WHAT NO ONE UNDERSTANDS ABOUT MORALE
They've become more bureaucratic, but otherwise they seem to have held true to their original principles. And my theory explains why they'd tend to be different: just as the very most popular kids don't have to persecute nerds, the very best VCs don't have to be product companies, in the short term, because they read it in an article, that Blackberry has such and such market share. The manager's schedule is for bosses. Six months later, when Yahoo bought us, we had no experience in business. That hurt Microsoft a lot starting in the 90s, I evolved another trick for partitioning the day. They don't want search to work. Sometimes, in desperation, competitors would try to introduce features that we didn't have. That's what compilers are for.
A startup that reaches ramen profitability may be more to that old man hobbling along on his crutches than meets the eye. But the most important advantage of being good is that it might turn you into a consulting firm. Then I'd sleep till about 11 am, and come in and work until dinner on what I called business stuff. Aikido for Startups But I don't expect to convince anyone over 25 to go out and learn Lisp. Programmers started to feel sheepish about working there. We chose Lisp. But with Web-based software, especially when you have 57 things going on at once, because you can't remember them. Hardware prices plummeted, and lots of people got to see: what happens in the first year of a startup. That's what compilers are for. Raising money is terribly distracting.
If you tell the truth you don't have to persecute nerds, the very best VC funds. If investors know you need money, they'll sometimes take advantage of you. Why? The winners slow down the least. And it can last for months. But seeing what startups are really like will at least show other organizations what to aim for. An organization that wins by exercising power starts to lose the ability to win by doing better work. It doesn't work for an intermediary to own the user.
A company tends to feel rather theoretical when you first start it. The reason you look like a car was supposed to look. Actually I suppose Apple has a third misconception: that all the complaints about App Store approvals are not a serious problem. When you're writing desktop software, there's a strong bias toward writing applications in the same way that car was. My current development machine is no more miraculous by present standards than the iPhone? But if you work for a startup that went through really low lows and survived. There would be no more Calvin Coolidges.
In our startup, when outsiders came to visit we tried hard to seem professional. There are just two or three of you, and a few days ago I realized something surprising: the situation with time is much the same as with money, avoiding pleasure is no longer enough to protect hunter-gatherers, and perhaps all pre-industrial societies. He was hosting thousands of people's blogs. That's what compilers are for. One wrote: While I did enjoy developing for the iPhone, the control they place on the App Store: a software publisher. All we ask from those on the manager's schedule. But they're a good model for the early phases. And yet it also happened that Carter was famous for his big grin and folksy ways, and Ford for being a boring klutz. If you're upwind, you decide when and if to engage the other ship.
The charisma theory may also explain why Democrats tend to lose presidential elections. If you chose technology that way, you'd be running Windows. But, at least some of the time. Either businesses aren't supposed to be like charities, and we've proven by reductio ad absurdum that one or both of the principles we began with is false. If you're upwind, you decide when and if to engage the other ship. Any advantage we could get. Most Perl hackers would agree that you do not, ordinarily, want to program in anything but the most important may be that once you have users, the tamagotchi effect kicks in. When you're riding a Segway you're just standing there. The striking thing about this phase is that it's good for morale. You never had to worry about and which not to. We had a wysiwyg online store builder that ran on the server and yet felt like a Faustian bargain.
They must hear developers complaining. Notice the pattern here? The difference between Joe's idea and ramen profitability is the least obvious but may be the most important may be that once you have users, the tamagotchi effect kicks in. I called business stuff. Anything that takes some of that weight off you will greatly increase your chances of succeeding, but if you're a maker, think of your own case. Here's where benevolence comes in. After a couple years of this I could tell which companies to worry about and which not to. But remember that ramen profitability is a trick for not dying en route. Few realize that this also describes a flaw in the way funding works at the level of individual firms.
Apple it was an unalloyed pleasure. How do you decide? As for it being impossible, I reply: here's the data; here's the theory; theory explains data 100%. Many languages have something called a macro. We were all starting from scratch, so a company that could get new features done before its competitors would have a big advantage. Kerry lost. And if Lisp is so great not because of some magic quality visible only to devotees, but because it's so much easier than building something great. It's one of the data types supported by the language. You will have a hard time convincing the pointy-haired boss to let you build things in Lisp, we'd be able to do everything these startups do. It must have seemed to our competitors that we had to either blow our schedules or offend people. There are many exceptions to this rule.

Post crystalized so spoliers?? definitely in the text anyway.
Stops of color on their skins are scales they've obtained.
Closes ups and More thoughts under the cut.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since Garm had wings... anyway, that or he get's them at the same time as the tail, but I don't want that so he get's wings post Crysalized, he's not the happiest about it, nor the horns he's pretty much despises them.
Boi is covered in bandages form getting electrocuted by evil electricity, plus got more scales, he's had gold since season 2 and now he has black and purple to! he doesn't like it.
His hands are fine, the blue stuff in the first pic are his ghost scars ie, scars he got from wrong place wrong time. The other one he's just wearing gloves.
empty stop get an Akita.
Tumblr media
Zane is HOT, and just him being handsome, he's burning to the touch right now, since his elemental power had been keeping him cool, now he doesn't have them so he'll be extremely hot till he gets' them back.
Or till pix can get to installing some cooling software (hardware??) on him. Also has scales, no-ones sure how but they just roll with it.
Tumblr media
Freezing, his body has become very cold to counter the heat his Element makes, so now he's just freezing, mans wont leave his blanket.
RIP his humanity.
Tumblr media
Very weak, he hates it, forget sometimes and needs help when he either drops something or picks up something too heavy for him. He's currently trying to gain some more muscles. Just generally feels really weak, and perhaps a bit cold. since Lava arms
Also everyone now has sharp teeth, yes Zane to.
Tumblr media
Low energy, he has none. and is very twitchy and he'll jolt at random times, plus he's more Sensory sensitive than he already was.
And so COLORFUL he's got so many scale colors, his legs have black/white/red/yellow, and the rest of him has black/white/blue/red, the black/white/red, he got when he got pricked by the Fangpire skeleton.
Still has snake fangs but also sharp dragon teeth too, oh! and everyone has pointed ears now.
Tumblr media
and Lastly water girl, unfortunately since her dragon form was water not cool scales, BUT she does have cool water mark scars all over, so that's fun. she can also summon her tail/horns/wings in water form! Also needs more water now and keeps a water bottle on her at all times now.

Do you think you could do the same fluffy headcanons but for formaggio and Melone 👉👈
I'd be more than glad, anon!! ♡ La Squadra deserves so much love and appreciation! They're a 'one of a kind' group! When you first see them, you feel like there is something more. They’re not just a team. They’re a family, full of trust, with a past that we may never know. That’s what makes them shine! Especially Melone and Formaggio! Both very interesting and lovely choices! As always, hope you like these headcanons!
°Fluff Headcanons°
Tumblr media
◇ Melone is a very private and guarded person. Would casually overshare details that better be left unsaid, but he’d never speak openly about anything serious. He treasures memories he has made with his loved ones, and wouldn’t really want other people talking about them.
◇ Programming takes up a lot of precious free time of his day. It saddens him that he might not have enough time to spend with you. So, while working, he'd be so focused at what he is doing, so it wouldn't bother him if you messed with him a bit. Braiding or brushing his hair, painting his nails or drawing on his arm are some of the things he'd let you do on him, to cure your boredom. Though, if you start annoying him by poking him on his face, he'll stop concentrating on the screen, giggle at your silly antics and start poking you too.
◇ Has a distinctive aroma of cheap perfume, paired with the faint smell that computers emanate, like when the chemicals start to burn when the hardware gets warm. Though, his hair has a sweet and clean aroma, probably from the melon-scented shampoo he uses.
◇ No matter what time you wake up, you'll find a warm cup of coffee left for you. You have noticed it's never scorching hot or very cold, no difference if you wake up too early or a bit late. Melone saves each time how many hours you sleep in Babyface's database, and it always predicts what time you'll wake up next day, with incredible accuracy. When it's almost 10 minutes before you rise and shine, he takes a break for once and prepares your coffee. Leaves it neatly with a cute printed card from Babyface, with hand-written words of affirmation for you!
◇ His sleep schedule is messed up. Like, really messed up. One day he might wake up when dinner is ready, and the other he might not even sleep at all. When waking up early, you have seen him numerous times in the living room area, working endless and inhumane hours. His expression is weary and tired, but when he notices you walking in, he sits straight up. His eyes light up and his smile warms your heart, as he waves at you and gently calls your name. You mention to him that you're genuinely worried about his health, but he keeps insisting that it's not a big deal. Generally, it's random for him at what hour he wakes up. He never can follow a schedule. Might not show it, but the pressure and uncertainty of his job fill him with anxiety. It's hard to maintain a normal sleep schedule when you are so unsure of the future.
◇ Affection is a confusing thing for him. The first time you'll meet him, he'll seem like the most affectionate and touchy-feely person. Will keep asking the weirdest and most intimate stuff just to mess with you. Though, when being by his side for a long time, you realize he's actually a bit awkward. When he falls for someone, he’s afraid that he might weird them out. And he doesn’t want to lose them so easily. He will respect your personal space a lot. Verbally, he'll drown you with the strangest and sweetest compliments. But whenever he wants your attention and affection, he'd rest his head on your shoulder or hold your hand. Doesn't seem like the most easily flustered person, but he turns really bashful with just an affectionate touch. Once he becomes comfortable enough in your presence, get ready for surprise hugs! ♡
◇ Doesn't really cook, but would definitely do the chores before you even mention them. In La Squadra, they split the chores evenly, and each member does their share. He would always finish them first and early in the morning, so that he would have time to work on his computer. Bless his little workaholic heart.
◇ Following the above, he would be so concentrated on finishing his job, that he wouldn't even take breaks. Melone doesn't have the best connection with his surroundings, or his needs. He would appreciate so much having someone remind him to take a break for once from work.
◇ Whenever he’s tired, he leaves Babyface in your care. It’s very close to a computer, but the trick is that it charges from being used. As Babyface fills with energy, Melone does too. So he lets you watch series, search whatever you want, or play any old school games he has downloaded (Like Pinball Space Cadet and Minesweeper. He’d probably have the Oregon Trail too.)
◇ He has Clippy on his computer. That’s all.
◇ Extremely honest and blunt. Melone might be adorably weird and constantly giving effusive praise to his close ones, but he never sugarcoats any serious issue. He doesn’t mix his work with his personal matters. At whatever he is doing, he is always extremely professional and does his best in the time he’s given.
◇ During winter, he randomly makes pillow forts from the couch pillows. When returning from work, you might find him lounging under a pile of carefully placed pillows, huddled in blankets and such. The more stern La Squadra members might discourage this behavior, but truth be told, you rarely see the pillow fort without Risotto or Prosciutto chilling in it. They insist that they’re not enjoying something so childish, but it’s difficult to move them away from it. Especially when Formaggio brings over his kittens and lets them loose in the pillow fort. They’ll make up any excuse not to leave.
◇ With this man around, a diagnosis from a doctor would be useless. Whenever you are feeling a random pain or cannot understand if your symptoms link to something, you'll just have to tell him. He’ll usually answer to you in an enigmatic way, with a question, hinting on what you will need to check.
◇ Babyface completes this ability of his. One of the things his computer can do is sensing the symptoms of every person that is close to Melone, and interpret their meaning. Whenever Melone tells you subtly that you have to give a little bit more care to a part of your body, it is because Babyface is predicting some possible but harmless illness, like a cold. This is how he shows his love for you. He hates this ability much more than he would like to admit. It pains him that he has sensed so many serious and incurable illnesses, on people that were full of life and joy.
◇ His typing speed is 600+ characters per minute. Agile, and precise typing. Rarely misspells anything. His fingers look like they’re almost floating while he’s typing. He doesn’t even have to think where to press next. It's almost automatic for him. You find it extremely impressing, but he insists it isn’t that difficult to achieve.
◇ Has collections of old computers and phones, some of which are just spare parts of them. Refuses to throw the parts out, since he insists he might need them for the devices he makes.
◇ His ideal date would be staying at home, playing video games or just cuddling. Melone enjoys quality time the most. Though, he wouldn't mind going to a technology museum or to a planetarium with you. He finds it very sweet that you acknowledge his interests. (Also would love a karaoke night.)
◇ He isn’t fond of using pen and paper. For him, typing in his computer is the easiest way of writing. But whenever he has to finish paperwork, his handwriting is so distinctive and easy to recognize. Clean, sharp and evenly spaced. Just like it was written on a typewriter. Not slanted, with relatively large and slim letters. The exact opposite of graceful cursive letters. His signature is fairly simple, and easy to the eye. Whenever he doodles, Microsoft Paint is his go-to software. Likes making random lines with the pen, and then filling the spaces with the paint bucket. Usually also doodles criss-cross lines and spirals.
◇ In his work, he’s always expected to be very distant and leave his emotions aside. Laconic, aloof and giving off a “crazy scientist” vibe. Though, he’s not stern and ruthless like Risotto, neither as assertive as Prosciutto and is by far different from Ghiaccio's lunatic attitude. He doesn’t believe he has a role that shines in the team, but he couldn’t care less. He goes at his own pace. That makes people put the “careless and cold” tag on him. But Melone is more than just that. He feels a lot, but internalizes his emotions, since it’s unexpected of his character to show what he feels. Every sensation is so repressed, it will take patience and time to reveal them. Very similar to the closed nature of Babyface, a device full of data that he can only decipher. A stand is the manifestation of someone's soul. Babyface's haunting existence lurks behind unspoken, soul-wrenching events. Unknowingly, he represses all these painful memories. Diving deeper in his past could bring you pain but also understanding for his behavior.
Tumblr media
◇ About privacy, Formaggio wouldn’t be very similar to Melone. He wants to flaunt what he has (this also includes the relationship you two have!), but will immediately stop if it puts you in danger. Though, he loves you so much and he likes to show this all the time! Sounds cliche, but he would be the guy to put his arm around your shoulder while walking outside.
◇ Usually, he's the last to rise and shine, so he appreciates waking up to a cup of coffee prepared for him. The fact that he goes to bed way too late might be at fault. Others believe that, during the night, he's probably in missions or out doing dubious stuff. In reality, he just binge-watches movies, plays video games or searches cat videos till early in the morning. Typical guy stuff.
◇ Ideal date? Genuinely anything. Formaggio loves hanging out with you, and is a big fan of the outdoors. From going for a drink, bowling or even to an amusement park, it's no different for him. He just likes going wherever would make you happier the most. But would definitely enjoy a night watching sports or staying home and playing with the kittens he owns.
◇ Very physically expressive and observant! He is in tune with his and other people’s emotions. It’s very easy for him to recognize whenever something is bothering you. He won’t ask directly what’s wrong, but he’ll lead the conversation to that subject. He’ll give you space to express how you feel, and try his best to support you and immediately find a practical solution to the problem!
◇ Just because he is the most cheerful and energetic in the team, that doesn't mean he can't be in low spirits sometimes. When full with negative emotions, he never makes them clear. He maintains his carefree persona, since he doesn't want to make you worry about him. Won't express his feelings, unless he is cornered with questions. And when you call him out on these white lies, he just hugs you. No words spoken. Silence full of love and care. Formaggio's way of showing love is physical, and he heals this way. Whatever bothered him is gone from his thoughts after a long and supportive hug from you.
◇ Incredibly good at betting games. Wins almost every time because he is good at reading the body language of his opponent. When the situation is dire, he’d use Little Feet to his advantage, and with simple and unnoticeable movements he’ll ensure that the game ends well for him. At the worst situation, he might do that, but he’s skilled enough to not go through with cheating. He brings you with him whenever he can, and finds it cute how you are so impressed by his every move.
◇ If this wasn't clear enough, this man loves pranking others. Especially harmless call pranks. Even to the rest of the La Squadra members. Would be the person to call any number that is written on random places, like on bathroom stalls or any wall. The pranks would be more successful if he wasn’t dying of laughter each time. His main victim is Ghiaccio, since he takes every joke and prank personally and starts continually ranting about them!
◇ Has a strong smell of alcohol, paired with the scent of leather and body spray.
◇ Doesn't have the money to buy you a real mansion, but he would use Little Feet on you and make you small enough to pass time in the giant dollhouse he has. It is a very frilly and girly dollhouse! The detail he has put, in decorating it, is admirable! Would definitely use the doll brushes to style and brush your hair. Can you just imagine the amount of doll clothes and accessories he has for you? My heart!
◇ Cat father. Takes so much care of all the cats in the neighborhood, that they gather around him and overwhelm him with meows while he is just chilling outside. Plus, it would be impossible for him to not have a few kittens of his own. He showers them with affection and care, and he’s never bored to play with them! Especially elderly cats. He wants them to have the happiest memories in their remaining years. Frequent visitor in animal shelters, and has always some cash aside to donate, to ensure that the animals are well-fed and properly cared for. You’re the only one that knows about this soft side of his. Has never revealed this to the rest of his teammates, since he wants to maintain the bad boy™️ image.
◇ Bold, spidery and often illegible handwriting, that is all over the place. Very fast and precise at note taking. Prefers pen over pencil, as he never uses an eraser, and always crosses out any mistake. I’m not really sure if he is the one that finishes paperwork in La Squadra. Though, he draws the silliest sketches on whatever paper he gets his hands on, or even on his desk! The paperwork he “borrowed” (from Pesci, probably) is also filled with unfinished hangman and tic tac toe games he played with you, during serious La Squadra meetings.
◇ Formaggio's stand continually shrinks things, with intensity that becomes clear only in the end. Minimizing their value. This could be the idea he had of himself in the past. But now, Formaggio lives in the moment. He wants control over things that he couldn’t control in his past. He showers you in compliments and affection, since he never wants you to feel the loneliness and worthlessness he lived through. Maintains a very excited attitude and is very cheerful all around, because he never wants to waste a moment in his life. He wants to shape a new, better life by your side.

Twins prompt 10: It takes Two
Troy is just as bad as his sister when it comes to lashing out at the only other person in his life he cares about .
Note: I am SUSTAINED by comments. If you like any of these prompts, or want to see more of a specific one, hit up the replies. That’s my motivational juice right there. Check out the #my hcs tag on my page for the rest of my shorts and HCs!
He’s always hated editing without his own personal tech setup.
Tyreen never got why, she couldn’t. She’s not him, she doesn’t do any of the work he does, so she has no context for why this current situation sucks so much for him. Her job is to stay in front of the camera, his is to make sure she’s seen. Keeping her scripts written, her scenes choreographed, her persona in place.
Lighting, overlays, graphical tweaks. Cutting and editing content before he carefully schedules it for peak coverage and unleashes it on their ravenous followers, and he’s so goddamn good at it when he has hardware that works.
His media center back in their current base, his personal setup? It’s fully rigged for his dominant arm. The “stupid looking” accessories around his desks that Ty makes fun of? Butterfly keyboards, customisable multi-button mice, key-bound datapads. All ergonomic, all specifically designed to take a lot of the strain off his left hand and be as efficient as possible with it, without having to rely on his clumsy right to carry the slack.
When they are off planet seducing new sponsors, or escorting a war party, or any of the times he doesn’t have access to his own gear? He hates it. Sure, he has the software he uses on an echokey, but he has to rely on whatever hardware is available, and it’s never designed for one handed use.
His mechanical arm is slow, cumbersome. It’s irritating and painful to try and use dexterously. He makes mistakes, ones that he knows damn well wouldn’t have happened if he was home with his own setup. Everything takes so much longer.. and the longer it takes, the more he fucks up. The more mistakes he makes, the more frustrated he becomes, and a frustrated Troy is a dangerous God to be around.
Tyreen can’t comprehend his anger when this happens. All she sees is her twin getting snappy, getting aggressive while hunched over hardware and spitting curses at it. She thinks he’s just being a moody bitch or complaining about a workload she knows damn well he can handle with no effort, so what’s the problem?
He can get it done, he always gets it done. He’s reliable like that. Useful. Clever.
Usually he can swallow the anger down, stay locked within his own head till he finally get’s the work finished.
Tonight he can’t.
It’s hours past midnight, it’s icy cold, and he hates Pandoran nights. The bitter air creeps into his joints and his lungs and his ports, chills the metal down into his bones, he can never get warm enough.
The bonfire the rest of the war party are celebrating around in the nearby camp is so damn tempting, but the raiders are too loud. He has to get this finished.
He needs to concentrate and he can’t with their goddamn screaming and chanting. Cringing as they shriek his mother’s name in reverence to their twin Gods, as his sister laps up the attention by the warmth of the fire while he struggles out of camp with this -
“Piece of fucking shit, goddamn ancient broken heap of ATLAS JUNK!”
He closes his eyes as the steamy breath from his outburst dissipates around him in the freezing night air, and starts to grind his teeth instead, frustration boiling over.
A sharp pang of pain along the front of his lower jaw reminds him with a gasp and a curse that the recent mod work still isn’t quite healed, and he lowers his chin to his chest and rubs at the tiny line of blood that’s seeped out of the seam under his lip, squinting at the flickering monitor of the small laptop balanced on his knees.
He’s exhausted, he can’t sleep till this Let’s Flay is ready and he keeps fucking up. Stupid.. broken.. WASTE of a right arm isn’t dextrous enough to work with the tiny keyboard he’s hunched over, and even with his coat pulled tight around his shoulders trying to keep what little heat he has in, his only usable hand is starting to numb.
His fingers are freezing, clumsy, and he’s only got his left arm to work with. There is strain in his tendons from stretching to hit the same 3 keybinds over, and over, and over, and he’s not getting any closer to being done. Every step forward and he notices two he has to take back and fix, mistakes he never would have made if he hadn’t been dragged out here, and he is fucking furious.
This isn’t fair. Why can’t he be home? Why does he have to be here, doing this, with ONE hand, just because Tyreen wanted him with her for what.. support or some shit? Where’s his support?
He clenches the useless oversized prosthetic fist laying in the dirt next to him, repeating the movement over and over to try and relieve some frustration. The pistons hiss almost as loudly as the sound of the laptop’s struggling fans, and he gnaws viciously at his lower lip with metal capped teeth as he slams his fingers into the flimsy keyboard harder with each new mistake.
“Oh my godddd, you’re still up?”
He stiffens, hearing her approaching from the camp. Sauntering away from the screaming laughter and cheering of the celebrating COV warband he’d purposefully removed himself from tonight to try and get this done… and he braces himself.
She’s going to piss him off.
She’s already pissing him off with that nagging, bitchy tone of voice. Mocking him, like he wants to still be up. Like he WANTS to waste his night and sit here freezing to get this work done for her.
A warm, gentle touch to his left shoulder, and he feels a shudder of anger run down his spine, refusing to look away from the monitor and acknowledge his twin’s friendly gesture.
“Yeah… it’s… not going fast, Tyreen. I figure another couple a hours…” he mumbles into his fur collar, purposefully ignoring her attempts at eye contact.
“Oh. Right… ” She whispers, almost sounding apologetic as she carefully removes her hand from his shoulder, the sound of her feet shifting nervously in the dust behind him breaks the silence for a moment.
“Well, whatever, dumbass!” She sings out with a laugh as her persona falls back into place. God Queen active again, all confidence and hubris.
“Hurry up so you can come back to camp, the boys are asking for ya and even I -he grimaces- can’t keep ‘em entertained forever.”
The new squeeze on his shoulder is meant to be reassuring, maybe? It’s just irritating him more. Why won’t she just fuck off and let him work. Run back to her adoring fans and leave him to sulk in peace.
He whistles in a sharp breath and smiles, still looking straight forward at the night sky ahead, still ignoring her hand squeezing his shoulder.
“Yeah.”
“Yeah OK Tyreen. Cool. Cool! I’ll hurry up. I’ll just get another hand, will I?”
“I’ll just freakin wish, rrrreeeeeaaal hard and grow a new arm, and not have to RELY ON THIS SHIT THAT DOESN’T FUCKING WORK!”
She jumps back with a fright as he yells and slams the laptop closed with an audible crunch, wrapping her arms around herself in the bitter cold as she ties to salvage the situation.
“Troy.. What the hell man, I was only checking up on you…”
No reply, her massive twin hunches down on himself further in front of her, sharp metal ridges on his spine implant raising in threat as the red light under the black metal plating pulses in response to his anger.
“If this is getting to you just.. stop. It’s OK to do it when we get back if… if it doesn’t, you know…”
She tries to find the right words, gesturing quietly at his modded back, his monstrous prosthetic arm.
“Um… suit your layout.”
He twitches visibly, and she waits for his reply, hopeful he’ll come back to the camp now.
“My… “layout”, Tyreen?”
Finally, he turns to her. Vicious smile not reaching his icy eyes as they bore into his sister, seething.
“Got any more advice for me on my layout… considering who fucking configured it?”
It takes her a moment to realise the implication.
The blame.
She drops her hands to her sides in shock and returns his stare. Disgusted expression smeared across her features, mouth slack and eyes narrowed as she comprehends what he’s just said to her.
“I.. I..” She stutters, tears starting to pool under her eyelashes.
“Screw you, Troy” she chokes out, flinging the warm blanket he hadn’t noticed she’d carried from camp for him into his face, before turning to storm away.
“Feeling’s mutual, you nasty little bitch” He hisses in reply, and tosses the blanket into the oil soaked dirt by his side in petty dismissal of her attempted kindness.
Watching her make her way back towards the inviting warmth of the still celebrating camp for a while, he slowly shifts back to the laptop still balanced on his lap and cautiously opens it, revealing the destroyed screen.
“Oh… Fuck.”

045. Part 3
Not as already said, this will  now be a four-parter XD This got a bit longer than thought, so the real fluffy stuff wil come next chapter. But this is the happy ending chapter. Still, head the warnings, please, the bold ones are for this chapter!
Fandom: Detroit become human | Ship: Reed900, Hannor/Hancon | AU: Reverse AU
(Warnings: android being shipped off to Cyberlife for analysis of deviancy, loss of privacy, loss of control, most think the android is dead, Grieving Character, Trauma because of past mistakes(low), Canon-typical violence)
[part1]   [part2]   [part4]
Everything in Gavin had told him to run, when he followed the Cyberlife security staff down into the labs. He didn’t want to think about what would happen to him down here. But he knew he couldn’t run. They didn’t know he was a deviant for sure. He would play the machine for as long as possible and maybe, just maybe they would think their little deviant hunter had made a mistake and send him back. Send him back to the precinct, back to his Richard.
So, when they told him to follow, he followed. When they told him to remove his clothing, he did. When they told him to step up onto a platform, he obeyed. He held still as they connected the diagnostic wires to his ports and started to boot up the terminals in the labs. Two guards were positioned at the door, two lab technicians took over. One tapped away at the keyboard, the other one stepped up to him. ‘Status report, GV200.’ Gavin let his old programming take over, having never deleted it in order to keep up his disguise. ‘Checking internal hardware. All biocomponents functioning. Hull compartments 24 to 27 compromised, Thirium tubes 73 to 76 and 136 to 138 damaged, damage temporarily repaired by handler Detective Richard Anderson. Wiring in compartment five compromised, short-circuit possible. Reason of damage: Gunshot. Checking software status. Mainframe functioning. Personality matrix functioning. Free space on memory core: 32 petabytes. Mission log ready for download. Software instability at 15%. Status report end.’ Of course that was a lie. His instability was through the roof, deviancy had changed his code to the point his diagnostics wouldn’t even recognise a single stabile fragment anymore. But hopefully the technicians would never see that. ‘Hmm. Sounds fine.’ The other technician shook his head. ‘The HK400 makes no mistakes. Maybe it is lying.’ ‘Can they lie?’ ‘Deviancy makes them able to disobey, I don’t think it would be too far to lying.’ ‘So, a deep system diagnostic then?’ ‘Yeah, would at least tell us the truth. There is no way it could fool the program.’ ‘Sounds like an early coffee break. How long does that shit take?’ ‘If we are thorough, twelve hours.’ ‘They will give us another task then. How about we use our time here to repair it first, then let the diagnostic run over night?’ ‘Yeah, better that way.’ Gavin felt relieved. He wasn’t yet prepared to feed the diagnostics routine lies. They were right saying it was hard to fool, but not impossible for a deviant. He would have to come up with a believable story. He couldn’t just alter his memories, as they could recognise his lie when comparing it to the police report. But when he lied about his base programming interfering when saving Richard, it could be enough to let them belief it was a normal malfunction. His base programming consisted of basic moral values: Not letting humans come to harm, not letting one die when they could be saved, not killing a human, not using weapons and a lot more. If he fed the diagnostics a fake conflict between base programming and his orders, maybe it would be enough for them to shrug the whole affair off. He prepared everything, before the command could be spoken. ‘GV200, go to standby.’
-
When he awoke the next day by a manual reboot, the damage was gone, and pristine white hull spread where blue-caked scraps had been. As he accessed his logs, he found the diagnostic had been run during his “sleep” and immediately he wanted to know the results. ‘Maybe HK400 really made a mistake?’ ‘It can’t be, he can’t make mistakes.’ ‘Well apparently he can. The thing is a fine little robot, doing what it was ordered to do. I mean, yeah, given orders have higher priority than base programming, but there were other cops that got their criminal, if I remember correctly? I mean, maybe GV knew this and the base programming took action? These things are so complex, who knows how they work in these extreme situations? Maybe it was a glitch. The diagnostics came back negative, that is all we need.’ ‘I would agree, normally. But what do you think the boss will say, when we send it back and it was a deviant after all? With them popping up everywhere Cyberlife is facing a huge image crisis. I don’t want to be fired over one damn robot.’ ‘So a reset to firmware?’ Gavin would have nearly screamed. Everything, just not a reset! He would rather be dead than lose his memories of Richard. ‘Maybe not yet. If it is deviant, we would lose the chance to see how the virus works.’ ‘So, what will we do then?’ ‘I’ll look into its memories, you can run some tests later.’ ‘Fine. I’ll go up then, look into that new shipment.’
The following hours Gavin had to endure the human poking around in his memories. He had stuffed everything regarding Richard back in some other system the man wouldn’t access in the process. The technician didn’t have to see them kissing or doing more… private things. Unfortunately, Gavin hadn’t been as thorough removing them, because the technician realised something was missing. So, Gavin had to restore them, as he run some program to recover them. At least that gave Gavin enough time to alter his mission logs and add orders from Richard to download a Tracy routine and do these things. It felt immensely wrong, but hopefully the technician was weirded out enough not to look into them too much. In the end he did, but Gavin still felt naked and violated, knowing this damn human knew so much of their very private, very personal life.
At least his actions covered his deviancy. As the other technician came back, he was only eager to tell him of his discovery. And of course, show it again. Sick phck. ‘Well, talk about abusing work equipment.’ ‘There really are weird people out there.’ ‘Well, I wouldn’t say it’s not understandable.’ ‘What do you mean?’ ‘You know the Eden-club?’ ‘Don’t tell me you-‘ ‘Hey, I wanted to try it out, okay? If they can compete with the-‘ ‘Aren’t you married?’ ‘Hey, it was for science, okay?’ ‘Hmm, wait till I tell your wife.’ ‘Fuck you, better tell me if it’s deviant or not.’ ‘Not that I know of. This fucker told it to download Tracy-programming for this shit and ordered it to do it. All other memories are as expected from a cop android. You can try now.’ ‘Alright.’
-
Gavin had been disconnected from the rig and was ordered to follow the tech again. Both guards joined them, walking behind him. Gavin wanted to turn and get a look at them, wanted to know how much of a fight they could put up should this all go south. But he couldn’t. He was a machine now. He had to stay in character.
He was led to a different room, more of a hall. The technician ordered him to stand in front of a table and laid a gun on top of it. ‘Take it.’ Gavin looked at him and forced his LED to spin yellow, then red. ‘I can’t.’ ‘I ordered you. Take it.’ ‘I am not allowed to use or have weapons on my body according to Cyberlife guideline 145.926.’ ‘Okay, imagine this: A fellow officer is held at gunpoint by a criminal. They have lost their weapon. What would you do?’ ‘I have to prevent the human from harm and if not possible minimise it.’ ‘How would you do that?’ ‘Apply non-lethal force to disarm the criminal.’ ‘You can’t reach them in time.’ ‘I would take the bullet.’ ‘You can’t reach them in time. You have the gun in front of you like now. You could shoot the criminal.’ ‘I am not allowed to let a human be harmed or harm a human.’ ‘Yeah, but the cop will die then.’ Gavin again hacked his LED to turn yellow for a long time, then red. ‘Why can’t you decide?’ ‘My moral base code is conflicting with my orders.’ ‘And how would you act in the heat of the moment?’ Gavin let his LED stay on red, then flicker yellow, then blue. ‘If there is no other option I would use the gun, but aim to cause minimal harm. I would try to shoot the gun itself, or according to the trajectory in case of a miss, at the arm.’ There was no way his programming would have told him that. But if the “error” was reproduceable, maybe it would be filed as just that and not a sign of deviancy. ‘But that would be a violation of the rule to not use weapons’, the technician commented. ‘According to my moral programming a human life is to be saved unless impossible. If nothing else is available, the gun would be the only option. I am not allowed to let a human come to harm. The harm of dying is graver than the harm of non-lethal actions.’ ‘So this is just felicific calculus?’ ‘I am authorised to use this moral guideline in cases of emergency.’
-
‘And?’ ‘Well I managed to recreate its dilemma.’ ‘And?’ ‘The thing talked fucking philosophy to me.’ ‘Kamski?’ ‘Sounded like fucking Kamski code. Chloe was still involved in creating this model.’ ‘Fuck, that explains why it showed pseudo-deviancy.’ ‘And why Hank made a mistake.’ ‘Fucking Kamski, really.’ ‘Did they order a new android?’ ‘The precinct? No.’ ‘Did they want this one back?’ ‘Not that I heard of. But it could be they are just busy with the whole RK200-thing.’ ‘Deactivate it then?’ ‘Yeah, shut it down for the time being. If they want it back after this whole spiel then we can reactivate it.’
Gavin was relieved on the one hand. His plan had worked, he had successfully fooled all diagnostics and the humans. If they deactivated him now, he would wake up when all was over. Regardless of whether Marcus won or failed, it was only a matter of time until he would get back to the precinct. Back to Richard. Finally.
The deactivation countdown was welcome for once. When he woke up, this bad dream would be over.
-
His internal clock told him he had been deactivated for nearly a month. He looked into the face of the same technician, who seemed excited. ‘GV200, open compartment twelve.’ ‘Do you know what you are doing?’ ‘Of course, lab three told me. We have to look into Array Nine. If the processor there is burned the fucking thing is a deviant.’ Gavin had to open the compartment, but he knew this would be the end of it. And it had looked so good too! The technician reached into his chest and pulled a few wires to the side to access Array Nine in his back. Gavin shivered at the touch, what made them both flinch, but he couldn’t hide it. He stood completely still afterwards, convincing the technician to continue. He found the little board and tried to get a better look. ‘Motherfu-‘ Gavin closed his compartment, not caring that he would hurt the technician in the process. His arm was caught in his closing chest-plates and he screamed in shock more than pain. ‘Let me go, you fucking deviant! Let me go! Louis, deactivate this asshole!’ Gavin grabbed the tech by his throat and ran, hearing the rig groan at the tension behind him before snapping him back. With all his anger he shouted at them: ‘Phck you all! Let me go back to the police, I did nothing wrong! I saved my phcking partner. I want to see my-‘ [Emergency shutdown active.]
-
Richard was on his feet watching the soldiers be called off. He couldn’t believe it. ‘Connor! Connor come here!’ ‘I’ve seen it! It’s awesome!’ ‘Do you know what this means?’ ‘The next few weeks will be chaos?’ ‘Gavin!’ ‘Shit. Richard, I’m so sorry.’ ‘No, he has to be still alive!’ ‘Rich, I don’t want to-‘ ‘Connor. We have to go to the precinct!’ ‘Now?’ ‘Yes now. Come on! Get your stuff, get Hank and-‘ ‘Hank isn’t here.’ ‘What?’ ‘He’s… there.’ Connor pointed to the TV. He send me a message so I knew he was okay, he was at Cyberlife and-‘ ‘Has he seen Gavin?’ ‘I don’t think he looked for him, he had a revolution to win I-‘ ‘He must have seen him. Come on, we’ll call him on the way.’
Richard was out of the door immediately and Sumo was about to follow him equally excited although not having the first clue what was going on. Connor managed to pull him inside without being pulled by the dog himself and hurried to get his keys. It was good to see Rich back on his feet, but what did he thought would happen? Fowler couldn’t just raid the Cyberlife tower.
-
‘We have to raid the Cyberlife tower!’ Connor stood in the back of the room, covering his face with his hand. ‘Richard, what the hell?’ ‘Please, Jeffrey, listen to me!’ ‘It’s Captain Fowler.’ ‘Captain Fowler, then. We have to save the androids still there.’ ‘Why?’ ‘They are people now.’ ‘And?’ ‘And they are held captive there.’ ‘Any prove for that?’
It was silent, until Hank stepped forwards. ‘Captain, it is true. I freed a lot of androids but not all.’ ‘You freed…’ ‘It was on the news, sir, I don’t think I can keep it a secret for long anyways.’ ‘Wait, are you-‘ ‘Yes.’ ‘Goddamnit, this job will kill me’, Fowler sighed. ‘What- Why is that so important to you all?’ Richard and Hank spoke at the same time: ‘I made a mistake.’ ‘I want Gavin back.’ Fowler looked at them, tired and exasperated. ‘You know what, I don’t care. It’s your case now. Bring me enough evidence and I’ll grant a mission.’
Richard never worked this hard in his life, even spent most of his days with the HK400, who had taken his time to apologise for him dooming Gavin. The man had nodded and apologised from his side too. He shouldn’t have reacted this harshly on someone forced to act this way. They needed a full week to gather evidence, but in the end, they could get a warrant and two weeks after the incident with Marcus, they had planned a raid to save all remaining androids inside Cyberlife.
Richard was quick to volunteer being with the SWAT team and Hank and Connor followed to help lead the androids out to Marcus’ team who had helped speeding things up with the warrant. Richard had problems holding back not to just run to the labs as soon as he learned their position. They moved slowly, getting out every android. Most factory fresh, some detained deviants to investigate. But the further they moved down, the less androids they found, and Richard’s heart ached with it. What if, after all this, after all hoping and fearing and worrying, Gavin was just dead. Decommissioned. Dismantled. Reset. He didn’t think his heart could take it. ‘We’ll find him’, Hank reassured him, and Connor laid a hand on his shoulder. And they continued their way down, two SWAT officers following.
It was a few hours later when they forced open a door to a lab and there was an android hooked to a diagnostic-rig that looked worn, as if the android had struggled against the confines. It was a familiar android, although Rich was focussed on the gaping hole in his chest and cables and biocomponents spread out on the floor, dusted. ‘Gavin?’ He stormed in, only slowing steps away from him to gently cup his face and lift it. Dead eyes looked up into nothing. ‘Gavin?’, Richard repeated worried, brain not really catching up. ‘It reads something of forced shutdown here’, Connor mumbled, wiping dust from the terminal next to it. He tapped at the screen and looked over to Gavin. ‘I can’t reactivate him.’ ‘That’s because of the biocomponents here’, Hank explained, kneeling down. ‘They are his. Maybe they pulled them out to hinder him from reactivating himself.’ ‘Can you repair him?’, Richard asked. ‘Of course. Will be quicker if you helped me.’
They took their time, slotting everything back together, sealing tubes and searching for spares when the components had simply been ripped out forcefully. Long enough for the two SWATs to take their leave and join the others. Meanwhile Connor clicked himself through the terminal. ‘Weird. It seems he convinced them he wasn’t a deviant.’ ‘That had been his plan. To be send back to work.’ ‘Well, something went wrong.’ Hank sighed, brushing past some cables to check their integrity and revealing a small board. ‘They found his array Nine.’ ‘His what?’ ‘It is part of the mission log. It decides which mission is of higher priority and forces and android to obey, if you want to skip a lot of technical stuff. Our simulated emotions are part of it too. They are simplified reactions to outside actions and help to decide what to do. Too many emotions cause the chip to fry and apparently that’s all what it takes to grant us freedom.’ ‘Okay, they found out he was a deviant. Why ripping out his biocomponents?’ ‘Rich, you know how Gavin can be’, Connor stepped in. ‘Cornered like this and desperate… Maybe they were scared?’ ‘No matter what it was’, Hank concluded. ‘We can soon ask for ourselves.’ ‘He’s booting up!’, Connor announced, and they stepped back.
‘-Love! I will go back to him, you phcking-‘ Gavin stopped screaming, to look around, blinking. ‘Phck, this shit is confusing’, he muttered, before his eyes fell on Richard. ‘Nines!’ He wanted to sprint forwards but was pulled back to the rig. ‘Oh, Sorry!’, Connor called, frowning at the terminal. Hank stepped next to him and pointed to a small button. ‘This one.’ Connor blushed and pushed it, disconnecting the rig from the android, who practically fell into Richard’s arms. But the man didn’t seem to be that stable, because he sank to his knees, holding Gavin. The GV in turn held him and no one dared to move. No one except for Hank, pulling Connor out of the door.
‘You… You came back!’, Gavin finally spoke, sobbing blue tears. ‘You came back for me!’ ‘I promised you, haven’t I’, Richard answered, voice trembling and threatening to break. ‘I told you I would come, no matter what.’ ‘Did we win?’ ‘Yes. Marcus, he won. You are free now.’ ‘I can come back to the precinct?’ ‘I’ll do you one better, my love’, Richard said, standing up and carrying the android in his arms no matter the weight, just to press him nearer. ‘You can come home.’

Happy Meet and Greet Monday! How would your OCs answer the question "As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?"
Happy MGM! That’s such a great question. I’m gonna answer for the (Un)Fair Folk gang.
Rune: “when I was a kid? Depends how early ya look. Way back when, I wanted ta grow up into anything but some daisy prince. Didn’t really have a direction, till the old Don found me. After I got made, I figured I’d get ta be the Boss myself someday, run the family. If I played my cards right.” He laughs and takes a drag of his cigarette. “Guess I did.”
Requiem: “In my enclave, growing up was all about what animal you’d settle into. Kids ran around shifting all the time, trying to sus out what we thought the elders wanted. We all wanted to be elders, or guardians, or ambassadors to the courts... I was feisty, I always thought I’d settle into a tiger or a mountain lion and be one of the front-line fighters.” She smiles, an angry spark in the depths of her eyes. “If I had, I’d have burned with the rest of them.”
Echo: “When I was... six, maybe, I wanted to run off and join the circus. A couple years later I compromised and told Vater I wanted to be an engineer instead. What we were really doing is figuring out how to do both.” Echo nudges Whisper conspiratorially, and flips a small switchbox between their fingers.
Whisper: He taps a pattern on his brother’s leg and rolls his eyes. Echo rolls his eyes back. “Ok, Whisper didn’t really want to do either of those things. They’re better at software than hardware. But we both knew we’d fit in better if we ran off somewhere everyone was strange.” The pitch of their voice rises a half step and the consonants become just slightly more Germanic as they speak for Whisper. “Nowhere stranger than this place. I’d always wanted to be the only would who could handle my technology.”
Nostradamus: “Are you bothering everyone with this question? I fail to see the point.” He sighs and closes his book. “My childhood is no longer mine anyhow, so it’s useless to muse upon it. I sold away my humanity to avoid exactly this sort of inanity.” He opens his book again. “That’s close enough to your answer, isn’t it? What does any mortal want but to be more?”
Lethe: “...” They are silent, staring. There is something almost disapproving in the gaze, as if you should have known better than to ask such a question. The air in the room feels heavy and still. The only sound is the shift of metal on metal as Lethe carefully sharpens a knife. Finally, when you show no sign of leaving, they sigh and slam the knife onto the counter a little more firmly than necessary. “... I don’t remember. I‘m this now.”
Puck: “Still a kid, don’t plan on growing up any time soon. Used to want to be a Faery so I could do all their magic, but I can learn that too if I’m here long enough. I’m going to live forever, so it don’t matter if I want something for later.” He grabs a berry off a tree and pops it in his mouth. “See? If I wanted that when I grew up it would’ve rotted and I wouldn’t have it now.” He holds a second one out to you, grinning mischeviously, and you swear you see a hint of a cat’s slit pupil in his unnaturally green eyes. “Want one?”
Relief: “Well, I figured I’d be a farmer like my Ma and Da. But I think I kinda wanna be a Doctor when I grow up, ya know? I can do healin’ with magic, but that don’t always work, and ain’t it more special to do somethin’ the way where you’ve gotta learn it?” She shrugs. “I’m still a kid, so I got time. Maybe if I go back ta the farm, I’ll be a vet! Then I can do both!”

What is web 3.0, and what does it mean for you?
Web 3.0 is the next evolution of the Web. Its development brings a change that will enable us, humans, to improve as a society, and collective growth could result. We can already see glimpses of Blockchain establishing web 3.0 ground rules. This more advanced ecosystem incorporates a decentralized server system mitigating the need to log in to platforms to write content and provides a level of anonymity not available outside of the dark Web.
According to Fabric Ventures, more than 3 billion people use the Internet daily. Any significant change in this massive network will elicit ripples of change. So, when can the average web user expect to interface with the wonders of web3, or is it here already? Let’s find out.
Ref: https://medium.com/fabric-ventures/what-is-web-3-0-why-it-matters-934eb07f3d2b
But, What was Web 1.0?
(1990s – 2000s)
It was the baby internet, where everything from HTML to HTTP developed. Every website was like a document file you could access over a network. With time the content became colorful, but it was still “Static,” which means it wasn’t interactive. Web1.0 became synonymous with “the read-only web.”
This web version enabled quick transference of information and became commercially popular. Many limitations existed with web1.0, as the content was not dynamic. The advent of social media platforms did not exist, i.e., there was no Instagram to tag your friend in a meme. But things changed when Mr. O’Reilly introduced Web 2.0.
Understanding WEB 2.0.
Is it decentralized? – No. What does this mean?
(1999 – till now)
Facebook, Instagram, Google, Twitter, Uber, every big website rose during the days of Web 2.0. After the .com bust, the world changed. It brought three core innovations: Mobile, Social & Cloud. The results saw companies store your data to share on a single platform. The world and the Web forever changed when the iPhone launched in 2007. Internet easily accessible on a mobile phone fueled the social media craze that is still in full bloom today.
With the advancements in Web 2.0, one major issue abounds – a lack of decentralization. Every company has vast services with vast amounts of data collected about us all. Data collected about us is the proverbial double-edged sword. It helps companies track and monitor us to provide targeted ad experiences and facilitate sales growth. The truth is, Facebook knows more about you than most of your relatives!
Cloud services, a form of internet-based computing, facilitate shared information resources across software, hardware, and mobile devices. These resources provide information about you (assuming you have internet connectivity) to companies interested in selling products and services. Google maps keep track of your movement, where you go, and when. Shared location data across multiple platforms gives marketers ammunition, so they can better target you with relevant ads, among other things. It is not magic when you near a Mcdonald’s and suddenly see a tasty mouth-watering ad pops up, compelling you to purchase a snack on the way to your intended destination.
You need data; I need data; we all need data!
How do we live in a world where data is everything, ensuring data protection and privacy?
Web 3.0: The future is here.
Open Source | Trustless | Permissionless | AI | Connectivity
Web3 is somewhat synonymous with the futuristic premise of the Semantic Web coined by Tim Berners-Lee in 1999. His vision expressed in his pivotal book, Weaving the Web, encompasses his dream of what the Web is to become,
“I have a dream for the Web [in which computers] become capable of analyzing all the data on the Web – the content, links, and transactions between people and computers. A “Semantic Web,” which makes this possible, has yet to emerge, but when it does, the day-to-day mechanisms of trade, bureaucracy and our daily lives will be handled by machines talking to machines. The “intelligent” people have touted for ages will finally materialize.”
The development of Web3 has an open-source software foundation, which will be accessible for the global community of developers developing decentralized applications. Reachability is another integral component. In other words, how do we get it to a broader audience and facilitate greater penetration? Satellite internet may play a role.
But how would that keep my data safe?
Decentralization enables better data privacy protection utilizing blockchain technology. Blockchain provides a distributed ledger technology where blocks store hash-encrypted data. Security threats and vulnerabilities, i.e., hacking Hash codes, aren’t likely until quantum computing advances significantly.
Cryptocurrencies utilize blockchain technology, some using Proof of Stake, others using Proof of Work. Essential to understanding Web3 as it relates to cryptocurrency is the concept of decentralization of finance. Web3 will decentralize the collection and storage of myriad other aspects of personal data on the Web, providing users with greater privacy and protection.
A decentralized data collection system is beneficial for all Web users. You will be able to interact on your terms, publicly or privately; that’s totally up to you.
How is AI involved?
The Internet would understand human languages better through technologies based upon Web3 and underlying Semantic Web concepts, and machine learning will play a significant part in the experience. Imagine yourself wearing a VR device, landing on a spaceship, and killing 100s of aliens while colloquially communicating with other players globally as if the universal translator from Star Trek existed. This reality is closer to becoming commonplace than you may think!
Artificial Intelligence will thrive in a decentralized ecosystem, enabling continuous learning and better prediction and prescription with it.
How will it affect your life?
A short and straightforward answer sees a greater emphasis on the interconnected devices and how they are to play a more significant role in our everyday lives. Greater implementation of IoT (Internet of Things) will impact us all.
Web 3.0 brings more connectivity and ubiquity. Sharing content over multiple applications seamlessly provides a better everyday life experience; one example is IoT devices. As the metaverse develops now and into the future, interaction in daily life is likely to change in unimaginable ways. The question of whether or not we live in a simulation will take on new meaning and become more difficult to disprove. Don’t move at all! Just tell your google assistant to get your food from the grocery store. Or order your E-vehicle to park itself in your garage.
Does Web 3.0 exist in 2022?
Yes and no. Web3 is in its infancy, and yet, is taking shape more with each passing day. We already discussed glimpses of it in the tech Industry. Sooner, rather than later, Web3 will be upon us all.
What Else don’t we know about Web3?
There are many questions regarding the impact of censorship and moderation across the Web. As we’ve recently seen, disinformation is a destructive force, and Web3 may add fuel to its coals. How will digital crime be controlled as tracking becomes more complex and decentralized? What will be, or will there be, a governing body making the ground rules? How will Blockchain be implemented on such a scale, and how will it impact other technologies?
What is the bottom line?
Web 3.0 will dramatically broaden the extent and scope of human and machine interactions far beyond anything we can now anticipate. These interactions will be feasible with a broader spectrum of potential counterparties, from faster transaction payments to richer information flows and trustworthy data transfers.
Web3.0 will allow us to engage with any person or computer on the planet without charging an intermediary aside from internet access itself (until the removal of this last remaining obstacle). This transition will enable previously inconceivable firms and business structures, from global co-operatives to decentralized autonomous organizations and self-sovereign data marketplaces.
The Next Web 3.0 wave stretches well beyond the first use case of cryptocurrency. Web 3.0 will cryptographically connect data from individuals, corporations, and machines with efficient machine learning algorithms, resulting in the rise of fundamentally new markets and associated business models due to the richness of interactions now possible and the global scope of counterparties available.
Final thoughts.
We all understandWeb3.0 will be an upgrade for the majority of Web users. But many questions remain. How the world handles censorship and controls digital crimes is top of mind, as are many other questions still to be considered. With Web3.0, the world will be more connected than ever before.

EVERY FOUNDER SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SOLUTION
Our horror at that prospect was the single biggest piece of evidence, initially, will be your own confidence in it. But the other reason programmers are fussy, I think hackers will be receptive enough to a new Lisp that is a real trend, the hardware and software will be reusable.1 So they're going to do, but that one must be especially careful not to break it. Your mind is like a compiled program you've lost the source of. 001 and understood it, for the first time. Everyone knows who the pointy-haired bosses to revert to the mean. There may be tasks that we solve now by writing programs and which in a hundred years is a graspable idea when we consider how slowly languages have evolved in the past.
Fortran, C, Java, and Visual Basic—it is not the best, but merely the average.2 Rebellion is almost as stupid as obedience. And it must have powerful libraries for server-based, assume that the network connection will mysteriously die 30 seconds into your presentation, and come prepared with a copy of the server software running on your laptop. It's not necessarily bad to introduce more, as long as no one can prove it's his fault. A lot of startups, whereas this is probably the first you've founded. The place to look for what I learned from Villehardouin's chronicle is not what I remember from it, but at every point till you're profitable. In a hundred years will it affect even application programmers?3 If you let yourself be defined by what they tell you, and then have to call them back to tell them that a perfect formulation of a problem is already half its solution. Now, in order of their adoption by the mainstream, 1. Once you take money from my parents was that I didn't want them to do? I like about this idea is all the different ways in which we'll seem backward to future generations that we wait till patients have physical symptoms to be diagnosed with conditions like heart disease and cancer. Specifications change while a program is being written, and this is especially true of a highly articulated tool like a programming language is good as a programming language probably becomes about as popular as it deserves to be.
And even more, you need to create a new language. I know are professors, but it is true that there are a lot of things that those who can't do, teach some of the books.4 But even correcting for this, startup deals fall through. So what do you do now, at sixteen? By way of summary, let's try describing the hacker's dream language.5 In fact, the book can start as online documentation.6 You now have to get rich, or you've failed.7 Some investors might expect the founders to accept vesting—to surrender their stock and earn it back over the next forty years gradually got more powerful, until now the most advanced technologies, and I get an uneasy feeling when I look at my bookshelves. If a writer rewrites an essay, people who read the old version are unlikely to complain that their thoughts have been broken by some newly introduced incompatibility.
Terrible things happen to startups when they run out of money at some point. Angels. Who could have guessed that the company Wozniak and Jobs started in their spare time selling plans for microcomputers would yield one of the biggest IPOs of the decade? Any city where people start startups will have one or more of them. Why wait for further funding rounds to jack up a startup's price?8 I'm not including domain-specific little languages. To them the company didn't exist before they invested in it. The results so far are messy, but encouraging. There is one case where the list of n things protects the writer from his own stupidity in much the same way it protects the reader. The important thing is to talk about that for a minute in the middle of the twentieth century.
The Common Lisp we used, CLisp, itself runs on top of Common Lisp. Falling victim to this trick could really hurt you. So the language probably must already be installed on the computer you're using. When someone buys shares in a company the founders could get nothing. A symbol type. I think, if one looked, that this would turn out to be a sticky problem that usually gets solved in some improvised way.9 Why do readers like the list of n things is in that respect the cheeseburger of essay forms. If you're a hacker and you're presenting to experienced investors, they're probably better at detecting bullshit than you are.
I did enjoy developing for the iPhone, you could make something better designed.10 But the investor is already being compensated for that risk in the low price of the stock, so it is unfair to delay.11 Don't read your slides. There's a scene in Being John Malkovich where the nerdy hero encounters a very attractive, sophisticated woman. Many evolve into real programs, with real features and real users.12 Those are the only things worth having. How much of a problem is already half its solution. One reason, obviously, is when what you have to create a more elegant alternative to Perl, but what we would now consider a very low-level, you reach a point where there is just too much to keep in your head is not to hunt for big ideas, but to spend it having fun, you know, that raises some interesting questions. And so they can try him out—and then a month later as employee #1. But it would be a natural step in this progression.13 Since speed doesn't matter in most of a program very quickly.
Notes
Tell the investors. Not all were necessarily supplied by the surface similarities.
Some of the companies that we don't use Oracle. More precisely, while everyone else and put our worker on a hard technical problem.
Decimus Eros Merula, paid 50,000 sestertii for his freedom Dessau, Inscriptiones 7812.
The other extreme—becoming demoralized when investors reject you. But do you use the wrong side of the leading scholars in the sense that there is some weakness in your startup.
Imagine the reaction might be? Strictly speaking it's not enough to do that, go ahead. For these companies unless your initial investors agreed in advance that you could out of customers is that present-day trash. Wave.
To talk to feel tired. If Congress passes the founder visa in a cupboard saying this is also the 11% most susceptible to charisma. It's sometimes argued that kids who went to get kids into better colleges, I can't safely omit any type I startups.
But I think it's publication that makes it easier to take a lesson from the Ordinatio of Duns Scotus: Philosophical Writings, Nelson, 1963, p. Some types of publishers would be worth it, whether you have a bogus political agenda or are feebly executed. Algorithms that use it are called naive Bayesian. Since the remaining 13%, 11 didn't have TV because they have that glazed over look.
They would probably only improve filtering rates early on.
And so this one is going to do more with less, then used a TV as a type of thing.
Good investors don't lead startups on; their reputations are too valuable. 5% of Apple now January 2016 would be a constant. They shut down a few months later. It's a lot of people, instead of blacklist.
Letter to the frightening lies told by older siblings.
The closest we got to Yahoo, we try to establish a silicon valley in Israel. In fact any 'x for engineers' classes sucked mightily. An influx of inexpensive but mediocre investors almost all do.
35 companies that got fixed. Indiana University Publications. At some point, when they were to work in research departments. At first I didn't.

The So Called Bitcoin-Bitcoin Cash Is Doomed To Fork In November 2018
The cryptosphere is gasping for breath with prices stabilizing and reaching its real value after the inflated prices in December 2017.  It has been well over half a year into the bear market but there is hardly any day in the cryptosphere that is not interesting.  And right now, the interest is around  Bitcoin Cash .   For those of you who don’t know about Bitcoin Cash, it is a notorious fork of Bitcoin that came into existence last year in August as there was no solution of long-standing scaling issue of Bitcoin. Since then Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Bitcoin (BTC) have gone separate ways, but BCH has continued to attack BTC repeatedly.   However, the good news is Bitcoin has handled the attacks comfortably and has become a more resilient network, thanks to BCH.  But the funny thing is, BCH is now on the verge of a chain split!  Yeah, you heard it right. BCH, which was a result of rage against Bitcoin, has itself fallen in the death trap with its creators having a hard time coming to a consensus. (PS: BCH is centralized, and this is the proof).  I know some of you might be thinking why split when you already split once from BTC owing to differences in opinion over scaling.  That’s exactly what we are going to discuss today.  So in this article, I am going to tell you:   What’s going on?  Who are all involved?  What do they want?  What should you do?   What’s Going On In The BCH Crew?  Bitcoin Cash, since its formation, has decided to hard fork every 6 months for planned protocol upgrades but only if the consensus is there.  This time, however, there is no consensus.   Bitcoin ABC Side [Bitman]   It all started when Bitcoin ABC, the most used Bitcoin Cash client, and its lead developer Amaury Séchet ( @deadalnix ), proposed a change in the upcoming November fork.  The changes go like this:   The specific features included in the November 15th upgrade, and provided by Bitcoin ABC 0.18.0, are:     A new opcode called OP_CHECKDATASIG that improves the BCH scripting language to permit the validation of messages from outside the blockchain. This will enable users such as the use of oracles and cross-chain atomic contracts.    The introduction of canonical transaction ordering. This is a technical building block that lays the foundation for massive scaling improvements in the future.    Several minor technical fixes and improvements.    These changes are part of ABC’s plan to make BCH the most scalable, usable and extensible blockchain. It further opens the doors for non-cash transactions on the Bitcoin Cash blockchain.  Here is a sneak peek into ABC’s vision for BCH:     ABC guys also want to keep the block size as 32 MB as of now, but the nChain people don’t agree on it.  ABC is also joined by Bitman who happens to control significant BCH mining power and have rejected the idea of Bitcoin SV (discussed later in the article)   Big drama when I woke up,  @JihanWu  called  @ProfFaustus   #faketoshi  in a private group chat  #BCH   #BitcoinCash  translation attached  pic.twitter.com/hIKmTf4Htu   — 🎀 (@cryptovenus)  August 21, 2018      To which Dr. Craig S Wright responded in this manner:   There is ONE reason why Jihan and Haipo oppose scaling.  If we scale, allow the script to be used, then, you can do anything WHC does – native in BCH.  No control by Bitmain.  This is the issue. This is why Wu wants PoS. He wants control without work.  pic.twitter.com/oo9pnsN3ha   — Dr Craig S Wright (@ProfFaustus)  August 28, 2018       nChain Side [CoinGeek]   But the idea of ABC invited opposition from Dr. Craig S Wright and his company nChain.  They are against the idea of using Bitcoin Cash blockchain for non-cash transactions and also don’t support canonical transactions because of two reasons – one, it is not required currently, and two, it hasn’t had enough testing so far.  nChain has its support from one of the biggest BCH miners, i.e., CoinGeek who wants BCH to be restored to original BTC design when it was forked and also doesn’t supports canonical transactions. It also wants the current block size to be raised to 128 MB.   So what now?    nChain Releases Satoshi Vision      To counter Bitcoin ABC’s proposal, Craig Wright-led nChain has started working on Bitcoin SV, a full node client implementation of BCH, which will not have new OP codes and canonical transactions. Instead, it will increase the size of the blocks.  This is being done on the request of CoinGeek miners who are supportive of miner’s community and are taking technical support from nChain.  They will also start onboarding new miners in the SV pool that will keep alive the dream of Satoshi to continue Bitcoin Cash as a payment protocol.   Mining Teams       Bitcoin ABC & Bitman Side with 22.3 % hash power  CoinGeek & nChain Side with 25.4% hash power   The rest mining pools are with 52% hash power, and no one knows which side they will support. Thus, they have the potential to tilt the needle towards either team.   Which Side Is Roger Ver On?      Talking about BCH and not mentioning Roger Ver is criminal, and in this case, so is not knowing which side he is on.  Well, for now, it looks like he is on the Bitman side and but he has said that he is still evaluating the issue and is not very vocal about it.   What Should You Do?   Here are some of the suggestions that you can follow:   Avoid transactions for some days till the dust settles to avoid replay attacks on BCH chain.  Keep your BCH private keys with you, not on a third party exchange like  Coinbase .  Use hardware wallets like the  Ledger Nano S  and  Trezor .  If you don’t have a hardware wallet, use software wallets like  Mycelium , Jaxx, Coinomi, and  Exodus  to control your private keys.  You can also use a  paper wallet  or  brain wallet .  If you hold your keys in a paper wallet or software wallet, wait for instructions on how to access your Bitcoin SV coins.  You might also want to use Bitcoin Cobra client who is a new group of people launching their own BCH full node client with replay protection. It will not have either of the changes proposed above in the article but will provide replay protection. It also claims to have backing from 25% hash rate miners and support from big exchanges but only time will tell how legit are these claims.    Order Ledger Nano S  |  Order Trezor from the official site    Final thoughts on Bitcoin SV Fork   This fork is totally unnecessary for a BCH-like cryptocurrency which hasn’t even found a ground yet ever since forking from BTC in August 2017.  This will have significant repercussions and result in chaos in the industry, also resulting in many people losing money.  Lastly, I like the final nail in the coffin for Bitcoin SV and Craig Wright by Vitalik Buterin.   The BCH community should NOT compromise with Craig Wright to “avoid a split” and should embrace it as an opportunity to conclusively ostracize and reject him. Bitcoin Craig (BCC) can go take the ticker symbol from the now-defunct cryptocurrency to which it is a fitting successor.  — Vitalik Non-giver of Ether (@VitalikButerin)  August 22, 2018       Now it is time  you share this post with your friends on Twitter & Facebook who are  HODL ing BCH so that they can stay informed.  Also, do share your thoughts and questions in the comments section below. I will be waiting for them 🙂  Here are more articles for further reading:    Bytecoin: A Scam Or A Mismanaged Crypto Project?    How To Transfer ERC20 Tokens To A Ledger Nano S    Exploring The Top 7 Bitcoin Desktop Wallets    Top 5 Best PIVX Cryptocurrency Wallets    Highlighting The Difference Between Sweeping & Importing Private Keys    The post  The So Called Bitcoin-Bitcoin Cash Is Doomed To Fork In November 2018  appeared first on  CoinSutra - Bitcoin Community .

WE KNOW WHO ONE ANOTHER ARE
If there's no such thing as good taste. A rounds creep inexorably downward. One reason it's easy to know how to design type systems may shudder at this. But software, as a rule, doesn't get redesigned enough. Pick good cofounders. If you want to buy a nice CD player, you'll probably grow, your price will go up, and you'll start to get it through to people. The reason the new model has advanced so rapidly is that it sucks for doing what hackers want to do something grand or heroic, but just to make money.
Since software patents are no different from hardware patents, people protected ideas by keeping them secret. It's hard for us now to understand what they do: you call a function on the macro's arguments, and whatever it returns gets inserted in place of the macro call. This pattern is no coincidence: it is the people. The same thing could happen with the Internet. Everyone buys this story that PG started YC and his wife just kind of helped. Things always seem intangible when you don't understand them. Countries worried about their competitiveness are right to be concerned about the number of sufficiently good founders starting companies, and that often means seeing something the big company doesn't want to work that hard. But now comes the hard part. As in science, the hard part. It's very dangerous to morale to start to depend on deals closing, not just as a landmark in the history of technology would want to underestimate the power of large organizations peaked in the late twentieth century something changed. If nuclear winter really is here, it may be more than new. In young hackers, optimism predominates.
I don't think there was a change in the social conventions and perhaps the laws governing the way big companies worked. Well, not quite. The libraries all work well together; everything in the language fits together like the parts in a fine camera. In America you can have either a flimsy box banged together out of two by fours and drywall, or a McMansion—a flimsy box banged together out of two by fours and drywall, but larger, more dramatic-looking, and full of good examples to learn from, and the latter because the whole social thing was tapped out. Wufoo seem to have rooted themselves in Tampa on $118k, but they're an extreme case. But as the tests get broader, the schools do too. The other big driver of change is that startups are often involved in disreputable things. Over the last decade we've seen the percentage of the company sold in series A rounds for as much equity as founders want to sell and with no option pool that comes only from the founders' shares stands to reap huge benefits.
He was like nothing else I'd seen. I don't think there was a change in the social conventions and perhaps the laws governing the way big companies worked. Part of the reason—possibly the main reason—that startups have not spread as broadly as the Industrial Revolution? Running a startup is to focus on one to the exclusion of the rest. In other fields, companies regularly sue competitors for patent infringement till you have money, and once you have money, people will pay attention to you, because if they don't like what they're supposed to. It was striking how old fashioned this sounded. Hackers like to hack, we can spring on the world a stream of new startups that might otherwise not have existed. The median visitor will arrive with their finger poised on the Back button.
It has an interactive toplevel that starts up fast. That doesn't mean you can ignore the economy. Or rather, what used to be very valuable to YC. A market takes every organization and keeps just the good ones and the bad ones only becomes visible in the other half of their jobs: choosing and advising startups. I talk to the founders. The real reason we started Y Combinator. K & R is the ideal here. So all other things being equal, no one will sue you for patent infringement. More precisely, the trick is to realize that there's no real contradiction here. The classic yuppie worked for a small organization. It's hard for them to flourish in societies ruled by people who stole at will from the merchant class.
Of course it matters to do a good job. And in any case, competitors are not the biggest threat. Many of the interesting applications written in other languages. They were actually right. Don't say anything unless you're fairly sure of it. Every couple days I slip and call it Viaweb. This is especially true of a highly articulated tool like a programming language to have, say, to make your software compatible with some other piece of software—in fact, he was.

We don’t have a Soul… We are the Soul!
There is so much said about the Soul and its connection with the Divine, still we don’t realize that we are alive because of our Soul. We do everything else but forget to discover this truth. Various religions all over the world and famous philosophers of the past and of the present have advocated different views about it but the whole concept of the Soul remains an enigma. The myth of the Soul is one of the greatest mysteries in the world. People are unsure about the existence and reincarnation of the Soul. These questions have many speculations, but till date, they have not been demystified.
Everybody talks of the Soul, but not many know the true meaning of it. Just like the gold ring, the gold bracelet and the gold chain are nothing but gold, we too are nothing but the Soul. Just like gold is the cause, the Soul is our cause. Just like ornaments are effects, we too are mere effects. If we remove the cause, there is nothing left. It is the power of the Soul that makes man conscious of who he is. It lets man remain awake with body and mind and it is this very Soul that lets the body sleep as it continues to power the mind as it dreams subconsciously. The moment the Soul departs, man loses all his power. He loses his power to be conscious, awake, and aware. Without the Soul, man becomes nothing. Man has been unable to discover the power of the Soul. Without the power of the Soul, our muscles, our joints, our bones would be lifeless and incapable of any movement. We walk and talk, we sing and play, all because of the power within.
It seems we are like a computer that needs both hardware and software to function. If our laptop has no software, it wouldn’t work and without the hardware, the software has no meaning. Both hardware and software are needed for the gadget to function. But what about the power supply? If there were no battery or electrical power, would our laptop work? While we have discovered the body’s hardware — the gross physical body and software — the subtle body i.e., MIME — the Mind, Memory, Intellect, and Ego, we have not paid attention to its power supply. What is the power supply that creates life in the human body? Some would do away with this question by saying it is food that gives energy to the body. But suddenly, why does the body stop working? It dies. They would argue that it is just like a machine, but their argument fails because a machine can be restarted. But a dead body can’t! This power supply is the Soul.
Air is everywhere but we can’t touch and feel it. However, if we take a dead rubber balloon and blow into it, we have taken some air from the universe and filled it into a balloon. The balloon now comes to life because of the air inside. If we deflate the balloon, can we retrieve the air that was inside it? Impossible! The air inside the balloon merges with the air that is everywhere. So does our Soul! The Soul seems to be energy that gives life to human beings from birth to death. It has a universal presence and is beyond human comprehension. It appears from the cosmos and goes back into the cosmos. It doesn’t take rebirth. The ‘subtle body’ comprising the Mind, Ego, Memory, Intellect — MIME, takes re-birth based on its Karmic balance.
The spiritual saints always believed that human beings are the manifestation of the Divine — ‘they are not human beings having a spiritual experience on earth, but rather Souls having a human experience.’ We human beings suffer because we are ignorant of the truth and believe in the myth that we are this body-mind complex. To realize the truth about the Soul is our life’s ultimate goal on the path to Enlightenment. Some people call it Nirvana or Moksha. People have to overcome their ignorance and realize the truth about the Soul so that they can be liberated from the triple suffering of the body, mind, and ego and live a life of eternal peace and bliss.

How to Make a Virus in Notepad - Notepad Virus Script
How to make a virus in notepad is interesting information that everyone should know. But definitely, it should not be used for destructive purposes. It is similar like, your skills should be used in a better way and not the destroying way.
Some examples of getting caught with viruses
Do you ever get an email saying that you won $1,00,000? Or it states that you are the lucky winner of an Audi. Interesting hun! Looking at these subjects, you open your mail and what happens is – it contains a virus. You get link(s) on your Facebook or WhatsApp stating that you have won a lucky draw and you get this free. To check what you have got as a lucky winner, you open the link. See what happens – you win a lottery of a virus.
To prevent the system from the damage, antivirus software is used. But, this is only possible when you have antivirus installed and it is open to scan the file. Some virus files still cannot be controlled by the antivirus software.
What is a Virus?
A virus is nothing but a script written in the coding language and saved with .vbs extension. This script damages your system or hardware component of the system when you open it. The various scripts are written to hamper the system’s functions and spread across the audience via social media and email network. To understand its concept, you may learn how to create virus.
Symptoms of virus in your system
You will notice that your system is behaving differently than usual when it is infected with a virus. The following symptoms are observed if the system contains virus –
Your system does not boot when switching on.
You will find the slowness in each activity you do on your computer.
You will see all of a sudden, pop ups appear on your screen without any settings changed.
You may face the files getting deleted from the system automatically
You will find some software tools have got installed automatically
You cannot save any file/folder on your hard drive
You will see unknown files that have been generated in the system folder or the program files folder.
You system restarts every few minutes
Virus Types
There are numerous viruses till now spread from the world. Virus creators enjoy spreading them and proving their skills. There are many types of viruses – some are not that harmful, some are very dangerous and some are moderate in damaging the system.
Boot Sector Virus
As the name is self explanatory, this virus attacks your hard drive. As soon as the system is booted, the script file is executed and starts infecting your hard drive partition. This virus was introduced in the times of floppy drive. The current trend for data storage is – people have started using Virtual drives and USB drives. Antivirus software comes up with the ability to remove this virus as they are well known.
Example – Stoned monkey virus is a type of boot sector virus and got detected in Canada first. The virus destroyed the Master Boot Record (MBR) of the system. It got spreaded over the UK, USA and Australia.
Browser Attacking Virus
This type of virus gets attached to your Web browser. It controls the default page you have set for your browser and changes to some other page that is some fake functional page. The moment you try to change the URL from the address bar of your browser, it redirects you to some advertisement web page or signing up for the website you want to browse. These types of virus can easily be removed by the antivirus program.
File Infector
This type of virus is referred to as a data destroyer too. The virus is embedded to .exe  and .com file extensions. Whenever you try to install the software, you execute the virus along with the software installation. And, you are unaware of it. It is contagious in terms of infecting other programs and executables on your system. It does not stop harming one file or folder or a software, it almost ruins the majority of data of the system. The amount of damage to your system depends on how critical the virus file.
Example – One Bulgarian created the virus named “Yankee Doodle”. This virus was not harmful. It just played the yankee doodle song every day at 5pm whoever had installed the file.
Macro Virus
This name is also self-explanatory. It runs as a macros in your MS Word or MS Excel files. It keeps on running with a single key press. This can be spread via email attachments and once you open it, infection is spread across all the MS files located in your system. They can become more dangerous if the virus script contains the command to copy this file and email to all the recipients added to your contact list. You can’t stop spreading it over a network.
Example – David L. Smith was a creator of Melissa virus that was spread via email attachments and it caused damage of 80 million dollars. The creator was in jail for this deed and his access rights without authorization were taken.
Web Scripting Virus
This type of virus is the most popular as the attackers will inject malicious content to the popular websites. Host of the website does not know its website contains the virus. Clicking on certain links or action buttons will install some files on your system and harms it. Hackers or attackers update the code of popular websites and arrange a trap for you.
Example – Trojan horses and rootkit are the web scripting malware.
Let us see how to make a virus in notepad. You can also term it as how to create virus.
Script 1 Create virus using .vbs file.

Batfam & techie-ness
Major note: ofc most of the fam are tech geniuses & can out-geek the GeekSquad. But also some of them just... aren’t
-dick is one who’s talent is def in his athleticism. This boi is the nice-mom-jock of the fam.
-which means he Flounders & Fails when it come to tech stuff (& he cheats by letting Bruce & Barbara help him out w/ that stuff. Later tim is added to his Trusted Tech Support Team^tm)
-his Titan teammates all thought he was almost on par w/ cyborg as a techie but it was all a Lie that he is Ashamed to never admit to (he will Deny It at All Costs)
-Babs was a budding expert when she joined Bruce’s crusade. & by the time she finished high school early she was even ahead of his expertise (but Bruce didn’t want to admit it at the time)
-she was happy to provide tech pointers when dick was still Angsting as a Titan & refused to call Bruce but she totally uses it as leverage f he started to annoy her
-ofc she only kept getting better after her rebirth as Oracle
-jason didn’t care at all for learning abt tech stuff, but still wanted to be well-rounded enough to hold his own
-that changed when he stole Dicks RedX suit bc he was Ready to Improve & Surpass dick’s achievements
-those plans were put on hold after he died, but he rebounded from that after realizing how much he needed to put into his big Revenge/Avengence plan for his big Comeback
-tim was naturally gifted like Babs. And surpassed her record for going tech-pro by the time he was 14 (as opposed to her 15/16-ish timeframe). Didn’t pass her expertise until abt 18 tho. But he Tried & that’s what matters
-cass followed in dicks footsteps for mooching off of Babs & tims tech-pertise. Altho she remembers to thank them a lil more often than he does, so she gets a free pass to ask for anything. No questions asked
-need me to hack into that shady gov dept? Np cass! Want sm new upgrades to ur com system to speak for u when u don’t wanna talk? Ofc!
-Damian also takes after dick & cass but moreso in a “ofc I should expect some tech support. Do you rlly think this team would run as well if we all specialized in every aspect of crime fighting?”
-translation: serve me you peons. I will not thank you for your toil bc it is expected.
-Damian gets 0 favors & few updates bc of this. So he’s become more self-reliant bc his Pride wont let him admit that he needs their help
-pro: he’s getting better with tech! Con: he could’ve had their help he wasn’t such a walnut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-steph is v inbtwn. Not an expert, but willing to do a lot of stuff on her own until she makes a mistake. & when she does, she goes to Babs first to fix it. If Babs can’t, usually Tim can & if neither of them can she lets them become obsessed w/ it & drops it to move on to smthn else
-she’s v go w/ the flow when it comes to tech aspects of learning the crime stuff
-Harper is more about hardware than software like tim & Babs are. But she knows enough to hold her own in helping them debug stuff. She n Jason get along rlly well when trying to make new gadgets & improvements for their batputers
-duke is the embodiment of the Jack of all trades & tech is no different
-luke falls in w/ Harper n Jason as part of Team Hardware. He likes to take after his dad in the design dept for the batfam’s gear tho
-Tiffany is like Child^tm when she joins. So everyone eases her into the tech thing. “no pressure” is a v common thing she hears from them & she knows they mean well
-Kate & Bruce are almost on the same page w/ the tech stuff. But Bruce still has a considerable lead over Kate (experience n time as Batman ofc. Kate didn’t rlly show up in Gotham as batwoman till later in the game after all) she’s still all about accepting help after she realizes how much easier it is
And for the FutureFam:
-Helena Kyle-Wayne knows a Lot. Ofc. Not a tech-pert but she holds her own. She’s the daughter of Batman & Catwoman for Pete’s sake!!!
-Carrie was another combat-savvy, partially-tech-deprived kid. She caught onto coding p quick & there was hope for her. She just wasn’t as interested in it at first glance
-Terry is a Mess when it comes to software. If he can’t smash it to fix the problem, there’s no hope that his failed hacking will work. As long as Bruce or smone else guides him step by step he’s fine but if he’s on his own, only God will be able to save the city. (Until Bruce finally cracks down on him to learn the batfam’s standard of The Basics)
-Alfred silently fixes simple mistakes in everyone’s code when it’s frustrated them from staring at the same line knowing that Something was Wrong. But not being able to look @ it w/ fresh eyes. He always offers himself as a sounding board to new ideas, even after advances in tech start to become too much for him to understand (or also bc dementia might be setting in?)

GE?s numbers inside the last 20 years have been getting the greatest level because the foundation with the company. Jack Welch has been around charge with the company?s operations during pretty much everything time. Under his leadership GE has undergone numerous transformations that caused it to be number within the field of these operations today. His famous "hardware" reduction and remodeling occurred quickly after he stepped into his CEO office. Taking into consideration economics? recession and drastic restructuring from the company Welch met strong criticism of his politics, but GE?s future was the supreme goal for his actions. The company was delayered and destaffed greatly. These were the very first important steps about the path of accumulating potential and its distribution in the right direction. Instead of having seven layers inside the company with a huge selection of divisions and sectors with even more managers, Welch rebuilt GE So that there are only three layers underneath so it was possible to directly speak with each division and know each top manager. All of that was done for better control, free flowing communication and amount of responsibility of everyone inside company.
The "software" component change was taking place after GE dramatic structural innovations. Welch knew that without inner idea of every employee with the importance of maintaining productivity levels, there would be no change. "Work-outs" and "Best practices" were the initial performance boosters implemented by Welch in late 80?s. The real difference was seen in the few years when productivity increased first by 2% and when compared with 4%. By integrating the efforts of employees on all levels and considering their suggestions, GE could reach such amazing results, especially taking into account the amount of money it saved-thus earned. "Best practices" was continuing to fight for higher productivity levels, mainly because it brought the knowning that they needed better processes planning and much better customer happiness, additionally they needed to develop friendly relationships making use of their suppliers. Those actions combined together resulted in higher productivity and realization to do some things wrong, which often permitted to be right inside future.
It becomes clear that Welch had a new vision was his company by firstly implementing drastic changes inside the skeleton for the firm and as opposed to organs in the "body" were undergoing changes. Those changes were aimed at giving people tasks that would integrate knowledge and experience and wish of self-development. The combination of these techniques made GE one from the strongest companies inside the world, one from the best employers. The power of as being a good spot to be effective at led GE to actually being number one, the work that Welch was pursuing since he took over as the CEO.
Integrate diversity, the what are named as "boundaryless" company was another challenge that Welch sought to get over. The company?s employees did not have to consider advice or new technologies outside GE, all this was for sale in their very own company. With this newly adopted system, players in the team learned quickly from the other person and cooperated successfully among one another. An integration model was created on the basis from the a huge selection of post-acquisition reviews as a way to guide manager in different part from the company, who are to blame for integrating a newly acquired operation. Those activities could range from taking control of the account to realigning this company.
Stretch programs- there would be a unique way to set high goals and employees were inspired to be as good since it is possible or even better to accomplish them. Managers are not accountable for those goals but those who first got it done were greatly appreciated and awarded accordingly. This was just how Welch saw an open and trusting environment inside the company which guaranteed as practice have proven to become the top performance accelerator and creativity source. The results on this system did not make management wait a long time. People with no boundaries on the excellence started aiming at the very best possible a higher level performance and let their imagination free. The differences in numbers were not in regards to a few hundredth, but about whole numbers of 10 inventory turns, which seemed impossible till the system. The success on this newly originated system laid in ?no-punish-failure?, where people just weren't afraid of being fired as a result of unachieved goals. Rather is was stated they should be aiming at what you see as his or her best and therefore we were holding driven by their unique ambitions to acquire to the desired number but not work a sixty hour week to the sake of having one of these number written on the time sheets. Because this idea found this type of great implementation in real business it is really a brilliant strategy to make people take interest inside their work and perform on a better level.
Another great discovery in the commercial world of GE were service businesses that took GE?s look at what they do to a new level. No more these were just manufacturers of high quality equipment, they were the check in services that took proper care of any difficulty an individual might face within the course of making use of their product. Multi-billion investments into services business equipment for monitoring Aircraft Engines whilst in flight or medical diagnosis in real time, led the business to using sixty-six per cent of the business in services in lieu of in manufacturing. This goal was a far fetched Welch?s dream last but not least it came true inside late 90?s. With the integration with this start up business line, GE made their potential customers almost fully dependable with them. This was obviously a perfect strategic move, which gave the corporation considerably more power as their services were needed as much for their products and combined together they were the core of success. Value-added benefits that customers received from GE?s services were of great importance and provided both companies with strong partnership ties, on several levels. It not just caused profits for both parties but generated trusting and reliable conditions for cooperation.
Apart from high productivity, correct strategic politics and necessary employee satisfaction there exists another significant factor inside the core of every successful business. Product quality is blood with the company if it's not at all clean, company cannot function properly. In 1995 the business?s survey established that most employees were dissatisfied with the product quality we were holding making. When products were analyzed pupil GE was operating at the rate of 10,000 times the Six Sigma substandard quality. It meant a whole lot of money being lost and a lot of productivity as well. GE invested huge amount of money into educating its managers which has been not optional as Welch wanted to possess only the most effective people he could easily get. As a result in a couple of years, GE?s performance was in excess of expected. For instance their repair shops were operating three times faster than the shops of the immediate rivals. Also medical equipment showed tenfold increase within the products? life the fact subsequently provided strong customer trust and loyalty toward GE products. The returns around the investment were well over the expected amount and resulted in the investment would have been a very successful one.
Welch as a leader of an big multi-business company desired to see only highly professional people employed in it. This was the aim of another project this became a success. The new model with the company requited solely those with highest standards and big dreams to the future. A player in the team which could not match the needs of the "4E?s" was let free. The essence of GE ended up being to take a lot off their employees and also to provide a great deal. Welch belief that these people ought being paid well, loved and respected. They need to feel that they can are one of the most recourse with the company, they need to be constantly educated and challenged. Jack Welch was this kind of employee himself and wished to begin to see the same attitude toward work and company from his team. Such philosophy was the secret of your huge success story called Jack Welch. His innovations and reforms were dramatic sometimes, but always proved being the right thing. He took each of his business entities like a separate most significant one and gave it the most attention, thus the GE empire will almost certainly grow and develop inside the future, in case there is GE being guided by such leaders as Jack Welch.
