continued as if he hadn't stopped.
"I had originally come here on business because I was contracted to. There have been a lot of strange happenings here in Inaba and my employer believes it to be for reason of an occult persuasion. I'm living in the area temporarily until I can get that sorted out." he spoke in all seriousness.

After all of the items the pair of them had procured, he was glad for the offer for Hanamura to carry the bag for him. It was silly, but he had forgotten his cane at his apartment in the excitement of what Junes could hold for him. He was still getting used to needing to carry it around for longer trips anyway.
Once he had made it outside he looked around for a moment as if he were lost, but then he found it.
A bench.
"Forgive me, I need to rest for a little bit, then we can be off." he apologized, but left room for Hanamura to sit in case he wanted to.
While they were there, he just assume answer his companion's question.
"I don't think places like Junes were ever part of Redgrave City. At least, not as I have ever seen it. It was actively being destroyed by demons when I left it." he commented as if he were speaking about the weather where he lived.

Hanamura even went through the trouble of procuring a way to easily carry the goods for him. And as such, V thanked him and placed the boxes in the basket and took the basket from him to carry.
Where he was from most people would jump on a chance for free things. It being an apocalyptic city and all. But perhaps this was something he had read about at work. The Japanese were known for being polite to the point of not wanting to burden others in anyway.
But that was one of the perks as having devil hunting as your method of making a living for long enough. People would pay higher prices when their necks were on the line.
"That would be wonderful," he nodded. "The next thing I would need would be the produce." he mentioned. "I have a dish I want to try to make for the first time and I need a few vegetables and meat for it."

So, the name of the place would be the Amagi Inn.
He could imagine it now. An actual hot spring like the one time he and his mother and brother-- He had to shake his head. Those memories would be best left for him to indulge in when he was alone. He sighed gently, yet not disappointed sounding. More like somber.
Back to the matter at hand, Hanamura was right, there was more to do. And his concern was very kind. It was one thing meeting and conversing with humans, and entirely another for one to be so good to him as neither usually happened... or so his previous memories told him.
That's when a thought occurred to him.
"Oh no, you aren't keeping me. But I wanted to do something for you since you have been so kind to me. Once we finish here, and you have time, if you could show me to this Amagi Inn? I would be more than happy to have you join me in a stay there as a gift for all you have done." he offered as he readjusted the boxes of tea in his arms that he had been presented with for consideration.

"And water quality as well, that's right." he repeated, just as pleasantly before, if not amused.
Now hearing about an inn with such accommodations is something he would be more than happy to visit. As such his expression lit up in interest.
"Oh? I would love to pay a visit to this inn if it offers experiences like that. I've been meaning to learn more about Japanese culture as well. Could you tell me more about it?" he asked.
The next thing he was presented with a more ornate looking container. Looking down at it, he went to read the label as Hanamura was speaking. Loose leaf was it? Perfect.
"I'd be more than happy to take this one. Thank you for the suggestion, Hanamura."

Seeing the fidgeting, V was hoping something he said was not frightening or offensive. As such, his dark brows knit together and his lips curled into a frown. However, his guide was ever diligent as this must have been his job. At least, he thought so.
The boxes he was handed were made of paper and most of the brands he did not recognize. However, it was easy to see what kind of tea he was being handed as it was marked lower down on the box. Maybe it was time to try something new.
"Yes, you got it." he chuckled.
A friendly smile had come upon the summoner. Maybe his guide was just nervous. It came off kind of cute in a child-like way if thought that way.
At the latter question V nodded.
"Yes, the variety is in the subtleties of taste, caffeine content, and how long the leaves have grown and in what places." he replied.

They say that one's countenance can be infectious. And that certainly seemed to be the case, as a small smile drifted onto his plump lips. His shoulders relaxed as the boy eagerly showed him the way. Even offering to lead him there.
"Thank you--" It was then, V remembered he had not learned the boy's name. As well as it was customary to offer your own first when seeking it.
"My name is V, and I appreciate your help." he added, sincerely.
He followed behind the boy anyways as he lead the way through the maze. the summoner looking about to try to memorize the aisles so he wouldn't get lost if his companion decided to leave him for whatever reason.
