y'all. iron infusions are amazing. my iron stores went from six to over a hundred and twenty. I am definitely not 100% (who with a chronic illness is, lol) but oh my god, I feel like a person again😭😭

unfortunately cheezers head tilt is most likely permanent (shout out to my vet for not giving him dexamethasone the minute it started) but other than that he is eating drinking playing normally and hasn't lost any weight. idk how long I have w him since he's literally almost 3 but I'll cherish every moment. here is a pic of him begging for boba tea

I just don't understand what a dexamethasone suppression test is worth if i won't get enough sleep because i need to wake up early so I'm stressed the day before so i can't fall asleep and i'm stressed about seeing doctors and having to perform well medically / prove i'm worth fixing and i'm scared of the results and i know they're gonna stab me several times because they can't find my veins and then the blood drawing itself will be painful too because it always is so that makes me stressed and i tend to freak out at these places so knowing i will most likely freak out causes stress too. and then. this just might. make my cortisol go up. which the dexamethasone is supposed to suppress, can anybody explain to me how this works

I'm so tired of climbing up the same hill over and over and over.

Over the past ten months I've been either flaring, sick 6+ times, injured and in a sling, or dealing with a major dip downward in my depression. I JUST got on the right depression adjunct med and now it's an intractable migraine, 6 days and counting.

I just want a (relative) break! I just want to get some stamina again! I just want to enjoy the outdoors in spring! I want to be in a place where I can attempt to get back into a regular exercise plan! I just want to be able to grow my small businesses or at least keep them going!

Instead, I keep getting knocked down. I keep having to climb back up the same stupid hill.

Anyway re: this migraine, my neurologist finally called back and sent in a dexamethazone taper pack to knock it out, but like...what's the next one going to be? What's going to knock me back down the hill this time?

Anyway, it really helps to know you guys are on the same hill, up and down, even though I wish none of us were here 🖤🥄

So when you get chemotherapy, you get a bunch of meds to take beforehand. Large doses of Benadryl (antihistamine), Zofran(nausea), pepcid(nausea+a different antihistamine), and a steroid. Chemo will make the body freak without it. I guess the body knows it's essentially being poisoned 😫 my pre-meds are all IV now because the first round I felt like i was going to die with the pills... anways...

The benadryl kicks in first and I get real sleepy for like an hour and then the steroid kicks in and I'm wired for the rest of the day 😆

Used the energy productively at least, though, and cleaned up my room really well. There's stuff that still needs to be done, but the worst of it is taken care of. If I'm gonna be stuck at home for 2 months, I'm not dealing with doom piles lol

Fingers crossed that Tuesdays continue to be good energy days thanks to the steroids. Make that my cleaning day I guess
