4. What detail in [insert fic] are you really proud of?

hmm going with “i’m a wreck (without you here)” and just cause it’s relevant to my most recent update, i’ll say the whole coma dream sequence with nancy! i like to think you can read it as a spiritual connection to her and the idea that she’s going to be okay/at peace in the afterlife OR mike just dreamt it all up to give himself closure :)

15. What’s your favorite AU that you’ve written?

i’ve only ever really written one au and that’s “on the same frequency” which is also one of the most favoritest things i’ve ever written. i think it’s underrated based on the comments i’ve received—but i get it, the tags can be intimidating. honestly i think i was too cautious with the tags cause the byler big bang rules said to tag for the most potentially triggering stuff, but whatever. i promise it’s a happy ending guaranteed thing (super fluffy ending actually) and it has vibes similar to canon except that there’s no upside down and timeline wise it’s close to season 3 as far as character ages and such.

no dialogue! i would get lost if it’s only dialogue. i need to be reminded who is speaking after a while and it helps set the scene. but if it’s just no dialogue then it’s not as big a problem.

49. What are you currently working on? Share a few lines if you’re up for it!

currently working on what’s left of “i’m a wreck (without you here)”!! 😊 roughly 4 more chapters to go!! (but ch 24 is getting super long and i may have to split it lmao)

but here’s a snippet of what i wrote last night;

“Hey. You know that I am here for you, right?” El says. “I always have been and always will—just like that one song,” and then she starts singing, “Winter, spring, summer, or fall—all you have to do is call—and I’ll be th—”

Mike covers her mouth with his hand. “Okay, okay—I get it—please stop singing.” Mike drops his hand back onto his lap, and now they’re both laughing. 

“Honestly,” he says, “I still can’t believe you like singing and karaoke. ‘Cause I swear to God, I thought you hated it—or was it just my voice or something that you couldn’t stand?”

“I never said I hated singing. I like it very much actually. And also, I don’t remember thinking your voice was bad—even when we did karaoke after the funeral I thought your voice was very good…but I do remember…that whenever we used to make out back then, that you would always stop and sing along to whatever song you insisted we listen to and I just wanted to kiss you. It was so annoying.”

“Oh.”

She giggles. “Yeah. But now, I think that maybe you just didn’t want to kiss me.”

❦ SUMMARY ❦

You need a change, a big one. When your estranged grandfather passes away and bequeaths you his farm in a little town just south of the middle of nowhere, you take it as the sign you needed to make a change instead of waiting for one.

The farm, while having fallen into a state of disrepair, is just the thing to cure your modern-world ailments. The people are kind and always ready to offer help, if a bit unusual. They have old superstitions, a haunted community center, and a resident wizard. Spoiler alert: those last two on the list take some getting used to.

Yes, things are different here but you have a sneaking suspicion that the slow pace and a certain alchemical practitioner are going to remind you that sometimes, all you need is time and a little bit of magic.

Fic number tag game

Thank you to multiple Tumblr friends for tagging me, and to @sparkleplatypuswriter specifically for writing a lovely and succinct post that made participating feel less overwhelming 😂

All of my fics discussed below are for the For All Mankind fandom and — surprise, surprise — most are canon-compliant stories about my love Aleida Rosales 😂

Most hits: Turns within me, turns without me. This is a WIP fic (almost there! I’ve completed nine of ten chapters) that fills in the gaps for Aleida in between S2 and S3, focusing both on her personal life and her relationship with Margo. I have a love/hate relationship with this fic 😆 I’ve been writing it for a long time and evolved as a writer, so there are naturally parts of it (more-so in the first half of the fic) that make me cringe a bit.

Second most kudos AND third most comments: Would it have been worth it, after all. This is one of my favorite fics! It covers Aleida’s POV of, and emotional journey during, the one-month period in S4 when she’s passing notes between Margo and Sergei. I appreciate the love I’ve gotten on this one from Margo/Sergei shippers on here, especially as it’s still a very Aleida-centric story.

Fourth most bookmarks: Only two of my fics even have bookmarks 😂 So let’s go with my fic with the second most bookmarks (a grand total of one): This hunger, it isn’t you. This story is my longest non-chapter fic, and it was the BIGGEST labor of love for me; as a result, it’s my personal favorite, and I think it’s my most underappreciated fic 😂 I was inspired to write this fic after re-watching the flashback scene of the stranded Mars crew just before Dani and Ed find Danny’s body. They all looked so emaciated and weak, and I suddenly had this idea that Aleida — as someone who’s experienced food insecurity herself — would have become personally obsessed with saving the crew from starvation in the months following the JSC bombing. Of course, since I am me, the REAL story quickly became Aleida’s post-bombing mental health journey (i.e. repression of Margo related trauma) and the evolution of her relationships to work and family between S3 and S4.

Fifth most words: Fire in her eyes. My sole non-Aleida fic (okay, I did work in a reference to her). This is a Karen Baldwin POV, Karen &|/ Tracy fic that I wrote for a fandom exchange. This one was a step outside my comfort zone, but I am actually so happy with how it turned out, and glad I got the opportunity to write it!

Fic with the least words: Kept on the inside. If you ever wondered whether Aleida showed Margo her scars, this is my take — set on Aleida’s wedding day. I published this little fic as a standalone one-shot but it was originally intended to be (and eventually became) a scene in Turns within me, discussed above!

The feeling of being in a hotel again is strange. Logan is still travelling a decent amount, but he's been booking Airbnbs and crashing with friends on those occasions. Hotels always leave him feeling… Itchy.

He realizes he should probably text Oscar, tell him that he'll be mingling around in the paddock, that maybe they could find time to hang out, play padel, or whatever Oscar is into nowadays, now that he's more of a stranger than anything.

Logan kind of feels like a stranger to himself, too.

Scanning his pass and walking through the gates is all too easy, all too familiar, guided by an aspect of his muscle memory he wishes he didn't have.

It hasn't even been that long since his last race; eight months, thirty-six weeks, two hundred and fifty something days– Logan stopped counting around the one hundred and ninety mark– so he has no idea why it feels like everything should be covered in a hazy black fog.

It's not, though. Everything is startlingly vivid.

From the paddock and the placements of the hospitalities, the only thing that really feels different are the clothes he's wearing, and the positions of the teams in the pitlane.

Hell, even the way the cameras acknowledge him is the same; like he's an accessory, a handbag to be featured on the newest installment of Kym’s ‘handbags of the paddock', snuck in alongside a race car shaped bag and whatever animal clutch Lily is carrying around this week.

The way he ignores the shutters of their cameras is all the same, too.

Muscle memory leads Logan directly to the Williams hospitality.

He feels like a fucking idiot, stopping so suddenly and turning on his heel, taking avoiding action even though it is pitifully obvious where he was going originally.

RB gave him a pass for the weekend. Haas, too, but that invite is only for the race day itself, so Logan shakes himself and starts heading towards the RB hospitality.

Thankfully, it's just across the way from Williams, so maybe his blunder is a little less obvious. He's sure the photographers appreciated the shot, though.

Everybody in RB is overwhelmingly kind, welcoming Logan into the garage like he's an actual person, an actual racer, and not a faceless Barbie doll with the words ‘discontinued model’ sharpied across his body.

The mechanics talk to him about the car and the incoming upgrades, and they talk in a way that is obviously intelligent, not dumbed down or babied for the sake of making sure that Logan understands.

And talking to Liam is nice. They hadn't gotten the opportunity to race against each other again last season, a disappointment that Liam actually took the time to verbalize at the time, sending Logan a text just following the news, right after Zandvoort.

Isack is lovely too, pulling Logan into a hug like they're lifelong friends. For the first time all week, the dread in Logan's gut finally fades a little.

Logan exits the RB garage with enough courage to pop his head into Williams, peeking around, tentatively looking for someone specific.

All he finds are a few engineers– his engineers– and then Carlos standing off to the side, headset atop his head as he gestures towards a few monitors.

Logan is, unfortunately, not subtle enough to sneak in and out unnoticed, because a few of the guys spot him and call him over, toothy grins on their faces as they clasp hands with Logan, pulling him around and patting him on the back hard enough to make him wince.

Despite the bile rising in his esophagus, it's nice to feel so welcomed, to be reminded that there were at least some people rooting for him before it all went to shit.

Carlos comes up to him not too long after, headset now around his neck. They exchange pleasantries, somewhat pinched conversation about the team and how it's going. Logan swallows down the urge to ask about Alex.

Before he leaves, he wishes Carlos luck. It tastes metallic on his tongue.

Logan has already finished his food by the time Lando gets there.

He seems a little flustered, like he wasn't expecting to be eating at a burger joint, let alone a burger joint with private tables. Hell, even Logan always found it a little absurd, but you won't catch him complaining about a little extra anonymity.

Lando tosses his keys into the booth seat before climbing in. “This place does reservations?” He leans in close to say it, like it's some kind of secret.

Logan huffs. “Yeah, it's Miami, everywhere does reservations,” 

“And you paid for that?” 

“Yeah?” Logan says a bit obviously, not really understanding what Lando means by that. Like he said, the privacy is nice.

Lando doesn't seem to know what he meant either. That, or he's feeling weirdly shy right now, because he just shrugs before picking up the menu.

A few solemn seconds tick by, and the entire time it is abundantly clear that Lando is definitely not reading the menu.

He tosses it back on the table with a clatter.

“You realize I can't eat, like, any of this right?” Lando quips, a humorous sort of annoyance to his voice.

Logan shrugs. “You should try being retired,” he says, flashing a grin in his direction before stuffing another fry into his mouth.

Thankfully, it has the intended effect; Lando laughs. Genuine and shining, not one of those pr trained things that are painful and obviously just to appease the cameras. Logan is glad he hasn't lost the ability to tell the difference, even all these years later.

“How's that going, by the way? Your… Retirement, or whatever,” Lando asks, finger picking idly at the corner of the laminated menu, and his eyes search Logan's frame for a while, like he's trying to find the answer before Logan says it.

He's always been like that, quick and snappy, always craving to be one step ahead of people, guessing what they're going to say, even if they're a complete stranger– Logan supposes he isn't far from one, by now.

He shrugs, narrowly avoiding making a face down at his basket of fries. “It's fine,” it's all he says, and he feels sick at the pride that bubbles in his chest at the way Lando fidgets, obviously uncomfortable by the blunt reply.

“What did you mean ‘this place isn't my style'?” Logan asks out of the blue. It's mostly just to fill the silence, but also he did think it was a strange thing to say considering he's American and that's like, one of the only things Europeans know about Americans– they like burgers. That and guns, and freedom. But mostly burgers.

Weirdly enough, Lando seems to flush a bit at the sudden questioning.

“Uh, ‘s just that you always seemed, like… Refined, growing up. Like, more sophisticated than other Americans,” 

Logan quirks his brow. “And you based that on, what, the two other Americans you knew at the time?” He jabs playfully, a laugh tickling the edge of his words.

Lando sputters a bit. “I dunno! It was just- a vibe, okay,” he says, slowly gaining confidence (and volume) to his voice as he speaks.

They chuckle to themselves a bit longer before lapsing into silence again. This time, it's considerably more charged than before, tension obvious in the air as they both gear up to say something.

Lando starts speaking first, but Logan doesn't hear him over the sound of his own voice, and so they get stuck like that, looking at each other over the table and waiting for the other to speak first.

After a while of staring, Lando scoffs.

“You go first,” 

Logan huffs a laugh through his nose. “I was just wondering if this was you and Max trying to get me to do something,” 

Lando's brows draw together, lip quirking in a way that makes Logan want to flick him in the mouth.

“Fewtrell,” Logan specifies sharply. “Trying to get me to do something for Quadrant,” he reiterates.

“Oh,” Lando drawls out, face lighting up with understanding, before suddenly twisting into something indignant.

“No, what? Max didn't put me on this,” he continues, tone suddenly hazardous, like he's offended that Logan thought Max might be involved in this at all, even though it really isn't a far reach in the slightest. “Did you think this was just an, I dunno, negotiation thing?” He asks next, tone spitting acid.

Logan simply shakes his head, raising his eyebrows in a way that he hopes conveys innocence, honesty.

Lando relaxes a little, at that. “Okay, good. I just… I don't want you to think I just want like, content out of you, or something,” he pauses for a short second, obviously considering something.

“I mean, it would be good for Quadrant– people love you, mate, but that's not… I just want to be friends, have some drinks, not… talk business,” he accentuates the last part with a jeering sort of tone.

Logan tries not to let the shock he's feeling show on his face. For the longest time, ‘Lando Norris' and ‘friend’ never exactly fit in the same category, and it really never seemed like they would.

But, here they are, sitting in an isolated corner of some greasy burger joint just down the shore, talking to each other and bantering. When he puts it like that, it sure sounds like something that friends would do.

Logan doesn't even get to respond before Lando is talking again.

“Whatever, it doesn't matter,” his tone has taken a sudden toxic shift, like he's annoyed he had to make the specification at all. “I still owe you that drink, and you're done eating, so c'mon,” 

Logan watches Lando stand up and wipe his lap off even though he didn't eat a crumb of anything.

Lando stares at him for a while.

“I have to pay,” Logan says dumbly, pointing down to his empty plate and just waiting for the reaction.

Lando’s face flips through a million different emotions as he stands there, grimacing down at Logan, who is sat in a grungy booth seat and looking right back up at him.

Eventually, they both break, and Lando’s face finally settles on a constipated sort of glee, like he forgot that Logan was capable of having humor, that Logan could drag that kind of response out of him.

And it feels nice, giggling together like kids again.

What are your ryomina headcanons? I've loved these two since I played P3 FES, and I'm so excited to get back into the fandom^^

as for headcanons, here's a "few" i that i tend to come back to a lot! my interpretations of them are influenced from both the source material and other's fanworks, so i've linked to them as i saw fit! hcs in no particular order under the cut because oops this got long (900 word bullet point list, mentions of reload content up to 1/1)

minato's hair is dyed blue (hair originally brown, you can see it in his roots!) and he has a beauty mark on under his left eye. i like mirror imagery and there's definitely a few arts i've rb'd that portray them this way :) (e.g. this one by feliichu and this one by marasschino)

as far as i'm concerned the bathhouse scene from the manga where ryoji's hair down = similar shape to minato? that is canon to me. this art from xierru is a fun depiction of hair down ryoji :D

ryoji is homeless. everyone say thank you foxmulder_whereartthou for this awesome fic it's why i have the headcanon! but like seriously. we have no idea where ryoji lives and i could believe this.

minato dying at the end of the game is sad to an outsider's POV BUT!!! ryomina gets to be together in death for the rest of their lives (this illustration from mafuwara is a gorgeous representation of them as nyx avatar + the seal)!

speaking of the seal, they are like telepathically communicating to me in the great seal together. (mymp3 had a comic wip with this. give it a looksie :D)

ryoji likes cuddling with minato because he's warm :) (something something orpheus has fire affinity, minato is warm by extension and ryoji is cold because he's death)

ryoji's camera roll is filled with pictures of minato! ryoji... loves life, to me. and i feel that photography and journaling are perfect ways of expressing gratitude and capturing the moments in life that are most important to you :3

my other favorite activity for these two is stargazing- i feel like it's something they could appreciate either in life or death (looking at the stars from the great seal...)! they do a bit of this in the fic eurydice's vow by crescentmoontea (P5R spoilers, takes place in third sem it's a very fun fic concept).

between ryoji and minato i feel like ryoji was the one who fell in love first- and it doesn't really click in place for minato that he loves ryoji until december hits (appriser reveal + ryoji transforming into thanatos). its about the realization that ryoji was with him for his whole life and that he gets him like no one else does.

ryoji is like a sad and wet puppy who is so scared minato won't like him back. he is so scared of being rejected by minato to me like. this boy straight up deflates after he does his "i know i said i wanted us to be friends, but... i actually want to be something more." / "what about you?" on 12/1 ???

AND SPEAKING of wet puppy ryoji. ryoji is like. every animal in the world to me. he's a bird. he's a cat. etc. and also ryoji knows every language in the world ever and uses it to express his love for minato. see this fic from superheroics to see what i mean.

both of them are lactose intolerant. "this isn't lactose, it's milk!" i definitely think ryoji would make himself sick eating ice cream and milk he doesn't know what lactose is. (i made a silly poll about this once and the tags were very entertaining.)

i see minato as transmasc or nonbinary depending on the day (schrodinger's headcanons babey they're simultaneously true and not true at the same time!!). either way he's not cis to me and ryoji is like. His Gender. anyway go read this fic by nail_gun for t4t ryomina :D !

ryomina are WEIRD GUYS TO ME!!! they are so strange and they understand each other better than anyone else because of the circumstances of their relationship!!! if you asked them to do the "i wonder what i taste like" meme i think they'd start biting each other (affectionate) tbh but that's just me.

after ryoji gives minato the music box in 12/31 on reload, minato listens to the music box every night in january. this boy has insomnia and also chronic illness to me (things that housing death does to you). but i think he finds comfort in the melody and memories he made with ryoji.

in general, i think it's fun to imagine minato taking ryoji to places and show him things he's interested in! i feel that ryoji takes a lot of interest in minato's life, this isn't really a hc because in reload, minato DOES give ryoji a tour of the school (11/9) and possibly port island (11/12). but ITS CUTE OK! (tangentially related fanwork: this series of doodles from vinnigami: 1, 2, and 3)

not a hc but minato's kindness is like the backbone of their relationship and i think we would not have the ryomina we know and love today if minato wasn't such a kind soul. oh minato.... we can learn so much from you... like ryoji did!

So, today (3rd of May) marks two years since I posted the first chapter of The Perfect Storm - the first fic which I posted in the Skyrim fandom, and the first bit of fanfiction writing I had done after a few years of not writing for a multitude of reasons!

In that short amount of time, I've somehow managed to write over 116,000 words across 29 chapters - and I've mentally kicked my arse numerous times for not getting writing done, but putting that into words, realising that works out at an average of about 58k words a year? I'm so proud of myself for achieving that! That's 58k a year more than the years preceeding!

And somehow, in all those words, my beloved idiots Elyse and Balgruuf still haven't kissed, though they have absolutely messed with my plot plans and have fallen for each other already (and neither have done a thing about it beyond saying 'it will ruin things between us if I admit my feelings' ;-;).

about me

I go by space, my pronouns are they/them, and I’m in my third decade of existence, which is absolutely wild. I’ve been writing for most of it, so I like to think I’m pretty decent

I write mostly fantasy and erotica (sometimes at the same time), both original and fanfiction, and all of it's queer

I try to now. In the past, because I used to write without really being  "in" fandom or knowing anyone, I didn't realise people expected you to lol. I thought as a writer, you did your thing, someone commented if they thought it was at all worth saying anything about, and then you just went on your way like two ships passing in the night.

6. Angstiest ending?

Probably When Tomorrow Comes because the POV is tortured and beaten and dead by the end :)c I actually cried IRL when I wrote this one. Ahh, good memories! Out of my Oz fics… (squints) Dead Man Walking, maybe? Although I think it's open-ended, too, so maybe it's not that angsty. Maybe Terror Makes a Sour Meal, idk. OH. The Death of Jaime Velez. Doi.

7. Fic with the happiest ending?

You know, I write a lot of angst but there's also a ton of happy endings. I guess the happiest is probably the sweeter the sun (wedding fic) or for Oz?? It'll probably be Silver Moon's Sparkling, just because in my mind, it's basically a romcom.

8. Do you get hate?

Not on my fics (not enough readership + I am a perfect human being) but I've seen people vagueing me in fandom tags before for, idk, hyping up rarepairs and side characters too much (skill issue on their part frankly).

9. Do you write smut?

Yes :) I published my first attempt at smut (very vague frottage I think—idk, I refuse to reread it) June 2020, and have been incorrigible ever since.

10. Do you write crossovers?

Not currently, but I've played around with them in the past! My first two fanfics ever were crossovers 💀Harry Potter x Twilight, I'm sad to say.

11. Ever had a fic stolen?

Not technically, no, but I had some fics translated and posted to another site with no link back to AO3, which is not what I thought the person was going to do when they asked me. But… Oh well…

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

A couple! 6—that I know of—to Russian (TSOMD fics) and then one to Chinese (an HXH fic :))

13. Have you ever co-written a fic?

Yes… But I took myself off as an author so now it's just on their account 😂 It was from middle school and also a 4 fandom crossover event including Superwholock, soooooo…

14. All time favorite ship?

Whatever is my main hyperfixation tbh, so I'm going to say Miguel/Chico! I don't really have ults of anything in life (colors, movies, books), and that includes ships.

15. WiPs you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

The Nineteenth Year of Chenghua, my zombie apocalypse fic based on the finale cliffhanger (why did they go so hard with it, knowing there'd be no s2???) 😔

16. Writing strengths?

Dialogue? I feel like I do a decent job/have been told I write banter and other verbal exchanges pretty well. Plot, I hope, is also becoming more of a strength, where before it was a weakness.

17. Writing weaknesses?

Description is something I'm always trying to improve—and using more *descriptive* words as well. I think I get stuck in using the same vocab over and over. Reading other works helps shake me out of that pattern a bit, but I haven't been much of a fic reader in past years (I keep stepping into small fandoms lol), and poetry can only take a guy so far… This year, I've been trying to get into audiobooks to help me listen to more sentences and learn from a wider range of examples 😂

18. Thoughts on mixed language dialogue?

My takes on this are kind of changing, but for the most part, if the characters are bilingual with part of it in English, I like making the effort of researching the non-English language and placing it in, with translations through hover text. For my TSOMD fics where the language is Chinese but my story is English, I write titles and words with no English equivalent in pinyin, i.e, du-gong, da-ren, zhihui-shi, etc, instead of blanket terming them all as Your Excellency, or whatever. 

I did try a different approach with Recognition of Another when there was English and Chinese being spoken. I didn’t want to write out everything as pinyin, so for the longer sentences, I wrote it in Chinese (which is obviously gibberish to non speakers/readers) and then wrote the English in italics next to it. Still not sure about that approach… I have an Oz wip as well where it made more sense to put all the “Spanish” in Italics since there was so much of it, but there was also English I wanted to differentiate. When there is a character in the scene who doesn’t speak Spanish, I then wrote the dialogue in Spanish like for most of my fics.

What is a gift-exchange? It’s an event in which participants are given an assignment to create fanart or fanfiction for someone based on their requested prompts. Since it’s a secret-santa style event, participants must keep their gift and recipient a secret until the posting period.

How do I sign-up? You can sign-up through our Sign-up Form between September 1 - 15.

How are matches made? In the sign-up form, you will be asked to provide the details of what you’re interesting in receiving and creating, including your likes and dislikes, so that we may match you with someone with similar preferences.

※We will do our best to match people as closely as possible, but please keep in mind matches may not be perfect. You may treat this event as a chance to experiment and step a bit out of your comfort zone to make someone happy!

What are check-ins for? There will be 3 check-in forms during the creation period to ensure everyone is responsive and your gift creation is on track. 🍓 ⇢ how did you get into writing fanfiction? 

I originally found fanfiction on pinterest actually there was a link to this harry potter fanfiction on quotev of all things and I read it and fell so far down the rabbit hole i was like 11 and at first it was OC things like Harry's sister and Hermione's sister stuff like that and then I went to wattpad and read x reader things and that lead me to writing my own stuff and I was there for a bit until I got bored and hated doing it but it lated a while like years and then in 2021 I saw jegulus on tiktok during jegulus week and then got sucked in again :/ and there were like barely any jegulus fics like i remember a time where i could go like an entire day and find nothing new in the tumblr tag so i figured i needed to get to work and that was like May 2021 and haven't stopped since 🤷‍♂️

🕯️ ⇢ on a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you enjoy editing? why is that?

1 if editing has no enemies that means I'm dead I'm better with it if it's been a while since I wrote it like when I edited my big bang I actually had a good time with it which is weird since it was 80k and I did it all in a couple days like I would think that would be tedious but it wasn't it was fun... now editing normally is right after the chapter is done being written and I don't want to look at the chapter anymore but also I'm impatient and want it edited so yeah it's a 1 :/

So I'm kind of cheating a bit with my choices here I guess since I have a lot of ideas but not so many actual active WiPs. So some of these aren't actually stuff that has been posted (or not posted in fic form) but they're all what my rodent brain is rotating right now.

Bell the Cat - Ladyblanc Knight AU. Enemies to Reluctant Allies to Lovers. Plenty of angst and trauma to be had in this one!

2. Sad Machine - Not currently available. I'm attempting aiming to have the fic more or less completed before I start posting. Futurist/Cyberpunk-type AU. No Miraculous but there's a dash of vigilantism and mysterious happenings to solve. And some questionable ethics (thanks Gabe).

3. Porceline Girl - Emonette and Badrien (post Paris Special) Oneshot that I'm hoping to finish soon. They're just angsty teens trying to figure out what is love how to be around each other.

4. Kaleidoscope - (not currently a posted fic so link leads to my tumblr tag) Kwami Swap AU with a dose of amnesia! Love Square is a mess in this with a Reunioned Ghostbug trying to solve all the problems. Adrien needs a coffee and a nap. Tikki needs a drink.

5. Citrus and Lavender - Enemies to Lovers AU with Chat Noir being deceived into being on Hawk Moth's side from the very beginning. The kids need therapy and Gabriel needs jail.

There's is so much I'm looking forward to with Bell the Cat, but with the upcoming chapters I'm excited about introducing some more characters into this world! And of course all the Ladyblanc banter to be had!

2. This is my little pet project at the moment that I am slow roasting in the microwave. There are so many things that I am foaming at the mouth for that I want to just spit the fic out onto ao3 already but I'm trying to go slow with this one.

3. I'm just excited to feed myself more Toxigriffe, even if its in Adrinette form. I have so many ideas for these two but this oneshot is the closest to being finished. I'm excited to have it done (soon! hopefully!)!

4. Another one that's been slow roasting for a bit. I'll admit I'm still undecided with how I want to post this - do I go full fanfic on ao3 with it? Or a webcomic-style on tumblr? Perhaps a hybrid of both? I normally go with writing for longer stories, but this AU really got its interest and following through my random comics of it. It's exciting to think about my options as I could really challenge myself with it (even if opting for a more webcomic style is terrifying in its own way).

5. We're finally reaching the point in the story where Ladynoir are trying to transition from stalwart enemies to shy and unsure partners. All sides of the love square are standing on bambi legs right now as things are very new and scary - but at least they'll slowly learn they have each other to lean on!

4) what fandoms do you write for?

eh, currently none since I haven't yet found a new hyperfixation. But in the past I've mostly written for bnha and tokyo ghoul (on ao3)

5) do you respond to comments? why or why not?

I try my best to answer, yes! I'm terrible at doing so in a timely manner tho (this just reminded me I have some I have yet to reply to, damn). as for why, well, not that long ago I was a reader who was self-conscious about my english and always apologized for it when I found the courage to comment, so... I guess that stuck with me and I want to show my appreciation to the people who find that courage too

6) what's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

it has to be my MCD hidekane fic ("How to save a life". I know, I know, misleading title). I don't really do MCD or tragic endings so that fic is an outlier

7) what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I... actually have no idea! Pretty much all my fics except the one above have hopeful endings cause I don't like writing stories about pure despair with no resolution. But idk if anything I wrote classifies as a happy ending, per se. I'll have to turn this question back to my readers and let them decide!

8) do you get hate on fics?

thankfully not. I only did once on a tokyo ghoul fanfic but it was clear that person hadn't read a single word and just wanted to hate on the pairing I was writing for. I deleted it without giving it any weight. I got plenty of hate mail for my meta tho if that counts lol

9) do you write smut?

nope. I never felt any interest in it, tho I know it can be a fun way to explore a character or a dynamic, much like any other genre

10) do you write crossovers?

nope

11) have you ever had a fic stolen?

yes. It was a gaara songfic of all things. It wasn't even one of my best stories so idk why someone decided to repost it. Thankfully the mods took it down in a timely manner

12) have you ever had a fic translated?

yeah! I wish they'd given me links so I could link back to their translations, but I have been asked permission to before and it was a huge honor for me! and I know this wasn't part of the question but I have translated fanfics too :') proud to spread the love

13) have you ever cowritten a fic before?

yep! With my cousin, back in our naruto days. It was a crackfic based on real events that we found absurd enough to put our favorite blorbos through for the lolz. It was fun because the concept itself was stupid and I got along well with the other writer, but I found that co-writing isn't really for me. I prefer the creative freedom of working alone better, if that makes sense

14) what's your all time favorite ship?

Good question. I think I have to answer dabihawks here purely because it had a chokehold on me for so long (seven years, jeez. my fixations usually last two). But truth be told, it hasn't had that same pull on me since I don't feel compelled about Hawks anymore. But through these characters I explored so many themes and things about myself that I still feel a bit attached to it. Tho all that's left now is a mix of nostalgia and disappointment for all the loose ends I wish the series had addressed about their respective arcs that make me click on fic updates occasionally

15) what's the wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I currently have no wips! The well of my writing creativity has been dry for years now, and I miss it. Painfully so. But idk if it's coming back to me anytime soon. It seems hard right now, what with having no active fandoms I want to read fanfic for, let alone write it, but I guess never say never?

16) what are your writing strengths?

mmh, I wanna say introspections cause that's what draws me to writing in the first place, but idk if other people would agree that's my strength. I have the most fun with that, though. Dissecting the way a character thinks / experiences the world and their relationships is my favorite part of writing so it takes up a big portion of my stories

17) what are your writing weaknesses?

Descriptions. I know I suck at them, and I know I don't include them as much as I should, but I just. hhhhh. I subconsciously zone out when I read them so I guess I tend to avoid them as a writer by extension. I did collabs with artists in the past and one thing that came up frequently was that I didn't describe the setting in a lot of detail, or that I didn't focus on stuff like clothing / appearance. Which can be okay if the scene is static and focuses on emotions, I guess, but it was a problem whenever I had to write fight scenes. I want to get better at it at some point!

18) thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

technically I already have since english is not my first language, haha. but as a language nerd I think that could be fun. It's never come up before tho since I haven't written any multiethnic or bilingual character yet

19) first fandom you wrote for?

Technically my very first was Card captor Sakura when I was a middle schooler, lmao. First fic posted, though? Naruto

20) favourite fic you've ever written?

I had to really ponder this because I have recency bias, but I admit my favorite is actually Stitches. It's not my most popular work by a long shot, but it's the one that comes closest to what my original writing style was like! When I shifted to english and ao3, my style changed a lot. It used to be a lot more introspective and full of purple prose, haha. I think I managed to tone down the latter over the years and refine my skill at writing dialogue, and I think Stitches is the work that best shows that growth while still staying true to my beginning :') Other than that, I'm attached to it because of the themes I explored in it, as well as the Touya and Rei dynamic, which is dear to me!

The pipeline from sweet apple to sour lemon?

HEHEHEHEHE Anon I am very happy that you asked about it ! Congratulations, you chose the wip that I am currently working on :D

Full disclosure, the idea for this wip was inspired by two one-shots that I obsessed over around the same time :

I'm a little bit terrified by tagging the authors since I haven't asked for permission to post work inspired by what they did yet, but I don't want to do anything in their back jnezjnejnez so :

Hi ! If you see that, you both have had wonderful ideas that inspired me to write something that is becoming a massive project of mine ! I am talking about it because I got asked about my wips, but if you're not okay with me posting the actual fic, I'd be fine keeping it to myself :)

In both these fics, Legend, Twilight and Wind know each other from the adventure they shared during Triforce heroes, except when they're brought together for Linked Universe, Twilight and Wind don't recognize Legend. He changed too much, he lost too many people and is now unrecognizable from the kid that he was during Triforce heroes.

In And there are ten, though, there's a twist : A tenth hero arrives, and... It's this younger version of Legend, that Wind and Twilight of course recognize this time !

Basically, this wip takes the scenario from And there are ten, but with the background story from Hiding behind Plaster and Ceramics : no one stayed in Legend's life and he is traumatized by partings, so he decides to be cold and rude with the others in order not to get attached and not suffer when they inevitably have to separate.

Except, after a few weeks of travelling, a new portal appear, and Apple, a younger version of himself, comes out of it... And obviously, this time, Twilight and Wind recognizes him, and everyone is protective of him since he's the youngest one here, and though Legend decided himself that he'd be mean on purpose so that no one cares about him, the comparison between how they act towards Apple and towards him makes him very bitter.

You can guess, with how I talked about liking to write about healing and stuff, that it's going to get worse before it gets better.

This was supposed to be a little something that I wrote for myself, just because I craved more for these ideas, and then I talked about it to @sweeteastart, and... They were so invested ? Like full-on asking me questions and if they could read it and stuff, and I just realized, yeah, it's starting to become a good story, I should try to flesh it out !

Oh, and it's also their fault that this wip has this title lmao, they kept calling Legend sour, and mixed with Apple's nickname... You get it !

WIP Word Train Game

My word was HOPE, which is something that I apparently do not allow when writing fic (iykyk), but this'll be fun!

H- Chapter 4 of my reincarnation AU "Do you think we meet in every lifetime? (Yes and I'd look for you every time)", 1489 edition! (I'd link the fic but AO3 is currently down :( )

His hands are covered in ink by the time he’s done, but he doesn’t mind, his fingers have already been stained since the day he began his apprenticeship. So he just wipes them on his apron to get the thickest, wettest parts of the ink off so he can handle the pages without getting smudges on them.

 He’s just finished handing the last of the pages, and was observing the ink as it dried, as he hears the neigh of a horse, and the door to the shop open.

 Boris rushes out, not wanting to make the nobleman wait, only to be stopped in his tracks, mesmerized by the vision of who he assumes is Duke Oneiros.

 The man, as pale as snow, looked comically out of place, clothed as if he were mourning, in a rich velvet Boris would only be able to describe as the very color of the ink he printed with. Hair chopped neatly around his shoulders, he observes his surroundings, gaze finally landing on the apprentice, a small smile tugging at the edge of his lips.

O- From my 5+1 spideypoolverine fic, a plot idea that I got from @gravesidepickup's Tumblr post! (Also couldn't resist establishing some Spideypool)

“Oh god don’t say that!” He coughs through his mouthful. Trying not to spit chewed up cinnamon sugar donut out onto the ground below to splat on the forehead of some junkie wandering around at this hour of the night.

 “What?” Pool asks, feigning ignorance with the widest grin visible from how he’s pulled up his mask. “I like cream donuts, is that a crime now, Spidey? You’re the ones who got them, so I can only assume you’re the one who likes cream filled donut holes!” He extends a bitten, half eaten, oozing treat towards him, trying to get him to eat it.

 Peter pushes him away, laughing, some of the cream filling falls from it being squeezed a bit too hard, splatting down onto the concrete between the two, and it makes both of them laugh even harder.

P- From my smutty trans!Will Hannigram wip, which I am writing as an apology for my last Hannibal fics

Pushing him against the nearest wall, he crashes his lips against Will’s before he’s even able to protest, the kiss is biting, everything Will wanted as Hannibal’s leg slips between Will’s, putting delicious pressure against him. They part for air, and Hannibal’s mouth descends to his neck, Will tilts his head back, groaning as Hannibal bites him.

 Hannibal soon lifts him, hands on the backs of Will’s thighs, who wraps his legs around Hannibal’s waist, chuckling as he’s carried further into the house.

 “What’s gotten into you?” He asks, feigning cluelessness as he’s deposited unceremoniously on their bed.

 “Don’t act like you don’t know,” Hannibal replies, voice merely a rasp as he removes Will’s coat, tossing it aside and quickly moving to lift his turtleneck over his head, leaving Will shirtless. He shivers at the chill seeping into his bones, uncaring as he knows he’ll be warmed up rather quickly.

 “Do I?” He grins, laying back on the bed, looking up at Hannibal with his bottom lip in between his teeth, anticipating his pants to be removed, for him to be flipped onto his stomach, and for Hannibal to take him roughly, however he pleases. Exactly what Will has been craving.

E- From my very self-indulgent spidersona/canon fic, my spidey Umbra Arcane meeting Deadpool:

Emphasis on try.

 “Right,” They reply, not exactly convinced. Deadpool tries to move again, they web his other foot down, it almost takes him off his balance, he spreads his arms out to regain it, wobbling back and forth.

“Woah!” Deadpool chuckles, regaining his balance, looking down at the webs before back up at Umbra. “Nice reflexes there, you do this to everyone you meet?”

 “Only the potentially stabby ones” They say, cautiously observing Deadpool. After all, he still has two guns, two swords strapped to his back and two very free arms.

 Deadpool gasps exaggeratedly, it’s mocking, he puts his chest out and places a hand over it. “Me? Stab you? I would never!”

 Umbra tilts their head, under the mask, they raise a disbelieving eyebrow. “Yeah, okay.. Who hired your ass? Let me guess, Kingpin? He surely has the bucks for that…” They circle around the mercenary tentatively, with their guard up, vigilant just in case Deadpool decides to pull a funny one on them.
