Some lil apollomes doodles i made in between studies based on this one fic; In Apollo’s Healing Chair cus its so good it felt like the author was fucking me w a chainsaw but in a good way yknow. You guys should read it!

Very big warning, the fic covers a lot abt Rape. not on Apollo and Hermes but it’s heavily discussed throughout the fic, so if thats not your thing, I recommend you not to read it!

Anyway, I think what I love most abt the fic is how intimacy plays out between Apollo and Hermes! The way their banter plays out and yet they’re so gentle w each other, especially Apollo, it’s my favourite!! Their dynamic feels so casual yet deep I feel like I need to give them a room. The way Hermes’ character is written is my favourite too! The way he uses humor to cope w his problems, yet still crumbled when he’s not able to wit his way to his emotions, LOVE IT! Kudos to the author, definitely one of my fav fics of all time!

Just woke up and need to get out all my thoughts on the Backyard Sports trailer before I go to work

First of all. THAT'S MY BOY!!! MY SON!! I popped off so hard when I saw him. I LOVE that they aren't trying to "modernise" the game by any means (cus that worked so well for them last time /s) and are retaining the early 2000s feel that makes the OG games so beloved

KENNY!! MY OTHER SON!! I love that they used his hair and eyes from the atari design. Probably the best thing they could have done with him.

KIESHA!!! She's so silly. This might be nitpicky but I'm a lil unsure about them making her hair more pointy than round if that makes sense. But it's not a huge deal she still looks great!

The inclusion of the old character sprites was really cute, good way of showing some characters that didn't appear physically. (Ernie was also in that one promo image but still) (I wish Sally could have appeared in the trailer as herself but I'll take this)

Look I'm not saying this is my doing by any means, but it's pretty coincidental that, like immediately after I join the fandom, it gets a revival. And since I've joined I've been imaging what it would be like if they made another game in the series. Has Apollo given me the gift of the prophecy? /j

I'm very excited for this omg. I got hyperfixated on the series from watching one of my favourite streamers (Therm) play it and never actually played the games myself (I can't emulate the old ones currently cus I don't have a working PC), so I'm excited to be able to play them. I am actually looking at getting a PC very soon so maybe I'll actually play a bit of Baseball 97' or 2001 before then.

Also the music from the trailer is gonna be stuck in my head all day now I know it.

Last thing, I WILL be making art to celebrate the occasion, but I'm gonna be pretty busy this week with work, so it might take me a few days. I can probably find some doodles to post in the meantime, and I'm still working on a ton of aged up AU designs so expect more of them soon.

Sugilite

Likely related heavily to the concept of greed or extravagance.

I think he will be related / a follower / has ties with Oroboros [the Voracity]. He will likely be introduced in a planet or arc where we get to see more or understand more of the Voracity. If you search it up, it’s one of the Aeons we have the least information on. No known factions, associated planets, even NPC followers.

I think I read somewhere the purple candles we can see on his table are related to the Voracity too.

Plus it would relate to all the food and coins he has. The Voracity is known for being a devourer of planets. However, this seems pretty contradicting the point of the Preservation.

Finally, in Jade’s Moment Among the Stars, we see her with Sugilite’s cornerstone. I’m not sure why there are barely any people talking about this, it wasn’t even subtle, she just straight up had it. And we know Jade deals with a lot of greedy people and is also linked with the concept of greed. Perhaps Sugilite owes her something or made a deal with her about something a while back.

As for the meaning of his gemstone [cus each Stoneheart seems to represent something from their gem— Aventurine meaning luck, topaz meaning love, etc]— I searched it up, but it seems to mean things like love or worry free. I definitely don’t think he will represent love. However, we can think deeper into the meaning of “worry free”. Perhaps he’s a very nonchalant or non caring person, hence the free of worries. We’ll have to see, though.

Sapphire

I have a lot to say about him surprisingly.

Just a random note, he wasn’t present in the meeting as we can see in the beginning frames and the way Pearl spoke and voted for him. Probably busy with another planet.

His theme is definitely loyalty. I can say that with 96% confidence. If yo search directly “gemstone that represents loyalty”, it pops up “sapphire” in large letters, and he was the one who voted against Aventurine as he adhered to oaths.

We can also see he uses griffins/gryphons however you want to spell it as his symbol. Griffins literally symbolize loyalty as well and are known to be very loyal animals.

It seems he may also have lots of ties with Greek mythology. Aside from the obvious of griffins being from Greek mythology itself, sapphires also come from the Greek word sappheiros and were often used in Greek mythology or associated with the Greek god Apollo.

I saw some theories that he may be / formerly a knight/ knight of beauty. Some people also pointed out they saw many Greek mythology inspirations in Argenti’s design. It is definitely a valid theory.

Obsidian

Obsidian is probably a vampire. When we see her, there is a mirror in front of her bathtub that has no reflection, and it is a quite common superstition that vampires could not be seen reflected in mirrors. She also has noticeably pale skin and lots of drinking blood motifs [though it is just pomegranate juice]

There is somewhere I read in hsr of a vampire who like.. became immortal or something after she drank a bunch of people’s blood?? This essentially confirms the existence of vampires within the Hsr universe, so it isn’t unreasonable for obsidian to be, well, a vampire.

I dug around for the symbolism and meaning of obsidian, but the most consistent I could find was truth. A website did say “it symbolizes truth in all its forms, both the good and the ugly”. That is pretty interesting, but there’s not enough information to see anything else.

Amber

Amber, alongside Pearl is one of the only organic gemstones in the Stonehearts. Qlipoth is literally known as the “amber lord”. In the end frame, where we see still pictures of every Stoneheart moving by, it seems as if it is in order of rank [lowest to highest]. However, despite being one of the only organic gems and literally being called “Amber”, she is the lowest rank.

My theory is Amber is one of the least “corrupted” or more righteous members of the Stonehearts [like Topaz]. But as we can see there’s a lot of “corruption” in the IPC rn [hope I worded that correctly], which I just essentially mean people going against the ideals of the preservation [oswaldo im looking at you]. So it would be very ironic that the most genuine member is the lowest ranked because of all the greed and power and money-hungry workers of the IPC.

Pearl

Like I mentioned, Pearl is the other organic gemstone. This is pretty ironic since she is an Intellitron. I think HSR purposefully tried to make her existence very ironic. For example, not only is she an organic gemstone, she is basically one of the only people to show empathy to Aventurine, saying he deserved more justice in his life.

For her personality, she will probably be a nice and empathetic person, just to highlight the irony between her species and her personality further.

Agate

I don’t have a lot to say about them honestly— despite being lower on the ranks while Obsidian seems to be much higher, Agate probably is friends, or at least closer, with Obsidian.

The little red dude we saw when Agate was mentioned, I doubt is actually Agate themself, and more a symbolism of them [like Sapphire’s griffin].

Opal

I don’t have a lot to say about him either. He seems like a Pepeshi though. Or perhaps another short species. It would make sense if he was a Pepeshi too, his hat would cover the fluff ball perfectly. And not only with the short height, he shares the other qualities of Pepeshi, like having an adult voice.

Mac has long brown hair that kinda looks like Persephones hairdo pre-underworld, yellow and white based clothes, two green eyes, and oh yeah white wings, all weapons kinda float on her back. Very nice, kind, and sweet. More of Hallyday, joyous, flowers and rainbow vibe game

Mac is trapped on the mortal world, raised by Persephone, because that curse is like the opposite for her, she can't live in the underworld, lives in Persephones old farm

Trained by Chiron, taking Skelemesus(how do you spell??) Role. Also Triptolemus is here, mortal turned God by Demeter during Persephones disappearance, and Cyrene, amazing Hunter and Shepherd princess/queen turned Naiad, lover of Apollo and Ares too

Plot: The Primordal gods and Titans are awaking, aka they were all, mostly, asleep before this and will wake up and choose violence

Mainly Gaia, who's upset about the Titan things. The Olympians can't help cause they gotta deal with Typhon, so Mac gets help from minor gods and some Titans- Hebe, fun cus, Asclepius, bless his soul, Triton, nervous cus, Iris, gossip girl/hermes job, Nike, probably challenges you like Nem in Hades 2, Tyche, the IDK, Eros, seductive but is married(put shoulerd guards because of THE INCIDENT), Psyche, distant, loss vibe, but a sweetheart, Aeolus, laying down on a couch looking cloud, baby girl, Prometheus, holds tourch thats all I ask for, Themis, blindfold looking straight at you with hands on sword in the ground, stoic.... probably others, comment below

For Nyx kids this time around, basically everyone's who left, but primarily Phil(Philotes) Friendship Incarnate, the bestie who's like Hypnos, never met him though, she doesn't hang out with her other family, except Hemera! Also here, like the opposite Nyx, kinda duh Day Incarnate, also you wake Aither, Light Incarnate, same vibe as giddy Hypnos kinda. But then gets the worst Nyx kids, Oizys, Distress Incarnate, pessimism pro, Momus, Satire Incarnate, ridicules you for everything, the worse, more annoying Hypnos greeter, Dolos and Apate, Fraud and Deceit Incarnate, makes your job harder and kills you half the time, Geras, grumpy old man, anddddd Achlys, Misery Incarnate, who I make Nyx AND Erebus kid because the Chaos and Nyx kid might be too weird... also Asleep Primordal... but awakes, very much like Charon, they are best friends, enemies, and closest siblings, both taught by Erebus and hisses/growls to speak, also will kill you UNLESSS you offer her stuff, dumb enough to fight Charon... but he's also dumb enough to fight her so...

Also Erebus is here, who I like to say is all their dad because I love him, defiantly loving father who's been denied fatherhood too many times

Wake during the fight with Tartarus, who also wakes. They have beef. Fought each other and put eachother to sleep, on the day Eris was born, when the Twins were barely a year old(the order is different for reasons). Basically Erebus is gonna visist his entire family, also favors Charon because he's the first kid who he could ACTUALLY RAISE- looks at Hemera, Aither, and the Fates- let's not talk about Moros, Nemesis, Geras, Phil, Hypnos, Than, Eris, and Momus

Also others you awake- Oceanus, Pontus, Ananke, Astreaus, Uranus(maybe), Gaia, and other primordals/Titans prob, comment below for ideas

Other characters: Hippolytus, hates his dad(Theseus) loves Artemis(as in a Motherly figure/best friend, depending on how you see em) also loves his actually mom, Jason and Perseus hanging out together(congrats if ya got that reference), Atalanta, challenge you in everything and likes to berate Jason, Hippolyta, hates her Ex loves her son, Otrera, person you fight because why not?, Keto(Ceto) goddess of Sea Monsters, person you fight because I want that design, Midas, like takes Charons job for most of the game, also Pasithea, with children, help her get to Hypnos, others I don't know GIVE IDEAS

Weapons: main Scythe, because yes, at one point gets dual Swords, one is Aspect of Erebus, because yes, throwing knives, Aspect of Oizys, idk feels right, some type of spear thing, Aspect of Iris and Nike for those, whip? Aspect of Megeara because I'm funny, shields, either Aspect of Heracles or Achlys, and one for Perseus and Athena, mirror shield plus Medusa head one, Hammer/Mace, a Hypnos Ascpet it's funny guys, probably Momus too, and I don't know... that's all I got

For Romance options, I feel like Phil because she's very like Mac, Oizys for that Nemesis/Melinoe type, maybe an Iris one? She shows up in person eventually after you get her fountain, and if you wanna be REALLY funny, Meg or Than depending what ya chose for the first game

Finally, you get a big quest known as Phil's Tea Party, basically everytime you god a minor god or Nyx kid to join her Tea Party, at the end get the whole family, please, Phil loves her family despite them not loving her

I *hate* that Apollo wasn’t able to really use his ability at all in both aa5 and aa6 😭 cus like, 1. It makes both of the prosecutors just assholes (especially Blackquill cus what do you *mean* it’s cheating but Athena’s isn’t???) I think a good way for them to combat it was just have Apollo and Athena deal with different types of lies, so they both get to use their abilities but *no* they have to completely take it away 😅

Sorry that’s just one part that especially frustrated me. Especially cus I really liked using perceive and it just doesn’t work as well outside of the courtroom.

THE DOUBLE STANDARD WITH ATHENA AND APOLLO ALWAYS GOT ME. i can understand blackquill being biased but idk. it just wasnt fun. i love perceive, the mechanic is simple but its got such a good atmosphere to it, i can never get sick of it. it's also very fun narratively having that ability to pick apart someones mannerisms and catch them in a lie. perceiving isn't evidence sure but its a good way to push you in the right direction and is a good way of acknowledging how you must also take a persons behavior into account beyond just the cold hard facts. having to work around different types of lies or various tricks wouldve been great. but no. they just delete the mechanic. buh bye! and its so frustrating. id love to see how the game designers and writers could work out tricks of wordplay or characters who try hiding their ticks, etc etc etc. eliminating the mechanic feels lazy

(In coming rant about Kristoph and how much I like him and a common criticism I see about him that I think is unfair, so warning cus I’m pretty passionate about Kristoph)

One thing I see a lot is people complaining that it “only” took one testimony to defeat him, but I think that has to more to do with that he *has* to take one testimony, since by him being himself, we wouldn’t be able to take down his testimony via normal means, and usually multiple testimonies means we found some sort of contradiction in the previous testimony that needs clarification, which won’t happen with Kristoph. Kristoph is scary as a villain since we *had* to work around the “system” in order to defeat him since he knows the system inside and out, that’s like his entire thing. So, no I don’t think that’s a very valid criticism of Kristoph, even if from a gameplay perspective it makes him “underwhelming.”

The last case of the game is basically Phoenix doing *everything* in his power to trigger Kristoph’s “igniter” as much as possible. He chose Apollo and Klavier as the defense and Prosecution very purposefully, those are the two people most connected to Kristoph and even if Kristoph didn’t think it, the most able to get under his skin(Apollo being able to ground Klavier when Kristoph tries to manipulate him also) His protégé and Brother, coming at him from both sides. The Jury system and it being made by Phoenix Wright was the final nail. Phoenix didn’t want there to be *any* chance Kristoph could get off scoff free after the trail. The whole thing was designed to break Kristoph from the ground up. And really the star of that trail isn’t the cross examination of Kristoph but his breakdown and the MASON system.

Supranumit „Cel mai tare care n-a fost”, Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) era un fenomen cu perspectivă promițătoare în anii 1990 până când un accident aproape i-a distrus cariera. 30 de ani mai târziu, acesta lucrează ca șofer de curse private când este abordat cu o nouă propunere de către fostul său partener Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), proprietar al unei echipe de Formula 1® pe cale de a intra în faliment. Ruben îl convinge pe Sonny să revină în competitie pentru o ultimă încercare de a salva echipa și de a demonstra că poate fi cel mai bun din lume. Va conduce alături de Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), debutantul tupeist al echipei. Odată ce motoarele încep a fi turate, problemele trecutului încep să îl nelinisteasca pe Sonny, colegul său devine cea mai mare concurenţă, iar obstacolele nu pot fi depășite fără ajutor.

Distribuția este plină de actori de top ca Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia și Javier Bardem. Joseph Kosinski („Top Gun: Maverick”) regizează după un scenariu de Ehren Kruger. Producătorul executiv este Daniel Lupi. Alături de Kosinski au mai lucrat directorul de imagine Claudio Miranda, designerii de producție Mark Tildesley și Ben Munro, editor Stephen Mirrione, designer de costume Julian Day, directorul de casting Lucy Bevan și compozitor Hans Zimmer.
