Поэниле-де-Суб-Мунте (Руска Поляна) — деревня, где проживает одноименная коммуна в округе Марамуреш, Трансильвания, Румыния , с населением около 10 600 человек. Поэниле-де-Суб-Мунте расположен недалеко от деревни Репедя и от пригорода Гура-Бардиу.Старинное название местности – Поэниле Русулуй. Самое старое письменное упоминание о Поэниле-де-Суб-Мунте в 1353 году делает это место одним из старейших в Марамуреше.  Здесь жизнь движется в соответствии с временами года, а воздух несёт в себе неповторимый аромат сосен, овец и дыма от дровяных печей.

Поениле - крупнейший муниципалитет румынской части Марамуреша. Безусловно, большая часть муниципалитета - это лесистая гористая местность гор Марамуреш , часть Лесных Карпат . На северо-западе лежит массив Пип Иван Марамуреш (Варфул Поп Иван, 1936 м), на севере Фаркау ( Варфул Фаркау , 1956 м), на северо-востоке Варфул Речита ( 1573  м ) и на юге горы группа Пьетросул-Марамурешулуй. Реки Рика, Соколоу, Бардиу и Ковасница сливаются в муниципалитете, образуя Рускову, которая впадает в Вишэу (Вишау).

Poienile de Sub Munte (Ruska Polyana) is a village and commune of the same name in Maramures County, Transylvania, Romania, with a population of about 10,600. Poienile de Sub Munte is located near the village of Repedea and the suburb of Gura Bardiu. The ancient name of the area is Poienile Rusului. The oldest written mention of Poienile de Sub Munte is from 1353, making it one of the oldest places in Maramures. Here, life moves according to the seasons, and the air carries the unique aroma of pine trees, sheep and smoke from wood-burning stoves.

Poienile is the largest municipality in the Romanian part of Maramures. By far the largest part of the municipality is the wooded mountainous terrain of the Maramures Mountains, part of the Forest Carpathians. To the northwest lies the Pip Ivan Maramures Massif (Varful Pop Ivan, 1936 m), to the north Farcau (Varful Farcau, 1956 m), to the northeast Varful Recita (1573 m) and to the south the Pietrosul-Maramureșului mountain group. The Rica, Socolou, Bardiu and Covasnita rivers merge in the municipality, forming the Ruscova, which flows into the Vișau (Vișau).
