I watched K-pop Demon Hunters and liked it more than I thought I would, so I have thoughts about it.
I've seen people headcanon/theorize that Bobby was a former K-pop Idol and that's why he's a very lenient manager with HUNTRIX. It's a great and wholesome theory, no doubt, but there's potential to explore that idea with Celine.
I think some people forget that, while Celine did train and mentor them in hunting demons, she's also canonically a former K-pop Idol herself. She's a senior and a veteran in this field. Her group, the Sunlight Sisters(?), was clearly very popular and that popularity inevitably comes with disadvantages in the entertainment industry.
She would know all about the downsides to being a K-pop Idol. Behind the scenes, it's overly strict diets, tight schedules, nonstop performances, the constant expectation to be perfect, overworking with minimal to no breaks at all, abusive staff and/or executives who look at Idols as products. Outside of that, there's strange fans, shippers, creeps, haters, and antis. The dangers of being famous if the public doesn't respect boundaries.
I believe it's more or less implied that Celine has quite a bit of authority when it comes to managing HUNTRIX as a group considering a fan in the introduction said that she "built HUNTRIX around Rumi." That said, it's plausible that a part of the reason why the girls' lives as K-pop Idols seems so laid-back is because Celine ensured they are well taken care of in order to balance out the demon-hunting that they do on the side.
On top of all that, I'm fairly sure that HUNTRIX debuted quite young. Based on the "five-year reigning champions" line at the Idol Awards (which means that HUNTRIX is in their 6th year) and the ages of the girls stated by the director during a Q&A, Rumi and Mira were likely 17/18 while Zoey was likely 16/17 when they debuted.
Debuting young has always been a problem in K-pop ever since. I believe there was a 2nd Generation Idol who was only 13-years-old when she debuted. Unfortunately, being underage doesn't stop certain types of fans and executives from being weird towards these Idols. So imagine Celine, some time before HUNTRIX debuts, pulling the girls aside and warning them of what to expect once they officially debut. Telling them, "If anything strange happens, tell me or Bobby and we'll handle it."
Yeah, just my two cents. I know just about everybody in the fandom has a hit out on Celine, but I don't think she's all that bad.
#kpop demon hunters#kpdh#celine kpdh#bobby kpdh#rumi kpdh#mira kpdh#zoey kpdh#celine kpop demon hunters#bobby kpop demon hunters#rumi kpop demon hunters#mira kpop demon hunters#zoey kpop demon hunters#i think the director stated that rumi and mira are both 23/24 in the movie while zoey is 22/23#so i did some math and found out that even in fiction kpop idols still debut young#anyway basically being a kpop idol is hard but to add demon-hunting just doubles the workload and celine likely knows the hardship of that

John's respect for Abigail in 1907-1911 makes me so happy, especially when you consider the time he is from.
He respects marriage and doesn't cheat, seen several times in rdr1. Like in rdr1 when someone tells him about the best sex workers and he says "I am a married man" or the strange man commenting "you don't care about a life stolen, but you respect the values of marriage."
And just everything he did to get Abigail back, running across countries, hunting down criminals and friends. He killed more people in rdr1 than in rdr2 just for her. And as soon as Ross hinted at Abigail being dead he pulled a gun on him, he did not care he most likely would be shot after if he pulled that trigger.

I love how we all pamper our Arthur all the time, or at least I do. I treat this man better than myself. Also- drawing gorgeous women and Arthur Morgan at the same time? This is my new hobby, pure serotonin.
