An interesting little fun thing with team 7 is that you assume that Sakura's gonna, like, woobify and simplify Sasuke by putting him on a pedastal,cause her goal is centered around him and shes a 12 y/o fangirl so like of course her understanding of him is skewed cause she doesnt see him as a person, just an object of affection, right? why are control groups important?

experiment groups: a part of the total sample which undergoes treatment.

control groups: that part of the total sample which is not subjected to the experiment, but is vital in deciding the significance of results obtained.

if a control group is absent in a trial which tests whether a treatment truly works, there is no normal to compare it with. the treatment was created to be better than the current conventional treatment or no known cure at all. without a control group, there is no way to confirm that the treatment is the better option from now on.

therefore, a control group is not the less imporant group. results of different types of studies are more reliable based on how well the control group was designed. yes, designed.

while testing a drug, its effect is compared against a control group, which is given no drug at all or is given placebo (for eg., giving a sugar cube and having people believe they've been given the drug). these are called the untreated control group and placebo control group, respectively.

in some studies, the researchers and participants themselves do not know the control group. the analysis and results are thoroughly unbiased here. this is called a double-blinded control group.

No...This is Before HDMI Was A Thing. You had to put the TV on actual channel 3. You turned it to channel 3 and ignored whatever was broadcasting and then you turned on your console or your VCR. (Because you also had to do this to watch a tape.)

There wasn't an HDMI channel. There wasn't a specific setting for "watch something other than what is being broadcast." You just put the TV on channel 3 and then channel 3 got overridden by whatever other thing you wanted the TV to display.

I have no idea why it was Channel 3 Specifically that was The Designated Channel for VCRs and video games, but it was true for every single TV I ever encountered.

If you failed to put the TV on channel 3 and turned your video game/VCR on anyway, it wouldn't work. You'd just see whatever was being broadcast on the channel you had the TV on. Your game/movie WOULD be playing, but it wouldn't actually be displayed on the TV. Sometimes your sibling would take advantage of this to torment you by changing the TV channel in the middle or a boss fight or something.
