A large oak stands in front of you as your best method to reach the sky, the only tool you have for your small calculated rebellion.

You’ve been taught since birth, ‘Don’t leave the forest. As long as you remain within the woods you are safe, but  anything which goes out beyond the line of trees is his to take. ’ The lessons refer to the so called protector of your forest, a self proclaimed god, and the one you live to hate. Some have made attempts to leave over the years, to go past the tree line but none of them have returned. The people of your village believe them to be dead but you hold out hope that maybe they found something better.

You grab the first branch and haul yourself up. The first step is always the most difficult, with such a large distance between it and the forest floor. Going from there is only too easy, stepping from limb to limb as you make your rise to the top.    

Three generations of your people have resided in this place. Some call it home but to you it is nothing more than a cage. The branches creating the bars which entrap you in this life. You wish to see the open sky unobscured by the reach of the trees, so everyday you make the climb to the highest tree top you can.

Those that had made previous attempts to escape left the forest perimeter on the ground, but you take your brief moment of freedom from up high. You delight in having found a weakness in his pen, one god surely would have difficulty watching all sides of the forest, why would he even bother to check the treetops? Up here you are safe, you are free. It may seem like a pointless rebellion but to you it’s everything, reaching beyond the branches has become your way of showing that you are not complacent.

BTS Seven Princes au

In every Kingdom, there is a King, a Queen and most of the time, a Prince. In this Kingdom, there were 7 Princes. Their personalities spanned over the spectrum. Nevertheless, each of them were adored by the people.

The Musician

Eldest Prince. He taught himself to play every instrument and loves to compose his own melodies. Loves to sit by the lake in the castle’s garden and play whatever instrument that caught his attention first. Jin is someone who is easy-going, gentle and caring. The castle maids love to wake up to his new melodies. Wishes to live his days playing music rather than be King.

The Crown Prince

2nd prince. Jin has given up his seat as Crown Prince to Yoongi. He knows everything about ruling a kingdom and has the desire to be King. Since Yoongi was young, he loves to sneak into the room where his father and his people would discuss politics of the kingdom. Though he has a hard exterior and may seem unapproachable, he cares a lot for his brothers and would do anything for them.

The Philosopher

3rd Prince. He loves poetry and historical stories. His free time is always spent buried in the books of the castle’s library. Namjoon loves to sneak out of the castle to talk a walk either in the forest, the countryside or the village markets. He takes inspiration from what he sees and pens it down for his poems. Namjoon would always get asked questions because to the others, he is the most knowledgeable.

The Social Butterfly 

6th Prince. Since he was young, he has been a charming kid. He grew up to be one of the most popular Princes in the Kingdom. Girls fall for him every time he takes a stroll in the village markets. He is always hosting masquerade balls in the castle. At the same time, he is very particular about the clothes he wears and always overlooks the tailor’s work.

The Astronomer

4th Prince, same age as Namjoon. The son of the King’s second wife. He is always engrossed in the stars and the planets. Is always up at night, studying and mapping the constellations. The King had to hire a professional Astronomer to answer all of Hoseok’s questions. During the days, he’s the sunshine in the castle, always daring his brothers into challenges.

The Artist

5th Prince, same age as Taehyung. The son of the King’s second wife. Jimin loves every form of art and has a passion when it comes to painting and drawing. He loves to accompany his brothers wherever they go to draw a candid portrait of them. Jimin is considered the angel amongst the brothers and can sometimes be a pushover. They always remind him to have confidence in his artwork.

The Rebel

7th Prince. The youngest son of the King’s second wife. Being the youngest, he often gets restless when studying around his older brothers and is more interested in the physical aspects of men. He loves to challenge the castle’s knights to a duel in sword fighting and would get in trouble outside the castle walls for taking part in bar fights.
