Designed by Neave Brown, this housing complex provides a unique glimpse into the social and architectural landscape of 1970s London. Far from a typical residential area, Alexandra Road offers an experience—an urban landscape that challenges and engages visitors. During the summer of 2024, I visited London twice, and one of my goals for both trips was to explore some of the city’s impressive brutalist architecture. Having been to the Barbican many times before, I sought out new architectural wonders to discover. The Alexandra Road Estate emerged as one of the most fascinating places I found during my research. Erró‘s giant mural ftrc.blog/parque-das-nacoes/ Lisbon's eastern edge was once a landscape of factories and industry. But that all changed when the vibrant Parque das Nações burst onto the scene! This formerly industrial area was completely transformed for the 1998 World Fair – also known as Expo '98, and some locals still call it by that name. Today, it's a spectacular district of elegant, stylish architecture – a nod to the past with nods to the future. I was there for a few days in May 2022 for a design conference and decided to use my free time to explore everything Parque das Nações offers. Here, I will share some tips so you can enjoy this part of Lisbon as much as I did. by ftrc

Daily Journal Entry (06/30/25)

It was a day to remember! Tho I am writing this on july 1st as I fell asleep last night lmao BWHHAHAAHHH Ill put the highest highlights on the very end!!!!! Cuz honestly, it was what I yearn the most of. So to start with, when I woke up, I immediately prepared things, I grab breakfast and tend to myself, I lit made sure that I look good, I even kept asking nice and james if I look good and that if its much better if I tuck my polo in which yes is much better. I went out around 11ish, I arrived at bangkerohan by 11:50 and waited for Bryl at Mcdo, and honestly, it was nice catching up with him, but our catch up at this time were only minimal or surface level for the meantime, we also tried to wait for other SST peeps by FTRC ladder but since it was hot in there, we decided to stay inside mcdo instead despite not ordering anything. And in there, ever so slowly, Ive met SST peeps, Golden, Trisha, Velley, Ate Cynelen, Renz, Shareece also and I guess I meet with Kane now, we had few chikas here and there, I gave short debriefing for those who asked about my past and ofc answered to whoever would ask who my crush is BWHAHAHAHAH and as I catch up with my peers, I also met Aa, and BWHSHAHAH yes later as it was the highlight. And since Bryl still has errands to take care of, mainly requirements, he went to UM first and I have then went together with Trisha, Shareece and Ate Shym going inside UM via taxi and BWHSHAHAH it was nerve wracking going inside. We were able to go through without much of a problem tho so its good, and while otw, shareece gave me a brief rundown about what happened between her love life which ill tell later when it's all complete. When we went to auditorium, theres barely no one that I knew of huhuhuhu, only familiar faces. Thankfully franco was there, so we talked abit, tho it was more of academically, bout internship, research and whatnot. Then Bryl finally came, and I guess I finally got noticed by Montreal, we werent that close back then but I knew him by face, so we talked abit about acads too, their challenges, bryl also shared some tips here and there. And finally the event started which was good but also bad in a way that theres only few ppl around BWHSHAHAH like literally the only 4th year is Bryl, ate cynelen, shareece, velley, Norman, and trisha BWHSHAHAHA plus there were barely any 2nd year BEHSAHAH tho I was already told theres barely any at all huhuhuhu. Then Francis arrived, we finally got to see each other again after a really long time, while the event was on going, I actually told them about what happened on me, how I got used and cheated and BWHSHAHA I guess it really was a severe case where they cant even believe it happened to me, and me out of all people lmao. Like if they were in my shoes, they already gave up long ago or that they already resorted to violence BWHSHAHAAH. Oh and the event was okayish, it was more of commemoration anyways, it was fun seeing them having a blast with org stuffs really. Then shareece also talked about how they broke up with Jane and her tendencies. And basically Jane is a toxic kind with cognitive dissonance. Tho Shareece had fun and enjoyed their time for the most part, but she had to let go a whole lot of things just to keep her happy, like literally, from writing, even on acads, and since Jane would get upset whenever she can't understand or get something leading to shareece sometimes doing her acads instead of teaching her stuff. Now Jane is also the one who have talked shit about physical features of shareece, like bro come on. Aside from that, Jane does not respect their collaborative decision, like for instance, when they decided to break up and tell everyone about it at the specific date but the very next day or lots of ppl already knew they broke up like bro the hell?
