Being new to Gardenview

Aka "I had fun writing the long slender mansion posts that I wanted to do something similar with other fandoms

Note that requests are still limited to 3-4 characters max

Notes: reader is gn, toon reader, vague what the readers interests are unless implied otherwise for a character, you're freshly baked, pre game, no pebble or coal, you came around Christmas for the holiday toons anyone else can be any time of year, platonic for everyone since you're brand spanking new, long post, written on mobile, couldn't tag everyone but everyone is here minus pebble and coal

DANDY

He's probably the first one to greet you, honestly. He's like... THE toon. The show is named after him, he's the poster boy after all!

Surely he won't be at least a little annoyed that someone already beat him to the punch.... right...? Right??

He's a very busy toon, not only is he a main but he's also again, THE main. Getting to talk to him for more than a minute while there's visitors is nearly impossible... but he'll be sure to drop by your room for a hello once everything calms down for the day! ...maybe...

ASTRO

It's not that he's overstimated- mostly- it's just that he's tired by the time the day is over with... so it'll take him a while to approach you to welcome you... and he may seem out of it if you approach before he's ready

He's nice! A little accidentally... distant.. but he truly is happy to see a new toon added to gardenviews lineup. Who wouldn't be happy to have a new potential friend?

Ignore how he's seemingly nodding off where he stands... ts not that you're boring. He's simply a little sleepy...! You'll have to get used to that..!

VEE

Oh cool, a new toon. She's not going to be all over you but she's not going to ignore you if you come say hi. Small talk before she's swept away by the visitors.. or you're snatched away

If you seem like the smart type she might just invite you onto her show... she's not usually so quick to let someone on but what the hell! Who wouldn't want a new face to spice things up!

She is quick to set some boundaries up of you're pushing buttons or pose any risk to her techy bits

SHELLY

She doesn't let the fact you didn't notice her at first effect her... at least not outwardly. She's more forgiving in this instance anyways, you did just arrive afterall

Gives you a nice welcome- she's just happy to have someone new to talk to... if you ever want to have a nice camera hang out she's your girl to go to..! Just.. don't forget that she's just a call away..!

There's more time to talk to her during the day due to her being not as popular as the other Mains :( or even some of the non mains...

SPROUT

Oh heeeeeeeey you! He's probably already heard about you! If not from another toon than through one of the handlers!

He's not gonna be all over you but he's at least going to make you feel welcome enough- at least a normal amount of welcoming! He doesn't strike me as the type to be overly buddy buddy with a new toon just because they've just come out of.... wherever the toons are made...

He does seem to perk up a little if you express an interest in the ktichen... common ground can go far!

BOXTEN

It takes him a minute to approach you... he's gotta work himself up to it- he's not the boldest toon out there.. and he seems a little proud of himself that he didn't stumble over his words...! He will be overthinking his first impression later that night though...

The fact you're getting swarmed also puts him off a little... it's just so many people- it's overwhelming. Makes him wonder how he pulled through the initial hype when he was new.. silently sympathizes with you- tried to quietly give you reassurance from across the room but the voice in the back of his mind tries to tell him it looks like he's mocking you

He doesn't really talk.. not really a rambler either, especially with an acquaintance... but he does take note of any questions you have and tries to direct you to who could possibly help you once it becomes clear that he might not be the best fit

BRIGHTNEY

Her light burns a little brighter when she catches a glimpse of you... she didn't think she'd be seeing you so soon!

Wastes no time in walecoming you to gardenview, and hardly any time to bring up the boom club to see if you're interested... if you are, great! If not, that's okay!

If you ever need a hand to keep track of what you need to do and how things work around here she's more than happy to draw up a list for you and give you a hand where she can!

CONNIE

Oh she probably knows about you already... she's sneaky like that...! She's just trying to get a feel for your vibe before revealing herself. Totally. Definitely. Mhm!

She can't help herself- it's always so fun spooking new toons who don't know about her ability yet- she doesn't mean to be.. well, mean..! It's just funny!

She's got like... details on everyone! She's your gal to go for some gossip or to figure out what everyone else's deal with... though she may be biased against/for some toons so it's best to do your probing yourself to form your own opinions...

COSMO

He doesn't carry Boxtens shyness so he is more likely to approach you within a shorter time frame if you end up in the same area! He may trip over his words but that's just because he wants to make a good impression..!

If you ever need a little pick me up you can find him in the kitchen! Alongside Sprout and maybe Boxten-- and if it's the holidays ginger too...! It's a real nice place to hang out that's not too overstimulating-!

Similar to Boxten he will attempt to guide you to anyone who could help you with anything- except he's likely to physically bring you to someone or someone to you than simply... telling

FINN

Bold of you to assume he's not going to open up with a joke. "OH it's so nice to sea you," he'd wave but he wasn't sure if you'd he able to see him over the stream of visitors!

If you can bare through his constant puns he's actually not that bad. He's nice. Passionate about his interests- and of course he's going to be asking about yours!

Moderate popularity with the visitors so you can hang around and talk to him when you're not getting swarmed. He does share a good laugh about it with you- you'll get used to the attention... or find your footing once the hype dies

FLUTTER

Oh she's right by your side the second it looks like you need a breather from the swarm of visitors- you can come decompress with her until you need to get back out there..!

She's kind... a good listener. You're not sure how you can understand her when she's yet to speak a single word but you feel she's already been questioned about that a lot.. you don't want to possibly pester her with it

She lingers around you until closing to help you get through the day and the sea of visitors!

GIGI

She's friendly..! Really she is..! It's just that freshly baked toons can sometimes be fun to mess with... and she's taken a page out of Connie's book... she's not going to be a bully but she won't be able to help herself- telling you that you should totally do (x) which definitely won't make you look at least a little silly

You... might want to keep an eye on your belongings. She's usually not mean enough to nab someone else's things... maybe.. but by God the episode where she had to learn that lesson only slightly shook that habit

If you don't meet her through Connie, you'll be introduced to Connie through Gigi... as well as some other toons!

GLISTEN

Hes.. nice enough! Sure he may be... well himself.. but he's not going to ignore you if you approach him for help... though he is just a hint envious of the crowd you've made for yourself- but he's not going to fault you for it. Makes him miss the days where he was brand new and had all the attention

He's at least a little interested in finding out what your deal is... even if he's waiting to properly introduce himself- and he's definitely going to make a little show of it to make sure you don't forget his name!

Not intense.. but he does mellow out over the next few times you bump into each other once the desire to impress the newbie backs off a bit

GOOB

He's like an excited puppy when you meet each other! A new toon! Yay! A new friend, hopefully?

He's very physical- he doesn't mean to make you uncomfortable... if he is making you uneasy just say the word and he'll back off! He's not the best with subtle cues...

Oh oh oh you've gotta come with him to go meet his sister! Oh oh and you've gotta meet- you're going to meet so many toons through him...

LOOEY

Oh! New guy (/gender neutral)! He... actually doesn't lean into the clown act during an introduction. At least he doesn't rely on it- he definitely slips in a few jokes here and there if there's time but he's more focused on getting names exchanged and overall having a quick chat before he needs to go back to performing with the rest of his circus act

He's more than happy to let you come watch those acts! It'll give you a place to unwind after such a busy day! Or... if something calmer is more your style, he'll direct you to other toons

Generally a sweetheart- his cheerful demeanor comes in handy when meeting someone new- child and toon alike!

RAZZLE & DAZZLE

POPPY

Wastes zero time in introducing herself- even if you don't end up being friends in the future she's going to make sure you at least have fun on your first day

She introduces you to other toons as you come across them- she's real... bubbly. Pun only partly intended! She's going to make sure you meet just about everyone- or as many toons as possible!

And of course, she makes it clear that you're always welcome to come hang out with her and her group of gals- she'll make sure to put in a good word for you!

Similar reactions different energies! Razzle is more upbeat and open to talking. He tends to take the lead... not that he doesnt let dazzle speak of course. Dazzle also greets you! He's just lower energy

You're always welcome to their stage... or their room... if you express an interest in stories or books, Dazzle may tell you about Brightneys book club! Maybe he can help you get in... will be embarrassed if you tell him you already knew about the club

You do end up making a lot of friends through each of them- they both have their own groups of friends so double the introductions!

RODGER

A warm and polite welcome! He may ask a few questions... ice breakers mostly... and also because, well... you know...

You may or may not be spared from an interrogation- really it depends on how guarded you are with new people... and what all is going on at the moment- hes not the most popular toon but you're new... you're definitely going to be swarmed until the hype dies down

You... get the feeling it's going to be hard to keep secrets to yourself for long with him around... maybe... surely he'd respect boundaries and privacy (he does!) (At least he fully does when there's no mystery that may or may not put others in danger)

SHRIMPO

SCRAPS

She's not as... excitable or cheerful as her brother. She's definitely still cheery but she's more reserved about it. If you need a break from the visitors she can try to snag some away with the promise of arts and crafts so you're not all smothered

Arts and crafts is actually a gold way to open up to someone- a great ice breaker activity! So of course she's also going to invite you to come make something alongside her brother and toodles! It's a nice wind down activity after closing and before bedtime

Give her some time and she'll make you a welcome gift!

You hardly get a word in before he yells at you that he hates you already... you unfortunately don't know that that's his whole... thing.. so you don't know not to take it to heart or to not be confused

No like seriously what did you do you hardly introduced yourself- he cut you off after the first word... did you look at him wrong??

You quickly find out that he's just a hater, though... he's very open about his hatred for everything

TEAGAN

It doesn't take long at all for her to invite you to have some tea with her once the day calms down and all the visitors have left... it's all to get to know you better and make you feel more comfortable!

If you're comfortable with it, they will invite more toons... it'll give you a chance to get to know more of them! But if not... Teagans more than happy to just have it be the two of you

So so kind and patient with you as you get the hang of how everything works. If you ever need someone to talk to as you adjust to gardenview she's more than happy to let you vent to them

TOODLES

TISHA

It's not that she meant to ignore you... it's just that sometimes the visitors can be a little... messy... and it drives her nuts! But rest assured she will make it right once gardenview closes for the day and everything is cleaned up- and with Tishas speed and efficiency it won't take long after closing for her to stop by your new room!

Pleased that your room is- at least for now as you've yet to have a proper chance to make it a living space- neat and tidy... if you ever need a hand with things let her know... she'll at least let you know where the cleaning supplies are

You quickly pick up on a lot of tricks to get stains out and keep everything looking spick n span... Tisha is more than a little proud of herself that she's rubbed off on you

She's another easy one to get along with! There aren't many toons that Toodles outright dislikes or doesn't get along with

Talks... a lot... but that's to be expected from a kid.

You learn everything and nothing. The kid who's got dirt on everyone but doesn't have the mind to realize that it's dirt. Drops it randomly in conversation and moves on to something else like it was nothing... it's a little funny..

BOBETTE

Wastes no time at all in trying to become your friend- what's your favorite color? Music? When did you join Gardenview? What's your gimmick? She wants to know!

She's definitely gonna give you an extra gift this year for Christmas! Think of it as a "welcome to Gardenview!" Housewarming style gift! She WILL be watching you like a hawk to figure out what you like... as well as lightly interrogating everyone else for ideas

Genuinely so easy to befriend her. Not very judgy, very cheerful.. come decorate with her

GINGER

Oh... shy... she's shy... she doesn't avoid you but the first few conversations with you is... dry. Awkward. She really doesn't mean to make it that way it's just that she wasn't expecting to meet a new toon after being taken out of... where ever they keep the holiday toons

Not to mention you have a limited time to get her to warm up to you before having to put things on hold until next year... she really does try to befriend you or at least get to know you...!

Come join her with Cosmo and Sprout in the kitchen! You don't even have to bake..! You can help her decorate..! She becomes a ramblerer if you get her talking about an interest!

RUDIE

It's a Christmas miracle! A new toon has arrived! And he's definitely going to treat you like a gift... even if you were added to the toon roster before Christmas..

Not that he'd care all that much, a miracle is a miracle! And he's going to make sure you know his beliefs! Overall a joy to talk to even if he's caught up in the holidays

He is a little sad when he has to leave when the holidays end, but he promises he'll come talk to you the second he can again! He'll tell you all about what he did when he was away! Not much happens, but...!

This is the sideblog for my purely fun personal project: a reimagining of Astro Boy, motivated by my love of the 2009 movie and my frustration with things I think it didn't do very well, told in the form of a comic drawn in the best mimicry of Tezuka's style that I can manage. While the movie's plot is the basis of my story, I have worked in elements from every other version I'm familiar with (which is, admittedly, nowhere near all of them, but is at least a good few) - and made some adjustments to the worldbuilding for my own joy and convenience. This results in certain drastic changes.

Why did you call it that? Because it's funny.

Why try to draw it in Tezuka's style? Because it's funny.

Which versions of Astro Boy are you familiar with? The 2009 film, the Dark Horse editions of the original manga (up to partway through volume 22), the 2003 anime (dubbed), the 2003 manga (up to partway through volume 2), Pluto (manga), Atom: The Beginning (manga, up to volume 10), a handful of 1980 anime episodes, and The Original Astro Boy comics from the 80s.

I have not interacted with the fandom before starting this. I have read zero fanfics.

Anyway, enjoy and don't be weird about it, but also if you have thoughts about how to appropriately represent certain cultures (because we know how that sort of thing often went in the original manga) then I will happily take advice.

Hi, hello, and greetings! My codename is Tru (other things you can call me are Aster and Astro, and maybe Hue but I have an OC named Hue so I might get confuzzled). I am an afro-irish girl who currently goes by she/they pronouns, and I love love LOVE writing and illustrating (I do both traditional and digital art). Because I love those things so much, I decided to make this account, with my main/personal being @randomdidsomething (no longer active). Currently looking for some cool moots in the creative sphere, have you be a fellow writer, traditional/digital artist, screenwriter, animator, etc., or just a jack of all trades :)

Very good question! As of now, this blog is just my journey in personal growth within the sphere of art and general creative works. I'm very passionate about my original stuff right now, and I'm currently working on an animated series called "Beyond Time and Space," which is a fantasy, portal world, coming of age adventure. More on that another day because I'm still trying to figure out how I can talk about it without going off the rails about why I love it so much :) In other words, expect most of my posts to also be w.i.p.s and fanart of that.

OKAY. UH, ANYTHING THAT INTERESTS YOU?

As said before, I'm very much into original art in general, but what type of art specifically piques my interest? A good old mix of fantasy and sci-fi is something I will always love to see, especially if they're together. Give me something about a techno-magic alliance and I will EAT THAT UP! Nothing is better than good old robots and wizards being pals :) (also anything featuring minority characters, like I'll lap that stuff up, buddy boy, yum yum)

My interests do tend to fluctuate, though. One moment I'll be into both, another moment just one, and the next I'll be into neither of them but rather the psychology of the human condition. It really just depends.

Fandom-wise, I'd generally consider myself multifandom, or just out of fandoms in general. Some would consider me part of the Disney sphere (or as I like to call it, "Gisnep"), others see me as a huge transformers fan (and don't get them wrong, I definitely am), but I actually haven't been indulging in those things for a VERY long while now (at least up until 2023). The only fandom I've been consistent with as of recent is the object show community, and that's only because my brother's in it.

Thy Favourite Gay: Intro to Me

Hello! ‘Tis I, Thomas, AKA thyfavouritegay here on Tumblr. My blog is... sort of (completely) a mess of things, so I write this to be a me masterpost. In this post, I will be going over numerous things, including: fandoms I am in/will interact with, some triggers and DNIs, as well as some fun facts. This, I predict, will be terrible to write as well as read, so I suppose I should get started.

Fun facts:

I am a mild grammar/spelling nerd, and although I am trying to not to bug people with corrections these days, I will talk in what my friends (both real-life and online) call a “Shakespearian”, “old English-ish”, and “fancy as fuck” tone quite often. I like calling it my “heretically incorrect mocking of old English”, but I’ll take what I can get.

I am genderfluid, omniromantic, and asexual. To me, this is to say that my gender changes and shifts---which is why I say “default to they/them” instead of just “they/them” because I don’t want to be seen as bearing unchanging pronouns, I can feel romantic attraction to all genders in different ways and attraction ratios (like, male:female:enby umbrella, how often to I catch feelings for each) but do not feel comfortable using the labels bi or pan because of the assumptions and biases behind them, and I feel no attraction to anyone sexually. If you have questions, feel free to ask me (not because I am queer and have any manner of obligation to explain myself, but because I enjoy rambling)!

I have way too many OCs, help. Also too many fictional worlds.

I am bilingual! I am fluent in English and French (my native language is English though), and am also learning Norwegian and Japanese.

Plus his voice is incredibly beautiful and I could listen to him sing forever.

Ult group: A.C.E, their music makes me feel alive and really helps during the times I don't feel anything. Their music is empowering to me and it's like going outside and feeling the sun on your face and fresh air in your lungs. Honestly their music has made me see the world in a much brighter and more adventurous way and I really appreciate what they've done for me.

Problem is it’s hard to be unbiased...like, I think Who Am I (B1A4) is a flawless album and everyone should listen to it, but it’s not gonna be everyone’s thing and that’s fine. 2 albums I do think are worth listening to/owning even if I don’t stan the groups that made them are SHINee’s Hello repackage and Block B’s Blockbuster albums. Not a bad song on either, seriously so good.

Oh my lord. My boyfriend just came home with 3 cats and told me that he found them in a box in some sketchy alley way and now he refuses to let us take them to a shelter and insists that we keep them

Bin opening the box and seeing the smallest three kittens he’s ever seen in his life - one could easily fit in the palm of his hand

   You and Dongmin stood in front of the camera, microphones in hand. You waited for the cameraman’s cue, fiddling with the outline of your name that was attached to the microphone, and smiled when he held up a thumbs up. “Eunwoo,” you greeted, a wide grin playing your lips. “I heard the next group is entering deep in fans’ hearts. Is this true?” The lines you and Dongmin had practiced time after time before appeared in your mind ever so clearly, it was as if you had the script with you.

   Dongmin turned to you with a soft smile, “Yes, [S/N], it’s true.” He looked to you a moment longer before turning his head and facing the camera. “On rainy nights, fans think of them and can’t sleep.” The camera panned out, reveal the members of KNK standing next to the two MCs. As a fan of them, you had to refrain yourself from smiling too much. “Welcome, KNK!”

   The interview went by accordingly and without a hitch. The main vocalists had a chance to sing the chorus to their newest title song, Rain, whilst the entire group promoted themselves. When the cameraman told you that the camera had stopped rolling, you smiled at the five and Dongmin respectively before retreating off the set. You thanked the staff member who handed you a waterbottle, downing its contents easily.

   You heard a door open, followed by the rowdy noise of a group of men entering the studio. You quickly noticed your fellow MC, Dongmin, getting surrounded by his group members. You smiled to yourself, turning away as you got your hair fixed by another staff member. You really liked Astro, they were one of your favourite groups, if not your favourite.

   Across the room, Bin stood in awe of your presence. He had been a giant fan of your group, M.U.R.A., ever since you had your official debut three years ago. He really admired M.U.R.A. because the group had a fantastic blend of dance, vocals, and rap– not to mention the hilarious videos your co-ed group filmed. He was broken out of his reverie when he felt someone gently nudge him. When he turned his head, he was met with Dongmin grinning at him whilst laughing quietly to himself. Behind him, Minhyuk and Sanha were whispering to each other, both glancing over to Bin occasionally and laughing. “What?” he asked, cheeks flushing at getting caught staring.

   Dongmin subtly nodded his head in your direction, his grin growing as the seconds passed. “I can introduce you to them, you know.” Bin’s burning cheeks seemingly caught fire as he turned a bright firetruck red. Before he could even sputter a reply, Dongmin was calling your name. Somewhere in the studio, they could hear Seungjun and Jihun laughing loudly.

   Bin stiffened as you bounded toward them, a gentle smile gracing your features. “Hello,” you greeted the rookie group kindly. Most of them replied with an enthusiastic hello or a small smile and the bow of their head. “What’s up, Dongmin?” Bin nearly fell over. The fact that you, [Y/L/N] [Y/N], stood in front of him barely processed in his mind as he tried to conceal his growing grin.

   Dongmin slung an arm over Bin’s shoulder, much to his chagrin. “Bin, here, is a huge Royal and, if you don’t mind, he’d like a picture and an autograph.” Bin gaped like a fish, his mouth opening and closing as he struggled to piece together a coherent sentence. Meanwhile, you laughed at Bin’s flustered appearance, genuine glee filling your entire being at the thought of Bin being a part of your fandom.

   “Of course I wouldn’t mind,” you chuckled. You motioned for Bin to stand beside you. After getting a small push from Jinwoo, Bin stood at your side, looking stiff and awkward. “Relax, I don’t bite.” You sent him another smile before taking out your phone. You held it out, smiling immediately. Practically forcing himself to loosen up, Bin smiled and held up a simple peace sign.

   You still had a smile on your face as you looked at the taken photo. You turned to Bin, holding out your phone slightly. He stared at your outstretched hand in confusion, glancing over to his group members in a silent plea for help. Laughter tumbled from your lips as you stared over at the male in adoration. “I’d like to send you the photo, but in order to do that, I need your number you know.”

   Myungjun stood with Dongmin and exclaimed loudly with pride, not even trying to be subtle in the slightest. You felt your face heat up slightly, but it didn’t amount to the flushed expression Bin wore. Wordlessly, Bin took your phone and added his number to your contacts. Handing it back to you, he watched as you gave him a contact name. “There,” you piped happily, showing him his contact.

   You didn’t think it was possible, but Bin became even more shy and red the moment his eyes landed on his given name. Before either of you could utter another word, you heard your name being called by your manager. You quickly bid the boys goodbye, smiling but a moment longer at Bin, before rushing off to where your manager stood with a grin.

   “Look at Bin,” Minhyuk laughed aloud. “He’s practically a tomato!” Bin couldn’t even retaliate because he knew it was probably true. He pursed his lips in embarrassment, hiding his cheeks in his hands.

   “What’d [Y/N] use for your contact? You looked really surprised,” Sanha asked, the look on the older male piquing his curiosity. Seeing the hesitant look on his face, Sanha elbowed him gently. “Cmon, Bin, tell us!’

   There was a slight pause. “Just my name,” Bin uttered, kicking his feet slightly. Jinwoo arched a brow, unconvinced with Bin’s lackluster response. The simple look made Bin crumble. “Fine, fine! But don’t tease me, okay?” He sharply inhaled as he braced himself for the teasing laughter, “they put a heart next to my name.”

   Needless to say, the studio was filled with the screams and laughter coming from the group.

   Dongmin had a toothy grin as he stared at the camera head on. An aura of pride surrounded him– it was obvious he was quite excited for the next group you had to introduce and interview. “This group is very close to me,” he said in a joking manner. “It’s as if they’re my own members.” You rolled your eyes, as your manager had instructed you do, giving Dongmin an incredulous look.

   “Eunwoo,” you piped, trying your hardest to appear neutral when in reality all you wanted to do was curl up in a ball and cringe for years. “They are your members,” you refrained yourself from snorting at the line. Dongmin made a noise of recognition before you continued. “Recently, this group have been making fans fall hard for them,” Dongmin thanked you quietly, “with their catchy and refreshing album.”

   Dongmin took the reins, his smile never wavering as he introduced his own group. “Please welcome, Astro!” You and Dongmin clapped as the camera moved to reveal the remaining members of Astro standing together as they waved.

   You cleared your throat, “Could you tell the fans what your new album, Dream Part One, is about?”

   As Jinwoo went on to explain their new concept, with the boys occasionally making a few comments, Bin stayed quiet and merely nodded along with his leader’s words. He glanced over to you quickly, sneaking a small smile when he saw how immersed you were in the new album. When you opened your mouth to speak, he looked over at you unabashedly. “Please sing a part for us,” you requested with a small smile. Excitement bubbled inside of you. Despite having seen the boys perform the song live several times, you still couldn’t get over their honey vocals.

   Bin and Myungjun stepped ahead of the rest slightly, moving into position quickly as Bin softly sang his line. “Baby, it’s now, oh my baby. Your hidden truth, I’m curious about it.” You noticed Dongmin half-heartedly moving his hands to the choreography, but you paid no mind to it, too into the small performance.

   “Baby, at this moment, oh my baby,” Myungjun finished, shooting the camera a smile. He and Bin moved back to their original standings quickly. You clapped for them, as did Dongmin.

   “Now, fans are curious; who would you be singing Baby to?” you asked, moving to look at Dongmin as well.

   Without hesitation, the boys all spoke at the same time. “Aroha,” they chorused with a smile. You smiled slightly in adoration, making brief eye contact with Bin. You looked away, knowing if you kept staring you probably wouldn’t stop. The interview went on and laughter ensued. When it was almost time for the interview to be over, Sanha turned to you with an almost mischievous smile, the corner of his lips curling up as he glanced at Bin, who was oblivious.

   “[S/N],” he quickly said before the cameraman could stop filming. “If you don’t mind, we’re curious as to what part of Baby is your favourite. Eunwoo told us you’re a fan.” Surprised at the sudden, unscripted question you fumbled with your next words a bit. However, you knew you had to stay calm and collected as a MC, so you kept smiling.

   “I would have to say one of Moonbin’s lines, it’s after Sanha sings.” The boys simultaneously ‘oh’ed, Dongmin even swinging his arm over Bin’s shoulders. When the boys asked you to sing the line, you chuckled in amusement. You’d probably be too shy to say this on camera, much less in front of the boys themselves, but you had to admit that the boys truly did resemble hyperactive puppies (which you adored). You cleared your throat again, staring into the camera as you sang. “Who can I blame? It was me who fell for you.”

   The boys, including Dongmin, clapped for you, seemingly amazed. Bin sported a grin he didn’t have moments before, looking down shyly for but a moment before he looked up and composed himself. You laughed to yourself, shaking your head. “Anyway, Astro is performing soon, so keep watching!”

   At your cue, they started waving just like they did at the beginning of the interview. When the camera was turned off, you let your smile fall for a moment. You yawned, tired from the interviews and your own group’s schedules. “Good job today,” the members of Astro chorused. You said the same, shooting them a small smile before happily accepting the cup of juice your manager handed you.

   The boys were shooed out quickly, going off to get their makeup touched up before their stage. You were grateful that they were the last group you had to record with, because frankly you were extremely tired. You greeted staff members as you walked past them, heading to the waiting room your group shared with another – who you sure was KNK – before plopping down on a chair next to Sonha, your group’s leader.

   “Tired?” she asked, amusement obvious in her tone. You nodded, taking another sip of your juice. She stayed quiet, letting you rest your head on her shoulder as she scrolled through her phone. On the other side of you, Eunjae and Gunmin, the main dancers of M.U.R.A., talked to each other excitedly. Upon noticing your arrival, Eunjae looked to you with a curious expression.

   “How was MCing with Eunwoo? And interviewing Astro?” He asked, eyes sparkling with adoration. “Gosh, you’re so lucky! I wish I could interview Astro,” he pouted, making you laugh. Eunjae was easily your group’s cutest member, which has led to many funny moments both onscreen and off.

   “They’re all really nice,” you mumbled tiredly, “I’ll introduce you to them if I can.”

   Eunjae grinned at you, exclaiming his thanks before turning to fanboy with Gunmin, though it was sort of one-sided. Before anyone else could say more, Astro appeared on the television in front of you, dancing to their song effortlessly. You sat up straight, your fatigue no longer on your mind. You watched them perform intently, a growing smile on your face. Turning to Sonha, you tilted your head when she winked. Before you knew it, Sonha was pulling you out of your chair and dancing along to the song. You knew the choreography from watching their dance practice several times and danced with her.

   You could hear Eunjae and Gunmin cheering you on, their cheers making you dance even harder. Across the room, KNK chuckled at your antics. Seungjun and Heejun even joined you. Not long after, the song ended and the four of you sat down, huffing in exhaustion. Your past tiredness came back to you, as you fell asleep quickly on Eunjae’s shoulder.

   Bin thanked the staff members respectfully as he walked down the hall behind the stage, sweat dripping from his forehead as he moved. Behind him, the boys talked idly. When they reached their waiting room, Bin noticed he had gotten a text from Jihun. When he opened it, he nearly jumped up and down on the spot.

   Jihun had sent him a video of you and Sonha dancing along to Baby, even singing along from time to time. Bin didn’t even notice how widely he was grinning until he felt Minhyuk look at his phone over his shoulder. Only when the younger male started laughing did he look up. “What’re you watching?” Myungjun asked after swallowing a gulp of water. Bin handed over his phone, replaying the video for them.

   The boys chuckled as they watched, bursting out into laughter as Sonha stumbled and bumped into you, the two of you leaning on each other as you attempted to keep singing along to the song. Attempted being the keyword; you and Sonha being too busy focusing on not falling over.

   Taking his phone back, Bin saved the video. He quickly opened your contact, a smug grin on his face as he typed away.

   You ; now    [Y/N]~~ what a cute fan

   Bin knew that he would never be able to say those words out loud, but he felt more secure saying it over text. He awaited your response, knowing you weren’t busy with schedules after hearing you tell Dongmin earlier in the day.

   [Y/N] ❤ ; now    Huh?

   When Bin sent the video to him, all you sent back in response was a blushing emoji.

   The next day, your manager entered your room with a raised brow. “[Y/N], have you seen this?” she asked, handing you her phone. When you took it, you were surprised to see an article about you and Bin. Your eyes widened when they trailed over the title of the article. You read the title again, shocked.

   M.U.R.A.’s [Y/N] and Astro’s Moonbin Rumoured to be Dating?

   Yesterday, Astro appeared on Music Core, where fellow member Cha Eunwoo and M.U.R.A. member, [S/N], are currently MCs. Fans are speculating whether Astro member, Moonbin, and [S/N] are dating, due to Moonbin’s mannerisms during their interview, as shown in the video below. Moonbin has also acted similarly in past interactions between the two groups. His behaviour has lead to fans believing a possible relationship between the M.U.R.A. member and himself. Neither Fantagio or Woollim Entertainment have confirmed the rumors, but…

   You stopped yourself from reading, your eyebrows raised in surprise. “Fans think we’re dating because he looked at me a few times?” you asked incredulously, more to yourself than anyone. “That’s reaching just a bit, don’t you think?”

   Your manager nodded, knowing very well that you weren’t dating anyone, much less Bin. “I agree, but Jungyeop wants to see you. He’s already issued a meeting with Na Byungjun and Moonbin for tomorrow and he wants you to attend.” You nodded with a sigh, running your hand through your already tousled hair.

   The day went by quickly, with M.U.R.A. being extremely busy with a radio show recording, two photoshoots, a fanmeet, and an interview. You had practically fallen asleep the moment your head touched your soft pillow. You would’ve liked to sleep in, since M.U.R.A. didn’t have a schedule the next day, but alas you were awoken by your manager. “The meeting’s in an hour in Jungyeop’s office,” she had told you as she pulled your covers off.

   You were still half asleep when your manager had dropped you off at Woollim’s headquarters. You trudged through the hallway, willing yourself to smile at anyone you walked passed. You closed your eyes once you entered the elevator to the top floor, leaning against the far wall as you stifled a yawn. Once the elevator stopped, you headed to Jungyeop’s office, knocking against the wooden door softly.

   “Come in.”

   You entered his office, quickly noticing the presence of Bin and a man you assumed was Na Byungjun. You greeted them quietly before taking a seat beside Bin. You tried to ignore the way Bin’s gaze lingered on you for a few seconds too long, but it was obvious that both Jungyeop and Byungjun noticed. Straight to the point, Jungyeop leaned over his desk. “Moonbin, are you in any way infatuated with [Y/N]?”

   Bin was quick to deny the accusation, looking away when you looked in his direction. “No, sir.” His voice was soft, as if he was scared to raise it even just a bit higher. “I’m just a really big fan of M.U.R.A., that’s all.” You smiled down at your lap slightly.

   “And you, [Y/N],” Byungjun turned his attention to you. “Do you have feelings for Bin?”

   You shook your head, “I’m only a fan of Astro, since Sonha, Eunjae, Gunmin, and I watched To Be Continued a few years ago.” It was true, you didn’t hold any romantic feelings for Bin. But, though you’d never say it outloud, you could definitely see yourself liking him in the future. Now, however, you didn’t want to let yourself fall for him. He was, after all, still considered a rookie and you knew it could be bad for both Astro and M.U.R.A. if he was caught dating.

   Both Jungyeop and Byungjun dismissed you and Bin, instructing you to stay outside the door. Once the door shut behind you, Bin turned to you with an apologetic look. “I’m sorry about this,” he murmured, “the whole rumor started because of me.”

   You smiled over at him, “It’s okay, Bin. Some fans just assumed you and I were in a relationship, it’s nothing to beat yourself up over.” Bin hesitated for a moment before nodding. “Besides, it’s not like you actually like me. No matter what anyone else says, at the end of the day the rumors are false.”

   You stared ahead, staring at whatever view the window in front of you provided. Because of this, you didn’t notice the way Bin bit his lip as he stared down at his feet as if they were the most interesting thing in the world.

   Not long after, the door opened and both CEOs walked out. “We’re going to have you two deny the rumors in separate interviews,” Byungjun said. “We don’t want this to happen again, so keep the staring to a minimum in front of cameras, please,” he stared at Bin with a cocked brow. In return, the male nodded sheepishly. “We’ll have an interview ready for this afternoon, so until then you’re allowed to return to your respective dorms.” You bid Jungyeop goodbye before heading down to the elevator, with Bin and Byunjun following behind. The three of you entered the elevator together, the small space quiet– the only noise being the whirring of the elevator as it travelled down to the ground floor.

   Saying your goodbyes to the two, you bounded over to your manager. “All good?” she asked, pushing her glasses back up the bridge of her nose.

   You glanced over your shoulder at Bin, who stared back, before smiling at her. “All good.”

   Astro and Co-Ed Group M.U.R.A. Set to Collaborate for the First Time!

   Two years after Moonbin, Astro, and [S/N], M.U.R.A., were rumored to be dating – which was later confirmed as false by both companies – the two groups are said to be collaborating for a special stage on September 6th! Ever since the minor controversy, neither of the groups have interacted or been seen together once Cha Eunwoo, Astro, and [S/N] were replaced as MCs. Because of this, fans are very excited to see the collaboration.

   “M.U.R.A.’s practicing hard for the collaboration,” fellow lablemate Kim Sunggyu, Infinite, commented recently. “I can’t say much, but I can tell you it’s going to be amazing.”

   Fans and other alike are waiting patiently for September 6th.

   You panted, staring yourself down as you held your position for a second longer after the music stopped. You could hear your manager instructing for another go, only walking off to take a long drink from your water bottle. You had been practicing with Sonha, Eunjae, and Gunmin for an hour now, the moves engraved into the side of your brain.

   The four of you moved into your starting positions, bowing your head as you each posed individually. Your manager started the music, the song starting out slow before exploding into a hip hop-esque beat. Throughout the chorus, the moves got harder, faster, you stumbling a bit as you mouthed your line. Your manager noticed as she sighed. You frowned as you moved out of the way for Gunmin to sing his line.

   Many, many practices later, you weren’t making nearly as many mistakes, give or take a few. It was awkward, dancing a choreography made for ten with four people, but you all managed. “Take a break,” your manager called, handing each of you your refilled bottles. The four of you thanked her comically before collapsing on the cool ground of the practice room. “Astro will be arriving soon for the group practice, so use your break well.”

   “Yes manager,” the four of you mumbled, fatigued after hours of practice. The group began to talk idly between breaths, each of you swallowing about half of your bottles in a single go. Before long, the door to the room swung open and you were greeted with the sight of Astro in casual clothing. Each of them had a bag slung over their shoulder, looking a lot more comfortable than your group did, sprawled on the ground, damp with sweat.

   It was a bit embarrassing, being seen in such a state in front of a group you idolized, but you had seen them in a similar way many times before so you were used to it. The six of them greeted both you and the manager as they dropped their bags in a corner. Putting your water bottles to the side, M.U.R.A. stood up and stretched their limbs before moving into position. Astro followed soon after, pulling off their coats and joining you.

   Before the music could start, you made eye contact with Bin. Smiling cheekily, you simply winked at him.

   Grinning, he winked back.
