farm life w/kate bishop 🌾 ꒱ ⋆ . ˚ 🍓 . ˚

playing with lucky in the fields. you and kate's golden retriever is undoubtedly the favorite animal on the farm (even though he technically only lives inside your home). therefore, you two love a good summer evening sitting on the back porch, drinking some iced tea and launching tennis balls out into the sunset for the dog to bring back to you. his golden fur matches the setting sun and it's also reminiscent of the glint in your girlfriend's eyes and it's in moments like those you wish you had a photographic memory, so you would never ever forget it.

kate helping you get on the horses. you two have a couple of horses who you take care of. kate loves them because horse riding was a sport she has been participating in - like many others - from a very young age. but you aren't as familiar, and once in a while, when kate wants to go for a little ride around the property on the horses with you, she teaches you the basics. if you're being honest with yourself, you don't truly listen to most of what she's saying. you usually just grin at how happy she looks when she talks about something she loves. but you do pay attention when she lifts your body up onto the horse with ease. it's so impressive and no matter how many times she puts her warm hands around you and hoists your body up, you get flustered as if it's the first.

painting her cowboy boots. whenever you feel anxious, doing something creative tends to help. specifically, propping her foot up in your lap and using paint pens or actually acrylic paints to trace lines in her cowboy boots. sometimes you will paint little flowers or hearts on them as well and being concentrated on something else whether than your worries always helps. plus, kate loves her big collection of personalized cowboy boots. she flaunts them all the time to people in town. "you like them? my girl made them, she's got artistic eye, right?!"

sitting in nature with everything you love around you. having the farm, kate, and the animals is really a dream come true for you. as a person who spent a portion of their life constantly negative and too in their mind and internal sadness to live freely, life feels so much lighter and brighter with what you have now. having adorable animals around 24/7 and taking care of them brings you so much constant joy. and having kate do the same thing by your side brings even more. so some afternoons, she'll find you laid down in the grass (sometimes with a calf or goat laid cutely next to you), relaxing. your eyes probably closed and your body soaking in the sunlight. she'll ask you what's up and you'll always respond with a "nothing, i'm just happy."
