F1CHAI the summer vacation not only brings dramatic shifts and shuffles among the current lineup, it also brings forth a new *rumored* couple. after a previous relationship that was rife with confusion and so much controversy, y/n has rose to the trends, this time, with daniel ricciardo headlining the event. their similar posts have sparked discussions all through out the interweb, prompting fans to speculate that they have spent their break together.

"haagen or ben and jerry's?" daniel hollers from the kitchen, and you raised your head to shout back, "both!"
you focused on the task at hand, picking the perfect movie or series to binge while munching on the junk food spread on the table. it was covered with all the essentials for a night in; chocolates, popcorn, fries and nuggets. you were wrapped in the fluffiest of blankets, and the felt the most comfortable you've ever been in a while.
daniel sat himself on your side, grabbing the other end of the blanket and getting cosy himself. you murmured a quiet thanks when he handed you the icey treat, leaning into him when he kissed your head with a welcome in return.
the aussie raises an eyebrow to his phone, seeing notifications flash after the other and feeling it hot under his touch. he chuckles, showing the barrage of mentions and messages he's recieved, "see, i'm not totally sure but i think they're saying we're on a holiday. together."
"me with daniel ricciardo?" you gasp for added effect, "i couldn't possibly."
"i know, where could they have gotten it from?" he sighs dramatically. "i'm woefully alone."
"and i'm utterly heartbroken," you touched your chest with a fake pout, "on a soul searching rendezvous."
"we're a bit pathetic." he tilts his head, a grin forming on his face. "but in-a-totally-chill way." you giggle.
"it's nice to be sad and pathetic together, though." he nods his head with a laugh, "ditto." you toast your respective icecream cups.
you both settle into comfortable silence, watching the generic comedy film playing on the television. daniel's arms felt comfortable around you, and you naturally fell into his embrace... he felt safe, and warm.
"thanks for being a friend dani." you mumble, on the prepice of sleep.
"... someday.." you were too incoherent to understand what he said in reply, only faintly registering his lips on the top of your head.

Tumblr media
THE START of senior year has a bitter taste that Paige wasn’t prepared for. She’s envisioned this time in her life in so many different ways—dominating on the court, coasting through classes with Dani by her side, enjoying the final months before the world outside St. Louis Park opens up to them. But reality always has a way of shattering things, leaving Paige to pick up the pieces of what’s supposed to be the best year of her life.
The ache in Paige’s chest is a constant reminder of what she’s lost—or more accurately, what’s been torn away from her without any explanation. As she sits at the edge of her bed, staring at her phone, Paige’s fingers hover over the message icon, the urge to text Dani overwhelming. She doesn’t know what she’d say; she just wants to talk her. But the memory of her and Dani’s last conversation stops any true thought or idea of communicating with the brunette. She was so hostile, so cold, so different from Dani—who’s always been warm and kind and true. And now Paige stares at the last message she received from the girl and it hurts her eyes to even look at.
Dani ❤️‍🔥
i’m going to camp, won’t have my phone
sorry
It was sent in early June, and that was it. No further explanation, nothing to ease the anxiety that had gripped Paige the rest of the summer afterwards. And now, Dani and Paige are both back, and yet, the aforementioned is more distant than ever before. The silence between them has grown thick, suffocating, leaving Paige alone with her thoughts and the static of unanswered questions buzzing in her mind.
With a heavy sigh, Paige tosses her phone aside and forces herself to get up and get dressed. She goes through the motions: pulling on her favorite UConn hoodie, tying her shoes, grabbing her bag. But everything just feels off. The hoodie’s too heavy, her shoes too tight, and the backpack weighs down her shoulders more than it should. It’s as if the world has shifted slightly, leaving her out of sync with everything around her.
As Paige trudges down the stairs, she finds her dad and Drew in the kitchen, the two of them already busy with their morning routine. The smell of bacon and maple syrup fills the air, though it doesn’t bring its usual comfort to Paige.
“Senior year, P!” her dad, Bob, chirps, grinning sideways at his daughter as he packs Drew’s lunch box. “You excited?”
Paige forces a smile. “Yeah, sure.”
Bob’s brows furrow slightly at her tone, sensing the lie beneath the surface, but he doesn’t press. Instead, he just hands Paige a piece of bacon, which she gladly accepts. “I’m sure you’ll have a good time,” he replies, clearly trying to be reassuring.
Paige nods, sending him a short smile before making her way over to Drew. He sits at the table, eating his pancakes. She ruffles his hair a little, and then kisses it lightly, saying, “Have a good first day, ‘kay? Better tell me all about it when you get home.”
Drew will be in first grade and he’s been bustling with excitement to start back up in school since it ended, having had a wonderful kindergarten year. Paige adores her little brother’s innocence, his love for learning. It clenches at her heartstrings a little bit, though—it feels like he’s growing too fast.
Drew sends his older sister a grin, saying with his mouth full, “I will, Paigey!”
She smiles back, this one reaching her eyes a bit more, before mumbling her goodbyes, Amaya sending a text telling Paige she’s here. No, Paige does not have her license yet—no, she doesn’t want to talk about it. She heads out the door, the morning air crisp. It does little to clear her mind. She smiles a little at her sophomore friend as she gets into the passenger seat, greeting her. Amaya grins back, though she’s clearly unhappy with the fact summer’s over.
When they arrive, the parking lot is already half-full, students milling about in groups, laughing and talking and probably complaining about the fact that school’s back in session. Paige isn’t offended when Amaya leaves her side to go to her friends in her own grade, bounding over to them happily. Besides, the blonde has already spotted Thaliah Sommers and KK Adams near the entrance, the pair waving at her with tired smiles.
“Hey, P,” KK greets. “Senior year, yeah?”
“Seems like it,” Paige replies, glancing at the building, lips pulled into a tight line. She doesn’t even bother trying to fake another smile, expression brittle at this point. Her friends don’t seem to care; they both look more than exhausted, their summer sleep schedules most likely not mingling well with the early arrival time.
“Can’t believe I have a first period,” Thaliah grumbles, wiping at her eyes. Truthfully, the girl looks as if she’s just rolled out of bed—sporting a sweatshirt and sweatpants, face bare. It seems as though senior year has made them all careless.
“Yeah, but at least you get out after fourth,” Paige reasons, shaking her head as she thinks of her own schedule. “I have all these random free periods between my classes, so I gotta stay here all day. I’ll prolly just end up bothering Coach during ‘em.”
“I’d hate that,” Thaliah agrees, scrunching her face up as the three of them begin to walk into the building, recognizing that class starts in a few short minutes.
Inside, the familiar sights and sounds of the first day of school surrounds Paige. Lockers slamming shut, freshman looking lost, teachers already reprimanding students. To her disappointment, Paige doesn’t feel a single ounce of excitement as she takes in her surroundings, instead only feeling an unfamiliar sheen of anxiety graze over her skin. She knows why. Lately, everything that’s wrong with Paige has led back to the same thing. Dani has always been her constant; though, now, it’s in a far different way than it was before. Dani seems to be the source of all of Paige’s problems, all of her recent negative feelings, the new emotions she’s been experiencing. The absolute lack of Danielle Callan has rocked Paige’s world more than most would believe possible.
And Paige has no idea whether it helps or not that her first class of the day is AP Lit—the only class she and Dani will have together the whole school year. When they were signing up for classes last spring, it was Dani’s idea to take it together. Dani had always planned to take it, but when she found out that none of their friends had that same idea, she needed someone. And that someone—always—was Paige. The blonde was hesitant, because, truthfully, she’s only ever heard bad things about the class. The teacher’s good—Paige knows that, she had her for English her freshman year—but, according to some of Paige’s older friends that have since graduated, the class is apparently a shit ton of reading and too difficult for her own good. Yet, because it was Dani, Paige had agreed. And the thought of spending that hour with Dani every single day was enough to make the thought of tackling Shakespeare and Faulkner bearable (especially knowing that Dani would be there to help her). But now, as Paige steps into the typical flamboyant English type of classroom, the reality of what happened over the summer hits her like a tidal wave.
Dani’s already there, sitting in the middle row, her light brown hair pulled up into a messy bun. She looks tired, shoulders slightly hunched and dark circles under her eyes, gazing vacantly at her desk. Paige’s heart twists a little at the sight. It’s not as if Paige hasn’t seen Dani at all since their fight—she has. They live right next door to each other, of course she has. But it still hurts all the same. To be completely cut off with little to no explanation by your best friend who you also happen to be hopelessly in love with is fucking painful.
Paige hesitates in the doorway, her feet rooted to the ground as her eyes stay on Dani. She wants nothing more than to go to her, to sit beside her like they always have, to pretend that everything is okay, even if it’s not. But something in Dani’s posture, in the way she keeps her eyes downcast, warns Paige to stay back and keep her distance.
“Oh, Paige!” Mrs. Donovan, the AP Lit teacher, calls out in excitement as her eyes land on her student. She grins brightly—a bit too brightly for the early hour, Paige can’t help but think—and gestures to a desk. The one that’s— “You’re right behind Danielle!”
Dani doesn’t look up at the sound of her name, doesn’t bother to acknowledge Paige’s presence at all. The blonde swallows hard, forcing herself to move. She slides into the seat Mrs. Donovan gestured to, the one right behind Dani, her heart pounding against her rib cage. From this close, Paige can see the tension in Dani’s shoulders, the way her fingers tap anxiously against the surface of the desk. Paige can only imagine how Dani’s feeling—but, still, she’s usually mostly accurate. Dani’s always been more introverted, and new schedules, new routines, and new people tend to make her anxious. Paige can tell she’s feeling that way right now. Because, despite everything, Dani is still Dani. And Paige will always know Dani. The blonde wants to reach out, to say something—anything—but the words only stick in her throat.
As the bell rings and Mrs. Donovan starts the class, handing out syllabi and talking about what to expect for the year, Paige’s mind strays far from the discussion. Instead, she finds herself staring at the back of Dani’s head, thoughts and memories circling through her head with unwarranted clarity.
JULY 2013
THEY’RE ELEVEN years old, and the summer sun blazes over them as Paige and Dani sit on the swings at the park near their houses. It’s a place they’ve been coming to for years, one of their constants. In fact, it’s actually where they first met.
The air is thick with the scent of freshly cut grass, mingling with the sweet aroma of the cherry popsicles the girls devoured earlier. Paige’s legs pump the air lazily, the tips of her shoes grazing the ground, while Dani swings a bit higher, her hair flying out behind her like a banner in the wind. The worn-out metal creaks with each swing, a familiar sound that blends into the background of their laughter and chatter.
“Race you to the top!” Dani suddenly shouts, voice filled with a reckless enthusiasm that usually belongs in Paige’s instead. Without waiting for a response, Dani leaps off the swing, her feet hitting the ground with a soft thud, making a beeline for the jungle gym.
Paige’s laugh bursts out of her before she can help it, and she scrambles to follow, heart pounding with the thrill of the chase. “No fair, you started first!” she calls, her words trailing behind her as she races after her best friend.
They reach the platform that hovers above the slide, the same spot where Dani broke her arm years before. Paige remembers it vividly—how Dani had cried, the way her elbow was bent all weird, and how Paige had held her hand the entire car ride to the hospital. The spot is a little scarred now, but it doesn’t stop them from sitting side-by-side, legs dangling over the edge as they survey their world from above.
From this vantage point, Paige can see so much more. The neighborhood spreads out before them like a patchwork quilt, each house a different square, each tree a different shade of green. The sun casts long shadows, making the world below them seem like a dream, distant and hazy. There’s a stillness in the air, a peaceful quiet that Paige—for once—isn’t the one who breaks.
“P?” Dani asks, her voice quiet, almost hesitant.
Paige hums in question, keeping her gaze out before her instead of on the girl next to her. There’s something in Dani’s voice that makes her brain short circuit a little, a seriousness that doesn’t belong in the carefree world around them. “Yeah?” Paige asks, trying to sound light, though a small knot of worry forms in her stomach.
“Do you ever think about the future?” Dani’s words hang in the air between them, heavy and laden with thought.
Paige turns to look over at her now, eyebrows furrowed in surprise. Dani’s never been the type to dwell on what’s ahead—in fact, she says it scares her too much to even think about it. Instead, she usually submerges herself in now, living in the moment, seizing the day with both hands.
“What d’you mean?” Paige replies, voice soft, almost afraid to shatter whatever fragile thing Dani is holding onto.
Dani shrugs, her shoulders rising and falling with a casualness that doesn’t quite reach her eyes. “Like… what we’ll be like when we’re older,” Dani elaborates, bottom lip pulled between her teeth. “We’re starting middle school now, and I always hear things about friends drifting apart. I just wonder if, when we’re older—like high school or something—if we’ll still be friends. Or if things will have changed.” Dani keeps her eyes out on the horizon, expression thoughtful as Paige gazes at her.
Paige feels an odd tension in her stomach at the thought of losing Dani, of the possibility of their friendship fading away. It’s too painful, too much that would be taken at once, to even consider. Dani is Paige’s constant, her anchor in a world that sometimes feels too big and too overwhelming for the eleven-year-old. The idea that they could ever grow apart feels like a betrayal of everything they’ve ever promised each other.
“We’ll always be friends,” she says with confidence. Because, in what world could they not be? “Nothing will ever be able to change that, ‘kay?”
Dani finally looks back at Paige now, her expression softening, a small smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. Slowly, the seriousness begins to seep out of her. “Promise?”
Paige doesn’t hesitate, reaching out to hook her pinky around Dani’s. It’s a childish gesture that fits the friendship between two young girls. But this time, it’s true—a vow that they’re both determined to keep.
“Promise,” Paige echoes, squeezing Dani’s pinky with her own.
As they sit there, side-by-side on the playground, the world feels small and manageable, just for a little while longer. And, here and now, Paige allows herself to believe that nothing with ever come between her and Dani—no matter what.
PAIGE BLINKS, the memory fading just as their promise did. It hurts all over to think about the fact that she was so sure that nothing would ever come between them, that their friendship was absolutely unbreakable. But now, here they are, strangers but not at all, bigger walls being built between them each and every day.
The weight of that lost connection presses down on Paige’s chest, making it hard to breathe. Her lungs flare in and out. She wants—needs—to do something, to find a way to bridge the gap between them. But she just doesn’t know how, the silence and static between them far too heavy. And the fear that she might never get the chance to again is almost enough to make Paige’s lungs go out completely.
Mrs. Donovan’s voice drones on in the background, but Paige can’t focus on the words. All she can see is the back of Dani’s head, the way her highlights illuminate her brown hair at certain angles, the way she shifts uncomfortable in her seat every now and then, probably feeling the weight of the blonde’s gaze tearing into her back. It’s almost as if an invisible barrier has been built between them, one that Paige can’t tear down no matter how hard she tries.
Finally, the bell rings, signaling the end of class. Paige watches as Dani gathers her things quickly, avoiding eye contact with the blonde as she hurries out of the room. Paige lingers there for a second, heart sinking slightly as she watches Dani slip out the door, her back rigid, her steps quick and purposeful.
Paige feels a mixture of relief, dread, and—oddly enough—excitement. Relief that first period is over, dread at the thought of facing Dani again. But, at the same time, excitement about seeing Dani again. Because if this is the only time Paige can see her, if AP Lit is truly all Paige will ever be able to get out of the brunette again, she’ll take it. As pathetic as it sounds, she’ll take as much—or as little, she supposes—of Dani as she can get.
THE FOOTBALL game is the first big event of the back to school season, and Paige stands there in the student section with Thaliah and Amaya. It’s not like Paige has any particular interest in football; of course, she’s always preferred basketball. But she’s been in need of a distraction, something big and exciting enough to pull her out of the unfamiliar melancholy that’s settled over her, and it seems like a high school football game under the lights is the perfect choice.
The student section is alive with energy, the kids screaming and chanting things that they probably shouldn’t be as the game kicks off. Paige does her best to lose herself in the excitement. She screams along with her friends, sweating slightly under the setting sun, grabbing a Hawaiian lei excitedly when KK offers her one. It’s beach theme tonight—Paige tried to fit into it, wearing sunglasses and some beach button up with a white crop top, the lei helping to add to it.
But as Paige’s eyes drift along the players, along the field, along the track—her eyes land on her and it’s almost as if any and all excitement that had settled inside of Paige is whisked away, just like that. Dani stands on the sidelines, between the line of football players and the cheerleaders, her camera clicking away. It’s not like this is a new thing—Dani did this last year, for yearbook, and Paige shouldn’t be surprised to see her doing it again this year.
The Callan girl has always been passionate about photography, and it’s one of the many things that Paige has learned to love about her through the years. Paige knows that Dani has a way of almost losing herself in the click of her camera, finding beauty in the smallest details, the most mundane moments captured and crafted into something beguiling. Dani used to show Paige all the photos she’d taken, scrolling through the storage on the camera. The two of them would huddle over the device, and Paige would help her best friend pick the best photos for whatever project she was working on in yearbook.
And then, of course, there’s the other memory card that Dani has—the one that Paige knows is labeled “P.” It’s simple—all of the scattered photos that Dani has taken of Paige over the years, all put together on one little storage device. Dani told Paige several times that it was her greatest piece of work, merely because Paige was the star of it. Yet, for a while, Dani didn’t let the blonde look into it, keeping the memory card hidden away. But, eventually, Paige’s curiosity got the better of her and she’d found the card and scrolled through the photos. There were some from when Dani first got into photography, when they were much younger, with chubbier cheeks and more crooked smiles. A good amount was the photos Dani got of Paige court-side, some for the yearbook, some just reserved for the two of them. And then there was the candid ones—Paige remembers scrolling through them, and the look in her own eyes that stared at Dani from behind the camera… God, she remembers thinking that it seems she was whipped from the very beginning.
Paige’s heart clenches at the thought of that memory card, and wishes she was a photographer so she could have one of Dani. She’s got a fair few—or, well, a lot—of photos of Dani on her phone, but it’s just not the same. Faintly, Paige wonders what Dani’s done with the “P” card. Maybe she threw it away, crushed it into tiny little pieces, tossing it into the trash like she did her and Paige’s friendship. Or maybe—maybe—she’s kept it. Paige hopes it’s the latter; she imagines Dani, late at night, thinking of Paige like Paige has been thinking of her, and then going through the photos of her, wishing she could take back everything she said.
Paige almost rolls her eyes at her own thoughts. She’s almost sure Dani threw it away.
And then, the blonde is pulled out of her own head by the sound of the crowd erupting into a series of cheers, the band beginning to play. She glances at the field, then at the scoreboard, realizing she’s just missed a touchdown. Thaliah and Amaya and all the students around Paige are jumping up and down, chanting for Hopkins. Paige joins in, trying to drown herself in it, doing her best to put her mind to rest and just have some fun—she’s always been so good at that; she wishes it wasn’t so hard to do recently.
When the final whistle blows, signaling the end of the game, Hopkins pulls through with a narrow win. The crowd is excited for their first victory of the season, screaming those “start the buses” and “who’s your daddy” chants that Paige has always found ridiculously hilarious. Eventually, everyone begins to disperse, and Paige stands with Thaliah and Amaya, the three of them following the rush of students leaving the bleachers.
Amaya quickly tells Paige and Thaliah that she has to go to the bathroom, rushing towards the building. The other two girls stand around patiently, people watching their peers. Unsurprisingly, it doesn’t take long until Paige’s eyes once again find Dani’s frame. The brunette is packing up her camera gear, hauling a small duffel on her shoulder.
Thaliah follows the blonde’s gaze, nudging her gently. “You should go talk to her,” she says encouragingly, nodding towards Dani.
Paige shakes her head, her voice barely above a whisper. “She doesn’t want to talk to me.” It’s true; she remembers their last conversation—the cold look in Dani’s eye, the forced indifference, the river she rushed to drown Paige away.
“You’ve been miserable,” Thaliah says, point-blank. Paige’s eyes shift to her left, where the tanned girl stands beside her, brows furrowing in almost offense. “Don’t side-eye me like that—you know you’ve been miserable. And I think you’ve got nothing to lose these days when it comes to Dani, so you might as well just try.”
Paige doesn’t answer, eyes merely locking back onto her best friend. Without thinking, almost like her legs are moving of their own accord, the blonde starts walking towards Dani. She doesn’t know what she’s going to say, doesn’t know if Dani will let even let a word slip out of her mouth. But Thaliah’s right: it’s worth a shot. Paige can’t leave without even trying.
As she approaches, she watches Dani glance up, eyes meeting Paige’s. It lasts for only the briefest of seconds before Dani plainly averts her gaze, eyes anywhere but on the blonde walking up to her. Paige feels her heart stutter against her rib cage, threatening to sink at the sight, but, nevertheless, she keeps going, only stopping when she’s a few feet away from the brunette.
“Dani,” Paige murmurs, her voice soft, almost pleading. It’s all she can say; she doesn’t know what else to say.
The basketball player watches as her best friend’s body goes rigid, her hands stilling on her camera bag. It takes a second, but eventually Dani looks up, meets Paige’s gaze, brown on blue. There’s an unnameable emotion swirling within the Callan girl’s irises, and Paige wants nothing more than to step closer, to look deeper in them, to decipher exactly what’s going on in her best friend’s head. But she doesn’t. Paige stays rooted in place. And, for one, stupid moment, she believes that Dani might actually say something, that maybe this could be the first step in their repair.
But it doesn’t last.
“Dani!” multiple voices echo the name from the pair’s right. Paige turns to see Beau Hudson, still clad in his football gear and eyeblack, grinning and waving at Dani—his girlfriend, the blonde thinks, sickly—beckoning her over. He seeps with the same overconfidence he’s had the twelve years that Paige has known him, and it makes her blood boil over slightly. By his side is Serena Corren—a cheerleader that also happens to be Beau’s best friend, who’s famously known for her sharp tongue and dismissive attitude—also grinning and waving. Serena and Beau stand with a group that’s more than excited and impatient for Dani to join them.
Paige’s stomach twists at the sight. It’s clear that her best friend has integrated herself into this new crowd, one that Paige has always found superficial and unkind.
“I have to go,” Dani mutters to Paige, not meeting the blonde’s eyes. She slings her bag over her shoulder before hurrying off to her new friends, leaving Paige standing there, aching all over.
Paige watches Dani go, feeling like the weight of the world is pressing on her shoulders, weighing her down. She wants to scream, to cry, to do something to make Dani see that they don’t have to be like this, that they can fix whatever has gone wrong. But she can’t. So, instead, she just stands there, staring, missing her best friend.
Yes, Paige misses her. God, she misses her so much that it fucking hurts—it hurts her insides, her outsides, her bones, her skin. It makes her feel all wrong. Every part of her aches with the absence of Dani Callan, the loss of everything they’ve had. She misses Dani’s smile, the gleam in her eyes when she’d look at Paige, the giggles she’d let out whenever the point guard made a stupid joke. She misses the way Dani used to make her feel—alive, whole, like she could do whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted, as long as Dani was by her side.
But now all of that’s just—gone. And that’s clear as day as Paige watches Beau Hudson wrap his arm around Dani before pressing a firm kiss to her mouth.
She’s going to be sick.
Paige feels a hand on her arm, a head resting on her shoulder. It grounds her a little. Thaliah mumbles, “It’s gonna be okay, P.”
Paige doesn’t have the heart to say it, but she knows that’s not true. There is nothing okay with the fact that Dani is slipping—or, she supposes, has already slipped—through her fingers. There is nothing okay with the loneliness and pain that comes with it.
Paige doesn’t really know if anything will ever be okay again.

stiles stilinski: breakable heaven; pt 2, "it's new, the shape of your body. it's blue, the feeling i've got."
description: situationship x stiles stilinksi.
Tumblr media
"so, you didn't even fuck him?" danny leaned forward in his desk, whispering pathetically to y/n, who was seated in front of him.
stacking her textbooks onto her desk, y/n twisted around to face her friend. "sh!" she looked around with paranoia, hoping no one heard danny's loud mouth. she rolled her eyes back towards danny, "quiet down, idiot. no, we didn't fuck."
"why?!" danny groaned, planting his forehead in his hands, "you had the perfect opportunity!"
y/n shrugged, "i just wasn't ready. i still barely know the guy."
"you don't need to know his favorite color to have sex with him. it's supposed to be casual, remember?" danny reminded.
twisted around to face danny still, she crossed her arms over the curve of the top of the chair, "i know, i know. but, ugh, i don't know. i just want to know a little bit."
he replied, "just a little bit, though. you don't want to get too attached."
"yeah, no, of course," y/n trailed off, focusing her attention back to the front of the room as the teacher demanded the students' to listen.
y/n pulled her phone from her pocket as it buzzed. underneath her desk, she responded to stiles' text.
stiles stilinski: nah, literally. i understand the books weren't finished, but they didn't have to end the show the way they did.
y/n: i kinda liked how dany went off the rails, but it was way out of her character development. i'll have to text you later, class is starting, and i'll be busy the rest of the day. see ya!
stiles stilinski: no problemo, have a lovely day!
y/n quickly shoved her phone into the side pocket of her bookbag. she sat up in her seat, doodled across the top of her notebook with a new pen, and attempted to focus her eyes on the chalkboard as the teacher wrote out the lesson title.
but her mind was focused elsewhere.
"y/n," stiles moaned against her lips as his body pushed up against hers.
she grasped at the hairs curled at the nape of his neck, giggling slightly at his neediness. "yeah?"
stiles sighed, exasperatedly, "you're...so...pretty."
y/n grinned, interrupting their kissing. stiles pulled his head back slightly, "what? did i do something wrong?"
she shook her head, meeting his brown eyes, softer in the dim lighting. "no, you're perfect.”
stiles had drove her home after the hangout at danny's. he insisted on listening to taylor swift and continued to intently ask her questions about anything and everything.
when he dropped her off, he waited at the curb, jeep idling, until he saw he safely enter her house. it made her heart skip a beat.
then, when she closed the door, reality came crashing back down.
y/n showered, went to bed. she was coming off of her high, and she was remembering all of the awful details of the past summer. stiles became an afterthought.
she made the mistake of looking at a few photos in her phone. missed stiles’ text telling her he got home safely.
she texted him when she woke up. he immediately replied, assuring her it was okay for her late response. he made one comment on something insanely random, but they delved into a conversation about it.
it got cut short, as it was saturday, and y/n had to go straight to work. it was insanely busy i’m the restaurant she waitressed at, so y/n didn't get a chance to check her phone all day. she hoped, though, that stiles would text her. of course, she hoped sam would, too. but that was always a hope a heartbroken person carried, right?
even if they knew, logically, it made no sense. it wasn’t right.
stiles, he did message her. they continued to text, back and forth, all weekend long.
y/n didn’t agree that casual sex needed to exclude any and all forms of friendliness. the only thing that needed to be removed from the situation was feelings, beyond anything amiable. and that was easy as pie.
after class, y/n had a free period. and that was the last class of the day. so, she dumped some of her books off at her locker, and decided to head home for the day.
on her way out to her car, she texted stiles back.
y/n: how’s your day going?
he didn’t respond right away, which he normally did. but, she knew he was in english, and the new teacher was pretty strict about phone usage.
y/n opened the driver’s side door, tossed her book bag in, and went to slip into her seat when she heard her name being called. she looked to her left and saw stiles jogging across the parking lot.
y/n furrowed her brows, tilted her head, “shouldn’t you be in english?”
stiles came to a halt before her, hands on his hips, “what? oh, um-“ he looked behind him, as if the answer lied towards the lacrosse field, “i got let out early?”
that sounded like a question. “hm,” y/n smiled slightly, “you’re skipping class.”
“oh, you’re one to judge,” he shot back, “what’re you doing right now?”
“going home. i have a free period!” y/n defended, motioning back to the school building.
“mhm,” stiles nodded, “sure.”
y/n stared at him for a moment. she lifted her phone up, “i just texted you, by the way.”
stiles pulled his phone out of his jacket pocket, “oh, oh, here…” he typed out his response, and clicked send, proudly.
y/n smiled appreciatively, “i’m eager to hear your response to my riveting question. anyways, if you’re gonna skip class, do you think it’s a good idea to hang out in the parking lot?”
stiles leaned against the car beside y/n, “oh, probably not.” he looked like there was something else going on, and there was. y/n just didn’t know about all of the supernatural threats surrounding the school on any given basis. “but, i saw you and wanted to ask…”
“what’s up?” she stood up, eager.
stiles rubbed the back of his neck, a nervous tick, y/n noticed. “are you free tomorrow night?”
y/n nodded, probably too quick to respond, “yeah, absolutely.”
“okay, cool,” stiles pursed his lips. a beat of silence passed, and y/n tilted her head, encouraging him to continue. “oh, well, maybe i can finally meet your dog?”
“smooth,” y/n poked his shoulder, “text me when you’re leaving school. i’ll send you my address.”
stiles grinned, “really? cool, cool. i’ll- see you then.”
y/n climbed into her car, and stiles closed the driver’s door for her. she waved before pulling out of the parking lot.
stiles fist pumped the air.
he met back up with scott, allison, and isaac by his jeep. they were skipping class because the alpha pack in town was causing a load of harmful trouble. just another chapter in the book of the supernatural.
“what was that about?” scott asked, secretly for his friend.
stiles, pretending to be casual about the situation, placed his hands on his hips, shrugged. “nah, nothing. just made plans to chill tomorrow night. no big deal.”
scott didn’t want to pressure his friend. he simply nodded, smiling kindly. “sounds good.”
stiles shrugged, again, though scott could see right through him.
he could see right through his sarcastic, solid exterior, straight to the scared teenage boy with the giant heart he wore just under his sleeve.
and he knew, already, things were gonna get messy.
y/n took an everything shower when she got home at her free period. and, by everything- she did everything. shaved, exfoliated, scrubbed every pore on her skin, wrapped her body in masks, conditioners, body washes, hair treatments, a teeth whitening kit. everything.
she tried to present her makeup and hair casually, but y/n still put enough effort into both to make herself look better than average. she was dressed and ready to go as soon as stiles messaged her that he was leaving school. she replied with her address, and proceeded to pace the length of the front room of her house until he arrived.
y/n’s dog started barking, in response to a short knock from the front door. she shushed winnie, who was up in arms about the person outside; ears perked up, eyes alert. all german Shepard, guard dog-esque. y/n patted winnie’s head, calming her slightly, before unlocking and opening the door.
stiles stood there, posture hunched slightly, in jeans and his usual t-shirt combo. his palm was cupped in front of his mouth, as though he was smelling his breath. he met y/n’s eyes, coughed awkwardly, and quickly wiped his hands on his thighs.
“oh,” he cleared his throat, again, “sorry. uh- hi. sorry. just- smelling my breath!” stiles cringed at his own words and glanced at his feet. he scratched the back of his neck.
y/n giggled, “oh, my goodness. just come in.”
she stepped aside, motioning him into the house. winnie took this moment to run up to stiles, panting like she’d run a marathon. stiles responded with excitement, ushering the old girl inside while patting her fur and gushing with baby talk.
“oh, you’re so cute- oh, yes you are, yes, you are. you are gorgeous, sweet girl,” stiles crouched to winnie’s level. “this is winnie, right?”
y/n nodded appreciatively. he listened to her when she talked. “yep. she’s very happy to meet you.”
“i’m very happy to meet her- oh, yes, i am!” stiles accepted the kisses winnie offered.
“now you’re breath might smell!” y/n laughed, gently pushing winnie’s face from stiles’ mouth.
stiles stood back up straight, though winnie continued to nudge him with her snout.
“you can take your shoes off,” y/n instructed. stiles followed suit, kicking his converse off towards the side, with the other shoes.
stiles moved further into the house, peering around the corner, into the living room, then on the other side, into the kitchen. “are…your parents home?”
y/n met his eyes and smiled gently. “no,” she shook her head. “they’re out of town this week.”
“so, you’re all alone? in this giant house?” stiles walked through the kitchen. outside the big picture windows was nothing but woods. she lived only a few minutes from school, but, “in the middle of…nowhere?”
y/n giggled, again, looking out the window, too, “yeah. i used to be scared, but you get over it. they’re out of town a lot.”
she didn’t know why stiles became worrisome. she didn’t really notice the creases deepen in his forehead, or the constant thought that would now exist in his mind. she didn’t know about the supernatural. she didn’t know of the massive threat looming right over her throat every single day.
“that’s…” stiles met her eye. she frowned slightly because he looked freaked out. he covered up his concern, “you should throw a party. yeah, that would be sick.“
she shrugged, “yeah, maybe. i don’t know, that’s a lot of work. i’d be stressed the whole time. wouldn’t be able to enjoy myself cause i’d be worried about people fucking up the house.
“well, that’s why you have me. i can co-host. we can worry together,” stiles nudged her with his elbow.
she looked up at him, shoulder brushing his, goofy grin on her face. “okay, yeah…i’ll take you up on that offer sometime. maybe next weekend. after the game?”
stiles gave her a thumbs up, “nothing better than getting shit faced after being hit with lacrosse sticks for three hours.”
y/n laughed, loudly. she wrapped her hand around stiles shoulder, leaning in as the noise rang from her throat. people were usually sick of his sarcasm after being around him longer than 24 hours. she seemed ever-appreciative of it. his bareskin tingled beneath her fingers. he sweat a little, breathed a little heavier.
feeling no sense of self control, stiles grabbed her by the hips, pushed his lips up against hers. he pressed her back up against the kitchen island, nearly tossing them both to the floor from his rush. she yelped, slightly. but she managed to balance herself, squeezed her eyes shut, and wrapped her fingers up in his hair.
they continued moving against each other, lips sloppy together. stiles had little to no experience, save for the few times he had made out with a girl. but, his expertise ended there. he’d, obviously, read- watched- a lot about that. there were a few tricks he’d been keeping up his sleeve. and this was finally his moment.
he situated his hands back on her hips, as they’d wandered up her torso. using all of his strength, stiles lifted y/n up onto the kitchen counter. she gasped, surprised by his muscle. she met his eyes, pupils blown out, mouth swollen, hair in disarray. once she was situated on top, stiles moved back in for her lips.
y/n fought the smile crawling out of her mouth. she focused on his shoulders, his arms, his chest. she reached the bottom of his shirt and began to slowly, painfully, pull it over his head. stiles quickly helped her toss it across the kitchen.
his lips aimed for her, but she took the upper-hand by steadying his shoulders. she first kissed the nape of his neck, which caused his breathing to completely shorten. she smiled as she felt his heart thump against his throat. as y/n nipped her way up and down his neck, rolled his ear lobe between her teeth, stiles moved his hands back to her body.
every once and a while, he’d shudder under her touch, let out a little breathless moan. at the same time, his fingers would clench whatever piece of skin he was touching. at first, her hips, then her sides, then her breasts. she moaned at this accidental movement, and stiles smiled to himself.
stiles gently pulled her shirt up and off. she dropped her head back to his neck, intending to continue her battle there. but, stiles cupped either one of her breasts in his hand, gently squeezing again. he felt goosebumps tickle all up and down her skin, and saw them rise on the curve of her breasts. he didn’t know where his confidence was coming from, but he leaned forward, and kissed the hills on her skin.
y/n’s forehead dropped to stiles’ shoulder, sweet sounds escaping her lips. he delicately swept his fingers around the edge of her bra, to the back, where the clasp was. before he could try to undo it, y/n pulled back. the way she looked at him- stiles swore he could fall apart from that gaze.
“as much as i’m enjoying this, i’d rather not fuck on my kitchen counter,” y/n steadied her hands on his shoulders.
stiles grinned, stepped back, helped her land on the floor, on her feet. before she could move past him, stiles dipped his head low, grabbed her jaw between his hand, and kissed her fiercely. y/n’s knees knocked together.
and she led him to her room.
when he left, y/n showered, again. she was sweaty, and he lingered on her skin like frostbite. showers always made her feelings irrepressible, like they were being sucked out of her lungs by the water.
she cried.
and it wasn’t befause stiles was terrible at sex. no, he was good. he’d made her feel good. he drew movement from her she didn’t know was possible.
it was everything else.
it was sam. it was the endless summer she had felt come to a stubborn, painful close. it was the ugly feeling he had left lingering on her skin.
she didn’t she’d ever get over it- him. he’d be etched into her like stretch marks. he pulled her apart, stretched her thin, and punched holes everywhere he could. left a brutal, bruising mark.
all because he was too scared to try.
she wanted to call danny afterwards, to tell him all about. to ask for solace from him in her confusing heartbreak. but, it felt too burdening.
stiles texted her when he got home, shortly after she got out of the shower. she thanked him, she didn’t know why, but she thanked him. she was grateful. he made her feel worthy. hell, he’d spent half the time in her sheets worshipping and praising her body, her lips, at her hips like an altar.
it was almost overwhelming. but it felt good. he felt good. everywhere.
he thanked her back with some witty, thoughtful message. she wanted to text back, but a conversation felt like too much right now. she needed to rest her weary heart.
besides, this was all casual…right? she wasn’t obligated to text him back. it didn’t matter if she did. she didn’t care if she did.
right?
“and then what happened?” danny slammed his hands down on the table between them, leaning his face close to y/n’s.
the smack of his palms resounded throughout the library, garnering hushes from the independent study instructor, and glares from the other students. y/n looked around, embarrassed, before shoving danny’s face away with her own hand.
“shut up!” y/n shushed him herself. “don’t have to tell the whole school how i fucked stiles stilinksi!”
she said it in a whisper, but danny still heard it. he cheered, loudly, jumping up and out of his seat. y/n stood, too, grabbing his biceps and trying to calm him down. she shot apologetic glances to her fellow classmates. coach blew his whistle, causing danny and y/n to whip their heads his way.
“that’s it! if you can’t study independently, you can’t study at all! get out, go home, go to the alley by the gas station and buy drugs, i don’t care! just don’t stay here!”
he ushered them out the door, and they barely managed to grab their things before the library was shut tightly behind them. y/n smacked danny across the chest, but he barely winced.
she pumped her legs, hard, moving down the hall away from him. danny followed, quick, singing, “she just had sex! y/n finally had sex!”
stopped at her locker, y/n rolled her eyes, and tried to quiet danny down. “literally- danny! i won’t tell you anything if you don’t shut the fuck up! please!”
danny groaned and leaned up against the locker. nevertheless, he shut the fuck up. “please tell me more before i combust!”
y/n waved him off as she shoved some books into her locker. “we had sex. it was good- like, really, weirdly, mysteriously good.” she emphasized the word, shooting danny a confused look.
his jaw was dropped, “be for real. right now. no way- stilinksi? stiles stilinksi?”
y/n nodded with a look of surprised assurance. “i know. and- like, sure, he’s not at all experienced. but, he somehow knew what to do. plus- oh, my god…” y/n trailed off, gesturing to the floor with head, her eyes widened.
danny’s mouth opened further, if at all possible, “no fucking way! no way. i refuse to- how big?”
he put his hands out beside each other in the air, about three inches apart. y/n shook her head, offended. he opened the space further, until y/n nodded, smirking.
danny slapped a palm over his mouth, “holy fuck! stiles stilinksi-“ he said, shocked, before he repeated, “stiles stilinksi,” impressed.
“i know,” y/n shrugged. she shut her locker.
danny began walking towards the exit, y/n falling in step beside him. “you lucky bitch. so, do you think it’ll be a regular thing? are you gonna do it- him- again?”
danny held the door open for her. she stepped through with a shrug. “i would fucking love to. but, i don’t know. he hasn’t said anything since. we’ve just been texting about other shit.”
“like, what?” danny inquired.
y/n pulled out her phone, where a fresh, unread text from stiles sat patient. “like, right now, we’re discussing his favorite band. music, in general, i guess.”
danny scoffed, “be for real.”
“bitch,” y/n shoved him, “what?”
“discussing music,” he tsked his tongue. “that’s how it always starts. before you know it, you’re married in the burbs with a baby and a dog.”
“shut up,” y/n shoved her phone back into her pocket, self conscious about responding, now. “you know i don’t want that. i’m not interested in dating. i’m moving away in less than a year and- and…”
she trailed off, but danny knew what her distant look meant. “sam,” he filled in the gap. “i know,” he touched her arm lovingly.
y/n looked up at him with her sad, puppy dog eyes. “fucking- ugh. i hate him.”
“i know, babe,” danny comforted. “at least you don’t have to see him. at least he’s off at college.”
“it’s sad, though,” she opened her car door and dumped her backpack inside. leaned up against the side of the vehicle, she elaborated, “i saw him almost every single day, over the summer. and then he just- i don’t know.”
“tells you he loves you while breaking up with you? i do know. he’s a fucking pussy. and you deserve better. he was manipulative as fuck, anyways,” danny waved off the issue at hand. “i don’t know, just…i don’t know. stiles is weird. i don’t really know him that well. he doesn’t seem like he’d fuck you over, but it’s just that tricky line of friends with benefits. it almost always leads to someone getting hurt.”
y/n picked at a piece of dirt on the side of her car, focused on danny’s words. “i think we’re both smart enough that we won’t let that happen. we both know what we want from each other- sex. strictly. nothing else. it’s black and white.”
“oh, love,” danny patted her shoulder, “nothing is ever black and white.”
danny bid farewell, hugging his friend tightly, with a saddened gaze shot her way. she was distant, stuck in her head, thinking over her words.
it didn’t matter. it really didn’t. she didn’t want anything from stiles, but sex. she didn’t want an attachment. so, she simply wouldn’t form one.
it didn’t matter if they were discussing music. it didn’t matter if she knew what made his cheeks crinkle into a smile. it didn’t matter if she was learning his favorite colors depended on the seasons, or that his dad was his role model. it didn’t matter.
she had boundaries, and she could keep them.
she could.
couldn’t she?

4 in the morning and insomnia has its grip on you. But so does she. She holds you close, her arm around you even while she sleeps.
It was almost completely silent. The world was yet to wake, the songbirds yet to sing. You could only hear her breathing and the hum of the fan you had in your small bedroom. This early the air was chilly, even in summer, so you decide to turn it off, knowing she hated being cold.
Sensing your movement, she stirs a little.
"Baby? You're up already?"
"Yeah, I can't sleep," you whisper. "Sorry if I woke you. I just wanted to turn the fan off cuz I thought you'd feel cold."
"I'll be fine as long as you're in my arms. So come back already and cuddle!"
You always found it cute to hear her usually bright voice sort of low in the morning. Something only you had the pleasure of hearing. You quickly do as you're told and scoot back into her warm embrace.
"How long have you been up?"
"Don't really know. Been in and out of sleep since 2:30 or something."
"Oh nooo! I wanna have a stern talk with whoever's responsible for my baby's lack of sleep!"
"I think that would be me. Just insomnia things. Also don't be so loud, Dani. It's still really early," you say, quietly laughing.
"Oops! Sowwy," she whispers. "Well, I'll stay up with you until you fall asleep again. Wanna talk about stuff until you feel sleepy?"
"Like what stuff?"
"I don't know! Random stuff!"
"Dani..."
"Agh, sorryyy," she whispers again. "But, yeah, just random stuff."
"How about pet names?"
"That sounds fun! What kind of animal are we talking here?"
"For each other, silly."
"Oh!" You feel her arms tighten around you. "That's nice, too."
You smile to yourself then quickly turn around to look at her.
"So I was thinking - you're Ariel, right?"
"Oh no. You're gonna tease me about that, too?"
"Well, not really. I was just gonna call you 'princess'."
She instantly smiles and in the soft glow of the morning twilight you see her blushing. She quickly looks up at the ceiling and hides her face with her hands.
"I guess you like that one."
Speechless, she replies instead with a squeal that you were sure would wake up the neighbors.
"Dani! Calm down!" But you were barely keeping your laughter under control yourself.
"Man, you can't just drop that out of nowhere at 4 in the morning!"
All you can do is keep laughing.
"But you like it?"
"A little too much," she says, finally looking at you. "Can I call you that, too?"
"But which one would I be?"
"None of them! You're just my princess."
"I..." She got you back. Speechless. You just bite your lip and take your turn to look at the ceiling. You see a hint of pink reflecting from outside and feel her eyes still on you.
"Hey. I love you, my princess," she whispers in your ear before kissing your cheek.
And you take your turn to bury your face in your hands.
"The sky looks so pretty!" she exclaims before you get a chance to reply. "Wanna go watch the sunrise outside?"
"Then I definitely won't be able to fall back asleep. How about we just watch the ceiling change colors?"
"Oh, that's a good idea, too. Sounds cozy." She takes a deep breath. "We should do this more often - watch the sunrise together."
"Are you saying you want me to keep having insomnia?" you tease.
"No! Of course not. I'm just saying whenever you can't sleep, don't hesitate to wake me up. So we can be together."
"You're so sweet, Dani." You take hold of her hand and kiss her cheek in return. "I love you, too, by the way."
You fall asleep as the pink turns to gold.

Hey! I just came across your Amnesia AU on AO3 and I absolutely adore it 💖
Hope you are doing well and if you don't mind me asking, will you be continuing the story?
Really love your writing!!
Heya! Thank you so much for the lovely words! Yes I will definitely definitely definitely finish it! I feel like I cannot feel peace until I see a "completed" in its blurb haha.
I'm in the midst of my battling masters, but once I have my dissertation submitted I will 100% dive back into uploads😭💖
In the meantime, this is a snippet from a future chapter which, the god-of-dissertations willing, will be uploaded sometime later this summer!
“Cake.” Max repeats, and then frowns.
“Yes. Would you like some,” Daniel asks slowly, and Max blushes again.
“Oh sorry. Yes. Some cake would be nice.”
Daniel laughs as he leads him to the refreshment table. There’s only a little left, but enough for a slice or two.
“It’s lemon,” he tells Max, a note of pride in his voice. “I have it every birthday.” Normally you’re the one baking it and we can sit in the sun on the balcony of our Monasque flat and eat it together, but beggars can’t be choosers, and you’re here now so that’s enough.
“Oh, no thank you.”
“What?” Daniel frowns at him, knife suspended above the cake.
“I’m okay, but thank you though,” Max repeats politely. “I’ll get some water for myself and -“
“What,” Daniel similarly repeats himself. “It’s cake.”
“I know,” Max smiles. “But I don’t like lemon cake. So it’s okay.”
“You do though.”
His brows knit together. “No I don’t.”
“Yes you do,” Daniel puts down the knife, turning to face Max fully. “It’s lemon cake.”
“I know, you said that already,” Max says, sounding equal parts amused as confused.
“But,” he gestures at it. “It’s lemon cake. You like lemon cake.”
“No I don’t,” Max frowns, and Daniel frowns back.
“Is this something new from the accident?” He asks, and can immediately tell it was the wrong thing to say by how Max’s frown hardens. “It is, like a change in tastes, and -“
“No of course,” he replies in a clipped tone. “My tastes have stayed exactly the same - I just don’t like lemon cake. I’ve never like lemon cake.”
“But you have,” Danie insists. “You always would eat it. You sometimes even baked it, and then you would eat it and-“
“That can’t have been me,” Max says dismissively. “You’re thinking of someone else. I’ve never liked lemon cake. Ask my mother, I don’t like any citrus fruit, even since I was a kid. They’re way too bitter, but especially lemons,” he shakes his head. Daniel realises that in all the years he’s known Max, he’s never actually seen him eat orange or grapefruit or drank margaritas or classic daiquiris or even put lemon juice on his salads. The realisation washes over him, and he looks down at the lemon cake, remembering all the times Max had carefully made it for him because it was Daniel’s favourite cake, all the time he had sat beside Daniel with his own small slice, smiling as Daniel complimented Max on the taste.
“Sorry,” Max says, sounding embarrassed again. “I didn’t mean to be rude. I’m sure it’s a lovely cake, but like I said, I just -“
“But why would you have eaten it before then, if you don’t like lemon cakes?” Daniel interrupts him. Max blinks, and then shrugs.
“Like I said, couldn’t have been me."

AGOT; Bran I
Prologue ↔ Catelyn I
Preface
I was thinking about including a chapter summary in the post but also didn't want to fluff the post because I'd always meant for these to be relatively small, input would be lovely! (Also if it wasn’t obvious Big G is George. In the clerb we all fam.)
Tumblr media
Chapter Summary
Ah Bran, the sweet summer child is he not? From my memory, I typically tended to enjoy his chapters in AGOT, ACOK on the other hand was a coin toss but mostly because I only recently interacted with the material through audiobook as I work around machinery so my attention wanes. I would also rather spend my breaks sleeping than reading. I'm going to make it a habit to read before bed however because my screen time is wild.
Anyhow, Eddard graying at 35 feels normal for the time period ASOIAF is set and I'm only commenting on it because I'm still younger than Ned and already graying... I'm just a jealous hater with premature graying. I love how Bran gives the reader insight on the softer side of Ned. He is a boy who loves his father and Ned is a father who loves his children.
He had a grim cast to his grey eyes this day, and he seemed not at all the man who would sit before the fire in the evening and talk softly of the age of heroes and the children of the forest.
Thanks for the tears Big G. I think it’s fairly obvious that it’s Gared being executed here and you know what, this man got the easy way out. He was saved from so much bullshit, you will be missed king!!
When it comes to the Valyrian sword, Ice, I’ve always wondered what GRRM meant by spell-forged. ASOIAF obviously has magical elements so it could literally mean spells/incantations especially since during ASOS when Ice is eventually melted down and forged into two swords and Danys dragons are well grown into the world which IIRC people remark that magic has returned to the world. This is also supported by the fact that in ACOK, the pyromancers produce wildfire much faster and question if dragons roam the world again. But I digress, it’s still boggling just how large Ice is on its own, realistically that sword would stand taller than me by a good chunk, it deeply bothered me how in the show the blades weren’t dark similar to how they were described to be in the books.
Also that unnecessarily long ass title for King Robert just to execute someone. I know my AuDHD ass would’ve triggered someone. I wouldn’t survive a day in ASOIAF, at best I’d be that guy playing the horn in Shrek 2 when Fiona’s parents letter is being delivered.
You could also infer that at this point on Theon really won’t get a-head in life (shoot me for that). Robb and Jon just guys being dudes (which i adore). I can also tell why I loved Jon as a teenager he was literally my TYPE. Stoic twinkerbells for the win.
Theon Greyjoy said, “There’s not been a direwolf sighted south of the Wall in two hundred years.”
“I see one now,” Jon replied.
Jon being an ass but I excuse everything Jon does. 100 points to House Snow. It always bothered me how they refer to Rickon as a baby despite his being 3 but I understand why he would be called that in ASOIAF world since infant/child mortality is so high, just something I nitpick at all the time throughout the books tbh.
Jon petitioning to keep the direwolf pups was always such a heart moment and a great introduction to his character, especially through the eyes of Bran, his little brother who regards him well. Near the end of the chapter, Jon gets his own pup of course. I was always under the impression (after learning about R+L) that Ghost was the earliest sign that Jon was a Targ. Of course it’s not book canon (yet perhaps) but it is canon in the show also known as the dumpster fire of Dave and Dan. Someone needs to hold me and Big G away from them. I digress.
I know there is a theory that Bloodraven had Jon Snow find Ghost and I think it could be plausible. Could. I’m not inclined to think one way or the other entirely since none of the other characters made comment or validated what Jon had heard, Bran clearly didn’t hear anything aside from the sounds of ambience but I also assume that Jon had acquired the attention of the others as the text says:
They watched him dismount where the direwolf lay dead in the snow, watched him kneel.
But again, I was never fully inclined to think more one way than the other when it came to this little theory. It’s nice food for thought. And if it’s true, stay away from the children, Bloodraven. I’m watching you…

I love writing fairy tales (or things with a fairy tale tones) and to me, this is just splendid. Cinderella is also my favorite and I combined elements of the Disney live action remake (2015) and the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. Cinderella AU, Ella!Jon, Prince(ss) Charming!Dany, and an unexpected happy ending. (Available on FFN)
this town's too small too keep secrets — The completed first installment of my High School AU Series. Originally, the whole series was meant to be a single one shot based off a country song but the muse to write a whole series of oneshots hit me like a truck and so I wrote this one as a sort of framing device for all the ones to follow. High School Jonerys, High School RobbxMargaery, lots of inter-personal drama from the parents, Friday Night Lights vibes.
A Christmas Coincidence — The first installment of a series dubbed The Brie-mark Channel. Submitted for Jonerys Winter Wonderland 2k22, this was my first time writing a oneshot like this and I just love the way it turned out. If you want holiday nostalgia, good vibes romance all wrapped into one, then I highly suggest this one.
sad beautiful tragic — Submitted for Jonerys Remix 2023. This one will be slow to update but the first act is up. This was my first time not doing a true 1:1 remix and instead choosing elements about the pairing (Anna/Vronsky (Anna Karenina) for this one) that were intriguing. This is definitely more serious than anything I have ever written before and I am living for the challenge. Adultry, implied age difference/maturity difference, Up-and-Coming Actor!Jon, Actress!Dany reclaiming her career and finding a perhaps misguided sense of self in the meantime. There's drama, angst, I believe it was also described as "a fresh take on Hollywood Noir" so do with that what you will. (Thanks @jellybeanficwriter for that comment, I think about it ALL. THE. TIME.)
As per usual, I'm opening this up to anyone who wants to share their fics! Boast, gloat, and share your lovely art with us!

Just FRIENDS (Until We're Not)
Summary: Meeting your girlfriend's dad for the first time doesn't go quite as planned
Sorta proofread, fluff, and slight angst if you squint
WC: 2.4k
Dani x Reader oneshot
Tumblr media
Dani didn’t talk about her dad often, so you were so surprised when she asked you to go to Portland to visit him. Dani looked at you with a slightly annoyed look, waiting for your answer but it wasn’t because of you. She didn’t want to visit her dad, but if she had to, she’d like to have you with her so she’s not alone all day. You agreed since you loved going down to the Portland area and loved spending time with your girlfriend more.
The day of the trip, you noticed Dani was more on edge than she normally would’ve been. Dani didn’t say much when you got into her car and just pulled out of the driveway. It was quiet for most of the drive, other than her Spotify playing on the car stereo. From what you knew about the situation, Dani and her dad had a very strained relationship since she was 10 and her parents split; she had to visit her dad for about a week every summer. It was supposed to be more, but as she got older, she pushed back on visiting often. You tried to find out why she didn’t like her dad, but every time, she would give you a vague answer and then completely change the subject.
At one point during the drive, Dani pulled into a gas station to fill her car and get another energy drink, her third one of the trip. You got out of the car and followed her, carefully grabbing her hand, trying to gauge what kind of mood she was in as of now. Dani glanced down but didn't do anything. She opened the fridge and grabbed 3 energy drinks. You grabbed your favorite snack and followed her to the counter to pay. “And a lighter too.” Dani said as she grabbed her wallet to pay. She grabbed the stuff, and headed back out to her car to pay for her gas.
When you both got back into her car, you finally broke the silence. “Why’d you grab a lighter?” You asked her quietly. Your girlfriend didn’t normally keep lighters on her, and if she does have a lighter, it’s not hers; it was something left behind by her friends. Dani started the car, “My dad has me pick one up for him from the gas station when I get to Portland, so might as well get it done now.” You nodded, glancing at her free hand. You kept talking to her about anything that came to your mind. She would nod in agreement to show that she was listening or chime in with her opinion on something. Eventually, you tried to carefully approach the subject of her dad. “So… are you excited to go to Portland?” You discreetly asked, hoping she wouldn’t catch on. “Not really, but it’ll be nice to be there with someone instead of playing video games while my dad works.” She replied, looking at the road. “Oh, what does your dad do?” You asked carefully. “I don’t know, I think accounting for some big company.” She said, reaching for her open energy drink. You nodded, looking back at the road. “Okay… so why’d you invite me this time?” You asked, Dani had always tried to keep you out of her business with her dad, so what changed her mind this time? “I told him I was bringing a friend with me this visit, so it wouldn’t completely suck.”
You nodded slightly at those words, your heart aching slightly when Dani called you a friend. You two had been together for almost all of junior year, She introduced you to her mom as her girlfriend, all her friends knew you as her girlfriend, hell, you were on her snap stories more than she was and 90 percent of her camera roll was either pictures of you or pictures of her you took. So why was she calling you “a friend” to her dad? “Don’t worry about it, babe… we’re still gonna have fun while we’re there.” Dani said, reaching over to give your hand a slight squeeze. The conversation soon died again and you fell asleep.
You woke up when Dani’s car finally came to a stop. You were at her dad’s apartment complex, it wasn’t anything too fancy but it looked nice from the outside. Dani grabbed her phone and hesitantly called her dad to let him know that you had arrived. She looked nervous as she dialed his number. You saw that look on Dani’s face only a handful of times, you reached over to try and hold her hand to comfort her somewhat. You didn't know why she was so nervous, normally she acts annoyed whenever her dad gets brought up. You had tried to ask Dani’s mom in the past about why Dani and her dad didn’t get along.
“He’s not answering.” Dani said as she put her phone down. “Do you want to go up to his apartment and see if he’s home?” You asked her unbuckling your seatbelt. “Sure why not.” Dani said doing the same. You both got out of the car and walked up the 2 flights of stairs to her dad’s apartment. Dani knocked on the door and you heard a muffled sound thst sounded like someone talking. You stood behind Dani slightly as her dad answered the door. When you saw her dad, you were a little shocked. You were expecting someone more rough-looking, but her dad was in a button-up and a bowtie and looked like an accountant. “Danielle? When’d you get here? Why didn’t you call?” Her dad asked as he opened the door wider.“It’s Dani dad… no one’s called me Danielle since like 5th grade. And I did call but there was no answer.” She said standing in front of you a little more as her dad’s dog came out into the hallway. Hearing Dani being called Danielle felt weird, you obviously knew that’s what Dani’s short for, it wasn’t really a secret. But it sounded so soft and delicate… kinda the opposite of Dani. You knew her as the brash and tough hockey player, but Danielle made it sound like she took ballet and etiquette classes. “Oh right, sorry about that. It’s an old habit.” Dani nodded slightly. “When’d you get your eyebrow pierced? Does your mother know about it?” Her dad asked slightly concerned. “Yeah, Mom knows, she took me to get it done. She didn’t really care” You laughed slightly at Dani’s half lie. While Dani’s mom did take her to get it done, it was after she caught her trying to do it herself. Dani rolled her eyes slightly at your giggle as she walked into her dad’s apartment with you in tow. Dani introduced you to her dad. You nodded politely and shook his hand. “It’s so nice to meet you. I don’t meet Dani’s friends often.” He said as he shook your hand. You glanced over at Dani and she looked away. “Yea… me and Dani are really good friends….” You said as you sat across from Dani.
Dani showed you to her room and set the bags on the floor. You were spread out on her bed on your phone when she sat next to you. Her dad had left to go get dinner so it was just you two alone in the apartment. Dani laid on top of you, something she often did when she knew she was in the wrong about something with you. You glanced at her before going back to scrolling on instagram. You scratched where her undercut was without looking down from your phone. “He wouldn’t get it….” She mumbled into your shoulder. You hummed in response, setting your phone down. “What do you mean?” You asked shifting your attention over to her. She looked up at you “He wouldn’t get that we’re dating.” You stopped scratching her head for a minute and furrowed your brows. “He’s not homophobic, he just doesn’t know I’m lesbian.” She said as she laid her head on your shoulder. “That’s why I told him we’re friends. I don’t want you to be mad about it or think you’re not my girlfriend.” Dani mumbled. You went back to playing with her hair and sighed slightly. You two laid together for a while longer quietly. Dani heard the front door open and sat up to go help her dad get the table set before he could walk in on the scene between you two.
You and Dani sat across each other at the table. The air felt tense and heavy between the two of you, the conversation you had before dinner still weighed on your mind. “How was your drive girls?” Dani’s dad asked, breaking the silence. “It was long, but good. It’s a really nice drive.” Dani responded, not looking up from her food. You could tell she was thinking about the situation just as much as you were. Her dad kept asking about the drive, making sure that you were both safe and Dani would give short quick responses in return.
After dinner was done, you and Dani sat on the couch while her dad cleaned up. You laid your legs across her lap while she flipped through channels on the TV, eventually landing on some random game. You were scrolling on your phone, when you felt her move your legs off her. You looked at her slightly confused but she didn’t look at you. Her dad came over and sat in the chair near the couch and watched the game. You watched the game for a little but before getting up and going back to her room to get ready for bed.
It was around 11 when Dani came back to the room. You were laying on your stomach and didn’t notice when she came in until she laid on top of you. You let out a surprised squeak and tried to push her off of you. “Dani!” you said laughing still trying to get her off. “What? I’m not doing anything.” She said still laying on top of you and not moving.
Eventually she got off and laid next to you. “What do you want to watch?” Dani asked, grabbing her computer from off her nightstand. Dani opened up netflix on her computer and looked for something to watch. “We should watch The Notebook again.” You said laying your head on her shoulder. She made a gagging noise “Not again. You’ve watched that movie so many times you know every line from that movie.” “It's a classic.” You told her looking at her computer screen, trying to find something to watch. “It’s a sapfest, and you cry every single time.” You rolled your eyes and Dani put on what you guys were watching a few nights ago when you were over at her mom’s house for a movie night.
The next few days followed the same routine. You and Dani acted like friends when her dad was around and when he was at work, you two were able to act like you normally would.
On the 4th day of your visit, you and Dani were laying on the couch together when the front door opened. “Hey girls. I was able to get off early. Is there anything you want to go-” He stopped mid sentence. Obviously it was a little shocking seeing his daughter and her “friend” cuddling on the couch together. You and Dani both looked up and quickly separated. “I can explain.” Dani said, looking at the floor. She had a tight feeling in her chest, she could either lie her way out of it or tell the truth and get it over with. “Y/N isn’t my friend…. We’re dating… and have been for almost a year…”  She said looking still looking at the floor. The silence afterwards was heavy and thick. You had never been in a more awkward situation before. Dani was tense, you reached over to hold her hand and traced shapes into the back of it trying to help her calm down. “Dani… I know…” Her dad said, breaking the silence. “What? You do?” she said looking up shocked. “Your mom mentioned it briefly when she was calling to remind me that you were bringing your ‘friend’ with you.” He said sitting on the chair near the couch. Dani was still processing that her dad knew and her mom was the one that told him. “And… you’re okay with it?” She asked. He nodded quietly looking between you and her. “You were never subtle about liking girls either… everytime we brought up you bringing home a boy you made a face and changed the subject.” You laughed quietly at that, you knew that face Dani made, she made it quite often when someone brought up something she didn’t like. “And you post her on your instagram a lot.” He added. Dani had forgotten that her dad follows her on instagram, one of the few ways her dad tried to stay in the loop with what is going on in her life. And of course you were one of the main reasons she even posted on instagram. Dani felt the weight lifted off her shoulders that her dad knew her little “secret”. “So is there anything else you want to tell me?” Her dad asked. You both shook your heads. Dani’s dad nodded and got up from the chair, leaving the two of you alone once again.
You both sat next to each other on the couch again. Dani let out a breath she didn’t know she was holding and looked at you with relief. You smiled at her sweetly. “Well that’s good…. Now we don’t have to be as careful.” Dani nodded “Yea…” You noticed that she still seemed tense about something. You reached over and rubbed her shoulder. “You okay?” You asked her quietly. She nodded slightly, “Yea, it’s just that I wasn’t expecting him to already know… I mean I thought it would go a little different.” You nodded slightly, understanding what she meant. You knew she wanted to tell her dad eventually, probably when she was in college. Dani laid her head in your lap. “I kinda thought this would go differently… I mean we can pass as friends right?” You played with her hair. “We skip class and hide in the bathroom to be alone together… that doesn't sound like something friends do.” Dani rolled her eyes. “Shut up.”
Eventually you both fell asleep on the couch tangled together. You two were finally at ease. Dani no longer had to worry about telling her father she was gay. She felt relieved that he accepted her and that she had an awesome girlfriend to be there with her.

Mesmerized
Chapter 4
Word count:4043
Eddie pov
I haven't been able to get Dani out of my head. I know I always had one night stands but she was different.I was mesmerized by her beauty, her voice and her eyes and she reminded me of someone but couldn't remember who.
There was something about her that drove me crazy.
I don't know what drug she gave me or what kind of witchcraft shit she did on me but I think I was in love. Maybe I'm being over dramatic but shit I never believed in love at first sight but I think I do now .
Fuck !! Maybe I'm being a little too crazy or like Gareth tells me the pussy was too good that made me goo goo for her .
But whatever it was I couldn't stop thinking about her .
Her smile.
Her eyes.
Her lips .
Her red hair .
Her hands.
Her legs.
She was like a drug to me, a drug I had once and now I had to have every time. If not I would go crazy. I need her. I had to have her again but I had to wait till I got out of school .
Jesus Christ Eddie get a grip of yourself she is just a girl a one night stand it didn't mean anything but somehow it did it shouldn't .
Maybe it was the fact that she spent the night with me or that we cuddled afterwards .
Whatever it was, she put a spell on me .
Getting ready for school still sucks in high school. What a dumbass I was. this year was my year I was graduating the year ,I was a senior year for the third time.Shit happen the first year of 12th grade with my dad that didn't end up good .I needed to get out to graduate I couldn't stand seeing Higgins face longer and I knew this year was it for me I had a feeling .
My main focus was to graduate and attend every class in time because I want to get out of this shit hole and go on a Road trip this summer if I graduate .
I'm crossing my fingers .
Then with all my thinking Dani came to my head ,the girl had me mesmerized shit that girl has me on knees and I just met her .
What if I invite Dani to my road-trip ?
Nah ,maybe I should wait.I just met her and I might scare her with something like that .
Yup I just wait for that .
When I arrive at school I park at my usual place as I did the years before .
I put the van in park and headed inside the cafeteria and sat with the hellfire club.
"Hey Eddie !!" A cheerful dustin greets me
"Hey Henderson."
I sat at the head of the table and got my cellphone out. I wanted to text Dani but I felt like it was too early.Maybe she was probably still sleeping .
From the corner of my eye I see as Gareth leans in close to me .
"Have you seen the new history teacher ?" He ask
"What about the history teacher ?" I ask, staring at Dani's texts and smiling like an idiot.
I should have asked for a picture to put on her contact.I think to myself ignoring whatever Gareth is saying about the new history teacher .
"She is fucking hot and young ." Gareth says
As I was ignoring Gareth he notices and he decides to stop trying to have a conversation with me and goes and talks to Dustin and the other guys about the history teacher .
Suddenly Dustin and Gareth start having a stupid argument about Dustin's sister.I didn't even know he had a sister .I find out new things about my friends all the time .
I don't know how they went from a history teacher to Dustin's sister .
I just ignore them and stare at my screen waiting for a text from Dani.
But I go inpatient and  open Dani's texts  and I start typing, Ok ima send her a text .
I told myself .
E:"Goodmorning sweetheart."
I press send and waited for her to reply
💬.....
D:"Good Morning handsome ."
Ok she is awake or maybe I woke her up .
E:"How's your morning so far?"
I felt like a teenage boy I had a big smile on my face I probably look like a fucking idiot smiling at my phone .
D:"Well today is my first day at the job, how's yours?"
Good thing I didn't wake her up. I wonder where she works ?
E:"Shitty but now is better that you answer ."
What the fuck did I just send "better now that you answer." What the fuck was wrong with me ?
Suddenly the bell Rang meaning I had to get my ass up from The Chair and head to class. I hadn't realized that everyone had left already and left me all alone .
I was too into my conversation with Dani that I didn't even notice them leaving .
I get my schedule out of my pocket and check what I have first period and guess what I have. yes "History ." I guess I'll see what all the fuss is about the new teacher. I'll be the judge .
I walk towards my first class looking
At my phone waiting for Dani to reply .
No new message ,should I send her a msg?
Yes I will .
Why was I so desperate ?I'm telling you this girl did something to me .
I know myself and I would never ever in a million years message a girl back.I will always wait for her to message me and if they didn't I would totally forget about them and move on to the next one .
E:"Can't wait to see you later ."
I press send and waited for her to reply
The tardy bell rang and I realized I wasn't even close to my first period so I ran so
I wouldn't be late to class .
I got there just in time.I burst the door open accidentally and everyone turned to look at me .As always the class was full and I was the last to come in .
Typically Eddie Munson Entrance .
I turned to look at the teacher but she had her back to everyone writing something on the board.
"Sorry ma'am ." I said heading to the seat at the very back never like sitting in the front .
I stared at the teacher. She looked really familiar. I didn't pay too much attention. Maybe it was just my imagination. I got my phone out and msg Dani again.
E:"Talk to you later, just got to class."
💬......
D:"Ok."
She reply back fast
"Holy shit!!" I heard someone say and to my surprise the one that said that was the history teacher .
And you won't guess who my Hot History teacher was ...
"Danielle." I said loudly, making everyone turn to look at me then at Dani .
Yes you heard that right it was Dani I fucked my History teacher !!!
Jesus fucking Christ !!!
You got to be fucking kidding her first day at the job was as a History Teacher in my fucking school. And she is my fucking teacher never in a million years would I have thought to have sex with one of my teachers .
Well I never had a hot teacher before .
Poor Dani looked shocked, she was just standing there looking at me with wide eyes.I wanted to talk to her to make sure everything was good and to tell her I wasn't going to say anything to anyone. I know that's what she would be worried about being that she was my teacher and we had sex .
Shit..
Could this day get any weirder...
Everyone in the class turns to look at Dani .
I didn't know what to do or how to act right now .
I don't know if the universe hates me because when I find a girl like Dani she turns out to be my fucking teacher .
My fucking history teacher!!!
I decided to text her but she didn't want to talk to me she even told me to forget about ever meeting  her ,how the fuck do I do that ?
If all I did since I met her Saturday was think about her and how she made me feel .
Fuck I didn't want to loose her not like this I needed to talk to her .
I sent her a msg saying that if she didn't want to talk to me then I'll get detention with her so I could talk.
I thought of something to do and I came to terms that I actually had no idea what I was going to do .
Dani was walking around the class checking on everyone I couldn't take my sight of her she was so fucking beautiful.
She then sat back at her desk .
Then I got an idea 💡 I got up from my desk and walk over to her desk stop and look at her then I  got on top of her desk and started a speech about myself and shit .
I looked down at her and she looked like wanted to laugh but was holding back .
Then I got down and started walking around class saying my stupid speech .
I don't know how I was able to talk if I was nervous as Fuck I continued with my speech.
Making Jason mad in the process I hated that guy so much .
Then i passed by Chrissy
"Good-morning sweetheart ." I tell her making her blush
I always had a crush on Chrissy but she was with Jason so I lost hope about her even looking at me .
Finally Dani calls me over to her desk and tells me I have detention for a week .
Great, just what I wanted .
My plan worked .
But now I have detention for a whole week .
I went back to my seat and waited for class to be over .
The bell finally rang and I got out of class as fast as I could and headed to my next class .
I couldn't concentrate on the rest of my classes. I was just thinking of her. I couldn't get her out of my head. I wanted to msg her but I controlled my urge until finally lunch time came and I headed to her class for lunch Detention.
I walked in her class and there she was sitting down typing something into her laptop .
I go and sit in the desk that's right in front of her desk and smile at her.
All I could think about when I saw her was that night I couldn't get her out of my head .
The way her body felt against mine her lips on mine Damn I was getting hard just thinking of her what the fuck was wrong with me ?
She is my teacher and I just pop a damn boner in school. Its was embarrassing acting like a horny teenager.
Maybe she is right and we should stop whatever this is. I wouldn't want her to get in trouble because of me .
But something about hiding made it even more interesting and hot but at the same thing dangerous and really really risky.
I kept my sight on her but she completely ignores me and continues doing  whatever she is doing on her laptop
I look at the board and see her name written in her pretty handwriting, nothing compared to my chicken scratch.
"Miss.Henderson."
Henderson, that's when it hit me. Is she related to Dustin?is she the big sister he is always talking about ? I had to ask her ..
"Henderson?By any chance are you related .."I get interrupted by Henderson, wheeler and Byers walking in the classroom asking Dani for $10
The three of them look at me in confusion.
"Eddie ,what are you doing here ?" Dustin ask
"I could ask the same thing Henderson." I tell him
"Dani is my older sister ." He says happily
"Oh is that so ,."I guess i had sex with Henderson's sisters fuck my life now Henderson was probably gonna hate me for eternity, well if he ever finds out.
"Why are you here ?" Mike ask me
"Miss.Henderson gave me lunch detention for a week so I'll be having lunch with her ." I tell him  with a big smile on my face happy as Fuck that I'll have a week to talk to Dani at least during lunch .
"Mr.munson it's detention not a party so I would appreciate it if you ate your lunch in silence ."Dani suddenly tells me interrupting the kids and my conversation.
She was so adorable when she was mad .
Especially the way she raises her brow.
Who would have thought that I Eddie Munson would be in Detention just to talk to a girl who was my teacher .
And especially a girl because to me all girls were just a one night stand thing but Dani she makes everything better .
Maybe i'm in love ,nah that's not possible I don't fall in love .
I mean I like her. I barely met her a few days ago ,you can't possibly fall in love in a matter of days ?
"What did he do to make you mad ?" I heard Byers ask Dani. She doesn't reply anything back but hugs buyers. I didn't even know she had a good relationship with the kids ..
"Can we stay here with you ?" Dustin suddenly ask
Yeah I didn't think that those shrimps needed me during lunch but I had to be selfish and tried to talk to Dani.
Now I'm stuck here for a week .
Maybe she gave me detention on purpose so she could have me close by ?
"What's wrong buddy ?"dani look concern if she only knew how her brother got bully by the basketball players ,is a good thing I met them during summer Henderson and his friends came to take summer classes to advance in the year and that's when I met them ,don't ask me what i was doing in school in the summer I was actually force to volunteer to show the freshman around for extra credit .
Sucks to be me ..
But hey it helped .
Dani continue talking to
The kids and they eventually told her how they met me .They started talking about D&D and telling Dani to join Hellfire.
"Should join what ?"I ask, putting a pretzel in my mouth. Dustin ,Will and Mike rush over to me and start telling me how good she is at D&D and that she taught them how to play .
I was amazed she couldn't be more perfect .
Will is too excited and starts saying that she will be the perfect coach and she could take us to competíons and blah blah blah, and to be honest I've never heard of another D&D club in another school but to have to spend time with Dani then let her be our coach or whatever the fuck they wanted her to be .Thats was great and I have never love the fresh men more than I do today.
"I don't know what Miss.Henderson thinks ."
I grinned looking at her .Fuck I hope
She said yes.
"Guys look I'll think about it ok ." She tells them, fuck Dani say yes please .
The three of them all cheered and went to hug Dani tightly.
"Ok guys go get some lunch ." Dani tells them.
I mean they could sit with Gareth and Jeff while I'm gone. I know they will take care of them while I'm here .
"My sheeps sit with Gareth and Jeff at the hellfire table ."I tell them and they all get really excited .
Dani watches them leave then goes back to her desk. I watch her prepare her salad. I'm fighting the urge to not bend her down on her  desk and make her mine again but I shake those thoughts out of my head .
Maybe I won't, maybe I'll save them for tonight while I'm all alone in my room .
Jesus Christ I'm getting hard again I need to calm down and think about something else but just staring at her the way she eats her salad .
I've never thought I'll be jealous of a fork and a piece of fucking lettuce .
Ok I should talk to her. That's why I wanted detention. But here I am daydreaming of what I should do to her and wasting precious time . Now I was alone with her and I wasn't even talking. I was just gawking at her, probably drooling and hard.
So I decided to go for it. But first I had to fix myself. I couldn't. Embarrassing myself right now .At first I opened my mouth but nothing came out .Ok I have to think of what to say and not sound stupid or desperate .
Ok, think Eddie, what do you want to tell her ?
I open my mouth and I talk so fucking fast I don't even know if she understood what I said .
"Dani, can we please talk,I-I can't just pretend it never happened cause it did ." I get up from my desk and walk towards her standing right next to her looking down at her.
She ignores me and continues eating her salad .
"Dani, please look at me ." I placed my hand on her shoulder and I could see how I made her feel. I don't know why she was holding back well I did ,but what happened at the hideout she didn't know I was her student and I didn't even know she was my teacher.
I mean is not fair ,why did the universe had to do this, I finally meet a nice girl and she is my fucking history teacher who is hot as hell and is not afraid of me or thinks I'm a freak .
"Edward, please don't make this harder than it is ." She says softly with her eyes close
I keep looking down at her ,her eyes are still closed until she finally opens them and looks up to me .
I kneel down next to her and spun her chair so she could be facing me .
"Dani, I never had a connection like this with anyone ."
She doesn't say anything but stares at the classroom door .
"Edward."She finally says
"Eddie."I corrected her. I'm not gonna lie. I love how Edward sounds when she says it .But I only like it coming from her mouth .
"Whatever Munson,I really do like you ,I had so much fun with you that night. Actually that night was amazing and I haven't been able to get it out of my head ."
She hasn't stopped thinking about me?That's good because I haven't stopped thinking about her ..
"Really and what do you think of ?" I ask her, raising a brow and winking at her.
She doesn't say anything and just stands up and walks towards the door and closes the blind then walks back to me.
I'm confused as fuck to what she is doing ?
"What are you doing?" I ask confused ,standing up.
She suddenly kissed my lips and I kissed her back like there was no tomorrow. I wanted to remember her lips. I smiled in the kiss because I couldn't believe this was actually happening.
——————————————————————
The rest of my classes went by super fast for the reason that I couldn't stop thinking of Dani. We didn't even have a chance to talk about what was going to happen between us .
Because instead of talking we where making out all over her classroom we didn't even eat lunch and now I was hungry as fuck .
Just thinking of her made me hard and I couldn't stop thinking of the way we kissed in her damn classroom The adrenaline that was in my veins at the moment the risk of someone catching us fuck everything was so messed up, the way she kisses me the way her hands play with my hair when she is kissing me her little moans she makes .
Fuck!!I decided to text her .
E:"Sweetheart are we still on for that date ?"
💬......
Yes she is typing now I'm scared of what she is going to answer, what if she tells me no or what if she says yes .
D:I really want to but I don't know 😒
So she does want to go with me on a date but she is scared that if I tell her instead of going to the movies I'll invite her somewhere more private or maybe Eddie you shouldn't get involved with your teacher a part of me told me but I wasn't going to listen to that part .
D:I thought you were amazing Eddie when I first met you. I was mesmerized by the way you play your guitar ,by your voice but mostly your eyes drove me crazy. Those brown eyes ,damn those brown eyes , you're an amazing boy .
E:I'm still That boy Dani there's nothing different about me nothing has changed
💬......
D:Eddie, I'm your teacher, that's what changed ..
E:Dani I know is  just not me ,I know you feel this is right for us too .
💬......
D:I'm sorry Eddie we just can't .
E:"Why?!? Dani please don't do these to me "
She didn't respond back ,the bell rang signaling the class was over. I got my binder and stormed off the class towards my van .
I turned on the engine and turned on the radio at full blast. I didn't care I was on school grounds, I just hated the way I was feeling I wanted to be with Dani and I know trust me I understand the reason she doesn't want to be with me.
But I was selfish and I wanted to be with her. I never felt like this for anyone .
Shit now im fucking crying like a fucking pussy .
I started hitting the steering wheel until my Palms started hurting .
I put the van in reverse and drove off to the cinema where I was supposed to meet Dani .
I had already bought the stupid tickets and might as well go cry myself while watching the stupid movie.
I park outside the cinema and stay inside the van listening to music .Then I got a message .
D:"hey can we talk in person please ."
I answer so fucking fast I didn't even know if was typing correctly my fingers just type so fucking fast .
E:"Yes I'm here at the cinema ,if you want to meet here ."
I replied hoping I didn't sound like a dumbass for coming to the movies alone.
D:"really ?cause I'm here too lol."
I got out of my van instantly looking around for Dani ,I found her parked a few spaces down from me .
When she saw me she smiled and started walking towards me looking around her surroundings.
I'm guessing to make sure know-one was looking our way .
"Hey ." She said
"Hi sweetheart." She smile
Then look down looking  at her hands I guess hiding her red cheeks .
"I'm sorry for pushing you away Edward ."
"I would never want to do anything to put you in trouble Dani ."I say softly leaning closer to her
I wanted to kiss her but first I checked around to see if anyone was around .
When the coast was clear I cupped her face and kissed her softly as she wrapped her hands around my neck pulling me closer to her .
I pull away and rest my forehead on Hers.
At that moment I promised myself that I was going to Graduate so I would be able to be with Dani. I don't know if I was gonna be able to contain myself every-time I saw her, especially having her as my teacher .
Maybe I should just transfer to another class .
But at the same time I didn't want to because at least I'll get to see her. I know this was wrong but why did it feel so right ?.
What was I gonna do ?
So that afternoon I made her a promise to graduate so we can be able to be together ...
And that's what I was going to do..

the audience needs a part two for the jamie + fan kissing scene PLEASEEEE
your wish is my command, anon (part 1)
Jamie hasn't slept a wink when you finally come home.
It's a quiet thing, your homecoming. To the house you two share and couldn't run away to after you caught Jamie in someone else's arms. He'd called you desperately time after time and all tries went unanswered, followed up by texts begging to please just let me know you're okay. You'd read them all and only answered once before Keeley- who you'd chosen for a safe haven after running away from the club- took your phone away from you.
She'd also refused to speak neither ill nor good things of Jamie. She offered you a hot drink and spare clothes to change into, a comfy guest room, and a shoulder to cry on. The morning after you also had texts from Sam, Dani, and some of the other boys who'd witnessed the exchange between Jamie and said fan, all confirming the version your boyfriend had tried to tell you the night before.
God, you were so embarrassed. That this had happened, that some of your closest friends had been there to watch, that you couldn't believe him when he said he'd never do something like that to you even when you knew how deeply and loyally Jamie loved.
But the image of him kissing someone else was tattooed behind your eyelids. As a consequence, your night was also mostly sleepless, and when you finally come face to face with Jamie you both look like tired messes.
His hair is greasy and unkempt. He'd been pacing the living room and lying on the couch trying to sleep when you came home, so his clothes- the same from last night- are wrinkled and a little smelly. You in return are wearing someone else's clothes, eyes swollen from crying and body aching with the tension this whole thing has brought upon you.
You're both a sight for each other's sore eyes.
"Hi," you say quietly, dropping your bag and your keys on the counter.
"Hey," he answers breathlessly like he can't believe you're here. One blink and you might disappear into thin air like you never even existed. "You- Keeley called. Said you were on your way home... on your way here."
You close your eyes painfully at the correction.
"Still home," you reply, hesitant to get nearer. "The guys called. Told me everything. I-"
"I'm sorry," Jamie goes to hold you again but seems to hesitate when remembering how you'd tried to twist out of his grip the previous night. You close the remaining distance, wrapping your hands around his shirt and clinging for dear life. "I'm so sorry, I swear I would never- I hate that you had to see that, I'm so, so sorry-"
"Baby," you say, and Jamie melts like snow under the summer sun. You can't not touch him, cupping his face, touching his skin. Something inside your chest tightens when he nuzzles your palm with so much force his neck must ache a little. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry you had to go through that, I'm sorry I didn't listen-"
"Why would you?" he says self-deprecatingly, turning to burrow his face into your wrist, the crook of your elbow, and into your neck, hugging you tight. "You- I would've done the same thing, right? If I saw you... if I..."
"I wouldn't," she cups the back of his neck, possessive. Comforting. "And neither would you. I know that now, I'm sorry."
The only person who should be sorry is the fan that thought had some ownership over a footballer they'd never met, that put Jamie in such position no one deserved to be in.
"Missed you," he's crying, you realize when his voice cracks and something wet hits your neck. "All I could think was that I'd never see you again, and I... fuck."
"We're okay," you soothe, running your hands through his hair. He smells of sweat and faint traces of cologne. The scent alone and the thought of never being this close to him again makes your eyes water, too. "We're okay, baby, we're gonna be okay."
You will be, you're sure. After at least 9 hours of sleep in the same bed and keeping each other in the same room at all times, eventually the sting of this entire night will fade. You have to talk, too, about so many things, but right now you only pull Jamie toward your bedroom.
There'll be time for all of that. After all, you're not going anywhere.

I love you guys
I first want to say sorry for not replying to everyone individually. I’m honestly overwhelmed by getting so many loving messages. So so many!!! I don't know where to begin. So I wanted to do a mass thank you because this way I don't leave anyone out. I’ve read and cherished them all, every one. I was having such a bad day that day, and really you all made me feel so much better and more welcome. I want those who are going through what I’m going through to know they are not alone either. I’m here for you as much as you are here for me, so please never think you are alone in this. So many of us are going through hell and it makes you feel so adrift. I hope something changes for the better for us all.
I’m late to say thank you too as I’m with my sister at the moment. She saw I was down and has given me a bit of a holiday away from my neighbours at her place. It’s so quiet at her house. Well apart from my nephew getting me involved in his Spiderman obsession. I can't complain, I love Spidey. I’m feeling so much better. I guess I just needed a break from all the noise and stress. We're also planning a camping holiday come summer so that will be something to look forward to. Also, planning to do my driving lessons this year with her help as that will solve my work problem so much. I’m so nervous about that.
I’m also chuffed to bits to know there are also so many older fans. It’s always been something I loved in knowing that as we grow we never leave things we loved behind. And why should we? I wish I knew what changed in fandom to make so many people so ageist and hateful toward anyone over 30. It didn't used to be so bad, and I do hope that it changes. No one young or old should be made to feel awful for loving things so much they want to create, talk and share. The first person to get me into a fan community and make me feel I had a place as a little geek was an older lady I met at my town's old second hand book shop. We just started chatting over X-men comics (I loved the New Mutant and was a bit of a Rahne & Dani fan) and TSR books. She introduced me to Kirk and Spock shipping when I admitted I saw them as close. And wow was I in love with what she showed me. I even saw my first fanart in Susan Lovetts work and knew that's what I wanted to do. After that I got online in 95 and never looked back. I’ve been in so many fandoms and known people of all ages and called them my friends. So I truly hope that the anti olds things that is gripping some fandoms right now becomes a thing of the past and we can stop being so negative on people for daring to age.
Again thank you from the bottom of my heart for your caring and heartfelt messages. I feel so rubbish for not replying to you all, and I’m sorry, but I hope you all know you helped me. You are all the absolute best. I’ll see about getting some more drawings started when I come home. I’ve got some things that I kind of want to do that I've been promising myself I’d draw for years and feel I should start. I get sad I can't be a pro but at least I can still draw and get to share my joy at creating something with you guys. Thank you for all the sport and love.
Love and many hugs, Lucy

Witch. He called her a witch and for the first time since she was eight years old, Dani hated it. Because he wasn’t referring to her as one of the good witches they had around Destiny Isle like Binx’s girlfriend, no— Slightly was regarding her as the kind of witch that went out and purposely hunted children for their souls like the Sanderson’s. She was a real villain within his eyes, and now she knew that no matter what she says, he didn’t care. He didn’t care to know if she had been hurt during their relationship because to him, if she couldn’t handle his trust issues than she should’ve broken up with him. And he was right. Dani should’ve broken up with him instead of going behind his back and cheating on him. Her eyes began to sting, yet she tried to fight back the tears that wanted to come out. But that was the thing, she didn’t want to be that person who left their partners because of a reason like them having trust issues. She had known that Slightly had been hurt multiple times in the past. That his trust issues hadn’t just came out of nowhere, but rather it was because he feared of being hurt yet again. And for that, Dani wanted to try. She stayed with him because she wanted to show him that she was willing to deal with his trust issues, that she was understanding of them, and how he could trust her— but she was also human.
He would never understand that with every accusation he made, it broke her heart little by little. How small he made her feel whenever he spoke badly of her character when before she ever met Glade, not once has she given Slightly a reason to distrust her or what she truly wanted from their relationship. God, he had been her first serious boyfriend for crying out loud! If there was anyone she had been the most open and honest with, it had been him! Even from the first moment they met last summer, Dani’s been honest. From the genuine compliment she gave to his song, to showing him her personal designs, and even when she blurted out that she liked him after they got lost speaking to one another and wanted to see him more. She had been her most authentic self with him, she thought that had been what he liked so much about her in return. That’s why they got together not long after that and why they continued dating even after the summer ended. Her eyes stung even more, and at this point she couldn’t even fight it. There relationship had been so great back then too— so great, Dani even thought she could fall in love with Slightly. Scratch that, she had been falling for him, so hearing him say he had been in love with her? The redhead wanted to believe that was true, and yet she couldn’t because how can he say he loved her when clearly he never trusted her?
Lifting a hand to her cheeks, Dani whipped away some of her tears. “…..You made your point.” the redhead replied, finally realizing that there was no point in her staying here. Slightly wasn’t ever going to want to be her friend again, and there was no use in her arguing to try and make him see her point of view. He’ll never see how hurt she had actually been back then before she ever did anything because he’ll only ever view her as the cheater who broke his heart. The cheating witch who broke his heart. “Believe me or not, I am sorry I cheated on you. I truly never wanted to become another addition to those who had hurt you but— it doesn’t matter now because I still did it.” She made one last apology, turning around so she could go and leave him be. At this point, Dani can only hope that the next girl he falls for can truly prevail and not hurt him like she did. And from what she’s seen whenever she spotted him with that other redhead and how happy he seemed to be with her around, maybe there was a chance. “Make sure to trust and believe in her. You’ll be way happier if you do.” And loved too, she thought, walking away.
Dani would have had a good point that Slightly serenading her at that party wasn’t her fault—if she wasn’t missing his point entirely. While he certainly never would have gotten up there and embarrassed himself that way if she had told him sooner that she had cheated on him, he still wasn’t trying to place the blame on her for what he did that night. He was calling attention to the fact that she never would have told him what happened back when they were dating if he hadn’t tried to get back together with her. Sly was absolutely sure she would have just kept up the lie as long as they remained “friends,” and his speculation was only further proven by her refusal to answer his direct question about it. Instead of reflecting on why he was finding it impossible to forgive her or want to be friends again, Dani was getting defensive about her side in their breakup, showing to Slightly that her appeal for forgiveness was selfish after all. Maybe he cared more about his own pain than about hers, too, but he wasn’t the one out here trying to talk to her and reforge a relationship. She had come out of her way to ask something of him; he had no desire to rebuild this burnt bridge. If she had wanted to be friends, she should have thought of that a long time ago and done things a lot differently.
“Am I a villain for being jealous then?” he shot back as she cited an unfairness in how she was being treated like one, like he should be considered as equally in the wrong for what went down between them. Maybe he had been overbearing in his fear that Dani would cheat on him or leave him, but he had eventually taken the hint that it was an untenable situation and broken it off, like a decent human would when a relationship completely stopped working. It had only been later that he learned he’d done that too late, and she had already gone behind his back by that point. “So I had trust issues—then you should have broken up with me!” He raised his voice for the first time, frustration with this conversation evident in every facet of his body language and expression. He reigned his temper back in enough to lower his volume, but maintained the heat in his tone as he continued, “If it was such a struggle to be with me, then you should have broken up with me instead of cheating. Do you get it? Fucking another guy as some kind of payback for me not believing you, doing the exact thing I was worried about?” That was more than petty; it was spiteful. “I was—I was in love with you, Dani! I might have had my own issues, but you decided to rub them in instead of walking away. You are a villain to me—you’re a fucking witch.”

I don’t like you, Mason Mount | Chapter 3
Previous chapter | Next chapter
Masterlist
Tumblr media
"Damn, summer is looking good on someone."
"What?"
"Look" my sister says, showing me her phone.
"Not him again" I reply, rolling my eyes.
"Yes, him. This could have been you, you know? Instead of being bored here with us, you could be in Ibiza."
"You know I don't like Ibiza. That's a place where I do get bored, not here."
"But you would be making out with him."
"Oh, yes. Being caught by The Sun while making out with Mason Mount is what I dream of every night."
"Well, I wouldn't mind being caught."
"Monica, I think you are starting to fancy him."
"Shut up" she says, hitting my arm. "But it's been so long since the last time I was with someone, that if he asked, I wouldn't say no."
"Are you that desperate?" I chuckle.
"I'm not desperate. I'm horny."
"Mum, what does horny mean? Are you ok?" Lola asks, showing up out of nowhere.
"Honey, weren't you on the pool?"
"Yeah, but I got cold. What does horny mean?"
"I'll leave you two alone to talk" I say, getting up from my hammock and trying not to laugh.
"What? Where are you going?" Monica says, giving me a murderous look.
"For a walk to the beach. I'll see you for dinner."
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
"I am so lame" I say to myself while taking a photo of the sunset. But I just can't help it, the colours are too beautiful. Mum would have loved to paint it. The clouds that look like cotton candy, the waves hitting the rocks, the head popping out of the water... Wait a minute. "What the hell?" I say, zooming the photo. Some idiot just showed up out of nowhere and completely ruined it.
"Auntie?" a familiar voice says. When I look up, I can't believe who I'm seeing. It can't be him.
"Mount?"
"Oh, you remember who I am. That's nice" he chuckles, running a hand through his wet hair. It was him. He was the head on my photo.
"What are you doing here?"
"I went for a swim."
"No, I mean here. In Portugal. Weren't you in Ibiza making out with your girlfriend?"
"Have you been keeping up with what I do?" he asks with a smile, that stupid dimple showing.
"Answer me."
"I flew today to spend some days with my family. And she isn't my girlfriend."
"But she's the same girl you've been seeing since the year started, isn't she?"
"Jealous?"
"Whatever" I say, turning my back at him and starting to walk away.
"Wait, where are you going?"
"Home. My family is waiting for me."
"Let me grab my bag, I'll drive you."
"I have legs, I can walk."
"And they are very nice legs, but they also need to rest from time to time."
"You don't give up, do you?" I say, stopping to look at him while I try to make the butterflies on my stomach stop moving like crazy. Yes, he hasn’t forgotten about me. And that girl isn’t his girlfriend. But I should not care. I should not.
"I wouldn't be where I am if I did."
"You mean... Standing on a beach and with seaweed on your hair?"
"What?" he says, touching his head like crazy.
"No... Not there. To your left. Your other left, Mason. Dear God, let me do it" I say, tired of seeing him struggle. "Done."
"Thank you very much, auntie."
"I have a name, you know?"
"One you haven't shared with me yet" he says.
"Daniela."
"I've never met a Daniela before. I think. How do people call you? Dani?"
"Only my friends are allowed to call me like that" I say, taking a step back. I hadn't realized how close I was to him. To his face, and his bare chest, and... No. No, no, no.
"Ok, messaged received" he laughs. "But one day you'll let me call you Dani."
"I think not. And now if you'll excuse me..."
"I thought I was driving you home."
"I never said yes."
"Let me do it as a thank you for helping me with that seaweed."
"Ok, fine. But only because I can see you following me all the way to my house like a creep."
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
"You know, now that destiny has brought us together again, maybe we could go on that date" Mason says when we make it to his car.
"Keep dreaming."
"Oh, c'mon. It'll be just dinner and maybe a drink. After that, you can forget about me if that's what you want. Though I hope it isn't" he says with a cheeky smile.
"If I say yes, will you leave me alone for the rest of my holidays? Like, you won't show up one day at my house with the excuse of wanting to see Lola?"
"I won't, I promise" he says, putting his hand on his heart.
"Ok. Where do you want to go?"
"What? Now?"
"Yes, now."
"I'm wearing a wet swimsuit and a t-shirt. We can't go on a date when I look like this."
"As if you looked any better with your nice clothes" I snort.
"God, you are so mean."
"I am. Does that mean that our date has been cancelled?"
"Hell no. For some odd reason, I like that about you."
"You are such a weirdo" I chuckle, the butterflies back.
"Maybe" he shrugs, opening the passenger door of his car. "After you, my lady."
"Thank you" I say, trying very hard not to smile. I'm not gonna let him charm me. I will not.

They laid them north to south, from ice to fire, and piled them high with soft cushions and sleeping silks.
— AGOT, Daenerys X
“We swear it by ice and fire,” they finished together.
— ACOK, Bran III
“He has a song,” the man replied. “He is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire.”
— ACOK, Daenerys IV
Dany could not let it go. “His is the song of ice and fire, my brother said. I’m certain it was my brother. Not Viserys, Rhaegar. He had a harp with silver strings.”
...
“I remember,” Dany said sadly. “They murdered Rhaegar’s daughter as well, the little princess. Rhaenys, she was named, like Aegon’s sister. There was no Visenya, but he said the dragon has three heads. What is the song of ice and fire?”
— ACOK, Daenerys V
We have sworn you our faith by earth and water, bronze and iron, ice and fire.
— ASOS, Bran I
“Because they’re different,” he insisted. “Like night and day, or ice and fire.”
— ASOS, Bran II
“There is ice and there is fire. Hate and love. Bitter and sweet. Male and female. Pain and pleasure. Winter and summer. Evil and good.”
...
Ice and fire, he thought. Black and white. Dark and light.
— ASOS, Davos III

He should probably be at home right now, probably getting rest. As the sun is starting to dip below the horizon, Jamie closes his eyes. He can hear the cheers. He can hear the laughter, the boos, the shouts, the elation. He can hear disappointment, too. When the ball hits off the post. When the referee makes a shit call against Richmond. It's all so beautiful, the game that they play. It brings him emotions that he's never felt elsewhere. He's never felt so himself the way he feels when he's on a pitch. His teammates nearby. His coaches by the bench. His friends and family in the stands. He's the luckiest boy in the world, he thinks. Richmond 'til he dies.
"I've heard it once or twice," he replies with a fond grin, looking over at her. It usually came from his mum, but that's beside the point. He knows she's right - he's seen kids on Richmond Green wearing his shirts, or shirts in Richmond blue, Richmond red, Richmond yellow, the way Jamie had his Chelsea blue shirt growing up because he could never afford the proper Adidas shirt. They'd be better off pretending to be Sam, or Dani, or Isaac, in Jamie's mind, but he's honoured that they've chosen him to look up to, the way Jamie had chosen Roy. He wonders if there's another little boy in Manchester supporting a southern team the way Jamie had twenty years ago. He hopes there is.
Tumblr media
"Oh - erm, yeah. Yeah, I'd love that," he answers honestly. He knows that Phoebe attends Richmond Primary, but he doubts he could just show up and talk to the kids without any planning beforehand. "I've gotta talk t'Keeley about settin' something up like that. I do help out with camps in the summer, up in Manchester, though. One of the first things I do after England duty in the off-season." It's still mad to him, the Jamie Tartt Football Camp - come as you are, boots and kits provided. Helping kids like himself, like Yashvi, get into football. Get opportunities with the City and United Academies. He hopes he's changed some lives that way. "I love kids. Seriously - I do. They're just, like, little people with little baby fingers - you seen their boots before?" He holds his hands up, palms facing each other, and laughs. "Fucking tiny, they are."
ㅤPenny wonders if there will ever be a time where Jamie isn't completely winning her over. It's fascinating, the way a man can leave two completely different impressions on two different people - on Penny, who is so glad she got to know him, and Tom, who would roll his eyes and pretend to gag at the sincerity currently on display. All because it's Jamie Tartt saying the words.
ㅤShe sits with her feet on the back of the seat in front of her, arms around her knees, looking down at the pitch far below and thinking of the kids who come to the football and start dreaming dreams. And the young lads who sometimes filter into the women's matches, wearing their last-season Richmond shirts, and how many of them have Jamie's name emblazoned on the back.
Tumblr media
ㅤ“ Has anyone told you that you're quite sweet, Jamie Tartt? ” It's a compliment. It couldn't be anything else. “ Those kids fucking worship you. Bet they run 'round on t' playground, pretending they're you. ” She's smiling because she knows it's true. Not bad for Manchester boy, is he? After a moment, she asks: “ You ever thought about going to schools and stuff? Me and Ruby do that sometimes with t' women's team. Trying to get little girls into football. Can't imagine you'd not go down a treat. ”
