🌨️ Невдовзі негода охопить і інші області. За прогнозом синоптиків, 11 квітня на півдні України в Миколаєвській, Херсонській, Одеській, Запорізькій, Кіровоградській областях та в Криму очікується сильний вітер, утворення снігового покриву заввишки до 5-16 см, а на дорогах буде ожеледиця. Сильний вітер з поривами 15-20 м/с буде і на Дніпропетровщині.

⚡️Полтавщина також опинилась у сніговому полоні: в 12 населених пунктах Лохвицької та Миргородської громад введено аварійні відключення світла через снігопади та вітер.

Щороку 23 серпня моя кохана Україна святкує День Державного Прапора, 24 серпня — День Незалежности. Сьогодні нашій сучасній державності виповнюється 33 роки, хоча насправді українська історія сягає тисячоліть. Це — роки здобуття Майбутнього, Волі, Незалежности. Це — роки Віри, Самоусвідомлення, Шляху.

Україна — це Боротьба. Вічна боротьба за долю.

Дякую кожному та кожній, завдяки кому ми можемо святкувати цей День. Дякую всім, хто боронив, боронить і боронитиме нашу Державу.

Слава Україні! Героям слава!

Every year on August 23, my beloved Ukraine celebrates the Day of the National Flag, and Independence Day on August 24. Today, our modern statehood turns 33 years old, although in fact, Ukrainian history goes back thousands of years. These are years of gaining Future, Freedom, Independence. These are years of Faith, Self-awareness, Path.

Ukraine means Fighting. Eternal fighting for destiny.

I thank everyone, thanks to whom we can celebrate this Day. Thank you to everyone who defended, defends, and will defend our State.

Russia, which tankies and Trumpsters bizarrely worship as some sort of unbeatable superpower, has just had another one of its submarines in the Black Sea destroyed. The Rostov-on-Don (Ростов-на-Дону), which was launched the year Putin illegally annexed Crimea, is now sleeping with the fishes.

Ukraine's military said on August 3 that it had sunk a submarine in Russian-controlled Sevastopol, attacked a southern Russian airfield, and targeted oil depots and fuel and lubricant storage facilities in a number of regions. "A Russian submarine went to the bottom of the Black Sea," the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said on X, naming the vessel as the B-237 Rostov-on-Don attack submarine.

Ukraine also took out several S-400 missile launchers nearby which likely had been targeting civilians in Ukraine.

The military's General Staff said the attack on the Crimean port also significantly damaged four launchers of the S-400 anti-aircraft Triumf defense system. There was no immediate comment from Russia on the attack. Earlier, on the night of August 2, dozens of drones were launched against targets in at least three Russian regions, setting two oil storage facilities ablaze, Russian authorities reported.

There can't be much left of Russia's Black Sea fleet. The remaining ships mostly cower at the eastern end of the sea to try to stay out of range of Ukrainian drones and missiles.

May 18 is the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Genocide of the Crimean Tatar People. This day is commemorated in Ukraine annually on the anniversary of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people in 1944. The ethnic cleansing of the peninsula was carried out by the order of Stalin. More than 46% of the deportees died of the inhuman transportation conditions and the poverty of the first years. Already in July 1944, 51,000 people, mostly russians, were moved into deportees’ empty houses.

За минулу добу в деяких районах українського півдня випало понад 70% від місячної норми опадів, тоді як снігопади тривають вже 4 доби підряд. Через потужний шторм, понад 18 тысяч приватних помешкань залишились без світла.

Кримчани виявились непідготовленими до снігу й ожеледиці, тож навіть не мають зимових покришок для авто, тому буксують і стоять у заторах.

Занадто рано почали цвісти і кримські квіти.

If you want to know why Russia has stepped up its aggression in recent weeks in eastern Ukraine, look to the increasing pressure which Ukraine has put on Russian occupiers in occupied Crimea.

Russia has been taking it on the chin in Crimea, so it is using the classic tactic of trying to relieve pressure there by attacking elsewhere.

Ukraine is making it increasingly difficult for Russia to hang on to illegally annexed Crimea thanks to an ongoing campaign that's targeting air defenses, rail links and water connections. The latest blows were struck on Friday, when a joint Ukrainian navy and army operation hit a ferry crossing and oil terminal at the port of Kavkaz, located on the Russian side of the Kerch Strait that divides Crimea from Russia, Ukraine’s general staff said in a statement. Hours earlier, Ukrainians hit the Crimean side of the Kerch ferry crossing — damaging two rail ferries, the Avanguard and the Conro Trader, that are crucial to Russia's ability to keep Crimea supplied. The Kerch Strait Bridge has been significantly damaged after a series of Ukrainian attacks in 2022 and 2023, leaving it unable to take heavy train traffic. That means Russia cannot use it for military logistics like transporting heavy armored vehicles, Ukrainian navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk told POLITICO. That is forcing Russia to rely on road and rail links across occupied Ukraine — which puts trains and trucks into easier range of Ukrainian attack. “Considering the fact that the railway line Russians are building through the occupied territories of Ukraine is not finished yet, this civil ferry was their army’s main logistics route,” Pletenchuk said. “Their sea logistics is also long gone after Ukraine destroyed four and damaged five of their landing ships,” he added.

The return of Crimea, seized illegally by Putin in 2014, is one of the highest military priorities of Ukraine.

Making it difficult for Russia to re-supply its occupiers in Crimea has been part of an ongoing effort by Ukraine almost since the start of the war – 829 days ago.
