it really was exhausting - all this dancing and drinking ( not that she drank to excess , heavens no ! ). but , she also had a rather lovely time in england , as ironic as it might be coming from french nobility. however... this was the ton , not the hundred year war. she'd like to think both nations have grown in their providence and their enlightenment. after all , their very own enlightenment thinkers have vouched for a more... friendly affair among all of europe.

My friend Kh (J's girlfriend) decided to bully him into watching her favorite version of P&P, the 2005, and obviously I was onboard for dragging him into watching Austen adaptations in general (so we can dissect them afterwards even if I hate them, which is fun for me, and I don't actually hate that one despite the hectic speedrun of the whole plot). And indeed, even after Kh went to bed, J had many opinions and we had a long discussion of social issues etc and ones that are retained from the novel and remain painfully relevant and others that feel wildly alienated from normal life.

But also, I'm having a really good time with the Kirk/Spock brainrot so
