Here’s a little bit about how the main character from The Grandest Tales of Clementine developed over the years. Clementine actually started as a dnd character in my first campaign – when we were talking over character options I joked about playing a cow, and the DM said go for it.

So I went home and googled “how to make a dnd race” and patched together stats for a Brown Swiss Cow (the Best kind of cow, according to my research). I practiced a southern belle accent and and came up with a backstory for how a humble cow gained magical powers and got into hero work - and lo, Clementine was born!

Clementine was a paladin, of course. What divine power wouldn’t trust a cow to save the day?

As you can see, I’ve drawn her many a time over the years (and, thank goodness, got a little better at cow anatomy each time)

⚔️ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Biting Sickle
Weapon (sickle), uncommon ___ This bone sickle has rows of teeth along its top and bottom edges. When you hit a target with the sickle, you can choose to speak its command word to cause the weapon to magically bite down, as if it were a voracious beast. You then let go of the weapon, and the target immediately takes 1d6 piercing damage from the bite. The sickle remains held in place until it’s removed, to a maximum of 1 minute. For the duration, the target takes another 1d6 piercing damage at the end of each of its turns. A creature can use its action to make a DC 13 Strength check, removing the sickle from itself or another creature within its reach on a success. Imagine holding Astarion in your lap and cupping his face in your hands, giving him all the little kisses he deserves over his cheeks and along his forehead and on the tip of his nose. He would huff in annoyance at not being kissed on the lips straight away, but would sigh so sweetly when you finally press your lips against his own as he holds onto the front of your shirt and nuzzles closer to you to savor your warmth. And all the while, he would smile at how soft and gentle you were treating him, almost baffled that someone like you would want to dote on him with your love and affection. But when you would smile back at him, he would realize that maybe it wasn’t so bad if he could experience more moments with you like this.
