grian tips his head to look at scar when he's guided to do so, gaze tracing the lines of scar's grin before hooking into his eyes. he lets out a soft laugh, a "scar, this is not how i can guard" ready on his tongue, but scar's words are faster, stripping him of any admonishment, replacing it with a vague sense of nervous awe.

scar is right. they might be the first ones.

the cluster of twinkling stars, a chaotic nebula that seems to dissipate into small glowing sparks, is named the Vex Flame. according to scar, "some say it will cast its light on those who seek out a better life! a good omen! a sign of great triumph!"

"i like that. i... like that that's the first one we named." and then, after a second, grian repeats the name, sounding it out on his tongue: "the vex flame. a good omen." he tips his head, resting it against scar's jaw, eyes still cast upwards. "you think it guides lost souls home...? like the northern star."

once again thinking about limes very quick descent into madness surrounding the time when he realizes he might like mochi after the first night he spends cuddling with her. always love the slow start of "Okay she's kinda cute I guess. She has cute tendencies sometimes. There, you happy? I admitted it. Now leave me alone." which in the span of about 3 days RAPIDLY spills into being unable to think about anything else to the point he can barely hold a conversation with anyone because his mind keeps daydreaming back to holding her in his arms. All day feeling like "I can still feel her warmth on me..." and has to keep being snapped back to reality by everyone around him

he can barely even talk to mochi because he keeps thinking about it. has no idea what to say to her the next day. is very quiet. and mochi thinks hes mad/uncomfortable with her now, since hes always so standoffish to girls at school she thinks she might be in that category now. so the next night while lime is about to go to bed, STILL THINKING ABOUT IT, and he gets a text from her that reads something like: [Hey lime!! about last night- sorry i fell asleep on you!! i know your not super comfortable with that stuff!! it wont happen again!! 🙇‍♀️ see you tomorrow!] and he feels his heart drop to his fucking stomach. lays there reading it back over and over with his thoughts a mix of "Yeah I guess that makes sense, it happened by accident. It was never gonna be a repetitive thing." vs "Won't happen again...? Like....ever? Are you fucking kidding me? I never get that ever again?"

eventually after an hour of tossing and turning, thinks up some bullshit excuse to sneak over to her house and climb up over her little bedroom balcony, knocks on her window and says something like "Hey uhhh you forgot one of your socks over at my place so I brought it back." or something that is absolutely stupid and could've definitely waited for the next day. manages to weasel his way into crawling into her bed with her because every bone in his body is telling him to.

Only once it happens that I want to defend TS from baseless criticism and they turn out to be true?!

She, just like many A-list celebrities now or in the past went to US Open final. And the US Open social media, like any social media posted about it. All Grand Slams do this, post individually when they spot someone very important and also do a collection post with the famous spectators. But of course I knew that many people with hurt feelings will suddenly hate this only because of TS and say stuff like 'stay with tennis USO account' 'don't make the whole thing about her' etc. And I wanted to tell them off by saying that this is normal with famous audience, and one individual and one collection post is nothing, went to the account to see how often they post about celebrities and I see SEVEN individual posts about her already?!😭😭 (versus FOUR posts about the final itself???)

Ok but THIS!

Nothing convinced me of the goodness of humanity quite like walking around in a cosplay or fantasy/historical outfit and seeing just how many of those "old judgy people" actually light up at the sight of someone wearing horns and full body paint!

Yes some people make stupid comments and/or give you unmistakeble "oh god you're crazy" glances, but the absolute JOY of the 50-something woman that talked to me about sewing and historical clothing on the train ride to an event?? She didn't even BLINK when i explained that I'm wearing typically male clothing for that period because I'm more comfortable with that as a trans person, she just asked about the tunic length and commented how today that garment would be interpreted as more feminine???

My friends and I used to do this thing where we'd dress up on a theme and go do something totally normal.

We dressed up as pirates and went bowling.

We dressed as vikings and went to the grocery store. The security guard told us we had to move our longship because it was illegally parked.

We dressed as Romans and went to Blockbuster. The staff chanted, "toga! Toga! Toga!" at us.

We dressed up all steampunk and went to the museum. Tourists kept taking our picture.
