DRAKARTH CONSERVATORY for Arcane Excellence and the Drakarth Archival Preservation Society (called the Archive for short) are technically one and the same. The Archive came first, with the Conservatory built next to it by arcane researchers who wanted to mold from each generation an upper echelon of societal perfection: soldiers, politicians, researchers to lead the charge into every new era. Drakarth, crowned by its star arete student and its globally-recognized faculty, stands as an institution to strength that, if you can survive it, guarantees a successful life.
Key phrase: if you can survive it. Not all is well here, and the people who uphold Drakarth's ideals would do just about anything to keep their secrets buried.
Be careful, now, and don't follow the moths.
STRUCTURE & EDUCATION.
Honor, virtue, reason and might are the four tenets of what Drakarth sees as excellence. Each class attends three years of school: the honing year, the building year, and the trial year. The honing year is spent on basic training, though its true purpose is weeding out those with outstanding potential from the crowd. During finals at the end of the year, all of the freshmen are pulled solo, in pairs, or in threes for individualized Surprise Tests made to test their weaknesses and push them to their limits. These can be anything: 1v1 tournaments, grueling survival challenges, written exams, dungeon delves... the list goes on.
By the end of year one, less than ten percent (80-100) of the students pass their trials and continue on. The rest are shunted into Drakarth's sister schools and outer universities for lower-intensity studies. The ones who pass are called CENTURIONS, and even if they don't graduate top of their class, the title in itself is incredibly prestigious.
Year two, the building year, is spent exploring what makes each student special. Their advisors craft and constantly adjust custom curriculums that balance the student's strengths and weaknesses within the four tenets.
It's supposed to be individualized, that is. The academic system fails so many young people, and Drakarth is not only no exception to this, but a stunningly cruel example of it. (hiii jupiter.) Some of the students who are rejected, or who drop out mid-year, are literally never seen again by their peers. No clue where they went, no contact, nothing. No one seems to think this is weird. They just couldn't cut it, you know.
Third year: tournament arc! Students spend their time fine-tuning the skills they have built over the last two years and training for a schoolwide capstone tournament after finals. These serve as a display of Drakarth's newest exceptional stock to interested parties: military, government, scientific agencies, like sports recruiters coming to games.
Being top of the class each year is a high enough honor in itself. At least, from an outside point of view. Those in the school, the faculty and staff, and the attached families know the truth: there is one particular honor that everyone is chasing.
There is an opportunity every year for someone to be awarded the title of ARETE. For the last two decades, that opportunity has come and gone: the Conservatory and Archive staff simply haven't seen a student who exemplifies the four tenets at an outstanding, better-than-perfect level.
That doesn't stop every student from shooting for it, though.
Drakarth's arete is treated somewhere between a political hero and a messiah. They become the face of the Conservatory and, to an extent, the country it resides in. They attend conferences and war meetings, make speeches to young hopefuls, fight in wars — essentially, they go where the society needs someone to look up to.
LAYOUT.
The Conservatory itself is built from a set of old stone buildings, their architecture Gothic with a twist of occasional surrealism and a focus on open space. At the entryway, flags bear the school crest: two eagles locked in combat in front of a crossed pen and sword, framed by the area's native wild roses. The eagles represent might, the pen represents reason, the sword represents honor, and the roses represent virtue.
The ballroom, where public-facing functions and schoolwide formals take place, resembles a modified cathedral without pews. Along the back wall, where altars may sit, the leftmost refreshment table bears stacks of wine glasses filled with red, white and bubbly varieties. The center table is adorned with savory hors d'oeuvres, and the rightmost table shows off sweets and pastries of many types: tiny cakes, croissants and canele and cups of custard, spiced honey cake and filled buns, and more. The food and drink items seem to replenish themselves.
The Archive, directly adjacent to the ballroom, is two floors high and three floors deep. The ground floor acts as a public library for basic arcane knowledge. The second floor acts as the Conservatory’s private library and study space. Underground levels are for artifact storage and Archive property that is only accessible with a research permit and an approved written request detailing what exactly will be used or studied.
There is definitely not an ancienty secret society involved. There is no eldritch deity of forbidden knowledge sealed under the Archive. Don't follow the moths.
The school training grounds take up about a football field's worth of outdoor space, different sections of the field set up for different types of training. A large dirt square provides space for hand-to-hand combat; dummies of different materials provide resistance to elemental damage for spellthrowing; one entire half of the field is for sports rather than combat. Things do get mixed up sometimes.
This field is also cleared out when it comes time for end-of-year trials, challenges that test the might, honor and knowledge of each year's students. Most don't make it out of them alive. That's just how things are. The trials with the most fanfare are Tournaments, which are the capstone of Drakarth's graduating class. The students are placed in small groups and pitted against what is essentially a public dungeon crawl. Those who succeed receive a magical artifact and graduate from the Conservatory, some with honors and some simply good at surviving.
And, of course, there's the college town. Drakarth is out in the countryside, but establishments, homes and businesses have been built around it over the centuries as many alumni and their families end up teaching after they graduate. Favored by Conservatory students is CODA, a lounge that transitions from a cafe to a classy bar in the evenings.

εγλ 2030.XXXX — something always feels slightly off here. was that poster always like that? were those lights always pink? was i wearing green today? must just be my imagination. i'm tired. that's all.
εγλ 2031.XXXX — this city... it's comforting in a way. the walls provide safety. the shops are open more often than the ones i'm used to. all it takes is a memory and they can make a meal i had when i was four. sure, there's some places we're not allowed to go to — but that's a small sacrifice. we make that choice to live happy. to live free. the overseer is nice, they say i have potential. they see a spark in my eyes.. weird, i thought the look in my eyes had gone dead. guess not.
εγλ 2032.XXXX — i like it here. i do. there are no surprises here. no restrictions. i've been allowed to return back home to visit the world i knew. she said i died. but that it's okay to return, it'll be like i never did. apparently the world keeps moving when i'm not there. like it's a version of my world where i lived and i'm replacing them. she said i can't go back too often, couple visits a month are okay.
εγλ 2035.XXXX — i'm starting to not miss my home now.
εγλ 2047.XXXX — this city is my home. i like it here.
εγλ 2568.XXXX — the overseer said i earned my place, now. her right hand. i like that a lot... yeah. i'm happy here. so will these new guys, once they wake up in their pods. is this what it was like for the overseer? when she watched me thaw out? it's exciting... i don't remember wearing green today. guess i'm feeling tired from the work load.

THE TRAGEDY OF THE FUJIHARA
BRANCH FAMILY
Tumblr media
The Single Shot Snake
ㅤFujihara Ayame is the great granddaughter of Yukiko; her father, Asahi, son of Fuyu, took up the passion that her great grandmother had for the sea. Unlike her older brothers, she held a wild passion for the sea. While Daisuke took control of the Sapphire Serpent and Kotetsu took the throne of Janoshima, Ayame was relatively left to her own devices. Thus, she began to teach herself how to survive- how to shoot a flintlock, how to create her own bullets, and how to create gunpowder. By the age of sixteen, Ayame had become a gifted sharpshooter, and left Janoshima to explore.
ㅤShe ran into Gol D. Roger at Loguetown, where- after mentioning that she was looking for a crew to join and offer her skills to- he offered her the position to be his Gunner, despite Rayleigh’s initial disapproval. She gained the moniker of the Single Shot Snake due to her odd ability to only need one shot to take out her enemy almost every time.
ㅤHere, she met her future husband, Yusuke, who was acting as a carpenter for the crew. It took a little over two years for the two to fall for one another, but once they fell- they both fell hard. Within the year, Ayame not only marries Yusuke ( officiated by Roger himself ), but became pregnant with her first child. She refused to back down, however; she remained active on the ship and within fights.
The First Born
ㅤTheir first child was a girl, Mai, born seven months after Kiyomi and Kiyoko. She was born shortly after midnight; the labor was easy, surprisingly so for a first child. The next morning, Mai is brought out on deck by Yusuke and Ayame. Shanks loudly declares himself her older brother. Rayleigh asks if this makes him a grandfather, to which Ayame replies that yes- he and Roger are both grandparents now, purely joking- though Roger seems positively delighted with the concept. Buggy asks why Mai looks all squished.
The Son
ㅤAyame and Yusuke have their second son, much to the enjoyment of the crew. Jun’Ichi was born, weighing 8 lbs, and came into the world yelling. He was born while they were in the Grand Line, shortly after Roger discovered his illness. Mai is four years old when he is born.
ㅤTwo years after his birth, the Roger Pirates and the Whitebeard Pirates enter into a battle that lasts three days before it ends with a peace treaty between the two crews. During the battle, Mai and Jun;Ichi were held below deck, where they would have been safe.
The Twins
ㅤAyame and Yusuke then have a pair of twins a year after the battle ended, a girl named Itsuki and a boy named Izumi, the final children born while they were actively part of the Roger Pirates. Together, the Roger Pirates continue their travels, until Roger makes the difficult decision to request that they port in Janoshima. For the first time in fourteen years, the Fujihara siblings are together. At this time, Mai is eight years old, Jun’Ichi is four, and the twins are two.
ㅤShortly before they ported, Daisuke and Daiyu had also made port. They celebrated with the Roger pirates for two days before the Roger pirates left- leaving Ayame, Yusuke, and their two children behind. It was a bitter parting; Ayame cried openly while Roger held her close, promising to see her again. Rayleigh teased her about being too soft, now.
“Is that any way for the Single Shot Snake to be acting? We’ll see each other once more. You aren’t done sailing. You’re just taking a break. You’ll both be back on these waters, soon- maybe even with your own ship and crew. Wouldn’t that be something? I think I could be proud if I got to see that, one day.” -Silvers Rayleigh’s parting words to Ayame and Yusuke.
“You listen to me, Yus. Take care of her, alright? She’s the mother of your kids, now, and she’ll kill you if you ever try to act up. I’ve known her longer than you. She’s like my kid. And you- stay out of trouble. I’ll see you soon, out on the Blue again.” -Gol D. Roger’s parting words to Ayame and Yusuke.
ㅤFor the next eleven months, the family is whole once more- giving Daiyū time to rest, to gather herself. Ayame acted as the mother figure for the children during this time- with Yusuke acting as a father figure. She didn’t mind; she could see that the stress of motherhood was affecting Daiyu in a clearly negative manner. There were several conversations during this time period, including whether or not the children should simply remain in Janoshima for their own safety. Daisuke would hear nothing of it.
ㅤAnd then, one evening, a conversation occurs between Ayame and Daiyu. Their husbands had both been on the porch while the women remained inside; Ayame watched as Mizuki attempted to play with Itsuki and Izumi. The conversation went as follows:
ㅤ“I’m almost jealous of you, you know.” Ayame murmured in a purely playful tone, sipping her tea as Daiyu froze.
ㅤ“Of course you would be,” Daiyu sniffed, turning her nose up. “Look at you- wasting away on this island. Tell me,” the woman turned, watching as Itsuki and Izumi colored. “Are they truly his children?”
ㅤ“I beg your pardon?”
ㅤ“Oh, come off it. I saw the way you looked at Roger,” she sneered, setting her cup down. “And Rayleigh, at that. How many times did you whore yourself out to them?”
ㅤIt happened quickly; one moment, Ayame was sitting in stunned silence at the way her sister in law had spoken, and the next, her gun was drawn, the muzzle of her flintlock pressed between her brows. “Get off of my island.”
“Daisuke!”
“YUSUKE!”
ㅤDaisuke and Yusuke both entered to find the women. Daisuke, Daiyu, and his children left the very next morning before dawn.
ㅤAfter a month, Kotetsu passed away due to complications from his illness. Ayame ascended to the throne and promptly became the Empress of Janoshima. She did not hear from her other brother, nor did he send any reparations for their brother’s passing.
ㅤShe didn't know that, in four and a half years, she would be witnessing the execution of her Captain.
Child, not of Mine Own
ㅤFujihara Mizuki was kidnapped by three men who mutinied against Daisuke. When word had come to them across the Denden, Ayame hadn’t believed it at first. Five years with no word from her brother, only to be alerted that his daughter had been kidnapped.
ㅤThey returned to Janoshima once more a month after Suma was born, after being invited back by Ayame and Yusuke. It was a tense initial meeting; Daisuke attempted to insinuate that he should be the one on the throne before Ayame reminded him that the throne was in Janoshima, not upon his ship.
ㅤShe was a frail baby, underweight and shrieking at all hours. Daiyū, at her wits end, attempted to kill her own daughter before Yusuke and Ayame intervened, stopping her. Ayame took Suma in as her own, afterwards. Daisuke argued at first before Ayame threatened to simply keep all of his children if he could not care for them and his crazed wife.
ㅤHe relented.
The Birth of the Golden Age
ㅤTwo months later, the family traveled to Loguetown to witness the execution of Gol D. Roger and the birth of the Golden Age of Piracy. As the reigning Empress, Ayame had been invited to witness this death. She watched from afar without her children; she refused to bring them out of fear for their safety- and that her two eldest didn’t need to see the man they’d come to fondly speak of be killed. She watched with her brother’s family, and left immediately after to avoid being caught in the chaos his words caused.
ㅤUpon returning, Ayame settled easily into her role as Empress; Kotetsu had taught her everything she would need to know to take over. Yusuke would take over teaching Mai and Jun’Ichi skills they would need to survive.
ㅤAt age twelve, Mai would begin joining Yusuke on excursions to the islands that curved around the main island of Janoshima. Due to how large the island chain was, it would take two hours to sail from the port at the head of the island to one of the outer islands. During these excursions, Yusuke would teach Mai how to navigate by using the position of the sun, how to handle a small vessel when it was only one person aboard, and how to dock offshore. Jun’Ichi, age eight, begins to join them.
Additional Child
ㅤThe next year, Suma would celebrate her first birthday. There would be no word sent from Daiyu or Daisuke; Suma was treated as a princess, and seen as the daughter of Ayame and Yusuke. The celebration lasted for two days and two nights. She had survived her first year.
ㅤMai, thirteen, has become adept at being a marskwoman. She speaks about wanting to go out on her own, one day. She has her tongue surgically split. The process is much more pleasant than what Kiyomi and Kiyoko go through, and is celebrated. The healing process, while difficult, was well worth it in her opinion.
ㅤJun’Ichi celebrates his eighth birthday by concussing himself via falling face first into the steps leading down from the main house. The alarm is loud, and while he enjoys the forehead scar he gets from this, Ayame is certain she had a heart attack. Suma takes her first running steps at the same time, running out onto the porch and trying to run down the stairs before Mai caught her. Suma begins calling Mai “Mi-mi”.
ㅤShe refers to Ayame and Yusuke as Mama and Baba. She does not know Daisuke or Daiyu, something that Ayame will always be grateful for. Suma is simply another one of her children.
ㅤThe next year, Janoshima is rocked by a powerful hurricane typhoon that rips through the island chain, stripping the outlying islands of their trees. The reconstruction will take over a year to fix the cities and smaller villages. Ayame would leave the throne to help the citizens to the best of her ability, helping to repair the docks and houses. She is heralded as the saving grace of Janoshima due to her aid.
ㅤLuckily, they lost no lives. Unluckily, the typhoon struck on the twins’ seventh birthdays.
The Final Child
ㅤAyame and Yusuke announce their pregnancy with their last child, who would come to be named Kai.
ㅤIn March of that year, Mai has her first accidental run-in with the Whitebeard Pirates. She meets the man himself, who had come to Janoshima to speak with Ayame. He offered to protect the island. The conversation goes as follows:
ㅤ“You know how large my fleet is, now, and how it continues to grow.”
ㅤ“I’m aware. But you are aware you’re speaking to an Empress, no?”
ㅤ“I am.”
ㅤ“Then get off my island. I can protect it well enough by myself- something you are well aware of. How’s that old scar treating you?”
ㅤ“Feels just like a snake’s biting my arm right now!”
ㅤMai confides in her father that she wants to join Whitebeard, who overhears. He tells her that he doesn’t normally allow women on his crew- but for her? If she can prove to him in three years that she’s anything like her mother was, she’ll get a spot. But not before then. Mai, delighted, yells from the edge of the dock as he departs that she’ll train to join him, she promises!
ㅤIn November, Kai is born. Healthy, and happy. The island celebrates for five days straight with festivals, fireworks, and feasts. Ayame is happy, content. She and Yusuke have a big, happy family. What more could they ask for?
Tearful Departing
ㅤDaisuke and Daiyu would return when Suma was seven. This would be the first time she met her parents, whom she did not like, as well as her older siblings. She took to Junpei and Mizuki quickly, but confided in Mai that Kiyomi and Kiyoko scared her. They were mean, and they stared.
ㅤThis resulted in Mai punching Kiyomi when she asked why Kai was so ugly. Kiyomi, in retaliation, drew her blade, but had a warning shot fired by Mai that nearly clipped her foot. Mai reminded Kiyomi that this is not her island, this is not her home, and she would be respectful to the prince- and to Suma.
ㅤSuma had spent her life with her family, the ones she was truly close to, but Daisuke and Daiyu refused to allow her to remain. She is brought onto the Sapphire Serpent by her parents. She learns she is leaving with them, which causes her to completely melt down, crying and asking why she can’t stay with Ayame and Yusuke. Daisuke replies that she cannot stay because she is not their child. Suma attempts to jump off the ship; Milorad catches her, though Daisuke and Daiyu made no move to help. It is a tearful goodbye on all parts, with Mai and Jun’Ichi promising to see her again soon. Ayame spends five minutes holding Suma, telling her how much she loves her, and that she will always be her daughter.
ㅤThe next year, Mai, aged eighteen, leaves the island with the blessing of her mother and father to pursue her own life with a tearful goodbye. She promises to be safe, before taking a personal ship and sailing to the island where Whitebeard had last been seen. There, she undergoes a challenge; three days later, Fujihara Mai is accepted into the First Division of the Whitebeard Pirates as their sharpshooter. Her bounty rises from four thousand to five hundred thousand due to her new alliance. She is given the name “Serpent Shooter”.
ㅤJun’Ichi leaves the year following Mai. He vanishes after six months. No one knows where he lands.
Akainu
ㅤIt happens on a quiet Monday morning. Ayame had Kai, age seven, sitting on her lap while he tried to braid grass. Itsuki and Izumi were further down in the courtyard when the sounds of distant canonfire caught her attention. She handed Kai off to Itsuki before running to the docks, where she spots her husband’s ship being destroyed by a Marine vessel. Ayame watches, helplessly, as Yusuke abandons ship and begins to swim to shore. He makes it to the beach as she continues to scream for him, only for Akainu to follow him-
ㅤAnd plunge his fist through the center of Yusuke’s abdomen.
ㅤThe silence that settles is loud; Akainu claims that Yusuke had attacked first ( he had not ), and that he had no choice. Ayame pushed her children behind herself as Akainu approached, only for Kai to run down the dock screaming “PLEASE DON’T KILL MY MOMMY! PLEASE DON’T KILL MY MOMMY!” It’s unknown why Akainu stopped- if it was due to seeing a seven year old sobbing and begging for the life of his mother, to see how Ayame was willing to sacrifice herself for her family, or some other reason-
ㅤBut Ayame was spared, with a warning: To never set sail upon the seas again.
ㅤThe next day, she, along with her children, begin to repair her vessel: the Vermilion Viper.
Death of a Snake
ㅤOn October 16th, the following year, Ayame receives word via denden from one of her brother’s men that Mizuki had slaughtered Daisuke and Daiyu in their sleep. She does not cry.
ㅤAt the end of the year, Ayame makes the decision to leave Janoshima, taking Itsuki and Izumi, as well as a crew twenty strong. Kiyomi docks the Sapphire Serpent in Janoshima, where Ayame and Kiyoko meet.
ㅤThere, Kiyoko reveals her fears of Mizuki. She can no longer trust her, or Kiyomi; they were the two that plotted the death of Daisuke. ( A lie, though Ayame didn’t know this at the time ). Ayame agrees to allowed Kiyoko to take the throne in her absence.
ㅤAyame sees Suma for the first time in years; it’s a tearful reunion, where Suma reveals to Ayame what had been done. Ayame informs Suma of Yusuke’s death; they visit his grave together, where Suma promises to one day leave Kiyomi’s crew- when she’s able to, when it’s safe. Ayame agrees.
ㅤThe Vermilion Viper and Sapphire Serpent departed from the Royal Port of Janoshima on January 1st, though they split ways three hours into the voyage: Ayame ventured North, Kiyomi ventured South. In the three years leading up to the events of canon, Ayame traveled with her children through the Grand Line and into the North Sea, where they made contact not once, but twice with the Heart Pirates- the first time, coming to the unintentional aid of the submarine, and the second- with that being paid in kind.
ㅤAt some point, Ayame was offered the position of a Warlord. She declined.
ㅤAs of the beginning of canon, Itsuki and Izumi have departed the Vermilion Viper and began to sail with Kiyomi to watch her. Kai begins to work on an unknown mission. Ayame begins to make decisions that will later affect everyone.

Tag game🎉
Tag your moots and ask them where they got the idea for their tumblr accounts name!
For my name it was a nickname I was giving back in middleschool! One of our teacher had a system where we worked with 'wifi' eachtime we talked in class we lost a bar of the "wifi" (was a weird joke and we never held count on that) All the kids usually joked if they needed 'wifi' , they would borrow mine if they wanted to talk more. (I was incredibly shy in middle school, I only talked to like 3 people at school;^;)
They called me Ms. Wifi because of that. I just thought it would be funny if I put 'miss' instead of 'ms' because of my terrible actual wifi connection I have at home lol.
That's my story! Now moots, only if you guys want to, tell us your story.

During this Live we learned that ghasts:
Are biological creatures
that they have infant forms (that appear to have external gills like salamanders)
that they rely on water for their life cycle to complete
that, related to #3, they like chomping on snowballs
that they're neutral and even friendly when not dehydrated like a frog in summer
In addition to the points in the graphic:
Flat faces with the eyes at the front, like many amphibians
smooth skin
mouth that looks tiny until opened (have you seen an axolotl or caecilian with its mouth open?)
fireballs may be analogous to skin and saliva-based weapons in amphibians
has zero mercy
cannot aim at all
makes sounds quite like the axolotl when you think about it
operates on 1.5-2 brain cells at all times
... We may be able to conclude that ghasts are amphibians.
If we look at this phylogenetically, then we may be able to speculate that ghasts are highly derived (specialized) temnospondyls, which are huge prehistoric amphibians who were like 25% mouth.

THE TRAGEDY OF THE FUJIHARA
Main Family
Tumblr media
The Son of the Serpent
ㅤFujihara Daisuke is the great grandson of Yukiko; his father, Asahi, son of Fuyu, took up the passion that his great grandmother had for the sea. Once Daisuke was old enough, he took control of the ancestral ship that Yukiko had built and sailed upon: the Sapphire Serpent, a large, long galleon designed to look almost serpentine. While his younger sister, Ayame, left to explore on her own- winding up on an infamous pirate crew when she was eighteen as a skilled sharpshooter. Kotetsu remained home; the middle child, the duty-bound son. He sat upon the throne, the Emperor of Janoshima. He was kind; a gently-spoken man who saw the good in people. A docile, sleeping boa, as he was described.
ㅤDaisuke himself was notorious, known as the Son of the Serpent due to a twisting tattoo of a snake that began on the left side of his neck and coiled down the length of his body, the tail ending on the inside of his right ankle. His bounty was two hundred million at the time of his death, but before he died, he’d made a lasting impression upon his children- for better or worse. Daiyū was his bride, a woman of minor nobility who had set her eyes upon Daisuke and decided that yes, she was to be his bride.
ㅤDaiyū was blinded by ambition; she was never cut out to be a mother, never having had a nurturing bone in her body. After their passing, Ayame has mentioned that Daisuke hadn't been cruel before Daiyū entered his life. She stripped every bit of kindness from him, creating the monster that attacked his own children and thought himself a God amongst men.
How terribly wrong he had been. Or perhaps he was right, for even mighty Kronos was defeated by his own children.
The Twins
ㅤHis first born were a pair of identical twins: Kiyomi born three minutes and twenty seven seconds before Kiyoko. His pride and joy, twin girls who bore the same birthmarks that he himself had: a dot beneath either eye. They came with the crew while traveling the seas. The trouble came, however, with Daiyū, and that lack of maternal love. She refused to breastfeed, refused to hold her daughters for longer than necessary. Instead, the ship's seamstress, Milorad, took care of them when Daisuke was busy with his captain duties.
The Son
ㅤThree years later came Junpei, the first and only son born to Daiyū and Daisuke. He was a strong baby, with a strong pair of lungs. Daisuke caught Daiyū at one point holding her hand over his mouth to try and cease his crying.
ㅤHe took him from her, and cared for him himself.
The Problem Child
ㅤThree years pass. Daisuke's bounty now sits at one million Berries. Daiyū, pregnant once more, delivers Mizuki two weeks early. Mizuki is born silent; they fear she was stillborn before she drew in a large breath and screamed so loud, Milorad swears all of the East Blue could hear her. Junpei complained, asked why she was screaming so much, to which Daisuke replied that she simply had a lot to say.
ㅤ No one has ever spoken of how Daiyū fell into a manic state after giving birth and threatened to throw Mizuki overboard, for she saw a serpent's gaze within her child.
ㅤThey ported in Janoshima for a year, giving Daiyū time to calm, to rest- and for the children to meet their cousins.
The Princess
ㅤAyame had been separated from her brothers for fourteen years, having joined Gol D. Roger's Crew under the moniker of
the Single-Shot Snake. She held a now-legendary talent for taking out her targets with one shot- perfectly aimed and planned. She met her husband, Yusuke, while with the crew; they married a year after, when she was just turning twenty. Together, over the years, she had had four children, as well; Mai was a year younger than Kiyomi and Kiyoko, only five. Jun'Ichi was three and a half, and the twins, Itsuki and Izumi, were just under a year old. However, she admitted that Roger had told her to go home- to live her life with the treasure she now had, both literally and figuratively. She agreed, and parted ways after a large celebration with the crew, and returned to Janoshima. It worked well, since Kotetsu's health was rapidly declining. Someone would need to be there for him.
ㅤShe didn't know that, in four and a half years, she would be witnessing the execution of her Captain.
Dangers of a Clutch
ㅤAfter a year away from the sea, Daisuke returned to the water with his family. Unlike Mizuki's siblings, she was wild from the moment she could walk- or, rather, run. She was brought onto the Sapphire Serpent, spending her infancy and early childhood in the care of the Crew rather than her parents, who claimed that they had no time to deal with a baby. More often than not, Kiyomi and Kiyoko would be the ones watching over Junpei and Mizuki. By the time she was five, Daiyū was pregnant with what would be her final child.
ㅤThe pregnancy was difficult, more so than any of her others. Her health took a toll; she became frail, feverish. For the first time, the Fujihara had a weak point. Exactly at nine months pregnant, tragedy struck the ship.
ㅤFujihara Mizuki was kidnapped by three men who mutinied against Daisuke.
ㅤFor three weeks, Mizuki was kept in a shack on an island, well hidden- until one day, Junpei stumbled upon her in the shack while the other members of the crew fought. He carried her out, screaming for help. Mizuki was shell shocked; silent, eyes wide. She did not speak for the next six months. The relief of having Mizuki returned triggered Daiyū into labor-
ㅤIn which she nearly lost her life.
The Spider in the Snake Den
ㅤThey returned to Janoshima once more a month after Suma was born. She was a frail baby, underweight and shrieking at all hours.
ㅤAt age thirteen, Kiyomi and Kiyoko were given a choice: a normal birthday celebration, or to enter into the Fujihara as official members. This confused them- they were already members of the Fujihara, why would they need to be officiated? Daiyū cooed that they needed to show their pride and their loyalty to the family. They agreed- and thus, the first tongue splitting occurred.
ㅤJunpei and Milorad cared for the girls while their tongues healed. Milorad was disgusted with Daiyū, though they dared not show it. This was not the last time; Junpei, Mizuki, and Suma each went through the same procedure on their birthday, albeit against their will.
ㅤIt's no wonder why Mizuki turned out the way she did.
ㅤSuma would return to the ship when she was seven years old, having been raised with Ayame's own children. Ayame trained both her and Mai in the art of sharpshooting. Suma was a natural, picking it up with ease. Even at seven years old, she had better aim with a gun than any of her siblings. Daisuke brought her on board, and her life of comfort- of being treated as a princess- vanished.
ㅤDaisuke was no longer a loving father. He was cold, cruel; treating his children as if they were merely members of his crew and not his flesh and blood. Over the next six years, the children would harden and change. Abuse of different forms, their lives placed on the line, and the struggle of living on a ship molded them.
The Death of a Serpent
ㅤWhen Mizuki was eighteen, everything changed. Daisuke and Daiyū had branded them all, quite literally. The letter ‘P’ on the back of their left wrists, labeling them as Pirates so that they could never turn on him. Daisuke had grown paranoid over the years, a madness whispered to him by Daiyū's own paranoia.
ㅤTwo nights after her eighteenth birthday, Mizuki snuck into the bedroom of her parents. Kiyomi had told her that something needed to be done- they were in danger. And Mizuki took it upon herself to take care of this problem- by climbing into bed silently, straddling her father's chest, and driving a knife into his head and chest twenty-four times. Daiyū had woken in the midst of it, had tried to run, but Mizuki acted faster. She trained with the crew, she was strong, fast, could contort her body due to an unnatural level of flexibility and strength. She took hold of an ivory statue Daiyū had on her nightstand- and slammed it into her temple, the bone crumbling beneath the blow. She died instantly.
ㅤBelow them, Kiyoko had held Suma against herself, whispering to her that everything was fine. Covered her ears with her hands and rocked her, trying to block out the horrifying, animalistic screaming that was coming from Mizuki as she let loose upon their parents.
Changing Tides
ㅤKiyomi took charge of the ship, afterwards. Half of the crew left at the next port, declaring Kiyomi as a traitor- mutiny, they stated. She killed three of the loudest men, slit their throats with the legendary blade, Mamushi. She herself had already become a known, notorious pirate and Swordsman- Lady Mamushi, with a bounty of five hundred thousand. It took one month before Junpei had had enough. He had Suma, had packed her bag- before Kiyoko had found them. The altercation went as follows:
“Now, what are you planning on doing, brother dearest?”
“Kiyoko-... You know what happened. You know it's wrong-”
“Wrong? I don't know what you mean. Look at us- we're finally the ones in charge! How is that wrong?”
“... I'm going to take the lifeboat, and Suma, and we are leaving.”
“I can't let you do that.”
“Kiyo, don't-”
“KIYOMI, HE'S TAKING SUMA!”
ㅤWhat followed was Kiyomi forcing Junpei off the ship to swim to he mile to port. Suma remained on the ship- thirteen years old, tongue and wrist still healing, watching as her escape swam away with tears in his eyes mirroring her own.
ㅤThree months later, Mizuki and Kiyomo get into a fight that ends with Mamushi pressed to Mizuki's throat and the promise of spilled blood singing in the air. Mizuki jumped ship; Kiyomi would then drop Kiyoko at Janoshima to take the Throne that had been left empty after Ayame returned to the sea ( with the promise of Kiyoko taking over ).
ㅤAyame's own children had split over the years. Itsuki and Izumi joined Kiyomi when she made port at Janoshima, joining her crew. Jun'Ichi had vanished when he was sixteen, off to find his own adventure. Mai had left five years ago to join Whitebeard's Crew under the First Division as a Sharpshooter. Kai sailed with Ayame and her crew on the Vermillion Viper, someplace in the West Blue.
ㅤShortly after leaving, Mizuki takes on the name of the Deadman's Daughter and her bounty rises from a mere few thousand to encroaching on two million after stealing the Hebi Hebi no Mi Model: Viper fruit from a Marine ship- and then downing the ship.
ㅤOne year before the forming of the Straw Hats, Mizuki joins the ranks of the Buggy Pirates, quickly securing herself as a member of the crew.
ㅤSuma became known as the Little Spider; the youngest of her siblings, a slippery little thing. She had grown into herself well, her talents as a Sharpshooter extended further into other explosives. Gunpowder packed boxes that when thrown, she would shoot, causing an explosion mid-air that stunned and sent shrapnel spiraling. It was when she turned eighteen that she and Kiyomi got into an altercation that left Kiyomi chumming the water-
ㅤand shoving her overboard.
ㅤSuma managed to just barely escape, swimming to shore with her two bags. In one, a map; in another, gold and money she'd stolen from the ship. For three years, Suma wandered on her own from place to place, buying passage via labor on merchant or smaller pirate ships, offering her skills to those who needed them. Repairing the ratlines with her odd knack for Weaving, manning cannons.
ㅤShe runs into trouble at Nanohana, where she attempts to pickpocket a blonde man who had fallen under charm rather quickly, only to get caught by a green haired man- and then pulled onto their ship while they escaped from the Marines. She learns their names: Rorornoa Zoro, Blackleg Sanji, Nami, Nefertari Vivi, Usopp, Tony Tony Chopper, and Monkey D. Luffy-
ㅤthe Straw Hat Pirates.

Seeing a lot of people saying they don't want AZ to give you his Floette just so the player can have the Eternal Flower form, but honestly given that he's immortal I think they can just do what they did with Cognita/Enamorous in PLA. like during the endgame he just goes "oh btw Floette wants to hang out for a little bit, do you mind watching over her for like 80 years? I'll pick her up at your funeral"
