ANNABETH CHASE AND GABE?
I am, in fact comparing the two.
To those Annabeth stans, who no doubt will find this.. Block me, if you don't want to see this.
Or hate on me. I genuinely couldn't care.
I don't think annabeth is as bad as gabe (nope, ofc not) but she is very toxic and she hurts percy alot. Her lack of character growth is genuinely frustrating to me. I think they need to breakup, and heal by themselves. Alone.
Percy is constantly being put down by her. There realtionship is toxic, and generally abusive in my POV.
Annabeth hits him all the time, which we see in the books. He actually admits to wanting to off himself after she puts down his power, in which was the ONLY reason they even survived.
She keeps him on a lead, basically. I love Leah, so this post is not at all directed towards her. It's directed towards those who are Annabeth stans, Percabeth stans or overall those who ignore the flaws in Annabeth chase.
We know that Gabe hit Percy, and we know his nickname for the child was "Brain Boy." Annabeth is shown to hit percy very often, and has the nickname "Seaweed brain" for him. The nickname is similar to Gabes one for him.
We also know that the nickname started as a insult. Percy asked Annie multiple times to change it, or to overall not call him it. In her pride, she ignores him. She states at one point, (I can't find the actual quote but It goes sm like this) that she knows he will warm up to it eventually.
Percy stopped telling her off about it because he KNEW she wouldn't listen.
Im not downplaying the trauma Percy went through, but I think annabeth makes it worse. When she judo-fliped him, she essentially risked his life.
She was NEVER informed that the Achillies Curse was gone. She knew where his heel was, and essentially risked hitting it when she judo-fliped him. He trusted her, and she risked his life because she was upset??
She makes HIM apologise to HER for being kidnapped. That's a toxic trait, as it's controlling. It's something a abusive person, or someone with abusive tendencies would do.
Yes, Percy is the strongest demigod alive. But in that scene it wouldn't of mattered. She also risked getting Camp Jupiter to literally attack her.
Annabeth was literally unhealthily obsessed with her attachments to people. To her family, her sense of belonging. Her crush on Luke as a pre-teen, which is relatively normal, (even after his death, the narrative makes it clear that Annie doesn't see her feelings as sisterly to him.) Is really weird.
She seems upset that Luke seemed to "love" her back, and immediately takes his words as him loving her back. And yet, she denies her feelings even after we find out she doesn't even consider her feelings sisterly to him!
She refuses to see her own flaws. And so the stans, so fuckin block me if you don't like anti-annabeth posts. Tell me to kms. I genuinely don't care!
Annabeth is a character I will never like.
And you CANNOT convince me otherwise, so don't even try arguing with me.

dark sbi alien au
(this felt like it was way longer because of world building just as a warning, like cool concept but why did i go so in-depth world building for such a random idea lol)
tommy is a human. humans do not have instincts in the typically universal alien way. alien sbi have no knowledge of this.
tommy is rescued from an illegal trafficking ring, along with the other kidnapped aliens, by a group of space pirates/mercenaries who are working for the local planets government, who send all the other kidnapped aliens to their home planets, who are rather shocked to now have a human on their planet that they have no clue what to do with.
the planet's government is kind of sketchy but not completely immoral, they don't plan to kill tommy off or anything, but they can't bring him to the galactic council to try and see if they can return him to earth, because it would bring alot of attention to their planet and the dubious/illegal things they do to keep it safe. like hiring mercenaries.
in fact, mercenaries solve alot of their problems. this situation for example.
they have a lot of mercenaries who they hire for miscellaneous things, who they would trust not to betray them to the galactic council, but not alot who wouldn't just sell tommy back to traffickers when left unattended.
buuut mercenaries like the syndicate wouldn't.
the syndicate are then hired and payed ALOT to take tommy on and let him stay on their ship with them.
so tommy stays with them and the sbi get attached, of course its dark sbi so they all are pretty instinctively attached to each other, and used to using each others unique instincts to get what they want from the other.
what they want now is for tommy to be family, and they plan to go about it the usual way they do.
now, the planets government pays and does alot to ensure tommy's comfortability over the course of his stay with the sbi, like give the trafficking's files on tommy's human biology, over to the mercenaries so they know what to feed tommy that won't make him sick.
the sbi don't exactly know that the other parts of the file not pertaining to diet are wrong and exaggerated.
they take quite a few things out of context.
namely, that tommy, as a human, would automatically feel the need to take care of sick or weaker looking things and then consider them family.
as such, techno and Phil come up with a plan doomed to fail.
techno fakes being sick in order to get tommy to come into his room/den, which tommy had previously refused to come inside (because he was told at some point that it was considered rude to do so for techno's species unless you were close family.)
tommy comes inside to deliver techno some food that phil has insisted that he was too busy to bring to techno, and freaks out just a little when techno acts like he's on his death bed.
techno thinks tommy is getting swept up in his instincts.
tommy is just overwhelmed because he doesn't know if he should tell phil to call a doctor or something or if that would be too troublesome or if phil and techno even can call a doctor because they are criminals.
techno makes tommy sit with him for like 2 hours waiting for tommy to start reacting or anything. tommy is only sitting there because techno asked and he couldnt say no to the poor sick guy.
plan failed. techno has to stop pretending to be sick eventually and tommy hasnt suddenly started treating them like how the folder says humans treat family.
(folder says humans need their family to be near them at all times or they freak out and get violent) (which is behavior they observed from other kidnapped humans but exaggerated, because again aliens all think humans are instinctively driven just like all other species registered in the galactic council)
so sbi are trying to make tommy act like they are family, which because he's been staying with them for like 8 human months already and he is really lonely, he sorta already considers them to be.
but they dont know that so the plans go on
they stay really close to tommy and attached at the hip with him to try and get him to pack bond with them
they think eating all their meals with him will help him bond with them, tommy just thinks they wanted to hang out
then they think giving him all his food instead of having him make it himself, will make him think of them as providers but it only gets them weird looks
and then because theyve used all they can of the files, they decide fuck it the files must be wrong, which is true, but they decide to find out what tommy's human instincts are, they're just gonna see if any of their instincts also align with his
so they have tommy sleep with them all in one room with a bunch of pillows and blankets, under the guise of a human movie night that tommy told them about (phil's instincts)
they have tommy fake save them from soemthing? maybe he saves them from like other space pirates or something as a coincidence and they just write it off as not it. (techno's instincts)
idk what wilburs would be, playing and chasing each other wround? maybe like some weird form of tag that tommy only entertains because he misses earth?
then a horrible idea occurs to them...what if humans bond for life and tommy already has a family back on earth?
they ask tommy if he had a family back on earth, tommy says he used to have parents but they gave him up for adoption.
they ask what adoption is
tommy tells them and explains the whole process of being put up for adoption and getting adopted.
they then decide, that of course, that must mean humans have to ask and be accepted into families.
so they ask tommy if they could "adopt" him
tommy is like ???? i thought we were already sorta fam? oh no did i assume wrong?!?
and then they get embarresed and explain what happened and after all this flailing about and plotting to figure it out themselves they finally just ask tommy what his instincts are
only for tommy to say humans done have any
(btw when i wrote this i remember thinking this ending was really funny) (anyways happy thanksgiving to anyone who celebrates ig)

can you do a scenario where readen sneaks out and takes her and heethans baby and moves somewhere far far away with the money she's been saving up but heethan still finds her?
thanks alot <33333
"Where Will You Go?"
Warnings: runaway, stalking, kidnapping, drugging, human rights violation, abuse of authority in a relationship, traditional yandere type sh*t. insane love, dom!heethan and sub! readen vibes.
So.....if you haven't already, i would go and take a look at the canon smaus in each arc of the series, because otherwise you might not get the signature trademark quote of heethan. lol.
"Shhh...it’s okay baby...mama is here." cradling your baby boy, rocking him in your arms as you attempt to feed him, you hush his cries and sing a soft lullaby. Gazing out the window, you watch the scenic blur of the wide landscape, the foliage meshing with the blue sky as the train continues to travel at such a high speed. You look down and admire your baby boy, just only shy of 6 months old, too young to travel but you had to take the opportunity when you saw it, and use it to escape.
you hoped he’d understand, after all, you truly did love him….but his manners scared you. He loved you entirely too much, and intensely, it was all beginning to suffocate you, especially after what happened over 15 months ago, when you found out that you were pregnant with your boy, yet it was odd to you. You we’re religiously taking your birth control, never skipping a single day, yet right after you discovered your pills had all be replaced by sugar pills of the same size and color, you knew what he had done. He never hid the fact that he wanted a child with you, in fact, it was the way he knew he could keep you grounded forever, not to mention that any children coming from the both of you was considered a result of his devoted love for you. Whether you were ready or not, he didn’t care, his love for you was so great that he sabotaged your education, career, and your future, all by enforcing you into the stages of motherhood so early on.
he was wrong, yes. But things like that made him so powerful, desirable, and worthy of your affection, which is why you had to go. You had to leave, it was for your own good. It didn’t matter if you enjoyed him…..if you loved him….that hardly meant he was good for you. This was the better choice, all to save yourself and raising your child in peace.
you arranged with a long time friend from high school to stay with her, she was dear and loving, and opened up her home to you. She mentioned she would be gone on vacation by the time you arrived, but that she would leave the keys hidden and notify you of the location later.
after a long ride, you finally arrive at your destination. Your child rests, asleep in your arms and cradling your bosom with his small hand. Getting a taxi, you gave the address of the house and was dropped off just shy of 20 minutes away from the station.
your friend texts you and relays the secret location of the house keys. Once you had retrieved them, you let yourself in, all the while carrying your sleeping child. Turning on the lights, you settle in and take your baby upstairs, tucking him in the spare guest room that you’ll both be sleeping in. Nestling him under the blanket, you head back down and begin searching for rentals nearby. You avoided in informing your parents of your sudden move, not wanting to go public with the news until you were able to firmly station yourself, and your son. No doubt they’ll have many question as to why you chose to move without the father of your child, your fiancé, the one whom you were in love with, but deathly afraid of.
Skimming through numerous webpages, you grew tired after saving the top properties of your choice. You tiresomely sigh out as you checked and noticed how late it was. Closing your laptop screen, you sign off and shut off all the lights downstairs, saving the kitchen for last. Getting a glass of water, you nearly gulped the entire glass when something caught your eye from the side, under the shadows of the dining room. Frowning a confused look, you set the glass down on the counter and walked over to the table. Flipping on the lights to the hanging chandelier, you gasped out in horror as you recognized the black cap that was stationed near the edge, along with a pair of unfamiliar keys to what you assumed, was a rental.
"I-it......it cant be....."
Just then, you suddenly thought of your baby napping upstairs. Running up the stairs, you call out your son's name as you swing the door wide open, and turn on the lights. To your relief, he was still in bed, deeply asleep. You walked over, looking around cautiously, even checking the private bathroom and cleared out the closet; no one was in sight. Pulling the blanket up and tucking in your baby, you softly kiss his head before exiting the room. Immediately going through the halls, you scurried through each room to clear out the surroundings. You knew he was here, lurking around, there was no doubt about it. Yet every area you checked was clear, there was no one in sight, not to mention the security system in the house had been activated the moment you arrived. He couldn't have broken or snuck in without setting it off. So then how?.....
With a stale heartbeat, you called up your friend.
"Hello? Y/N? Is everything alright?"
"uh yeah, i was just wondering...if you had access to all your camera systems stationed outside.....would you be able to check them? I thought i saw something...."
"yeah, gimme a sec."
After a few moments, she chimes back in and tells you that all was clear and that the cameras didn't display any signs of an intruder.
"Probably a wild animal roaming around."
"yeah....probably." You respond back, not entirely reassured.
"Get some rest, if anything happens, just call the police. Make sure that your bedroom door is locked."
Nodding, you ended the call and set your phone down. Glancing over to the side once more, you set your sights on the dining table, noting that the hat and keys were still there.
"Heeseung...I know you're here.....come out." you softly call out as you tapped your fingers on the counter top. Rather than being scared and fretting at the thought in running into him, you figured you would brave up and call out to him. Perhaps you can even appeal to his loving sense and talk things over. Yet, no matter how softly you called out to him, the entire house was quiet, and he was nowhere to be found. Other than yourself, and your son, the house was empty. Did he leave? Figuring it was best to call him, you unblocked his phone number as you took another sip out of your glass. The phone rings and you wait for him to answer....but then you heard something. It was faint, yet you recognized the sound. Following the noise, you got closer to the ringtone, it was his ringtone. Trailing through the hallway, you heard it coming from inside the closet. Opening it, all that was displayed were a line of coats and jackets neatly hanged up; sifting through each hanger, you pause upon seeing a black tanker jacket that you recognized. Inside the pocket, was his phone, still ringing as you had him on call. Hanging up, you unlocked his screen and saw an unread text message. Opening it, your eyes slowly widened as you read off the text....
Your breath frozen and you felt your heart drop. Shaking in fear, you slowly turned around, inch by inch, but before you could make a full turn, a shroud of darkness took over your sights as you experienced sudden tunnel vision. Your body goes limp and your weight becomes dense; falling, you felt a strong pair of hands catching you, breaking the fall. Your vision grew blurry, and though it was faint, you could hear his calm voice whispering into your ear as he pets the back of your head, embracing you in his arms.
"Shhh.....shh-sh-sh. Go to sleep babydoll, daddy is here to bring you and baby boy back home." With the feel of his breath grazing over your neck and cheek, you gasped out your words, finding it hard to even speak as you fought against the effects of whatever it was he put in the glass of water you left on the counter top. How careless of you.
"H-Heeseung...?"
With a dark tone to his voice, he grits his teeth into a smirk and responds, right before you black out.
"Wrong name, baby."

Ikemen Vampire Part 15 - Charles-Henri Sanson Route
Considering how gentle Charles is all the time, it's crazy that their first meeting was so physical but I'm not complaining, that kiss on her neck to get these guys to back off was hot. Charles is so cute, I love him, especially when he told the heroine to practise calling his name without any formalities haha. He's so flirty, I love it hahaha. Charles is so right about Faust though, he seems scary but is a big softie on the inside hahaha. Charles rambles alot about wanting to be loved so I'm curious about why that is. It's cute how they enjoyed a very typical date and Charles even had the heroine promise that she'll never cry alone anymore and that he'll be with her. Warm hands, warm heart sounds like a nice thing. It's kinda cute how smitten Charles is with the heroine, but it seems like we will get to know more about him now. I never knew he was the executioner who executed both King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette so that was interesting to know. I guess that unsettling feeling about Charles' smiles and "love" has come to light. To him, in order to be loved, you need to keep giving more and more love to the other person in response and that way, you'll receive more and more love as well, which is understandable to an extent but also so saddening because it just goes to show that the love Charles knows of has always been a transactional form of love more than anything else.
Something I found sweet was when Vlad asked Charles to bring the heroine to the mansion and Charles hesitated because he wants to protect her from getting hurt more than anything else, enough that he was willing to oppose Vlad and I think that's really good already considering how he always tries to get on Vlad's good side. I actually feel quite bad for the heroine. At least in Faust's route, she was kidnapped from the get go so she never thought Faust was a good person, but with Charles, she trusted him, liked him and then got kidnapped to meet his "god", I would be terrified. Teaching Charles about love huh? It's a weird condition she must fullfill to be allowed to leave but a very difficult one lol. Let me say that when I first started this route, I didn't expect Charles to be the most "promiscuous" one of the three hahaha. But I do understand why, since if he seeks love, "making love" is what he would understand to be the ultimate way in loving another person, especially when the people he knows seek that form of love to show their love. Even though Charles is difficult with his superficial understanding of love, alike the heroine, I don't think I could leave him alone, especially when you can see him crying out verbally and through his pain his desire to be truly loved and to not be abandoned. I really liked the CG of the heroine and Charles holding each other, I think Charles really needed it. He's always been so alone, so cold, having to bear the deaths of all those people he executed even though he had no choice but to do so. He had to carry the burden of all those deaths even though he wasn't the one who ordered them. The life of an executioner is one nobody should have to bear. Even though he wasn't the one who condemned King Louis XVI to death, the fact that he was grateful to the former king but was forced to be the one to execute him will always haunt him. It didn't help that no one mourned his death and instead rejoiced in it. I can see why Charles lost his sense of balance with the death, because if someone who sought for peace had to die for the public to see his death as a good thing, then where is the justice in that? Personally, I think out of three new LIs, Charles' story was the weakest and I'm not sure how well it connected to his desire to be loved.
I think it was pretty sad for it to suddenly click to Charles that all these "house calls" he's been doing wasn't love at all. It hurts to see Charles finally understand his love for the heroine and because of that love learn to let her go through a misunderstanding that she wants to go back to the mansion, which I guess isn't a complete misunderstanding but he shouldn't be the one to make the choice for her. It's difficult for her to choose between staying with Charles or going back to the mansion, but if she doesn't choose for herself, she'll never be satisfied, so I'm frustrated that Charles lied to her and pushed her away because he thinks he's tying her down, but I do understand his view since he thinks that he's been so selfish all this time forcing her to be here. It's sad to think that Charles might be brainwashed, that would be terrible. Napoleon is so sweet to understand and consider the heroine's feelings and to ask her what she wants to do and is immediately on board to protect her so she can save Charles. But I think the sweetest thing was when Napoleon said Charles wasn't reborn to just return to a life of killing. Charles has suffered so much as an executioner and would never willingly want to return to killing. It was tough to watch Charles fight against the mind control and fight against his conviction to not kill anymore. The CG of him killing himself to stop himself from going on a rampage killing Napoleon and them was devastatingly cruel. Charles has never lived a life that was happy, but he was able to experience happiness and love for the first time with the heroine, and it's terrible that she had to watch helplessly as he did that to himself. When the heroine suddenly woke up back at the mansion, I thought it was a dream but brushed it off since it was so long lmao, but I'm glad it really was a "dream" in that Vlad was showing her a possible future that is quite likely. The heroine thinking about how Charles was okay with being picked last in a game with kids because he's used to being picked and hated made me sad, especially because I know the feeling of always being picked last, of being the one no one wants and of being the one people only go to because there's no one else, except Charles sometimes didn't even get to be picked. I guess the heroine is right that if Charles always chooses to love in the way that he did by letting them go for the sake of their happiness then he will always be alone and so will she. I think that was a sweet way to show him that even though it's a kind way to love, it's not something she wants and shouldn't be something they desire in the future. I feel sad that Vlad "lost" the love of his life, the heroine to Charles but I'm happy that he was able to consider Charles important enough that he was okay with it even if it hurt him.
Overall, I personally thought Charles' route was the weakest of the three with Vlad being my favourite and Faust being second. I quite enjoyed Charles search for what love was because I kinda liked how cute and sweet he was to go around town with the heroine and let her forget about her worries. Even though he didn't know what love was, I think he was able to convey how much he loved the heroine through his actions and feelings that he didn't understand until later on. I think my biggest issue with the route was that I think his past could have been better explored and the guilt of being an executioner better linked to his desire for love because I always felt that I didn't really understand or feel his reasons for wanting to be loved to link well with the burden of killing others. But I do think Charles' expressions of pain and confusion were very apt and I enjoyed watching over the heroine accept him and try to guide him by expressing her feelings for him through her actions and words and I thought that was sweet.

hope you don't mind me ranting rq--
i constantly think about your yan!Hae-In and yan!Jinwoo ideas because they're so fun to mess around with.
bc what if the readers honest to god reaction to either of then confessing to then was "i don't feel the dame way.. you wanna see this cool bug i found?"
that OR the reader is a little freak of a poet and writes romance novels with concerningly detailed cannibalism scenes and is more interested in the shadow ants than either of them.
also i'm planning on writing a fic about the cannibal poet reader, but it's going to take a while because i'm shit at writing-
LMFAOO IDC IF U FLOOD MY INBOX ITS FINEEE more people to talk to anyway because im a bit of a pussy to talk straight up to my mutuals sigh
also thanks i actually have alot in my drafts its just most of them are unfinished and i have no idea if i should let them see the light of day or not... same with w.jc , chi, and sjw sick day fic LMFAOO uhhmm anyway!!
that's actually something i lovvee experienting with lowkey especially as someone who takes a big looong time to realize 'oh they liked me" and it's been fucking months since they confessed but anyqay I actually act like that most of the time it's pretty bad anywaaay this is funny as hell with yandere jinhae who's TRYING their best to make you swoon even if they're not the best with romance but you still don't... budge... bur hey you'll show them some cool colored bug you picked off the side walk! that's hopefully not a mutated monster that escaped a dungeon.
anyway more on the first idea this probably either ends really well or horribly depending on how both jinwoo and haein receives this ooooooorrr the circumstances really on how much they both value you but since im a freak for borderline this is insanity why are you writing this type of literature let's say that if you rejected then you have one swordswoman who accidentally fucks you up psychologically (I don't see haein someone who would do it willingly or deliberately gets enjoyment from it) but with jinwoo its a bit complicated to say because each person has a different take on how jinwoo perceives romance and how he processes feelings but since its my post im going with it's probably borderline fucked up if we consider the fact the more he levels up or grows the more apathetic or inhumane he becomes! im gonna abuse the hell out of this concept
but anywya with jinwoo u're probably gonna either get straight up kidnapped OR because you're lowkey desensitized and carefree that maybe kidnapping doesn't really have any affect on you then he might just sends weird eldritch horrors depictions of death and darkness when you're about to sleep so now you need a cute bug themes night light to sleep because no way you're letting some death incarnate screw up your sleeping schedule.
also those two as an attempt to maybe sway you might get into bugs or whatever little interests like jinwoo is having small consultations with beru or has him on standby everytime he spends time with you or haein overcoming her trauma (this takes place after jeju island) and learns and starts to love bugs just for you to reciprocate her feelings then these two quiz eachother on who knows more and what not it's literally amusing to see them debates over fuckinf caterpillars when you returned with take out because they insisted hanging out with you
anyway now on the latter I LOVE LOVE grotesque depictions of love especially like with murder OR cannibalism like how probably eating eachother is like a way of showing affection and how now your love will always be inside of them (literally) or something along the lines!! it's actually so cool how it's portrayed in media i need some suggestions actually anyway in the context of jinhae and mc being a poet uhmmm I'm not sure because i suck at making poems so im not the best on how to... make this work... i hate writing poems but I'll stick witj the theme of being a romance horror writer but not what you think of like colleen hoover or whomever the fuck wrote haunting adeline (god please i hope those books gets SMITED off the face of earth because this has stained dark romance to the point i dont even wanna acknowledge dark romance as a genre).
if you're a popular horror writer who specializes on creeping out your readers but still somehow delivers a good message or screwedd up message in between the lines of ripped boddies and intestines then jinhae has probably heard of you before like definitely.
like the themes of your books or poems to other people seems to be very disgusting or only written for the shock value but maybe to jinwoo or haein they have a whooole different meaning or one of your books/poems struck them really deep they got into a bit of a rabbit hole going through your collection as an author. i can definitely see both of them becoming fans and attending meet and greets.
oh my god a thought came to me and it's basically how would these two act in the internet if your name was beinf slandered like because your books or poems is not well perceived by all because you would occasionally write screwed up romance that you do not condone at all!! it's all for the sake of symbolism and experimentation with the material but anyway these two would have different reactions to this
for example haein seems to be the type to not be sooo like... like how do i explain this shes the type to have an anonymous account and goes to those forums to have actual discussions and tries to be civil as she can be when she tries to convert these haters why they should like you because i can't see her going as far to try to find this individual's address BUT but im just saying if ever that same hater was in the same dungeon raid as haein, there's no guarantee that haein will probably let them... die and say it was an accident.
anyway jinwoo is less interactive on the internet and is more of a lurker but he's probably the definitely the type to send ominous messages and then appear on their doorstep next morning or even minute if they're that unlucky LMFAO. another case of missing people otw!!
oh and i lowkey love the whooole idea of if you have a writer darling no matter how screwed or how fluffy their stories are the person or people who loves them will try to recreate this. yeaaah i can see this happening with jinwoo and haein and the tiny competition they have is who performed it better.
like for example if you written a poem about the elegant slashes of a sword on how it glides so easily through certain monsters, haein would try to replicate the feeling and explains to jinwoo that she obviously is better at portraying at this because she is a certified swordswoman or something along the lines and honestly jinwoo can't exactly argue against that because she's right but he won't admit it
then with paragraphs that depicts the most grueling experience of death and what not is something jinwoo is really familiar with and he's the type to copy it by doing it on random monsters he encounters in dungeons or even certain monarchs if they're that unlucky or jinwoo feels a biiit experimental LMFAO yeah okay what my brain is fried.
oh talking about darling being a horror romance writer, the moment jinwoo introduces his shadows or you find out about you become absolutely infatuated with them and the whoole idea like especially they're permanently serving death that's a pretty neat idea to you.
you start to write more and talk less to jinwoo and mooore to the shadows, it's pretty funny to see but you didn't notice the fact jinwoo is fuming in the background as he watches you get into in depth discussions with igris and bellion about their past lives and how you'll implement their experiences in a poem
yeha kay thats it my brain wugh dead bye uhm yeah talk to me more i love this sm thanks for food for thought

The base line up for the brother hood of avengers is Erik himself, Pietro, Wanda, Bruce, Hank Pym, Janet, Tony, Thor, Logan, and spiderman. Loki stands no chance. And the brotherhood of avengers would eventually expand to include most superheros
Bucky Barnes would still be the winter soldier but he would consider Erik his little brother and Pietro and Wanda his niece and nephew
Polaris becomes magneto in this world with her forming "E.X.O.D.U.S" a group comprised of villans from oppressed backgrounds

As someone who kinda enjoys the angsty aftermath of the shooting, the shooting scene itself doesn't work for me, it doesn't make alot of sense from rio and from the show.
Because what is rios motivation here? it's sure as shit isn't to help beth. Is it to punish her for kicking him out of bed? Is it to teach her a lesson, that she can't just quit a life of crime? Is it to fully make her a criminal?
Whatever his reasoning is, rios reaction, kidnapping beth from the front of her house with a bag on her head, yelling at her "shut your mouth bitch" in that way is too cruel and violent of a reaction from him in a way he's never felt/been this cruel and violent towards beth specifically! It's too cruel and violent considering it's coming from the same man who got beth her daughters blanket back, the same man who smiled fondly at her mismatched socks, the same man who kissed her in that way..
Rios portrayal in that scene and the way he yelled "shut your mouth bitch" while walking towards beth is so violent, abusive, misogynistic man who beats up defenseless women and that is SOO not who rio is.. and to me he truly didn't feel like that in any other scene for the entirety of the whole show, not when he put his gun to beths neck when he thought they were ripping him off, not when he got out of jail and beat up dean, not when he showed up in her bedroom after getting out of jail the second time, not ever, except for that fucking scene!!
to me it just feels like the writers were trying to tell a curtain storyline that starts with beth not being able to shoot rio and ends with her shooting him WHILE they simultaneously had to building up beth and rios relationship (to give the fans what they wanted) but at the end of the season they failed to make these two things work together..
And the fact that the show had to portray him like that for just that one scene, just to get beth to shoot him, just to set up season 3 is not good enough of a reason to do this to rios character.. It just doesn't make scene and i don't like it and i hate they did this to rios character for just ONE FUCKING SCENE!!
(I don't know if I'm making much sense because rio has been intimidating and life threatening in literally every season but it never felt this real (i guess?) Or this out of character..)
(I know that alot of people don't like that beth shot rio but that's literally the only thing that makes sense to me... Also beth shouldn't just feel guilty for shooting rio, she should also feel angry at him and the fact we never got a full conversation about that night and that they didn't give rio scars pisses me off!! Like fucking commit to it).
#I'm ranting i know#i just rewatched brio scenes from 2x13 and i had to just let these feelings out#this is literally my first time rewatching the shooting scene and i just never really processed these feelings#while bing watching the show for the first time like 2 months ago#i remember a scene where rio threatened her children i think i don't exactly remember it but it still wasn't as horrifying as 2x13#nbc good girls#good girls rio#brio#beth x rio#👑#wrote this like a month and a half ago.. i just never posted because i got to caught up with ofmd..

after I read it all through I made sure facts were in order, and I found I was Wrong about two things. Rapunzel directly asked Fredric about Varian, and that nigel actually called it an attack(I'm probobly wrong about more but thats what I found for now).
as for my own opinions.
OP gives a well thought out and nuanced opinion, I just see more plot holes
I find judging people as good or evil to be reductive and counterproductive, unless your trying to create devision and violence.
#5 has alot of speculation. for example, we don't know if Varian knows those are the gaurds.
I found no fault in what Rapunzel did during the storm. as you said she doensn't have the experiance, and nigel isn't helping.
the idea of Rapunzel going to check on Varian was never brought up, so I call it a plot hole. it may have been adressed later( somthing said in quest for Varian suggests Rapunzel asumed someone looked for him?), but retroactivly filling a plot hole I found makes me feel stupid, so it's bad.
Rapunzel didn't put a time limit on her promise, so it was never actually broken. though I can't seem to find the point where she made one, the closest I can find is one of her saying that she, Varian, Pascal and Cassandra are going to figure out the black rocks, and another where she promisis that everything will be okay (where she also asks to be given until her farther returns), which isn't really a promise. it's more of a reasurance. so that's another plot hole.
In the moment Varian declares he will take revenge, revenge isn't justified (exept maby against the gaurds that through him into the deadly storm, effectivly sentencing him to death(though we don't actually see that happen. another plot hole)). a revnge we never acually get the stakes of, because he only ever says he will make people pay, and never says how they will pay. this leaves the posabilaty of anything between, releasing a single fly into everyones houses one night to annoy them (a great pain, but shared between many people), and mass murder. all of this I see as writing flaws
while I think it's supposed to be a freudian slip, Varians reference to the fact he's trying to get the flower only to save his dad, can be seen as probing Rapunzel for her reaction to that idea without telling her the truth. a sensable decision for him to make if he isn't sure he can trust her, which it's proven he can't. wishfull thinking that this story isn't saying it's wrong for Varian to take the flower because it's illegal.
lastly, I don't get why Varian gets called dangerous. the things he makes are dangerous, but is he? before he's kidnapping people.
p.s please don't leave gems in the tags
I think one of my favorite scenes is when Rapunzel tries to talk varian out of stealing the flower, and varian has that one second of hesitation, because interpreting this as him holding a grudge would be wrong, and you see varian genuinely hesitate and consider it before he hears the door rattling and chooses to flee, because from his perspective Rapunzel had been stalling for time while calling the guards on him, she had almost made him trust her again before revealing that she was never on his side, except she WAS the timing was just BAD.
What are your opinions on the whole Rapunzel-Varian drama in S1 post Queen For A Day, especially with the whole "Rapunzel should've checked on Varian after the snowstorm" or whose fault it was for their conflict?
tbh… if i had to pick one single representative example of the tts fandom’s general inability to handle nuance in fictional conflict, it’d be the QFAD discourse™
because! while this isn’t to rag on anyone, if you pick a random person with an opinion on this question, chances are they will fall into one of two camps. either: 1) corona’s treatment of varian was horrifically unjust and everyone involved except him is a terrible person, or 2) rapunzel did what she had to do and varian’s anger is irrational, unfounded, and fundamentally unfair.
people in camp #1 tend to believe that rapunzel was simply being selfish and acting like a sulky child when she failed to check up on varian after the storm. people in camp #2 tend to point out that rapunzel was traumatized by the events of QFAD too, and believe that this justifies her failure to check up on varian.
but the thing is imo the conflict in QFAD + the rest of s1 is just as complex and messy as the argument cassandra and rapunzel have in RATGT, in that there is no One True Right Answer and no person who is one hundred percent “at fault.” the question of blame is… honestly sort of beside the point if you ask me. to break this down:
#1: rapunzel is a sheltered teenager with minimal social skills dealing with a national emergency halfway through her first unsupervised couple days on the job.
the girl has had like eight months tops of training for the monumental task of ruling a country. she grew up in a situation where the only choice available to her was how she would wile away her free time inside her tower; gothel exerted total control over every other facet of her life. and while she has a little more wiggle room now that she’s out of the tower, she is still basically living her life with all the big, consequential choices made for her.
QFAD was intended to be her first taste of true authority, while still being ultimately inconsequential. if all had gone according to plan, corona would have ticked along more or less on autopilot—just as frederic left it—while rapunzel got in a little practice making judgment calls about minor, unimportant things, like mediating small interpersonal disputes between her subjects.
nobody expected, and rapunzel was absolutely not prepared for, a legitimate national crisis to explode in her face out of nowhere. this was supposed to be pedaling by herself for the first time with training wheels and what she got instead is careening down the freeway on a motorbike at 95mph with zero warning. it is a miracle that she held things together as well as she did.
#2: varian is a child with an emotionally distant, unsupportive father who sets him up for failure.
he’s smart but he’s also fourteen. he has little if any formal training in alchemy, he’s figuring stuff out by trial and error, and he has zero adult supervision. his efforts have caused significant levels of destruction twice in only a few months—the exploding boilers in WTH, and his invention going haywire (with a little help from st. croix) in GE—and it’s implied that this is a fairly regular occurrence with him.
and yet quirin does nothing. he shouts at varian, shuts him down, and at several points orders him point blank to stop messing with alchemy… but he makes no effort to connect with his son or understand where he’s coming from; he doesn’t try to impose reasonable restrictions (like “don’t mess with volatile chemicals unless i’m there to help”) that would allow varian to pursue his passion while minimizing the danger; and he doesn’t create an environment where varian feels able to turn to his father for help. and then with the black rocks, he lets varian come along to see the king, but refuses to explain why he “lied” (/spoke in code) to the king, destroying any credibility he had in varian’s eyes and making varian panicky and desperate because it seemed like no one else cared.
so the end result is that varian feels like he has no choice but to sneak around behind quirin’s back. he can’t rely on his dad for help if anything goes wrong, but the situation is so dire that doing nothing also isn’t an option. he tries his best to be careful (before quirin barges in on him, varian is attempting to put just one drop of the amber serum on the rock) but even if quirin hadn’t startled him, a terrible accident was bound to happen sooner or later, and the responsibility for that lays just as much if not more on quirin’s shoulders—the adult in this situation—as on varian’s. the kid is FOURTEEN.
(i think a neat argument could be made for varian as a deconstruction of the teen/YA fantasy trope of the hyper-competent teenager with absentee parents whose absence allows the teen to get on with the important work of the high-stakes fantasy plot; but that’s a whole different post)
#3: rapunzel did the right thing, but lost control over the situation due to lack of experience.
it would have been wrong to abandon everybody in corona to run off into the blizzard with varian, and frankly it wouldn’t have helped quirin anyway. he was already encased in amber by the time varian got back to old corona, and rapunzel couldn’t have done anything in the moment had she been with varian then. the only benefit to her presence would have been to comfort varian—which is not a small thing, obviously, but it’s not in any way a reasonable exchange for the hundreds or thousands of lives that would have been lost if she left corona completely without a leader in the middle of a crisis. so broadly speaking, staying in corona was the right call.
however.
rapunzel was not in control during that scene in the palace. varian bursts in, panicking, explains his situation and begs for her help—and rapunzel just says, basically, “i can’t help you, there’s an emergency.” then nigel comes in and reinforces that, which makes varian freak out; he grabs rapunzel and shakes her, nigel signals for the guards in response, and varian gets dragged out of the palace while rapunzel pleads with the guards not to hurt him.
(sidebar: the hate nigel gets for describing varian as “attacking” rapunzel is unfounded. varian grabs her and shakes her roughly back and forth and that is, in fact, assault. nigel is not wrong to describe it as such.)
anyway, notice two the things that DON’T happen here:
1) rapunzel doesn’t offer up any alternative solutions. a more experienced or better prepared leader could have responded to varian’s plea with a plan of action, like: i need to stay in corona to oversee the evacuation, so we can’t leave right this minute, but cassandra will take you to ask xavier for advice right now and the minute it’s safe to leave we’ll go together to help your father. or whatever—the point is to engage proactively with varian’s problem, make him feel heard, and give him something productive to do so he isn’t just sitting around fretting in the palace or struggling back home by himself in the middle of a blizzard.
2) raps doesn’t challenge nigel’s decision when he summons the guards to throw varian out of the palace, which is something she absolutely could have done. she could have said no, i can’t go to old corona right this minute to help him, but we are not throwing him out into the storm again, he stays here with me. this is, again, a sign of her inexperience; she’s not used to being an authority, she’s never been in a situation like this before, and she’s under a ton of pressure—so when an older adult whom she sees as an authority (he’s her father’s advisor!) makes a judgment call, it probably doesn’t even occur to her that she can challenge it.
this is why i say that rapunzel lost control over the situation—because even though she made the Right Decision, she got a kind of awful outcome, ie varian being tossed out into the blizzard to struggle home by himself to deal with his problem without any support, and rapunzel inadvertently breaking her promise from earlier.
#4: rapunzel doesn’t immediately go to check on varian after the storm because she’s traumatized, busy, and trusts her father.
painter’s block is all about how the trauma rapunzel feels as a direct result of her decisions during the storm destroys her ability to choose anything. she feels so debilitated by the fear that she will make the wrong choice—because she worries that she chose wrong when she allowed varian to be sent away—that she can’t do anything at all, let alone find the emotional strength to go to old corona and confront her mistakes. and while she tries to process and move past this trauma, mrs sugarby exploits it in an attempt to force her to free zhan tiri.
the next episode, not in the mood, involves rapunzel being put under enormous pressure to entertain an irascible ally of corona’s while he and her father negotiate a trade deal with the threat of a war breaking out if they fail. NITM is a silly episode, but it has the highest non-magical stakes of any episode in the entire series. this isn’t an event rapunzel could have reasonably skipped out on for the sake of one person, no matter how much she cares. she’s slammed. she’s still being forced to prioritize just like she was in QFAD.
and in the third episode after QFAD, rapunzel is tormented by nightmares about varian and what happened to his father, so she presses frederic for information about the rocks and varian’s safety. and frederic assures her that everything is fine. he lies to her face about the rocks having been removed, and rapunzel has no reason to doubt him, so she relaxes… until varian contacts her directly, and she immediately jumps to help him.
#5: at the same time, varian has been forced into hiding because frederic is attempting to cover up the rock problem.
what happens to varian after QFAD is plainly unfair and unjust. his father is trapped in amber, the rocks have completely destroyed old corona, most of the villagers have presumably moved to the new land frederic set aside for them, and frederic’s secret police are crawling all over the village trying to suppress information about the rocks (and fred’s role in creating them). the blame for this lies squarely at frederic’s feet, and varian is right to be angry.
i believe that varian interprets rapunzel’s absence as a sign that she’s complicit in what frederic is doing, making his anger at her justified as well. he doesn’t have access to the information we do about why rapunzel doesn’t seek varian out immediately—he doesn’t see how distraught and shattered she is after the storm, or the high-stakes political nonsense she has to deal with, and he certainly doesn’t see her trying to pursue the matter of the rocks and varian’s safety with her father and being flatly lied to to convince her to stay put in corona. all he knows is that rapunzel kicked him out and now she’s ignoring him and her father’s agents keep chasing him away from his home, and he draws the conclusion that makes the most sense to him, ie rapunzel must be okay with all of this because otherwise she would be here.
and once he has that idea in his head, the fact that rapunzel immediately jumps to help him when he contacts her isn’t enough to dislodge it. he’s a scared, lonely fourteen year old boy looking at this situation through a purely interpersonal lens while rapunzel is an overwhelmed eighteen year old doing the best she can while juggling about a million things at once and putting varian low on her priority list because she’s been told by a trusted source that varian is fine.
they both make mistakes, they’re both missing important contextual information, and neither of them handles this situation in the best possible way. but neither of them is “at fault” in the sense of being purely in the wrong, and—imo—frederic and quirin hold the lion’s share of the blame here, because they had all the information, and they refused and refused and refused to deal with the black rock problem until it overwhelmed them both. varian and rapunzel are both just kids scrambling to deal with something that should not be their problem to solve, and both of them fuck up! (and even then—the best fred and quirin could’ve done was just be honest and upfront about what the problem was. neither of them had the means to fix anything, and neither of them was responsible for the very unfortunate timing of the blizzard. so it’s not as clear cut as everything bad in s1 happens because fred and quirin stuck their heads in the sand. a lot of it honestly was just sheer bad luck.)
a n y w a y, i think by s3 and after a lot of introspection, varian has figured a lot of this out, and that’s why he’s so quick to let go of his lingering grudge against rapunzel. he’s realized that at the end of the day, rapunzel was just as unprepared and lost in that situation as he was, that she’s not responsible for (and wasn’t complicit in) her father’s decisions, etc, etc.

//Welcome to my TED talk. Today's topic: why Law would be a terrifying villain. If the main character wasn't Luffy or basically any other pirate about his and Law's strength level (yes I know Luffy would so thoroughly own Law in a fight it isn't funny humor me). And personals: you can look DO.NOT.TOUCH.
Firstly Law is Not Good.
Shocking I know. Please don't hit me this part is a joke.
One thing Law thoroughly establishes from the get go is he is not a good person. He is brutal, violent when provoked and doesn't do good for anyone beyond his crew or the people Law chooses to consider under his care or protection without a reason.
He will kill for those he actually cares about but the hands that kill are not hands that are made to heal emotional wounds he can sew someone back together but he will not fix their pain or even pretend like he cares. He is an asshole, and shameless about it. There is no sugarcoating, no comforting words, he is direct and doesn't care if he scares someone.
If anything he prefers fear because fear is a deterrent. He would rather people to scared to test him or push their luck. People don't antagonize the man they are afraid of.
He is brutal and violent and has the knowledge, ability and means to use it properly.
He is known as the surgeon of death for a reason. He earned that title. He got his position as a Warlord by taking the hearts of at least a hundred pirates. He never felt an ounce of guilt about it either.
He has undoubtedly watched ALOT of people die at his hand. Begging, pleading and bargaining don't sway him. If he decides he wants someone dead nothing they or anyone else can say to him will change him mind.
He also has a habit that in any other context would be considered disturbing: he dissects people, attaches them to things, dismembers them and just leaves them when he is done. If he wanted to make someone his plaything and they weren't physically strong enough to stop him there is very few limits of just what he could do. And considering HE CUT A GODDAMN MOUNTAIN HALF the people that could stand up to him are probably in the 5% (maybe 10%?) of the One Piece universe population and the narrative has his around people at his level.
If someone did that in anything other than anime/animation he would more likely than not be seen as a Dr. Moreau-esque the sociopathic lunatic that breaks, torments and tortures others because he can.
He doesn't necessarily enjoy the suffering of normal people that have not provoked him in anyway but that doesn't change that he didn't really intend to help the kids Caesar kidnapped because it would have been an inconvenience. He didn't wish them harm but that doesn't change the fact he didn't really want to help them. He is pragmatic even when he is being cruel.
Add on that he literally has such a thorough understanding of anatomy and medicine that he can perform life saving surgery while his crew is escaping a war zone without even feeling the slightest bit of fear or concern after he CHOSE to get involved.
Calm, Cold, Calculated, Patient.
Law is nothing if a patient, calculated bastard. His emotions or whims don't guide him into making impulse decisions often, outside of saving Luffy. But even then that wasn't a case of the goodness of his heart.
And the second he saw Luffy again in the New World was after he switched all of Luffy's crew members hearts around because they fucked up his alibi and his attempt to plead ignorance (and probably just because he could)? He tries to form an alliance and only agrees to switch everyone back to their bodies because probably he knows they won't shut up about it until he does.
There is no remorse in what he did. He did not apologize because that would have been a lie he wasn't willing to give.
In his joke of a "fight" with Tashigi (poor girl) he refused to kill her because in his mind she didn't deserve to die at his hand. He refused to be her executer because she didn't earn that right to die at his hand. Law is not an indiscriminate killer, he was acting as someone that knew Tashigi was no threat to him and even after that he was still not above making it very clearly he could have killed both Smoker and Tashigi to tie up any possible loose ends but instead lets them go while still making it clear whether they live or die in that moment was ON HIS TERMS. He made the rules they had to play his game or else. It wasn't out of compassion, he made a choice but not for morally good reasons.
His whole plan to get back at Doflamingo was a slow building scheme over the course of years. While things may have changed and the idea changed over time Law's end goal was to spite Doflamingo and he was willing to take his time and destroy Doflamingo at every level he could.
Hell the entire time he was "working" around/with Caesar he was actively planning for Caesar to try and kill him. He switched sea stone chains with normal ones, then waited for when it was to late for Caesar to realize to act to stop a plan Law was putting into motion with (including?) Luffy.
Death means Nothing.
He isn't scared to die. He not only gave Caesar his own heart as 'insurance' but when Vergo had it continued to insult and mock them knowing full damn well that they were the ones with his heart in their hands because he felt like being spiteful.
He is willing to go up against Doflamingo in the most obvious and blatant way possible by going after his assets in the most public way imaginable. He was the cause of the death of Vergo and the destruction of SAD.
THEN WENT AFTER KAIDO AND BIG MOM.
Very Troubled Childhood.
To say Law has a troubled childhood is an understatement. It is literally easy to pick a random part of Law's childhood to find more than enough evidence of why is he is a cold blooded pyschopath.
Entire town murdered or died from a horrific disease he suffered with for year? Check. Taken in by a literal monster in human skin? Do I really need to answer that? Not only lose his entire family but have a new found father figure in Corazon just for him to be murdered by that same monster that took him in?
For all intents and purposes Law should be terrible. He SHOULD be awful because a large portion of his child was blood, loss and killing. Considering many serial killers have less "justification" to do the horrible things that did.
#❤︎ ・・꒰ you see that gnome right there? no you didn't ꒱ ⌗ ooc・・ ❤︎#❤︎ ・・꒰ tell the doctor everything and the marines nothing ꒱ ⌗ law's headcanons・・ ❤︎

2024 Game Clear #18 Ranma ½: Treasure of the Red Cat Gang

I've been really getting into Ranma½ lately, and after learning that there was a RPG with an English fan translation I knew I had to play through it as it is my god given duty to play through every turn based RPG licensed after a property I like and .... it's just okay
The fan translation has two versions one for fans of the anime and one for the manga, I chose the anime version because at this time that is the version of Ranma I'm more familiar with, I'm don't know what all the changes are in the manga patch as their doesn't seem to be a place online that documents all the differences. The translation seems pretty good especially for a early 2000s fan translation, there's perhaps one grip I have with it and it that they chose to name an equippable armor for the girls as just "bitch" which I feel is unnecessary and unprofessional (and frankly a bit confusing like what exactly am I equipping here?) I do lack the knowledge to properly criticizes the translation here but the guide I was using did choose to translate it to "Angry Dress" instead so I felt it was worth bringing up.
Now for the actual game itself. The Jusenkyo guide accidently broke a seal releasing The Ghost King Cat Nekomaou upon the world who seeks strong men to rebuild his Red Cat Gang and wishes acquire the three sacred treasures that can grant any wish when brought together. The Red Cat Gang kidnaps Ranma father Genma, Mousse and the students of Furinkan High to use as muscle. Ranma, Akane & Shampoo (Ryoga too but of course he immediately gets lost and separated from the party) sets off to save everyone and to acquire the three treasures in hopes of using the wish to cure Ranma of his curse.
I think it's a pretty strong set up for a Ranma RPG honestly, but in practice alot of the writting feels like a reheated version of what you know, if you watched even a couple of episodes of Ranma, you've seen all the jokes before just now it's in a pretty static form which doesn't really lend much strength to all the running gags, even the ghost cat stuff isn't really that special since Maomolin exists but weirdly unless I missed something they never actually point that out.
The party also doesn't banter among themselves as much as you'd hope, only really speaking up when it's time to do their running gag. Akane suffers the most from this I think, as perhaps 95% of her dialogue is getting angry at Ranma which very little moments (if any) that explore her more tender side. It's a Akane completely removed of nuance and I think that's lame

That said there was gags that I did think translated well into the RPG format, Having a party member like Ryoga who will just... keep walking unaware that he's leaving the party is pretty funny joke for a RPG, Genma continues to be the world worst dad, and Cat Fu gets to be a mechanic in a boss fight (though Ranma fear of cats isn't really brought up as much as you might think it would be considering the plot)
On the the actual gameplay side...I like a fair bit about it! It's pretty simple but I appreciate that it doesn't waste your time, a lot of other licensed rpgs that i've played try to hide the fact that they likely made the game in 8 months by forcing a brutal grind or by splitting up the party to hid a lack of meaningful progression.(looking at you Sailor Moon Another Story) I only really had to grind once at the end and it was a pretty light grind, the party does split up a bunch but it never feels like a tactic to artificially increase difficulty and therefore extend the game length then more the product of the Ranma cast being chaotic, it's a miracle that a party of these characters can hold together for 5 minutes.
That said I do wonder if they purposely made your movement speed in the overworld slow to compensate, it not that bad and you get used to it but it's pretty noticeably slow when you first start playing but even with that it's a very short rpg, I got through half the game in like 4 hours unquestionable the shortest tradition rpg i've ever beaten but I actually think it's to the game strength that it doesn't overstay it's welcome.
I general I don't look the look of this game but I do like how battles look, the special moves are flashy and I love that characters fly out of the arena when K.O, battle are pretty easy though you can pretty much get through everything by just spamming attacks, start doing basic rpg stratagems like using stat boosting abilities and your pretty much invincible, being too easy might seem like a detriment but i vastly prefer that to the likely alternate of a grindfest so it's fine
Last note on the gameplay is the UI isn't the best, visually it looks fine but it lacks a lot of information that would be useful to know, items & abilities don't have descriptions which can makes it hard to parse what something actually does even after using it if the effect isn't visually obvious which is why I kept a guide open to reference. you can also only see your ki amount in battles which isn't a big deal but a little annoying when you want to check if your ready before a boss fight

Ultimately though I think a RPG is just kinda a weird choice for a Ranma game, turning the chaotic gender swapping martial arts romance gag manga™ into a slow turn based rpg isn't the most natural match, there's probably way to make it work really well but It probably would take a longer timetable then the dev team probably had. There are Ranma fighting games and visual novels which seem like a better fit but i'm surprised out of all the IP in the 90's that got beat em ups Ranma wasn't one of them, somewhere out there there's a world with a banging Konami or River City style Ranma beat em up and im sad I don't live in that world lol.
With all that said and all my criticism aside... I do still recommend it for Ranma fans, it more time in this world and with these characters and it's a short painless experience so it's not a huge time sink, it's just whenever you merge a property I like with this genre I'm always gonna come in with higher expectations then I probably should have lol

I have some lore for you uwu
Wanting to work more on the concept of "clients" or basically people that hire The Trio/demon fighters in general sooooo here's some stuff i've come up with. ------
*Considering the broader population doesn't believe in demons/monsters, the people who DO seek out demon fighters either absolutely 110% believe in demons/have seen them/dealt with them before ORRRRRRR the client will probs be a skeptic of some sort who's desperate af to have a problem solved and is willing to throw their beliefs out to have the issue fixed. (And it's usually the first one)
*The clients that believe (we're gonna focus on them) tend to believe in the supernaturals in general. And not just demons (see the ep idea where The Trio derps get bamboozled into ghost hunting by a client)
*Demon fighting tends to be an expensive sort of job, you can make alot doing it if you get good enough. You get paid more the better you are at it (The Trio tend to spilt the payments 3 ways but Sharky usually gets the most out of the payments since car + hotel bookings and whatnot. Max and Kristy tend to get a even amount/near even amount. And considering this as well as the fact the derpasses spend money ALOTTTT doing this and they're more beginners (albeit good af beginners) they tend not to get thousands usually, that's a rare one…)
*The Trio specifically try to make adjustments if somebody is too poor to afford their services. Kristy and Sharky feel like shit about that and Max is a fullblown leftie so you know his feels on poor people not being able to afford basic things to live (i feel like in the Kidnapped world, demon fighters would be 1000% doing an essential service since…Yknow, you're probably gonna fucking die if the issues not taken care of…)
*With The Trio, sometimes OH sets them up with clients (note the ones far as fuck away, that is 100% OH setting that kinda shit up lol) sometimes The Trio seek out clients if they're really strapped for cash (bullets and gas and all that shit gets very fucking expensive quick) and sometimes a client will be able to tell/know they're demon fighters and will seek them out/ask.
*The bulk of clients tend to be humans or anthros. Mers usually are able to deal with shit on their own unless there's special cases (maybe it's a dream demon or something else that's a bit harder to deal with…)and demons…Why the fuck would a demon call a demon fighter? Seems like a really bad fucking idea, even if it's demons who just wanna live and vibe. Bad idea…
*The Trio try their best not to kill demons since they're seen as a people and it's…Kind of fucking extreme to do that if they just need the shadowdemon to fuck off or whatever. Monsters are different but Kristy usually doesn't ever want to kill so she leaves that up to Sharky and Max whenever it's needed (Max thinks killing demons is fun and Sharky doesn't feel bad usually if it's a kill for self defense. Self defense and predation are the like…Only reasons Sharky ever feels comfortable taking life. In any other case, he's not gonna fuckin wanna…)
*Kristy tends to be the dealmaker, Max runs online shit and Sharky usually is the derp people recognize as a demon fighter first (with his swords and knives and stuff. Demon fighters are legally able to go around with weapons and shit if they got a license/are basic certified to handle those weapons.)
*Technically, all 3 derps have online stuff that you can look at and hire them with but Max is the main one who deals with those/Kristy and Sharky forward that shiz his way lol
*"Demon fighting is a thankless job" Yeahhhhh, kinda. Alotta people are assholes about it alot because of the nature of the job. It's expensive and can be destructive and deadly so alot of more asshole clients tend to be bitchy about it all. They might underpay you, yell at you or give you shit for fucking up stuff. The job also requires a fuckton of time and effort to get into so it's also a hassle…It's either "thankless" cuz clients are assholes and fuck you over/give you shit OR it's "thankless" cuz you spend so much fucking time, energy, risk to life and injuries and…Everything else that the job doesn't really seem appreciated in general no matter what.
*Legally in Shellside, you can demon fight as soon as you hit 13. (Most demon fighters are seafolk so this rule was put in place with that as the base. Humans aren't usually gonna be doing this shit BUT mers with strong magic they've had for a while/anthros with training and ocean survival skills will be. So yeah…) -------------------------- Ye, buncha shiz lol. Again, Clients=people in need of demon fighters. And The Trio are demon fighters so...Well, there ya go lol

Probably the fact that Marinette is plain obviously LYING when she says to Chat that she "unfortunately" can't tell him ANYTHING of what happened
And yet she told Adrien, Kagami, Alya, Suhan, and Nathalie alot of details on what happened. But somehow Chat Noir isn't allowed to know ANYTHING whatsoever?
As well as the scene doubling down on Marinette taking no interest whatsoever in WHY Chat wasn't there, he was just supposed to take accountability for it. Mind you, the reason Marinette was given makes NO SENSE. The other Miraculized went after her because they thought Ladynoir kidnapped Adrien and Kagami. BUT CHAT NOIR HIMSELF WOULD OBVIOUSLY NOT GONNA ACCIDENTALLY THINK HE KIDNAPPED TWO PEOPLE! I can perfectly forgive this not having been brought up in the finale but one would think that Marinette at any point would care about what happened to Chat in the first place
Especially considering that the special subtly brought her neglect up. When a reporter asked "did you loose because you were alone?" That was obviously referring to Chat Noir not having been there. And explaining his absence was clearly the one thing she didn't spend a second on thinking about before giving the official press conference, meaning the public is going to hold that against him now. She just stuttered "there is nothing more I can say" and left. She never thought about it before a reporter reminded her of Chat's existence.
There is no excuse for why Marinette STILL can't remember Chat Noir at any given moment and what consequences he will face for her actions. He didn't even have the choice to speak for himself, she still had his Miraculous.
There is no reason for why Marinette claims she can't tell Chat ANYTHING. Why she takes no interest EVER in what happens to him as long as he takes accountability for what inconvenienced her, not caring of that's even fair on him.
Or the fact that after Chat apologizes, Ladybug apologized in return, but only for how "blameless" she is once again 'for not being able to tell him anything' despite that being a lie, she just doesn't want to.
Its once again Maribug isolating Chat from everything, unfairly and unnecessarily withholding all informations, and only apologizing for how "blameless" she is while he has to take accountability for having been the victim and not having been allowed to asks anything from her
MIND YOU, Adrichat was openly voicing that him not having been there and the now dead Gabriel having taken his place is hitting him hard. What excuse is there supposed to be that Marinette is abandoning Chat Noir behind a wall of lies again that leave him thinking hes to blame for a man being dead? SHE KNOWS THAT HE FEELS GUILTY ABOUT THAT AND DOES NOTHING TO HELP HIM!
That final Ladynoir scene... Chat knows that Ladybug's hiding some big secret in order to help protect someone, and that she can't tell him something, but it doesn't seem like he's thought through what that means. Which makes sense, with how his world was turned upside-down. But man, Chat giving her a hug to comfort her after she says that the this secret is weighing her down and it hurts and she wants to cry... Chat needed that hug too, but something about it still feels icky.

Anyone wanna hear about what I consider my first real book? (Technically wasn't my first but I was the first story I wrote that was more than 10k)
Too bad you're gonna anyway!
👇If you click this readmore lol👇
(Also tw for... alot. War, murder, suicide, mild dismemberment, child abuse i guess probably a few other things tbh)
Ok so. The first draft I finished when I was 14.
Yes it was filled with cringe but, even today, the base was there.
The main characters to know about are:
It: Yes that is the mcs name. It was supposed to be a placeholder name but it ended up fitting and I couldn't be bothered to change it lol. She was a classic self insert who is definitely 100% cishet (in my defense i thought i was too at that time) but honestly looking at it years later she definitely wasn't. Now I see her as a she/her agender who would be fine with any pronouns she just doesn't care. Also aro/ace. Very traumatized serious and hates doing nothing because she feels the need to justify her existence doesn't like to waste her and others time. Doesn't know it but her parents were part of the resistance against the big bad. Mother was killed the day she was born. 16yo
Sebastian: Token cishet honestly lol. Hes a spy posing as a guard until the big surprise battle against the big bad goes wrong and he gets captured along with some others. He didn't expect to get a little sister out of the deep cover but hes determined to help her anyway no matter how many times she tries to murder him. He's also very stressed and depressed but hides it with humor and denial. 19yo
Blake: Sebastians older brother and is convinced he has the brain cell (not entirely wrong) Hes a soldier for the resistance and had to raise Sebastian and himself after they lost their parents to the war when he was 15. No Sebastian you cannot kidnap the big bads presumed child, no I do not want a little sister I barely tolerate you and you aren't trying to kill me. Very serious and stressed (mostly due to his younger brother) but its because he cares and is determined to not lose his last family member. 21yo
Allie: Best character. Love her. Whole story she projects this ditzy and happy persona that doesn't result in getting stabbed (cough cough Sebastian cough) but its mostly an act because she is in fact also a spy. Just not currently active. Theres a few hints I left throughout her appearance in the story so it doesn't just come out of nowhere but she plays a major role not only in the main story itself but also in taking down the big bad. She is a very half glass full type of person but has her own stuggles. Her mom is a soldier fighting in the war and her dad was a nurse who died after a raid about a year before the story takes place. 17yo
And last but not least the big bad himself, Kai: Winner of the not-as-big-of-an-asshole-as-you-could've-been award. His father led the original war to take control of everything (his father is the biggest asshole btw but thankfully he is dead at this point) funny enough Kai actually joined the resistance to try and stop him after running away at 16. Made some friends, fell in love, got captured several years later before watching his friends get brutally murdered infront of him and then got tortured for several years. You know. Father son bonding. (His mother killed herself and attempted to kill Kai when he was 6) So tragic backstory? Yes. Redeemable? Hell no.
Still Kai: Kai ended up killing his father but took over the dictatorship himself. He had one friend who was not captured (it was supposed to be a routine outing but he didn't go. he had no way of knowing what would happen) who went on to get married. This was Its father and he was killed a few years after she was born believing that his wife and child were both dead. Kai ended up being the one to kill him. Now, other than a few flashback scenes we don't actually focus on Kai much other than that he is the badguy since the story is about It and not him. He ended up with It after a soldier brought the newborn back and mentioned who her mother was (Kai recognized the name) He killed the soldier and kept It as a sort of favor to his old friend (who he had actually came to hate because he wasnt there when the rest of them got caught) But yeah. He uses a child as a scapegoat and becomes a worse person as the kid grows up. Has lines but man are those lines few.
The general synopsis is It is essentially training herself to be a human weapon in order to prove worthy of existence useful to a second generation dictator. After a failed attack on the palace by the resistance rebels, she is tasked with helping to torture interrogate the captured enemies.
One of whome turns out to be Sebastian, a guard who worked along side her and because of him she ends up inadvertently being the reason the prisoners escape. Needless to say Kai isn't happy about this and she ends up with more scars and broken bones than before, as well as losing a digit.
Time passes, It heals as much as shes gonna, and things go back to normal for her sans an annoying guard shes glad is gone (lie)
Said annoying guard is back on his side with his brother Blake, and preparing for his next mission.
Purely by chance, no sabotage or espionage or ambushing involved at all, It ends up being taken prisoner.
Enter Allie. A friendly refugee and friend of Sebastian who often comes with him when he guards visits It.
Sebastian is not jealous that Allie managed to essentially befriend It with zero maiming attempts. (Honestly hes just happy It has started to mellow out slightly since being captured. Shes still prickly and suspicious of everything but baby steps)
But It is eventually sent back as part of a prisoner trade.
Queue an torture session interrogation by Kai to ensure she knows her place hasn't switched sides and another long stint in the infirmary before shes back to guard duty.
Anyway another finale attempt at Kai happens and It is forced to choose between the life shes used to or attempting to save the people shes still reluctant to think of as friends.
She almost kills Sebastian but can't bring herself to do it. Blake ends up severely injured and It turns on Kai and distracts him long enough for Sebastian to get his brother to relative safety.
It ends up taking several bad hits and goes down but Allie shows up and takes Kais attention away long enough for Sebastian to come back and the two of them almost manage to overwhelm Kai but fail.
It, in the midst of bleeding out and trying not to lose consciousness manages to sneak up on an also injured Kai and stabs him with her dagger, finishing him off before she passes out herself.
The end. She wakes up in a hospital (still a prisoner) Allie and Sebastian show up. Blake still doesn't like her but is more willing to give her a chance, and they all lived ever after.
I honestly want to redo this story one day and actually get it published. Its just always held a special place in my heart because while I finished the first draft when I was 14 I kept just updating and rewriting it practically till I graduated so it was a big part of my life for a long time.
I had other 10k+ writings sure, but this was the first.
#It was called Dark Days but tbh the title never really fit so im hoping to think of a new one#but ive been calling it that for like 12 years at this point to lol

OUGHHHH HI HI HI HI!!!!!! I literally just woke up less than 5 minutes ago
This could go two different waysssssss (DISCLAIMER: I don’t hate toxic ships, they can be fun!! I’m just pointing out how I think it’d go)
It’s a very very very toxic relationship. They’re both very violent and murderous, maybe in this case not to eachother, but they still have those tendencies. Either way they’d likely be enabling each others worst qualities. I think in any fit of anger they’d likely say some pretty harmful stuff to the other, which they either… kind of apologise for? Or they just brush it off and continue life like nothing happened. It would be ESPECIALLY toxic if it was Fuse x Razor, and I’m pretty sure we both know why already. (But that’d be really fun). I think there would be a power imbalance in favour of Fuse considering the fact he’s literally the person running the entire lab and conducting most if not almost all of the experiments. I’m not sure if I’ve ever said this before but I’m a SUCKER for toxic relationships.
We could set aside all of the horrible things and how much of a shitty person Fuse is so he isn’t like that towards Larry which I personally don’t think is very faithful but I completely understand why someone would want to do that. In this scenario, I don’t think they wouldn’t be toxic? (Again, still enabling each others worst qualities) But I don’t think it’d be as horrible in terms of relationships. Maybe Fuse would still have tendencies to experiment/manipulate Larry but decide against them.
I think maybe in this AU (ANOTHER ONE!!!!) They’d have to work together to kidnap GB considering he’s literally Mew. He’s pretty damn strong even for another god such as Fuse. Larry has a bit of trouble during the battle as well but it’s nothing he can’t handle.
Hmmmmm… now I’m wondering… how would Mutt look then? Would they look the same or would they look like a Zoroark and Mew fusion. (Heavily in favour of the former)
Kidnapping Nightsky would also be an entire ordeal, but not too difficult. I think Larry would almost accidentally kill him before they can ever bring him back to the lab
now for Mikey. He puts up a surprisingly good fight considering his general reputation of being a goddamn idiot. Again, it’s nothing Fuse and Larry can’t handle.
I don’t have the best grasp on the Axis trio, I need to get a gauge on them more.
Vamp Mikey is not well known even in the world he lives in. I think Fuse would be very interested in him though, considering he’s a vampire. How different is vampire DNA from Human DNA? How would it affect fusions? I don’t think they’d even be able to find Vamp at all though. He’s very, very good at hiding.
I don’t think Merryweather would put up much of a fight if not at all. He’s not much of a fighter, all he’s got is a shit ton of bodyguards which are like nothing to Fuse and Larry. So they can just knock him out cold and drag him to the lab. This thought might just drag Vamp out of hiding, cause yeah, Vamp’s got a bit of (ALOT OF) an obsession with Merryweather. He’d either go into the lab guns blazing, putting up a hell of a fight, destroying like half the lab, OR he’d lurk around quietly in the lab, letting Merryweather know he’s there (much to Merryweather’s simultaneously relief and dismay), and try to subtly destroy the lab bit by bit. I don’t think it’s be long before he’s caught though, purely by his own mistakes.
ANOTHER DISCLAIMER!!!: This is not to be taken hints from on who is in the lab or how they got dragged into the lab!! Still a secret :) I will neither confirm nor deny
Either way!! I love this idea >:)
Help I've been shipping two characters from entirely different universes AAA
Hear me out: @mewintheflesh-2 Dr. Fuse x TimeLoop!Larry
I need these two FuckersTM to have a silly love story where they kidnap science experiments and wreak havoc across the Mikeyverse.

The Hermitcraft Charity Event!
By Ỉ̸͍l̶̥͋e̶͚͑a̸̮͠ Zei
Well welcome back to The Overseer™!
Today’s talk will be about the Charity event that was held here on Hermitcraft server not long ago and specifically about the games that were built for it.
The games that were built were:
Basalt Assault by non-other than Tango of The Tek variety
Battle Bane by Etho Slab (Ethos Lab)
Bucket Rush by Ex-I-suma-Vojd (Xisuma Void)
Derailed by ImpulseSV (author definitely didn’t laugh alot about the game name.)
Dunk Tank by CubFan one tree five (spelling mistake is for a reason. It’s funny.) (One of the game by him was also Total Chaos!)
Ice Bucket challenge by non other than queen of heads, hearts and body parts! (False Symmetry!)
The Horse course by The married couple (Etho and Bdubs)
And the finally, the last but not the least: Panda Rescue by GTWScarrrr (GoodTimesWithScar!)
Let’s see what some people think of those, shall we? [Quotes taken directly from subjects]
“I dropped my popcorn as soon as Basalt Assault started, and I wasn’t even sad! The game was worth dropping my popcorn tenfold. In fact, I’m gonna go home, make some popcorn, and drop it on the floor in *honour* of the game.”
“I was working in the Entity the day of the event so I couldn’t watch it. But I kept hearing bang after bang outside the window. It was terrifying, but invigorating. It’s impressive how an event can make you excited even if you’re not watching it.”
“I almost pooed myself when the first bang in basalt assault went off – it was bloody terrifying. But a 10/10 show nonetheless.”
“The whole charity event was an absolute blast and it was amazing seeing Hermits and the community come together as a whole to raise money for Gamers Outreach, which was the charity they chose to support! It was absolutely a blast how much was raised all together‼”
“So I will say battle bane because I am an Etho girl and it was great to see it being played.”
“i don’t know why but i got very much into bucket rush, definitely one of the highlights for me. Its hard to describe the feeling but watching was a mix of being extremely funny, extremely stupid, and extremely nerve racking.”
“i have got to say i have a soft spot for horse course, it was such a funny game to watch since No One seemed to know what they were doing. A few of my coworkers and i heard of the racket that was leading to the games, and i had seen the games before they were played, i remember myself along with some other people were crowding around to get a glimpse of the games being played. because of that and the non-stop energy i have got to say watching and experience some games up close has got to be a special experience for me."
Well it certainly seems like people like these games and the Charity event as a whole! I certainly do and I’m glad everyone came around to help with organising and helping the event to happen.
That would be it for now! Join us again in reading next .

By Kidnapper (Fizzello)
What's a better way to appreciate our many contributors this week, by making a word search using their names! The goal is to find all the names at the bottom of the word search. And if you see any "questionable" words in there; do what anyone would do. Ignore it! You can't see them if you don't acknowledge them.
Good luck, fellow citizens!
Did you find all of them? Congratulations! Did you not find all of them? There's always next time! Did you find some words you probably shouldn't have? No you didn't!
Anyway, onto the answer key!
Wow, that's a bunch of names! And no other words. If you see anything circled that is not one of the names; ignore it! Those are errors that were not able to be filtered out in time for this week's paper. And nothing else!
Nothing else.
Weekly Weather Report
By Nes
Due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to report the weather how we typically do, however you’ll be pleased to know this week we here at The Overseer offer you an indepth look on the weather in a basement!
Thursday - Basement is expected to be damp in the morning, dew is likely to seep through the cracks in the ceiling. Hopes are high it will dry up during the day so we don’t soil our socks… again. High is estimated to be a cool 5C down here thanks to the air conditioner we were so kindly provided.
Friday - It continues to be damp in the basement, luckily today there appears to be minimal leakage from the upper floors. However the air conditioner is either broken or has been unplugged, leaving us at a miserable 20C temperature throughout the day.
Saturday - As the days pass I would like to humbly suggest that whoever kidnapped us get someone down here to look at their basement, as there is a lot of leakage due to the rain today. With a high of 17C, we are in dire need of more buckets.
Sunday - Rain continues into the morning and fills the basement to about waist level for most of us. Good news is the air conditioner is back on and gives us a lovely breeze and a high of 10C.
Monday - False alarm, air conditioner was broken by the flooding. While the rain has stopped, what replaced it isn’t much better. It’s rather dry in the basement if you ignore the flood, and we have a high of 30C.
Tuesday - Flood is mostly gone today thanks to the work of everyone tossing buckets out the small window we have. Sun appears to be out, the conditioner continues to be broken, and it is a high of 34C, hopefully that will help dry off our clothes.
Wednesday - It did not help dry off our clothes. Instead they smell rather musty, no one is amused. Air conditioner continues to be broken, skies continue to be clear, and we have a high of 40C today. 0/10 would not recommend staying in the basement.
Editor's Note: Found these scraps of paper lying in my office along with the other articles. Not sure if I'm supposed to print these too but at this point I'm too afraid to ask. At the back of one piece of paper it says 'Astrology Corner'
And that's all for this week's news folks! Thank you for reading and have a wonderful week!
