Chan

His hand was delicately around your waist, pulling you close, and your hand was cupped, laid delicately on his.

He mouthed a "ready" before the music started and then gently guided you through every twirl and step of the way.

His comforting and confident gaze observed you, gentle.

He was firm but delicate and surprisingly capable.

However, this was not an effortless skill of his.

What he'd never confess, was that he had spent nights practicing it by himself or with a more than unwilling Jeongin in order to help you and lead you through the dances perfectly.

Lee Know

"Always look your dame in the eyes, especially when bowing!" The teacher shouted.

"That's because neckline can be very exposing and you, as gentlemen, should never have wandering eyes... going down"

Minho smirked and said "I'll watch you in the eyes when I bow but if you're twirling, I will be starting at my property".

"Don't call my butt your property!" You're protested, positioning yourself as usual.

Minho took your right hand in his left and the other one, that was supposed to be on your waist, fell "accidentally" on your ass.

As he gave a squeeze, before pulling it up after a glare from the teacher, he replied: "Why not?"

Changbin

Changbin was intimidated, to say the least.

As he stepped in the room, he found himself surrounded by tall guys all around him and he got self conscious.

It didn't take long, though, for him to get comfortable as the other guys kept stumbling over their own feet and roughly pulling their dames along.

Changbin, kn the other hand, cradled you sweetly, mindful of his strength.

Being inn his arms... it felt like home.

Hyunjin

Hyunjin thought it was going to be romantic.

It was not

Three hours if repeating the same sequence over and over again for hundreds of time was driving him crazy.

It was supposed to be relaxed and precise, with a neutral expression on your face or a hint of a smile.

He hated that.

It felt restricting.

As you threw your heels away and he jumped on the bed with what little energy he had left, he swore to never try that again.

Han

He was nervous.

He agreed to take this on because he thought it would be easy, after all he danced all the time.

How hard could it be?

Apparently, very hard.

At all turns, he kept getting confused or entangled with you, as you two struggled to understand what to do.

As you two fell while practicing in your room, limbs all entangled, you laughed at yourselves and though your dancing was far from perfect, you wouldn't change it for anything in this world.

Felix

As he held you close, your lips inches away from his, he smiled.

"Are you enjoying this?" He uttered, before being silenced by the dance teacher.

A smile was all the confirmation he needed.

And you two waltzed away.

His deep voice resonated in your ear as he whispered the counts to you, to make sure you both followed the rhythm perfectly.

His eyes met yours, filled with adoration and the intimacy of it all made you flush.

Now you truly understood how Disney princesses must have felt.

Seungmin

Seungmin was boiling.

"I swear if he says 'collectivity' once more, I will strangle him" was one of his many threats towards your innocent dance teacher, who was trying to get all couples up to date and in sync.

As you repeated for what felt the hundredth time the same dull sequence, Seungmin started scoffing at other people's dancing between one turn and the other.

"We're clearly the best couple here. Might as well make us the centerpiece, right?"

I.N

It was supposed to be simple.

Step forward, then back and turn.

As easy as it could be.

He was lost observing your focused face that he messed up the turn and bumped into you.

He reddened and apologised profusely, bowing down.

"Sorry, sorry" he said.

"It's okay" you answered, as you twirled around.

Every bump or accidental touch made Jeongin's heart race.

Why was ballroom dancing so... weirdly intimate?

« You can rest ».

The moonlight softly caressed his relaxed features, as his light snores fill the otherwise silent room.

It’s like a rhythm, matching his breathing.

Chan’s lips are slightly open, soft lips still.

Beautiful and at peace, calm.

His body melts in your arms, as he is cradled in sleep’s embrace.

The day’s fatigue and pains, after hours of practice and performances, is slowly washed away, like footprints on the sand.

Chan is finally relieved of toil and weight of his hard work, even if just for a few hours.

He’s no longer leader Bang Chan, Channie-hyung or producer CB97.

In the silence of the room, his worries and responsibilities slip from his mind and he is just Chan.

Minpossible

« I’m here »

Being an idol wasn’t easy, especially not when you liked your privacy.

Lee Know… he was like a cat, unpredictable and mysterious, which wasn’t always appreciated in the industry or by his so-called fans.

He’d come up with weird random post ideas or fun messages and he enjoyed messing with STAY… a lot.

However, not everybody liked his teasing manner and they weren’t afraid to say it, at least online.

Sometimes, he’d just grumble and complain, to no one in particular, really.

All his bottled up feelings finally released in a stream of anger and frustration.

From way too exposing outfits, to the fans’ wild theories: every single thing that irked him, no matter how insignificant, was laid out.

Minho didn’t need someone to give him a solution, or explain how the industry worked.

He just wanted to vent, let it all out.

No words were needed, as you held him in your arms.

As the anger dissipated, his face slightly red from his rambling, he listens to your heart beat to calm down.

Then, with a lighter heart, he is ready to face the world once more.

Charmbin

« You’re beautiful »

Changbin was oh-so beautiful.

As you stared at him lovingly, your gaze fixated on him and only him… he felt like a jewel amongst rocks.

He was surrounded by men who fit the beauty standards, who were praised for their good looks and, in an industry like the entertainment one, let alone that of K-Pop, it was easy for him to forget his own beauty.

Sometimes he’d forget about the muscles he built up with dedication, day after day.

He’d ignore his gorgeous face and curly hair.

More importantly, he’d easily forget how talented he was.

He was one of the greatest producers of K-Pop’s fourth generation, a rapper with powerful vocals and perfect enunciation that could also sing just as well, with a touching voice.

He was one of the funny guys of his group but he was so much more: he was reliable, trusted, respected.

Amongst so many stars he’d forget all about his own light.

However, in your eyes he could see its reflection, shining in your eyes as you loved him without a word, as you wanted him for all he was.

And he felt the most beautiful man of all.

Hyunique

« You’re talented »

Hyunjin really didn’t mean to come off as ungrateful but even he grew tired of compliments.

More precisely, of compliments about his looks.

Gorgeous, sexy, handsome… what about who he was inside?

What about all he had achieved?

His powerful dance moves weren’t just because of his beautiful appearance.

He had poured blood, tears and sweat into it, his whole life had been polishing his skills just to get complimented for his looks.

How many people would have really looked at his art if he didn’t look that way?

Who would have ever spared him a glance if he wasn’t handsome?

People would have probably called him an unreliable good for nothing or an idealistic dreamer, if he hadn’t had his looks, wouldn’t they?

He didn’t know but, the more he thought about it the more his blood boiled, as frustration and helplessness gnawed at him.

Then one hug, as he cried his heart out.

One session together through posts and videos complimenting his art, his dancing and his vocals…

It didn’t take away his insecurity, not completely.

But it helped him ignore the ‘what if’s and focus on the present and on his future, that shined as bright as a diamond.

Hanbelievable

« You’re strong »

Small and cute quokka.

Frail, weak, defenceless.

That’s how he felt whenever he saw fans treat him as if he were made of glass.

Not just them, his band mates and staff as well acted as if he was a ball of anxiety ready to crack and crumble at the smallest sign of pressure.

He was an idol, he had been working his ass off and managing his own mental health for ages.

Sure, he appreciated the concern but sometimes it felt suffocating, as he felt babysat by the others.

He wasn’t his anxiety nor his panic attacks.

However, just because he could be lively, fun and happy, it didn’t mean that he was faking it all.

The perception of others, at times, felt more pressuring than his anxiety himself, as they fuelled it.

Han wanted to be supported but he didn’t want anyone on his case 24/7.

It was just a few words as you were cuddling in bed, a whisper that slipped out as you admired his tired form, as Jisung was starting to doze off.

“You’re so strong”.

Just one sentence woke him up, as he smiled, comforted by your unassuming words.

Yeah, he really was.

Lixtroardinary

« You can cry »

The sky isn’t always sunny, sometimes it rains.

Just like that, even Felix couldn’t help but get mad or sad.

He was already known for crying on stage but, with the exception of the survival show, they were always tears of happiness.

The dancer was Stray Kids’ happiness, the one to bring a smile on STAY’s face.

However, sometimes the fatigue and pain was too much;

Sometimes the hate got to him;

Sometimes his day went wrong.

Hidden in a safe embrace, he’d allow himself to cry, let out all the sadness he felt.

There was nothing beautiful about it, it was an ugly cry, raw.

Felix was going to have a headache the hours after but at least his heart felt lighter and the world seemed brighter.

Sure, his problems hadn’t been whisked away but his mind was clearer than ever: everything was going to be okay.

He was going to be okay.

Perhaps he wasn’t always going to be Happy Felix, but he was going to relish all the happiness he could get.

Seungsational

« You’re special »

‘Eight members, eight all rounders’.

Seungmin didn’t feel like he belonged.

He was the vocalist of the group yet he didn’t have the same unique voice as Felix.

He wasn’t an all-rounder genius like Han nor was he a rapper and producer like Changbin or Chan.

He wasn’t a talented dancer like Lee Know nor didn’t have striking, unique looks like Hyunjin.

And he definitely wasn’t as adorable and fashionable as I.N.

He was… ordinary.

Then, whenever you asked, he picked up his guitar and started to play a bit, singing along the melody.

As he saw your heart melt with every note, and your loving gaze on him, he understood.

It didn’t matter how special others thought he was, nor did he need to compare himself to others.

As long as those who mattered believed in him, Seungmin himself included, he was going to keep doing what he loved.

I.N had grown used to being treated like a baby by others but he couldn’t deny his annoyance, at times.

He was a grown man, capable of his own choices and perfectly fine on his own yet his own fans seemed to treat him as a kid.

Sure, being pampered wasn’t that bad but, when his every move is watched and his independence is undermined… he hated it.

However, what could he do about it?

It’s not like he could change his date of birth.

Age is just a number but it always seemed like his role as a maknae overshadowed his vocals and… it stung. I truly did.

So he appreciated whenever he got asked for a favour.

It was a small thing but it showed the intrinsic trust you had in him, that he could handle it.

That even though he was the youngest of his group, he was good enough, he was capable enough.

Yang "I.N" Jeongin

I.N prided himself on his forward fashion sense, considering his clothing style trendy yet elegant.

More often than not, he even criticised other people’s outfits, particularly the members’ and occasionally yours.

The boy didn’t go all out for your date, as it was supposed to be a low profile coffee date, but he did out in the effort to throw together a nice fit.

Sure, it was very modern and leaning towards an urban/street style but nevertheless: he thought he looked great.

As he waited for you to come outside, sitting on the sidewalk with his cap in his hand, holding the visor towards him, as he covered his face from the sun with the other.

Bored, he started to sing, filling the silence with his voice.

Then he saw you come out of your house: you looked beautiful.

The moment he got up to come up to you, a passer-by gave him a pat and dropped a few coins in the cap he had in hand before leaving in a hurry as he said: “Keep singing, boy”.

I.N stood there, frozen in place and with the most confused expression ever.

You, who had witnessed the comedic scene, were wheezing on your doorstep, laughing at the event and at his reaction.

“Did… did that guy just… tip me?” he uttered, still in disbelief.

Had he been mistaken for a street artist? Or a beggar?

What was that? Was the cap wrong? Or maybe his ripped pants?

The foxy boy was there, his brain trying to process what had happened, having a full blown identity crisis.

All the outfits he had ever worn flashed before his very eyes, as he re-analysed them all.

As you went up to him, shaking him by his arm, he came back to reality and quickly said: “Let’s go.”.

Even as you walked, chatted and ate, you could clearly see how absentminded he was.

When he went back to the dorm, as dazed as he had been since he got tipped by a stranger, he couldn’t take his mind off of it.

Then Chan came along and gave him a bill with a teasing glint in his eyes: “So that you don’t have to beg on the street.”.

And suddenly I.N had a new goal: beat his leader up.

Lee Yongbok Felix

Felix had worked very hard to promote his androgynous appearance and turned it into an asset, so being associated with feminine characteristics wasn’t that big of a deal for him.

As his comeback was approaching, his new hairstyle was rather long, falling right below his shoulders.

He ran to your apartment as soon as his filming was over, not even bothering to change out of his pink shirt (with annoying ruffles that kept getting in his way) nor undo the braids the stylists had put him in.

As he stopped breathless outside your door, an elderly neighbour of yours was walking by, heavy bags in her hand.

Felix, ever the kind one, offered to help her out with a gentle smile, not saying a word cause his throat still burned from all the running.

Once the woman had set down the bags, with his help, she accompanied him out of the house and gave him candy, just as you noticed him and joined his side.

Before heading back into her own house, the old woman smiled at you and said: “Your friend is such a nice girl. So pretty too. Such lovely girls like her are rare to come by.” Then, she turned and said,: “I have a nephew, if you’re interested. He is very handsome and has a nice job in a good company. Perhaps you two could meet? You might like him.”.

Felix turned red in his face and couldn’t utter a single word as the woman went back in her house, humming.

He wasn’t sure whether to be flattered or offended, to be fair.

He wasn’t even sure he had understood her words correctly.

“Did… she try to set me up with her NEPHEW!?” he whisper-shouted, as you two left your neighbour’s driveway.

“I think she did,” you laughed, before comforting him with a kiss: “You truly look pretty. But also very handsome. It’s unfair how well you can do both at the same time”.

Felix chuckled at the compliment, wrapping his arms around you and kissing you softly.

“Funny you should say that, ‘cause I think it every time I see you”, he whispered, his eyes lovingly gazing at your face.

As you both blushed, giggles escaping your lips, you started to head to the new restaurant you had booked a reservation at.

“But seriously, what’s with the ruffles? You look like a flamingo”, you teased him.

With a dramatic gasp, he brought a hand to his chest and asked: “How dare you?!”.

“A very hot flamingo, if it makes you feel better!” You tried to defend yourself.

“It actually doesn’t. Like… ‘cause hot flamingo is basically a baked one.”.

“… You’re a roasted chicken, then.”.

It was a fairly sunny day, with the perfect weather for a date.

Seo Changbin

Sitting on the park’s bench, you waited for your boyfriend, who somehow insisted on wearing a hoodie with his head covered, to plop down by yours side with a satisfied ‘ah’.

“Hello, beautiful!” He said with a flirty smile on his face.

As you laughed, he kept going, hoping to hear your laughter some more, starting to imitate his members.

However, the more he spoke, the louder he’d get, so engrossed in the conversation that he forgot to mind his voice’s volume.

“And Seungmin went:” he said, before shouting at full volume “‘I prefer to be hit than to do the hitting!’”.

A family, who was just passing, glared at him, especially after their child asked them what the weird hooded man meant.

Changbin simply reddened and covered his face with the hood.

“Ah, baby. That was so embarrassing” he whined, hiding against you.

“To quote Felix and I.N, you sound like a pervert” you teased him as he let out a shy shout in response.

“Maybe, if you took off your hoodie, people wouldn’t misunderstand you too much?” You suggested eagerly.

He shook his head, before flexing his covered arm and saying: “You just want to see my muscles!”.

After a moment of silence you defended yourself: “Who says it can’t be both? It’s a win-win solution”.

With a high pitched voice, that was supposed to be an impression of you, he teased: “You sound like a pervert!”.

An offended gasp left your lips: “I do not sound like that! It sounded like a chipmunk on drugs! You suck at impressions, Binnie”.

“Hey!” He protested, before starting to tickle you.

As you died of laughter, he started to say, with a purposely annoying baby voice: “Isn’t Binnie the best at impressions? Wasn’t that so very spot on?”.

Only after you let out an exasperated “You win!” and agreed with his assessment of his impressions, did he stop his tickle torture.

Changbin knew he was loud, and he also knew that it meant that he’d often attract weird glares.

However, he really couldn’t care less, as long as your gaze kept the joy-filled glint he loved.

He’d let himself be mistaken for a pervert any day, if it got you smiling at him like that.

Han Jisung

- Han is running away like that lamppost burned him. The man is basically going through the stages of grief.

Han was rambling about his latest anime watch while walking when he crashed against the lamppost.

As if he had been scorched he bounced away, stumbling on the floor to your feet.

Once he realised what had happened, panting and regaining his breath and composure, he stared at you.

He didn't dare to move, hoping the Earth would swallow him up after such an embarrassing scene.

Slowly, as if that would make him invisible, he got up and brushed the dust off his clothes.

With a forced smile he went on with his speech.

Once you asked him whether he was okay or not, he dramatically threw himself in your arms, whimpering about the heart attack he gave himself.

The physical damage was insignificant but his bruised ego… That was damaged beyong repair.

He'd complain about how scared he was and how embarrassing it was.

It just takes a bit of reassurance, though, for him to start joking about it and laughing with you.

In the end, it will be a cute and funny moment he'll remember fondly.

Lee Felix Yongbok

- Felix was just so embarrassed. He couldn’t face you for the rest of the day.

As you chatted he listened intensely, memorising every single detail of what you were saying and trying to express his interest in your words.

He was so distracted that he failed to register your warning in time and he crashed against the lamppost.

He was startled but realised fairly quickly what had happened… As shown by his aggressive blush.

He pushed up his hoodie and hid his face in it.

“G-go on, love. Just… go on talking please” he'd beg you, eager to move on from his embarrassing moment.

Every once in a while, when he sees a lamppost or gets a flashback of it he can't help but blush, still embarrassed by his clumsiness.

Kim Seungmin

- Seungmin just falls down, confused and perplexed. Did that… really happen?

Seungmin was staring at you.

He loved to take in every inch of your figure, admiring how beautiful you looked when carelessly chittering about your day.

Between that and listening to your words, at least enough to get the gist of it, he was so mesmerised that he didn’t notice the lamppost.

He barely understood your warning that he instinctively turned his head in its direction, his forehead crashing against the metal.

He fell on his butt, staring at the lamppost as if it was a spaceship.

“Seungmin? Are you okay?”

Seungmin didn’t listen to you.

He was dozing off in the horizon, all up in his head: ‘Did that truly happen? That actually happened? I… crashed against that?”.

Before you could call the police, he stood up, still in a daze, and told you: “That was… weird”.

He simply shrugged it off but whenever the memory popped back up he’d get a confused expression that let you understand what he was thinking about.

Seungmin wouldn’t be very embarrassed about the act itself but more so about his reaction.

Yang "IN" Jeongin

- Jeongin is covering himself as best as he can. He just wants to turn invisible.

Jeongin was no stranger to being a klutz.

He was known for being clumsy and breaking stuff easily.

However he still got embarrassed when it happened in front of you, after all he wanted to show you his coolest side only.

He was so distracted by your beauty, trying to memorise your laugh and adoring how good you looked in the outfit he suggested to you…

He didn’t even notice you warning him frantically about his imminent crash.

Jeongin stumbled into it, falling forward and luckily putting his hands out in time.

He laid there, on all four, and he looked like a depressed fox.

As he got up you could notice him being beet red, his hair covering his embarrassed eyes.

He mumbled a “don’t look at me” and turned his face.

He kept walking for a while before stopping and holding out his hand, still avoiding your gaze.

As you two continued your stroll, his mind was still replaying that scene in his head.

Each time he remembered falling down he blushed more, groaning in embarrassment.

The same reaction will be drawn out whenever his mind brings forth that cursed memory.

Luckily for him, nobody was there to see him except for you.

Unfortunately… you were there.

In order of death

Bang Chan

He dies first.

As long as they don’t meet any zombies, he’s good.

He’s finding food, shelter and water and taking care of everyone like a good leader.

Then zombies are attracted to them (Changbin’s loud voice made their position known to half the city) and they have to run away.

He had no problem but, when Jeongin trips and falls over his own feet, Chan rushes back to rescue him and gets bitten, to which he decides to just go and hold back the zombies for as long as he has his own sanity.

I.N

He is good.

He is taken care of.

Sure, he has broken more pots than humanly possible and bumped into anything, it was a surprise he never bumped into a zombie.

Then they have to run.

The first time he trips, Chan saves him.

The second time, he is not so lucky.

Hyunjin

He forgot there was a zombie apocalypse.

Not really, but he somehow thought it was a good idea to wanted around an abandoned painting supply store on his own, maybe steal some brushes, while the others were looking for food.

Little did he know, that place was not abandoned: there were zombies.

Lots of them.

And so they enjoy their Hyunjin flavoured appetiser.

Felix

Felix attempted scavanging and helping out to the best of his abilities while keeping up the morale.

However, he had the bad luck of following Hyunjin in the store and while he managed to escape the zombies for a good while, making his way back to camp, he wasn’t able to outrun them the second time around, when they attacked them as they packed up to leave the spot.

Changbin

Weirdly enough, it’s not zombies that get Changbin.

He is fit, he is determined.

He is also loud, attracting unwanted attention all the time.

No, zombies don’t kill Changbin.

It’s allergies.

The boy is allergic to everything and, unfortunately, he soon finds out that he is not fit to live in the wild.

Han

Somehow managed to survive because he is quick on his feet and he stuck close to the right people (aka Lee Know).

He is very observant at times and he does manage to keep his cool most of the time.

However, he also has a tendency to doze off and fall asleep in the wrong places.

Namely, while looking for food away from Lee Know and Seungmin.

A delicious smell attracted him and after gathering the food, just like the hare, he took a nap, tired and way too used to the rest of the group looking out for him.

Zombies were not very affected by his cuteness, unfortunately.

Seungmin and Lee Know

These two are the last survivors.

They are smart, silent and have camp experience that help me.

The difference here is that Lee Know is more athletic, leaning into the survival aspect of it.

Seungmin, however, is witty enough to outsmart and overcome his physical shortcomings.

In the end, it’s most probably that the forced proximity and absence of live company other than each other will drive them to either separate and die alone, one caught because of a moment of idiocy and the other because he could not fight off the threats nor find any food, or kill each other out of exasperation.

Jeongin was known for being a bit of a formality-loving guy and for being treated like a little kid by his friends.

That was a combo that he didn’t particularly dislike, despite how he fussed over his members’ overbearing antics.

Then he met you.

You were just a few years older than him but he truly felt the age gap with each friendly head pat and every time he had to call you, always mindful of adding the honorific.

When he noticed that he had started to like you, he panicked.

How could he?

You were older than him and probably saw him as a younger brother anyway.

Each time you ruffled his hair he got more convinced of this: he had no chance. 

Why bother with an unrequited love? 

So he simply ignored it, hoping those blooming feelings within him would die. Unfortunately, they didn't. 

They only got stronger as time passed and he couldn't help but be drawn to you. 

He wanted to find a good reason not to love you but nothing ever came to his mind. 

Then he read a few comments online, below a dance challenge you had done together. "The age gap is too much". 

I.N thought he had finally found the one reason to distance himself from you. 

It wasn't right, he knew that. 

It was simply netizens doing what it did best: criticising. 

He knew firsthand how dangerous and hurtful that spiral of hate and judgement was but he needed an excuse, a shield to hide behind, instead of admitting that he was in love with you. 

Jealousy, neediness and attraction.... those were beasts he didn't feel ready to tackle. 

It was a vulnerability that he didn't want to allow himself.

So he did what idols did best: put on a smile and hide it all away. 

Jeongin didn't have the heart to push you away but he always knew where he stood.

You were out of his league, unattainable. 

He was just Jeongin. 

He was the youngest of a group of eight amazing and talented men and he... he didn't believe he'd ever be the one for you.

He was the worst option out of all of them.

He wasn't as handsome as Hyunjin, nor a genius like Han.

He didn't have Seungmin's beautiful voice nor Felix's natural charm.

He wasn't a reliable leader like Chan nor as strong as Changbin or as good a Dancer as Lee Know.

He was just the maknae.

How could he dare hope to be chosen by you?

- He thinks it’s a great idea and he does so while serenading you. He spends like a good half an hour carefully choosing the perfect stones if it's a last-minute decision. If he plans it… he's going all out.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

A light thumping sound began to accompany a beautifully rendered version of “Love story”, sung by a familiar voice.

As you cautiously looked outside the window, you noticed Hyunjin throwing pebbles at your window, a bouquet of red roses in his arms.

Once he saw you, he smiled: “May I come in, my Juliet?”.

As soon as he was let in, he dropped the three leftover pebbles on the table.

They were all perfectly heart shaped and on top of them was a letter.

While he could have painted the letter on, you were sure that your street didn’t have anything but concrete in it.

When he saw you staring at them he gave you the flowers: “I wanted it to be romantic and I couldn't just take off a piece of concrete, so I went shopping”.

The roses’ scent was still strong.

Before you could say a word, he kissed your lips briefly and then ran out the door quickly.

“I'll be right back, love. I'm just getting the rest of the pebbles”.

True to his word, he came back triumphantly with the remaining stones and quickly joined them with those on the table.

Once he was finished, he pushed you to see his work of art.

‘I LOVE YOU’

“Don't you have the most romantic of boyfriends, love?” He whispered in your ear, arms around your waist as he hugged you from behind.

Seo Changbin

- He throws the pebbles too hard and breaks your window. Very apologetic about it. He will insist on paying for it. However, he is persistent and he will try again at another time while calling out your name but, after getting more than a few noise complaints, he gives up.

“BABY!” was shouting Changbin's voice outside.

As you were opening the door, you heard the loud crashing sound of your window and his panicked “fuck”.

The man came to you, eyes swelling with tears, blurting out mumbled apologies without a break.

After calming him down, and checking out the damage, his head hangs low as he promises to pay for every repair and to get you an even better window.

“A bullet-proof glass! A-and it will be uncrackable! I promise you will love it! And I swear I did not mean to break it!”.

Once he understood that you were okay (and his emotions were back in check) he returned to his usual smug self, flexing his biceps and bragging about his muscles.

Lee Felix Yongbok

- He would do it but he’d text you he’s outside first (or at least coming), in order not to make you freak out.

It wasn’t unusual for Felix to visit you without warning but this time he wanted to make it extra romantic, especially after seeing one-too-many k-dramas with Han.

Felix texted you he was coming and, after double checking that nobody was watching, he started to look for pebbles on the street.

Very carefully, he started throwing them at the window, though he mostly missed.

After a few lot of missed throws, he gave up and rang the doorbell.

As you opened the door, you were greeted by a blushing Felix and his warm smile: “I brought brownies!”.

Once you are both settled at the table, he'd tell you about his romantic attempt at catching your attention with pebbles, slightly embarrassed by his bad aim.

Nevertheless, it becomes a funny anecdote to share while eating his delicious sweets together.

Han Jisung

- He was kind of embarrassed of the cheesiness of it so he hides himself with a hoodie. You mistake him for a stalker or a creep and call the police and then him. He will never live it down.

It was a terrible idea.

Jisung was regretting every single choice he had made that led him outside your door.

Well, not every choice but a lot of them.

Why did he think this was going to be a good plan?

Every little sound sent him flinching, worried someone was going to catch him.

“Okay, here goes nothing” he muttered under his breath, encouraging himself.

He hid himself in his hoodie and started throwing whatever object of small dimensions he could find.

Suddenly his phone rang, startling him, and he hastily answered, turning away from the window, once he realised it was you.

“Jisung… A creep is outside my house. He keeps throwing stuff at my window!” you say.

“What?! Did you call the police?!” He whispered, worried about your safety.

“Yeah. I'm scared”

“I'm coming” he answered before turning around and realising that he was the only one in front of your house.

“Babe” he said.

“Yeah?”

“Pleasedont'tbemadandcometothewindow” he told you.

“What? What did you say?”

“IT'S ME!” he screamed.

As you heard him from inside the house you realised.

“The creep outside… it was just you?”

“Yeah! I wanted to be romantic! Call off the police! I'm dead if anybody finds out! Please?!” He told you frantically.

As you laughed in relief you went to let him in and waited for the police to come in.

After you explained the misunderstanding, Jisung laid on your couch: “I'm exhausted”.

With a fake sigh you dramatically threw yourself on his lap: “I almost had an heart attack because of you!”.

In response to your teasing, Jisung blushed even more, hiding his red face in his hoodie and cuddling you: “‘M sorry, babe. Want me to cuddle the scare away?”.

And so you spent the evening laughing about it, much to his (fake) dismay, and cuddling.

Lee "Know" Minho

- He would do it as a prank. He’d hit your window then hide. And so on until you call him.

The last fifteen minutes had been annoying, to say the least.

Somebody kept throwing pebbles at your window but hid whenever you opened it and checked the situation out.

You had even tried to keep the window open but they just started hitting around it.

After looking outside the window once more, you spotted the culprit hiding behind a bush and you recognised the clothes he was wearing: Minho.

Grabbing your phone, you dialed his number and called.

After a few rings, you heard a hushed voice on the other side: “Yeah, kit?”.

“Come out. I can see your fat ass. It's sticking outside the bush” you say, though it really isn't.

“NO IT'S NOT” he screeched.

After realising that he gave himself away he ended the call and came out, hands up in surrender.

“You got me! Sorry!” he screamed with a chuckle, his smirk giving away how not-sorry he truly was.

Kim Seungmin

- He would do it for a special birthday or something like that but it would be a one-of-a-time event. He would be very careful not to hit the glass and to throw it delicately. He gets tired of it quickly though so you better open the door before he tires.

This was stupid.

You had told him about how romantic it would have been a few months before but he still hadn't changed his mind: it was dumb.

Doorbells existed for a reason.

However, as the puppy in love that he was, there he stood: pebbles in one hand and your birthday gift in the other.

With a sigh, he begins to throw them at your window, carefully aiming for the frame.

‘Baseball skills honed after years of training… Used for this cheesy gesture. I'm so whipped’ he scolded himself.

As soon as you opened the door with a bright smile, though, his embarrassment melted away.

Sure, he was going to tease you for it for forever… But, although you'll never know, he had to admit that it was worth it, if it made you that happy.

Yang "IN" Jeongin

- He's so flustered about it. He does it but, after just one throw, he gets embarrassed and just calls you and begs you to let him in.

It was one pebble.

After one barely audible ‘thud’ your phone ans doorbell rang at the same time.

As you opened the door you found Jeongin, as red as humanely possible.

When he saw your face he just hid in your embrace: “That was so embarassing”.

Nobody could ever find out, he told you.

The poor boy was unable to properly meet your gaze the whole evening.

The moment he had thrown that first pebble he felt so cringe… his skin literally shuddered at the memory.

Bang Christopher Chan

- He is pretty worried about breaking something. He just calls you.

“Hey darling. How are you?” he started the voice message.

“Not to freak you out or anything but… uhm… I'm outside your house right now. Can I come in? We can cuddle and, you know, spend some time together? I missed you”

Chan is so shy as he asks so, standing outside your door with some snacks.

Were you going to think he's too clingy? As he started overthinking it, you opened the door.

As he entered your house, he made a mental note to ask you if you minded him showing up unprompted like this.

For future reference, of course.

For now he was simply giddy that he got to spend time with you.

Jeongin didn’t know how long he could hold out for.

He had seen all his band mates go on dates and fall in love one by one, turning into lovesick fools, at least the ones that weren’t goners already, and, normally, he would have accepted that.

It meant that they were less all over him and more all over their partners so for him, it was a win-win.

That was how he imagined it to go.

Reality, however, was slightly different.

Having all coupled up, they soon started doing what no-longer single people did: play matchmaker with their single friends.

What used to be aggressive and never-ending affection, turned into continuous nagging about his love life.

I.N would have never believed it, but he was starting to miss their overbearing behaviour, as anything would have been better than being asked how he felt about going on a date every single time.

After a few months, they tired him out and he finally gave up.

He didn’t even want to know and he let them make his account.

That was a decision he regretted.

“Adorable?” He shouted, his voice resonating in the room, “I am not adorable! I am scary, fierce and intimidating! Cute is not in my vocabulary!”.

As his protests echoed in the dorm, the members cooed at him.

“I mean, look at my performances! Dark, sexy and cool! I’m that!” He explained.

Hyunjin replied with a teasing smile: “Except you're not! You’re adorable and just really good at acting sexy, dark and cool”.

I.N seemed on the brink of exasperation, which to be fair was an apt description, and stormed out.

Jeongin wasn’t actually mad, more like embarrassed because his profile was filled with his hyungs saying how cute he was.

And because Han and Seungmin teamed up to choose his username and… suffice to say that they came up with ‘Sexy bread’.

How was he supposed to be taken seriously by anyone, with a username and profile like that?

But again, he had no intention of going on a date so, perhaps, that could be a blessing in disguise.

Not that he’d ever tell them.

“Me, adorable?” He scoffed, with his eyes glued to the screen.

Then, ever the walking disaster, he tripped over nothing and fell face first, his hands dropping the phone to save his looks.

What if he stayed there? Maybe no one actually noticed and the ground would take pity on him and swallow him whole.

Then a voice called him out: “Are you okay?”.

And he swore he saw an Angel.

You were beautiful, holding out your hand to help him up, and your voice…

Jeongin’s heart skipped a beat.

“Yeah, I’m good. It happens a lot” he said, accepting your help and brushing off his clothes, his cheeks dusted with pink.

As you handed him his phone, he blurted out: “Have we met before?”.

You did look familiar but he couldn’t quite place you.

When you introduced yourself, though, he recalled: you had met at an award shows.

“Listen… I didn’t mean to invade your privacy but I couldn’t help but… you know, notice the app. Were you looking for a date?” You shyly asked, avoiding his gaze.

“No!” He quickly told you.

“I mean, yes. But not anymore. If you… maybe we can get coffee together? My treat! To… to thank you for the help” I.N added.

“Are you asking me on a date?” You teased him.

“Uh, yeah” he answered, with a red face and puppy eyes.

“Let’s go” you agreed before whispering in his ear “By the way…Sexy Bread?”

“You read that?!” He exclaimed, quickly covering his mouth afterwards, as passer-by’s stared at him.

“Maybe?” You feigned innocence, with a teasing smile.

Jeongin simply buried his face in his hands, and cursed his band mates.

They were dead meat. Especially Seungmin and Han.

Lee Know’s threats were going to be the least of their worries.

But first and foremost, he had a date to get to.

And maybe, just maybe, it would spare them from his murderous intentions.

Kim Seungmin

- He will insult you for it. It will be a playful insult, that’s a given, but he will tease you over how whipped you are. Otherwise, he might surprise you with a witty response. In his softer moments he will embrace you and simply answer with a “Is that so?” accompanied by his loving puppy eyes. Most of the time, though, he will be a menace if you tease him.

You were lounging around, lazily scrolling through countless puppy videos when Seungmin peeked at your screen.

“Your obsession with puppies is insane” he snorted.

With a devilish grin you replied: “Honestly, being a dog owner plays a big part in it”.

Seungmin simply raised an eyebrow at you, waiting for you to go on speaking.

“After all, I have you, pup!”

His expression turned exaggeratedly sour as he mocked you with an “Ew, you simp!”.

He even got away from you, sticking his tongue out with a fake disgusted expression.

Truth was, though, that he had heated up at the comment so he couldn't risk having you notice it.

However, as an idea came up in his mind, he went back to you and whispered in your ear: “If I'm your dog… does that make you my bitch?”

suggestive - He will be a brat about it. Seungmin will keep his composure as much as possible, considering how endearing he is finding you, and he will shoot back a remark, usually just as dirty and slightly mean. He will either rile you up and then leave or he'll be eager to prove himself to you. Which one he chooses to do… that’s a mystery.

Yang “IN” Jeongin

- He just can't take it. While his first reaction is of confusion, once he understands you he will become a blushing mess, heating up quicker than the thermostat. He will literally try to escape the room if it helps him avoid your flirting.

Jeongin was taking incredibly long to get ready for your date.

Though he was aware that you were downstairs, patiently waiting for him, he just couldn't help himself.

He wanted to look his best but he was incredibly indecisive on his look that day.

After a long internal debate he made a choice and dressed up as quickly as he could.

He had just come down the stairs when you, after laying eyes on him, shouted: “Argh! My eyes!”.

The poor boy got incredibly worried and approached you quickly, hand on your back.

“Are you okay? What’s wrong?” He asked, panic in his voice.

“Yeah” you uttered, straightening you back “I was just blinded by your beauty!”.

IN, stunned by the fact that he had been as gullible as to worry about your condition, simply left you: he was speechless and blushing uncontrollably.

“If you’re fine let’s go” he’d say, hurrying to the door while trying to act as if nothing had happened.

Unfortunately, anyone could see that he was simply running away, face and neck as red as tomatoes.

suggestive - When you thirst after him, something within IN just snaps. Wide-eyed he smirks and (with new found confidence) he will ask: “Really? Is that what you think?”. The reassurance and appreciation for the care he takes of his body… He just can't help but crave it, prove himself to you and cater to your needs.

It was a New Year.

With you asleep on his lap, after the excitement died down, Seungmin smiled to himself.

He took his diary and started writing what he would have liked to tell you.

All the words that always got stuck in his throat now flowed on the page.

“My love… that sounds weird.

You’re asleep on my lap right now and I think I can see you drooling a bit.

Are you thinking about me? Simp.

I am a man of routine, you know?

I like to do the same things over and over and to lead a simple life.

Love isn’t simple.

It is as complex as can be and just as unpredictable.

I don’t mind it, though.

I don’t mind loving you.

Every single part of you is precious to me and I wish I could take photos of every second we spend together.

You have become part of my routine and you must know, by now: I stick to my habits like glue.

Therefore, I’m afraid you’re stuck with me.

Like dogs, I’m as loyal as they come, though not as clingy (I can imagine you smirking and laughing at this last part. Stop it. I am not clingy. Okay, sometimes I am).

I’ll love you forever.

Maybe my love isn’t as scorching as flames or as passionate as it is in novels.

Nevertheless I love you, whether you like it or not.

He wasn’t one to be vulnerable and he had a hard time with voicing how he felt.

Perhaps one day he’d let you read it.

Either way, once you woke up and your sleepy eyes met his, he knew.

Neither one of you needed any words.

You loved each other and that was going to be enough.

Yang “I.N” Jeongin

Jeongin was quietly observing your face and its features, as you slept in his arms.

It had been an exhausting night of celebration and you were enjoying the quiet morning.

As he looked at your peaceful form, he couldn’t help but smile.

Whispering as quietly as possible, he confessed what his New Year resolution was.

You had nagged him to know but he had simply kept quiet, never letting his secret out.

Now he told you, just when you couldn’t hear.

“I want to love you this year. I want to share this year with you. Not just this one, though. I want to wake up next to you for the rest of my life. I want you to love me forever. I want to cherish you with every breath. I want to stand by your side no matter what, in bad and good luck”

The boy was startled when he saw you smile and open your eyes: “Sounds like a proposal to me, you know?”.

Flustered, he replied, stuttering: “T-that’s… you were supposed to be asleep!”.

With a smirk you shrugged, nuzzling against him: “Really? I didn’t know”.

As his blush settled, you added: “You know… whatever you do on the 1st of January will be what you’ll be doing the whole year so… I’m afraid I’ll be teasing you this year”.

With a wicked smile and a glint of mischievousness, the foxy boy asked: “Where’s my kiss then? ‘Cause I want to love you and kiss you all the time, this year”.

As you kissed him, he grinned, the corners of his lips turning upwards: this year was starting very well.

And life was going to be good.

As long as he was with you, he was never going to fall down.

Hallucination

Jeongin felt like he was going crazy.

Correction, he was definitely crazy.

Recurring dreams were nothing unusual, or so he was told.

However,ever since he was fifteen, he kept dreaming of the same person over and over again: you, quite literally the person of his dreams.

At first it didn’t feel that weird, it was just a dream after all.

Then he started to get worried: what was wrong with him?

He was sure that he had never met you, nor seen anyone who resembled you, so who the hell was he dreaming about?

He tried pretty much anything, from therapy to fortune telling, but each turned out to be more useless than the other.

After a while, he just gave up on trying to understand his dream issues and focused on… real problems, like his career and his annoying friends.

However, as he grew and time passed, the dreams started to evolve with him.

You became an adult, you chatted with him.

Jeongin would have confidently described his relationships with the mystery person… an actual friendship.

When he gave up on understanding, he had started to try and get to know you, as wild and stupid as that seemed to him.

Weirdly enough, it slowly began to make sense.

That person, which he thought a figment of his imagination, had unique tastes, independent thoughts.

You told him about your day, listened to his and comforted him, supported his dreams.

It wasn’t healthy, but he really could care less, especially when you were the only one to comfort him during his saddest moments.

Then he saw you.

He was wide awake and yet he saw you by his side, smiling.

As he turned to check, nobody seemed to notice you and your body cast no shadow.

He had finally started to hallucinate.

After three years of dreaming, he was having visual hallucinations…

Jeongin was definitely mad, he concluded, as if that was the final confirmation.

However, he couldn’t be bothered by that, not when he saw you smile oh-so-sweetly.

Yes, he had developed a crush on the literal person of his dreams, who had now become an hallucination.

That should have been a sign, he thought.

He was really out of his mind.

Seeing your figure throughout his day wasn’t that bad, it happened more or less once a week and Jeongin knew that he was going to see you in his dreams anyways.

Each night, without missing a beat, you were there.

One day, though, you started to no longer appear each time he slept.

The first time you were nowhere to be seen during his dream, he got worried.

Jeongin was getting worried and the worst thing was what he was worried about: he wasn’t bothered by the fact that he had had hallucinations of someone he had made up for almost ten years nor was he bothered by his attachment to said person.

He was simply scared about the fleeting moments that had replaced the recurrent appearances.

He had grown so attached and so used to your presence, that he was terrified of being without.

He was starting to forget things about you so, whenever he caught a glimpse of you, he’d scramble and hurry to write it down.

Jeongin had lost count of how many things he had knocked down as he hurried to write everything down.

One fateful day, he stopped seeing you.

He waited and waited, but you wouldn’t come, neither in dream nor as an hallucination.

He tried sleeping more, he even tried getting drunk, but he couldn’t see you.

He felt like he was chasing after a rainbow, seemingly so close but unreachable.

Jeongin couldn’t stand it.

He missed you.

Then one night, as he sighed outside his apartment building, he saw a familiar silhouette: his hallucination, idly typing away on the phone..

He ran towards you, shouting your name.

As you turned, your familiar face looking confused, he was left speechless.

His hallucination was a real person.

Somehow, he had dreamt up an actual person for years!

He felt as if fate had brought you two together.

OT8 Meeting the family: Christmas edition

Summary: Your boyfriend joined you in your home country for Christmas and he finally got to meet your whole family. You warned him of how intense it was going to be, you really did. What he did not expect, however, was making rounds to meet your giant extended family for three days straight, hosting meals and exchanging gifts with all of them.

Bang Christopher Chan (19/20)

- He wants to know everything about you and your family. He yearns to be as involved in your family life as you are in his, as he sees you as family already.

- He is buying small presents for the key figures (those you find most important such as close relatives or special ones) and of course, for the children. Expensive gifts… he tries to hold back on the adults’ because he knows how awkward things can get but he will not have a budget for the children’s toys.

- He thrived on the gatherings. Sure, he was exhausted at the end of the day but he was also giddy and kicking his feet, talking your ear off about how happy he is that you’re sharing these moments with him.

- He got along with everyone. Sure, he had a slight language barrier with those who spoke neither Korean nor English but he tried, with what he learned from you. He was very fatherly towards all children and he impressed everybody with his nurturing side. He was also sure to show and tell everybody how much he cherished you and how serious he was about your relationship.

- He won’t hesitate to strike up a conversation or play with kids while you get your greetings done (if he has introduced himself already). He definitely let you take the lead though, as he is your boyfriend and the family is yours… for now. Once introductions are done he won’t shy away from going solo though he will definitely try to stay close to you.

- During game night, much like he did when playing UNO with Felix, he couldn’t help but laugh when seeing the desperation on your face (or your relatives’). He is a good sport though and he will probably let the kids win too.

10/10 Everybody liked him. He showed both how responsible and serious he is and how caring and nurturing he can be. The children especially loved him.

9/10 He liked it though he would have preferred to take things a bit calmer and have more time to properly talk with all your relatives… and also some time to spend Christmas with you and you only. He can’t wait to do it again.

“I hope we can do this when we get back to Australia, love. It won’t be as grand but.. I’d really like for you to one day spend Christmas with my family. And maybe we’ll one day spend it all together. Merry Chris-mas... get it?”

Lee Felix Yongbok (18/20)

- He wasn’t very worried to be honest. Sure, he got a bit nervous before the first gathering but nothing too worrying. He was super excited about it though. Felix will definitely ask the most random questions and be incredibly curious about your family traditions or anecdotes.

- He doesn’t want to pressure anybody so he prepares gifts for your close family and lots of baked goods for everybody. His famous brownies will get him brownie points.

- He absolutely loved the familiar vibe of your Christmas gatherings. He simply added to the festive cheer that was already ongoing. The only issue was that he never wanted to leave one. The intense gathering schedule was… tiring.

- While he is sticking to you during the introductions, he is okay with being interrogated by the adults or carried away by kids. He might be shy in the beginning but he will warm up to his usual sunshine self in moments. He is definitely a cuddle bug but he might get shy if he notices someone staring.

- He got along with everybody. “Nice guy” was definitely his new title. He will try his best despite the language barrier, even resorting to miming stuff if needed.

- Game night… Get him out of there! He tries his best not to get too irritated or be a sore loser… but he almost rages quit multiple times. Avoid UNO at all costs because he can’t handle drawing 12 cards… again. The kids will definitely love to tease him about it and he’ll end up chasing after them as they run in circles around him, card game long forgotten during the chase.

9/10 He is absolutely loved by everybody. Not only did the baked goods make everybody touched and happy but his sunshine demeanour charmed elders and kids alike. Some thought he was a bit of a pushover but they really didn’t care. They definitely teased him during game night.

9/10 He really enjoyed it but he found the continuous moving from one place to another and change of gatherings very draining and confusing. He’d rather hold one big event for everybody.

“How come that your schedule is as packed as mine during my comeback? It’s mortifying to leave one just to meet another family branch… can’t we host one big party next time? Pretty please, sweetheart?”

Han Jisung (17/10)

- He was a nervous wreck. From the first of December to the minute before Christmas he is sweating. He wants to impress everybody but he can’t help but be incredibly worried, no matter how much you reassure him. He needs to nail it (and he will). He wants to show them how mature and serious he is about being with you.

- He is going on a buying spree. He will buy so much stuff, there will be leftovers. Budget? Never heard of it. He just wants to start off on the right food (and he hopes a cool gift will make up for any misstep he might make).

- At first he hates the idea. Too many people at once… that he has to impress as well. He only calms down when it comes to it, as he pretends they are simply STAY. He might end up doing something cringe worthy (while pretending to do cutesy stuff) which will make him get red and embarrassed, making everybody laugh after the initial confusion.

- He is stuck to you like glue. Not like physically affectionate but definitely within two meters from you. If left alone he will become a ball of nerves and look for you like a stray kid (author note: I’m so funny lol).

- Despite his worries… he is funny. He is a born entertainer and he quickly became the life of the party. Sure, some (especially the elders) were worried about how serious he was about you and the bolder ones even voiced their concerns. Hearing that, he got very panicked but, despite the nervousness, he confidently reassured them. Grandparents and aunties are squishing his cheeks nonstop.

- First of all: he’ll probably not get the game right away. Second of all: he gets very excited and an almost childlike joy. He will definitely make everybody laugh at his desperations when he loses.

9/10 Life of the party and definitely liked though the moment there’s a serious subject he’s back to being a nervous wreck. Some of the most serious relatives would have probably liked to see a more “mature” side of him but most enjoyed his demeanour.

8/10 Definitely loved the fun memories but he is also burying himself from his most embarrassing ones. Would definitely meet your family again but just… small doses. He will have a heart attack if he gets this stressed again.

“Did you see that? It was so embarrassing! I can’t look your uncle in his eyes anymore! I shouted UNO when I was left with one monopoly dollar! Agh!!!”

Seo Changbin (16/20)

- Changbin will definitely whine about not being able to host it at your place, even at his expenses. He would have loved to have your family, no matter how numerous it may be, in Korea. He will ask a million questions (some even repeated since he gets so excited he forgets he asked them already). He wants to know everything about your traditions!

- Given how he was “robbed of the opportunity of hosting” he is definitely going out on his Christmas shopping. He is getting so much stuff you’ll struggle carrying it from one house to the other. He’ll tell you he can handle it while flexing his muscles but… he has just two hands. How he expects to carry half a toys shop all by himself is a mystery.

- He loves this kind of thing and he’ll enjoy it for the cheerful mood and of course, he gets to meet your family!

- He is stuck to you like glue simply because he loves you so and is clingy. He will refrain from excessive pda but sometimes he just can’t resist. He will handle himself wonderfully on his own but he’d rather have you by his side.

- He’ll be his loud funny self after the initial nerves. He will definitely get super quiet and shy when complimented but he will send back another compliment just as quickly. He is definitely charming your relatives and the kids. Definitely letting the kids climb on him and giving them piggy rides.

- During game night Changbin is definitely getting loud and being teased left and right. He’ll probably end up your cheerleader and lucky charm. Partly because he doesn’t understand the game rules and partly because he enjoys watching you play (and he doesn’t want to lose in front of your relatives).

9/10 He is very loved but the elders will not enjoy his boisterous self a lot. Grandmas definitely enjoyed his love for eating and food though. Kids? They loved him.

7/10 He was okay with it and he enjoyed himself but… he wants to host next time! He wants both your families under your roof and he wants to share these moments in a house you can both call your own.

“Ah, that was so much fun! I think they really liked me, you know? And man was the food delicious! Gotta get the recipe and have Minho cook it, you know?”

Kim Seungmin (15/10)

- Seungmin would be very thorough in his planning, learning a bit of your language and asking about your family and traditions. He wants the details, their tastes and preferences. Heck, even their favourite colour can’t be overlooked. He knew all he needed to know beforehand.

- He is buying gifts for everybody. That’s not debatable. They will be thoughtful and not too expensive but he will buy them nevertheless.

- However, he wasn’t ready to face so many people at once, being juggled from one place to another. Sure, he was used to fan meetings and so on thanks to his job but he wanted to be liked by your family and that was somehow much harder than facing thousands of STAYS. He enjoyed the gatherings, though he was drained, by the end of the day. He definitely offers to help with chores or carrying stuff if he sees somebody struggling.

- He’ll be strictly following you like a puppy though. He’s scared to mess up if left alone and he needs you there. If alone, though, he’ll try his best, though he would be very nervous. Basically becomes your shadow and never leaves your arm.

- He even stunned some of your relatives by speaking in your language. Unsurprisingly, he got especially along with the elders, despite the language barrier. Kids found him a bit more unapproachable because he was very nervous and so he ended up being very stoic and serious (kind of uptight) to impress the adults of your family.

- He did struggle to keep his cool during game night, getting carried away while playing bingo and monopoly but, luckily for him, your family matched his energy.

9/10 Everybody really liked him though he was a bit too formal/uptight for some (especially those on the younger side). He was very shy at the beginning. They definitely appreciated the thoughtful gifts. The elders loved him and said he “really is a proper young man. It’s hard to find one these days”

6/10 He really liked meeting your family and seeing you in such a familiar setting…. But he is exhausted. Too many parties and people.

Yang “I.N” Jeongin (15/10)

- He is both nervous and excited and he will ask for heads-up about anything he might need to know but he won’t be too inquisitive. He still wants to live in the moment. He will regret that during the drive to the first gathering though.

- He is definitely a big spender and he will buy a little something for everybody. Jeongin is going on a shopping spree and he’s dragging you with him.

- He is definitely shy and clumsy at the gatherings. It’s a lot of people he doesn’t know that are important to you. He will pretend it’s a variety show or interview (especially given how curious and nosy relatives can get) but he will still be very reserved.

- This baby bread is not leaving your side unless he is dragged around by others. He might be taken away by the elders, who become fond of him very quickly.

- He definitely learnt some of your language before so he uses that to impress people, though he gets shy when complimented. Definitely very reserved and shy all the time.

- When it comes to games he is very relaxed about it and he will try to keep a straight face. He doesn’t want to be seen as a sore loser but he wants to win. He will be tense at the beginning but he will definitely loosen up before long..

8/10 He was incredibly shy so people liked him and his politeness but they couldn’t really get to know him well. The elders really liked him too.

7/10 He was unsatisfied with his shyness, as he hoped to impress people. He definitely wants to meet your family again but perhaps in more relaxed settings.

Hwang Hyunjin (14/20)

- He doesn’t really plan a lot. He has it in the back of his mind but, apart from the occasional question, he will just go with the flow. He’s confident he can have it go well.

- He is probably doing something artistic and hand made, maybe small paintings. He wants to make his best impression. Definitely buying some traditional gifts as well though. He will probably bring a plant to the host.

- He is used to big crowds so he doesn’t sweat it much… he’s just curious about the family ties and who is who since he has probably never met so many related people. Definitely enjoys all the familiarity in the air.

- He is sticking with you and living for the tea. He will be nodding along but his expression may sometimes betray him. He absolutely loves gossiping with you and your relatives. Does he know who you're talking about? No. Does he still care about the details? Yes, he does.

- Hyunjin definitely knows how to play his strength. He will be impeccable… which might make him a bit unapproachable to some but he is quick to notice and adjust his attitude if needed. He will get along with people very well… he might have his dramatic moments but nothing too excessive.

- During game night he is very composed, he doesn’t care much… or so he says. His side-eyes are pretty eloquent.

8/10 He charmed some but others were distracted by his physical aspect and judged him for it, worrying he wouldn’t be serious about your relationship, especially given that he is very emotion-driven and his interests vary a lot. His being a drama king definitely hurt his image with the elders but the adults and young kids liked him.

6/10 He liked it but he was exhausted after two days of it. He would have liked to take his time with each instead of being thrown around like a ping pong ball from a gathering to the other.

“That was worse than my tour’s schedule! I mean… how many people do you have in your family? Y’all could take over Korea and then some! You’re an army! If you were all STAYs we’d be at the top of the chart! I know we are nonetheless but… you get the point! And I still can’t believe your cousin broke up with her boyfriend!”

Lee "Know" Minho (13/20)

- He is very nervous but he’ll try to pretend he’s not. His mind is set on making a great impression. He might even learn your language, at least the bare minimum. He is definitely asking more about any traditions you might have. And cats. He will freeze up when it comes to it though: he”ll become a ball of nerves and he’ll get very silent and stoic.

- He isn’t bringing gifts for everybody. He is only getting them for your close family. He is preparing an insane amount of food for all. Is it stress cooking? Yes. Will he play it off as him only being generous and wanting to impress your family? Absolutely.

- He is definitely offering to cook and helping with chores and heavy lifting (much to your family’s protests). He isn’t very much into the big crowd but he will vibe with it.

- He is pretty independent, probably choosing a corner to park himself in while he waits for you. If there’s a cat he is all over it. He will probably interact with you if you call him back but if he feels you’re having a family only conversation he is leaving you space or standing by your side while nodding… even if he understands nothing. He will definitely flash his cat pics.

- He will be very silent and serious, though he might play around with kids a lot, making faces and pranking them. He definitely struggles with the language barrier but he tries his best to act present. He will be nodding along and matching your expression.

- Games need no words (mostly) so he does get a bit more into it, acting like his usual self. Definitely laughing at other people’s game misery.

7/10 They didn’t get a chance to like him a lot because he was either a completely silent statue or mocking somebody. They could see how caring he could be when helping people with chores/cooking/heavy lifting. Plus the cat pics and food gave him lots of points.

6/10 He hated that he couldn’t show his best side. He definitely wants to host a dinner to try and make it up to everybody. He still enjoyed the domesticity of it all.

Bang Christopher Chan

- Definitely the most protective, as it is in his DNA to be very protective over the people he cares about. He will oftentimes check up on you and while he won’t meddle too much, he will want to know whatever goes on. He trusts you can handle it but he will always offer you his help. He wants to take care of you and protect you.

- While he’d love to take care of whatever issue you may have, no matter how small it may seem, for you, he knows he can’t and that you may not want him to. He won’t interfere if you ask him not to but his first response will be to offer to take care of anything for you, including your protection. He will always ask (except in emergency cases) for your permission to step in.

- If somebody is making you uncomfortable in his presence, he will step in. He will not get into a physical fight but he will act as threatening and as imposing as he can, taking your hand into his and glaring at whoever it is that is making you uncomfortable.

- He is a worry wart. He won’t be very physical and his way of protecting you is mainly by checking up on you as frequently as possible and letting you know he’s there to help you out, no questions asked.

Seo Changbin

- This man takes “protecting” you as his duty and he will do it to the utmost of his abilities. He will always be very forward and vocal about this. Whether it is glaring at people who ogle at you (satisfying his jealousy is just an added bonus) or stopping you from doing any chore that could hurt you (including but not limited to cutting vegetables, getting things in high places and taking things out of the oven). He won’t be checking up on you much for two reasons: he’s either with you or chatting with you (he’s clingy).

- He may at times come a bit overbearing, especially if you’re a very independent person who likes to do things on your own. If you don’t like it he will try to be subtle and tone it down but let’s be honest… Changbin isn’t exactly subtle.

- If somebody is making you uncomfortable this guy will wrap you in your arms and glare at the other, conveniently flexing and showing off his arms. He might be short but he will not let anyone make you uncomfortable… and his muscles certainly make up for his height.

- This man has good intentions and he just can’t stand the thought of you getting hurt. If you ever do get hurt, he will take it as a personal failure and he will try everything to make it up to you.

Lee “Know” Minho

- He is protective when it comes to people but he will believe you can handle yourself in most cases (or unless you’ve proven otherwise). He won’t actively be protective towards you but he will take action if needed.

- If somebody makes you uncomfortable or hurts you he steps in right away, chasing the other away with his glare and menacing stance (or perhaps with one of his threatening questions). In his mind, he’s planning murder.

- He will keep an eye out for you, or check up on you regularly, but he won’t pry too much. He’s very observant so he’ll be quick to intervene the moment something is about to go wrong. He also makes a mental note of what to be wary of and whatnot.

- He’ll never get overbearing but he’s also got his eye on you (or at least his mind). Only case he might get a bit much is when somebody is threatening you. In that case he might start a fight with no regrets.

Kim Seungmin

- Seungmin is like a dog. Only he will mock first. He is very attentive but tends to let you take care of it, while letting you know he’s there if you need him.

- However, if you get hurt (not because of someone) because of your clumsiness he’ll laugh and mock you slightly while helping you (unless it’s something big. If it’s an emergency or you're gravely injured he’ll hold off on laughing about it until you can both laugh).

- He will insult and make jabs at anyone who makes you uncomfortable and while he is (mostly) above violence, he will be savage with his words. That person will need therapy to recover whatever ego he had.

- Seungmin will be very mindful of your habits and he will take care of anything you’ve had a history of getting hurt while doing it. He will deny it if caught, however.

Lee Yongbok Felix

- Felix is not very protective physically. Sure, he wants to be sure you’re taking care of yourself but his protectiveness is mostly psychological/emotional. He wants to be sure that you are happy and he is protective of that.

- He doesn’t worry much about your physical safety unless he sees your mood could put you at risk (you want to cut vegetables but have been careless all day ‘cause you’re worried). He will try to keep you happy all the time, though he understands everybody has bad days, for which he’s ready to stand by your side and comfort you however you want.

- The moment somebody makes you uncomfortable, he is by your side and his “deep-voice Felix aura” is on. He’ll turn from Sunshine to the Beast right away. He won’t confront the other much, except to call them out. His goal is to take you away (or chase the other away) and make sure to comfort you. If needed, though, he won’t hesitate to put his 63 taekwondo medals to good use.

- While he might not be protective, he likes to be of help so he will always ask if you need him to do anything and he will happily take on any chore, whether it is cooking or carrying the groceries.

Hwang Hyunjin

- Hyunjin is incredibly in tune with his emotions and yours as well so he can be very attentive, especially to your emotional health. He isn’t very confrontational, though nothing and no one is safe from his die eye.

- He is still the leader of paboracha so he won’t be very careful himself. Of course, if needed he is always there for you but he doesn’t have that same care in protecting you. He trusts that you will let him know if you need him.

- He will be very dramatic though. Whether it is to fend off unpleasant people or to scorn the knife that cut you, this prince will do his best, even if just to make you laugh at his antics.

Han Jisung

- This poor boy… he will try his best to be protective. But he’s a quokka. In all seriousness, this guy will try his best to keep an eye out for you but he just gets lost in his thoughts or staring at you so it’s usually your call that brings him back to reality.

- From a mental standpoint, however, he is personally on your case. He will be preparing self-care days and checking your mood almost every second. He can be a bit “paranoid” about it and overthink it, leading to him being overly protective due to misunderstandings but over time he gets the hang of it.

- If someone is bothering you he puts on his brave face and he’ll just lay all over you, trying to make the other understand who he’s messing with. His plan is either confront and call out in a friendly manner or make a run for it. He wants to avoid messy confrontations as much as possible.

- If it comes to it he will fight though. He has (some) training from living with Minho.

Yang "I.N" Jeongin

- Jeongin is used to being coddled by the other members so he understands how that can get old pretty fast. He usually won’t interfere unless the situation calls for it or you ask him to. He doesn’t want to be too overbearing.

- He will chat with you often, checking up on how your day is going. Unless you let him know of anything off, or he notices that, he will let you do your thing.

- He is a klutz so he is very understanding if you accidentally get hurt. He’ll be by your side, worrying over you with tears in his eyes. He will probably feel very guilty if you get hurt without him noticing.

- If somebody is bothering you/hurts you, he gets very confrontational and snarky. He’ll show off his muscles and intimidate the other person until he leaves the two of you alone. Then he’s back to baby bread comforting you.

Lee “Know” Minho

- cocky bastard pt.1. He’ll be smirking and acting all smug though his ears will be incredibly red. If you feel his muscles for a while he’ll start getting embarrassed and unleash his embarrassed laugh/smile. After a while he’ll tell you off and go do something else. For some mysterious (“totally unrelated”) reason he’ll then be a bit more mindful of his figure and working on it a bit more.

“It’s all yours, kit. Loving what you’re touching, huh?”

Seo Changbin

- super proud. It’s no secret that he works incredibly hard on his body so hearing you appreciate it (and having you feel it) will have him beaming with joy. He’ll flex and pose and boast about it, loudly so. He will be blushing and he will only push himself even more, just to get you to feel his muscles. He’s probably the one who’ll invite you to do it more often than not, once you feel them once.

“You gotta check the results, you know babe!?”

Hwang Hyunjin

- He will blush and act all coy while secretly (or not so much) relishing in your attention. He knows he has a good physique and having you flatter him like that makes him incredibly happy. Hyunjin will even, sometimes, playfully tease you with his muscles with a smirk.

Han Jisung

- His reaction can either be him turning into a blushing and stuttering mess or acting all cocky. In the latter, Jisung will wiggle his eyebrows with a smirk, flexing. - Felix will shyly smile, acting all coy but letting your hands do whatever they want. He won’t ask you to do it again but he might wear more tank tops than usual. He just gets super giddy whenever you feel his muscles: it gives him butterflies.

- Cocky bastard pt.2. He’ll bash you for it, calling you a simp and mocking you. He’ll flex his muscles and deny it when you call him out. He isn’t one to hit the gym for fun nor a lot so he really likes it when you show this kind of appreciation for his physique.

“Simp. Stop drooling over my muscles, you look like a creep”

Yang “I.N” Jeongin

- He’ll simply get incredibly red and try to hide it, though you can clearly see a wide smile on his face. He secretly loves these compliments because he worked hard on his body but hearing them out loud makes him super embarrassed. He might expose more skin, standing to the side and occasionally flexing, to try and catch your attention again, fishing for your appreciation.

“Ah, stop! So embarrassing!”
