Tuesday Sullivan. Tues. 18. Muggleborn. Gryffindor. Beater. Dating Tyler Envest. Not as fearless as I might seem.

I just sat in a back table drinking potions and glaring at him when I wasn’t making a strong attempt to whisk Cassidy off her feet. I know, he seemed to be talking to people with Ministry parents or with supposedly better ancestory than us muggleborns, which threw me off the list. I won’t stop, you looked like a pretty princess now accept it Tues. Accept your royalty!
You were trying to make alcohol weren't, you? Suck a Katie Thorne move, I'm not even surprised. Did you manage to whisk your girl off her feet? Mm, yeah, I saw him talking to a lot of the pureblood kids. I guess we just weren't important enough for him to even bother. Or we just haven't caused enough trouble for him yet. Which is kind of both a good thing and a bad thing. God, I should just show up to the next thing wearing slacks or something, but knowing you, you'd still call me a damn princess.
Well....

Wasn’t much of a bore as it were annoying to see Lowell walking about like he own the place. Oh please, there is some cosmic rule out there that states that you, Tuesday Sullivan looks like a damn princess during every fancy school function possible.
Oh yeah, that... You know, I don't think that event was even put together for him, I think he did it for himself. Just to get a chance to size us all up, see who will be a threat and who won't be? It was... Uncomfortable. Of course, he had no reason to talk to me, but I saw he was talking to a lot of other students. What? Oh god no, stop it. I just put on a dress and did my hair a little differently. I was, by no means, a princess.
Well....

I want to sleep too, but it seems that our lives need to still go on, as much as we hate for it to. How much of a bore was that damn ball though. At least I felt fabulous in my dress.
Well....
last night was sufficiently awkward and upsetting. So is it alright for me to sleep the rest of the day or not? At least nothing serious happened this time around.

Maybe there is a feud between our aurors and these aurors? Maybe they disagree with the new minister? Maybe they are guarding the other parts of the castle? Or…I think McGonagall giving them the night off is most realistic option.
I don't know their reasons or being gone, but shit, they've been here every single damn day for months, and the Minister shows up and they are nowhere to be seen. It just strikes me as... Strange. Very strange.
Umm, an observation...

I’m glad that general consensus has come around to decide that they’re not bad people — I mean, it would be a shame if we were actually locked here day after day with people looking to kill us. But-… no, yeah, it’s definitely weird — unless Lowell thought he didn’t need that much protection and figured his own personal team could handle security? He could pretty much do whatever he wanted, and maybe he wanted his close bodyguards and not whatever dregs of the auror squad were assigned to us?
They seemed like bad people at first, the way they were lurking and all... But the more you get to know, I mean... They're just people, and they seem like they really are wanting to help us. It doesn't make much sense though, if he wanted to be protected and whatnot, then why send away nine perfectly capable aurors? It doesn't make sense. And what makes even less sense is that I actually miss their dumb faces. All except for the other creepy dude with the blue eyes.
Umm, an observation...

Yeah, I have noticed that. It’s like… he’s looking for something, or… more specifically, someone. Or he’s trying to determine which of us he wants to eliminate. So you didn’t buy into that speech either? Not many people our age seem to have. You’re… really upset about this nonalcoholic thing, huh?
Everyone who's against him and him being Minister, those are the people he wants to eliminate. That speech was utter bull, he's so full of it, it makes me sick to my stomach. It's just a shame, because he seemed to have gotten to the younger students. It's not so much about the fact that there's no alcohol, it's more that... This would be more fun if there was any.
This is so damn fancy...

I kind of like that they’ve become our aurors, as opposed to these strangers - but I uh-.. I don’t know. I heard Flitwick mention something about them being gone or not here or somethig, but that’s just stating the obvious - they might be out in the grounds? Cicely suggested that-… but it’s weird not having them right in here, you know? I’ve kind of gotten used to them hovering.
But they have though, they've been here for forever, lurking, wandering the hallways, sneaking around talking about things out loud and not taking too much care if we're listening or not... As much as I hated them in the beginning, they're not... Bad people, I think they're here to help. And now they're just... Gone, as if chased away by these new, a lot more scary aurors... It's strange that they're not here though, right?
Umm, an observation...

Right, yeah… you find him scary? I mean… there’s certainly something… unsettling but… maybe not outright scary. It’s a shame you’re not enjoying yourself but I don’t blame you. This reminds me of the events my grandparents used to frequent.
Have you looked at him? See the way his gaze travels across the room, like he's picking out the next person he's going to interrogate? There's something fishy about him, I've always known, but now, seeing him, I knew I was right. If we could just get... Some alcohol in here or something, this party might have been awesome.
This is so damn fancy...

Where the hell are the aurors? Our aurors, I mean, not ours, but... They're not here.

It was settling just hearing her voice but he could feel himself easing into the comfort of being able to hold her hand and leaning into the brief kiss she pressed against his cheek. “Not at all, it only seems completely reasonable to inform you of how beautiful you are whenever I get the chance.” He wouldn’t deny that her compliment took some of the embarrassment away from having had to dress up in clothes chosen by his family but he still found himself looking down momentarily and laughing off the compliment with an added shrug, “I can’t say it was all my doing, but thank you either way.” Giving a gentle tug on her hands to pull her closer, a slight smirk forming on his features as he hummed quietly, “Oh, I remember from the first time we danced but there’s no bonfires out tonight so I’d say we’re pretty safe to give it a try, though you were nowhere near as bad as you thought last time.”
It might actually seem a little strange that Tuesday wasn't opposed to receiving compliments, but somehow it was always a little different with Tyler. When he complimented her, she felt her knees go weak, and she always felt her cheeks grow warm. "Oh, stop it, it's just a dress. Tomorrow I'll be back to wearing my usual dumb clothes," she whispered, and gave him a almost shy grin as he pulled her just a little bit closer, and she moved her arms up to put them around his neck. "You haven't worn dress robes before, not while we've been together. It's a good look on you. So handsome." Tyler was always handsome, but there was just something about a man in a suit, or something that looked like a suit. It was a very good look on him. "Oh, the bonfire... It seems like such a long time ago. I was so nervous about dancing with you, since I know you have training and stuff. So if you want to dance, you'd better lead, okay?" Tuesday wasn't a dancer, she never had been. But she did enjoy dancing with Tyler. She would always feel comfortable in his arms.

I know what you mean. I don’t typically elect to spend time in big groups like this. You know, a lot of people seem to agree that the no alcohol rule is kind of a downer.
It's not so much that I mind being in bigger groups and whatnot, it's just this, the situation. Dearest Lowell Tegus is one scary fucker, and I don't want to be anywhere near him. If I were drunk, this wouldn't be such a god damn stuck up, boring party.
This is so damn fancy...

Well, I mean it’s a school event, but we’re also showing off for the new minister. That makes your dress even cooler though, that it’s muggle. I mean it’s not a commonly held belief in pureblood circles, but I think muggle things are fascinating. And the cool thing about having this ball around friends is that we don’t care about any of that. Personally I just like hanging out and talking to people.
I don't want to show off for the Minister, all I want to do is flip him off, but I'm afraid his goons would break my finger right off. Well- Muggle clothing really isn't all that different from Wizarding clothing, I figure it just... Isn't made by magic and that's the only difference. I wish we could all hang out in another setting though, while not being paraded around like animals in a dam zoo.
This is so damn fancy...

"Well fortunately, or maybe unfortunately in this situation, I’m much more at home in hay fields then attempting to enjoy myself at formal gatherings. You can always count on Hogwarts for good food at least, I’ve been picking at bits every few minutes so far. Oh, thanks. I’m not too good at the whole formal wear thing but my grandparents are pretty good at supplying me with stuff. You look quite amazing yourself, doing the Gryffindor colours justice for sure."
Yeah, I get that, I do. I'd be much more comfortable wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, to be honest, but it's fun to dress up every now and then too. I actually do enjoy looking pretty every now and then, even if I don't try all that hard a lot of the time. Mm, the snacks here are good at least. But the newly arrived company, not so much... Minister Tegus looks freaking terrifying, to be honest.
This is so damn fancy...

If it were possible to feel as equally comfortable as you were out of place then Tyler felt just that. He knew the environment well and had grown up around it, which was enough to comfort him slightly, but he still felt as if all the students were on show and he wasn’t someone who liked to be observed. When he spotted the Gryffindor, looking as wonderful as he knew she would, he moved as quickly as was possible in her direction and when she turned to face him he was filled with an ease that only she could provide. “Just one thing?” He asked with a small smile, absentmindedly linking his fingers through hers and taking great comfort in the contact. “Does a declaration of how stunning you look count? Or would it make you feel any better if I informed you that tradition states that the first and last dance should be shared with your beloved?”
There would absolutely never be a time where Tyler wouldn't make her feel more at ease, with any situation. And knowing that he was right there, and that he'd come to her, that made her feel so much better about this dumb ball. "Mhm, just one thing," she confirmed, her grin growing even bigger as he took her hands and linked their fingers, and she walked up closer to him, and leaned up to press a kiss to his cheek. "Mhm, that declaration helps a lot. And thank you, by the way..." Tues smiled, and pulled back just enough to look him up and down, and gave a small whistle. "You look absolutely fantastic, Ty. You clean up nicely." He really did look handsome though, so very handsome. It was like she forgot every single time they were apart, and when they saw each other again, she was reminded once more. "Oh, so... You're attempting to ask me to dance? Just so know, I'm not a good dancer, so I hope you can lead me. If that's what you're asking, of course."

Some Celebration | Open para
This damn party seemed to be such a drag, it wasn't so much a party as it were the students being examined and put under a scope, and Tuesday felt uncomfortable all over. Not only did this seem like a party for purebloods exclusively, and Tuesday felt so incredibly out of place, she felt goose bumps all over her skin from watching the Aurors circling their new Minister. It wasn't until she heard footsteps coming up to her that she snapped her gaze back from the Minister and to the person approaching. "How lame is this ball, huh? If you can come up with one thing that would make me enjoy this more, I might just worship you until the end of time." She gave a small grin, and folded her arms in front of her chest.

I don’t know that you necessarily have to be fancy for this… they made it mandatory, surely they were aware that not everyone is a pureblood or socialite.
Oh, I know, it's a school-wide event, but... This isn't exactly the kind of parties that I normally go to? At least if there had been some alcohol, I would have been able to enjoy myself more.
This is so damn fancy...

Oh, you don’t need to be fancy enough to be here, Tues. Even you know that. But frankly, I can say that even some of the fanciest people around wouldn’t want to be here right now. And you look atrociously bored, dear Merlin. Smile a little, at least.
This is like... A fancy as all hell pureblood's party though. I am bored, Bran, there's not even any alcohol. And I don't very much feel like celebrating the new Minister, he looks creepy as all hell. I mean, have you seen him? He looks scary, bordering on evil, actually.
This is so damn fancy...
